I had an issue that started with an online order so I called the toll-free number and spoke with a rep who was surprisingly delightful and caring! After her research into the matter, she transferred the call to a supervisor who was better equipped to provide assistance with my issue. The supervisor was equally delightful (!) and after deciding it was best dealt with at my local store level, she called a manager at Silverdale. He suggested that I come into the store and talk with any manager on duty, and so I did the next day. Although at first Manager, Summer, seemed skeptical, she took the time to thoroughly research in the problem (looking at my account, calling the manager who had been on duty, checking stock...), and then provided several flexible and positive solutions. The reason I think she was great is because after she inherited my problem, she completely "owned" the issue intent on finding appropriate, workable solutions. She was a joy to work with and I felt she was not only professional, but clearly she enjoys her job, feels respected and appreciated, and highly values the customer. (Note: When her earpiece had fallen out and she thought employees were ignoring her call to help a waiting customer, she laughed at herself recognizing it was her mistake- never once trying to shift the blame. Sure this isn't a big deal, but it represented a characteristic one would want in a supervisor!) I was an occasional Dick's customer previously because of convenience and price, but I am definitely now a LOYAL Dick's customer because of excellent customer service, and while surely Summer epitomizes excellent customer service, I had great, caring service from every employee involved!

I ended up purchasing a used 2006 Yamaha from them, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. The installation of the new motor, tachometer, and throttle control was incredibly clean and professionally done. Working with Mike was an excellent experience from start to finish. He's personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely takes the time to make you feel comfortable throughout the process. The turnaround time was much quicker than I expected, and what really stood out was how it felt like I was dealing with friends rather than just a business. That kind of customer service is pretty special these days. They're a little farther of a drive for me than I'd prefer, but it's absolutely worth it. I won't be taking my boat--or my business--anywhere else. Highly recommended!

They found a fuel delivery issue and a loose battery connection. When it still wasn't right, they kept digging and found the route cause. Instead of providing a quick fix and sending me on my way, they ensured everything was correct and up to spec. I highly recommend them, and appreciate their attention to detail.

One guy would be helping then walk away then another would come over. It seems a bit disorganized. Also, I was told someone would call when my background check came back, but based on the reviews, I decided to call and found out I had passed with no notification. I reached out by email to someone about another issue, which I later realized was not an issue and my husband made a mistake, but they were very good at reaching out and trying to rectify the situation, which I appreciated. Bottom line, there needs to be better training for the guys at the gun counter. Most of them are knowledgeable and helpful, but definitely a lot of disorganization with helping of customers and getting/communicating information.

I showed the cashier the signs, there were over a dozen throughout the department. He said that the sale was over and they just hadn't taken the signs down yet. No date on the signs, no sorry, nada. He wouldn't honor it. Off to somewhere else to shop for me.
