No Worries Fishing Charters

No Worries Fishing Charters

Twice my father has gone on an Alaska cruise, so excited to go fishing, and twice his fishing…read moreexcursion has been canceled, This time, when he returned to Seattle, I knew I had to find a way to get him out fishing. I'm so glad I found No Worries and Captain Lorenzo. We really lucked out! Captain Lorenzo met us down in Port Orchard early in the morning. He was on time (or early, either way, he was there before us!) and had the boat ready to go when we arrived at the launch. He even met me at my car to help us unload our bags and show us the best parking spot. My parents and I brought snacks but No Worries Fishing Charters provided everything else - the license, the bait and tackle, even bottled drinking water. Captain Lorenzo and his first mate Noah helped us onto the boat and were patient as my mom climbed on with her bum knee. This small boat is ideal for 3-4 passengers plus two crew and a very personalized trip. This is not like some charters or party boats where there are hundreds of passengers. As we sailed out through Agate Pass, Captain Lorenzo pointed out some sites and explained what we were seeing. My parents loved getting a little tour of the area! Not to give away our super-secret fishing spot, but we ended up fishing near the Kingston area. Later, throughout the day we learned more about Captain as he kept us entertained and informed, telling us about how he grew up and spent his whole career on all different types of boats. My dad said that some fishing charter captains sit back and read a newspaper like "I got you here, you do the fishing." Not No Worries! Captain Lorenzo and Noah kept busy the whole time - reading the fish finder, checking the lines, cutting bait. They were working hard to make sure we had the best fishing experience. One cool thing is that you could definitely get as involved or take it easy however you want. For example, my dad had a lot of questions - what lure are you using, how does the downrigger work, what do you usually catch, how long have you been doing this... my mom was pretty happy to sit in the boat and wait for the Captain to say, "Looks like we got something! Do you want to come reel one in?" I thought it was awesome that Lorenzo and Noah catered to both - answering my dad's questions and matching his enthusiasm, and keeping my mom involved. We didn't catch a whole lot of keepers (I caught the biggest silver or coho, of course, not that it's a competition...) but we saw action all day and had a great day out on the water. Truly, the father-daughter bonding time is the highlight, right? Well, that and the salmon dinner. At the end of the fishing day, Captain cleaned and fileted our catch and bagged it for us, ready for our cooler and, later, our grill! It was nice that we didn't have to get our hands too dirty. Overall we had a great day and I would definitely recommend No Worries Fishing Charter to anyone looking to get on the water. My whole family was truly impressed! Thank you Captain Lorenzo for making our day so memorable!

My husband and I just completed a wonderful day of Lingcod fishing with 'No Worries Fishing…read moreCharters'. It wasn't a successful fishing day for any of the boats in our area (Blake Island) but it wasn't for a lack of trying. We did catch plenty of rock cod which I still found exciting. We have booked private charters before, and both my husband and I were very impressed with how organized and committed our guide was. I was not great at keeping from snagging my line on the bottom and losing lures, but there was always a back up rod prepared and ready for the water while my previous rod was having a new lure tied on to it. The boat was clean and well organized, and I was relieved to learn there is a private toilet area in the front. Our kind guide was generous with his time offering to continue fishing after our six hour session was up because he genuinely felt bad that the fish weren't biting today. We are grateful to have made contact with this charter and will give it another try when salmon season begins.

Thought since I bought my boat from them, they'd be ok to list with.... NOT!…read more Port Orchard Yacht Sales owner, Robert (Cptn. Rob) Heay listed our boat for sale in 2008. It was clean, newly tuned up, newly powerwashed, and ready to sell. Month after month, we heard nothing. The only advertisement he ever posted was on his website. We independently posted Craigslist and others to attract more attention. We got alot of responses and forwarded to Rob. NOTHING. Not even status updates of what some liked or what may need to be fixed or updated, etc. When we emailed for a status on showings or interests, etc. we'd have to wait more than a week for a standard "nothing new" response. 14 months after list date, we finally cancelled our contract and are going with another company. Two weeks after cancellation and still no boat keys. We sent him another request and got an "oops, forgot. Will send." Now with Emerald Sales. Within the first week, the new broker called us and emailed pics of how AWFUL our boat looked!!! The dehumidifier was unplugged causing mold in the cabin. The door was left open so mice got in leaving droppings throughout. The entire outside of the boat was covered in moss and algae. There is NO way this boat was EVER shown!! LET ALONE walked through, cared for, or maintained! No wonder it never sold!! All the inquiry emails we sent obviously were responded with lies as there is NO way he could have actually been out to the boat and then said everything was A-OK. The only thing we heard was how many thousands of dollars we should lower the list price. Apparently, since we no longer live in WA and can be there to supervise, he figured it didn't matter. We now have to pay $500 minimum to get her cleaned up and suited for sale. Our proactive agents are energetic and so far seem ready to do the work necessary to satisfy their clients!!! Guess we should have done more research because EVERY person we've talked to has had NOTHING positive to say about him... even our original broker from when we bought the boat no longer works there!! THANKS FOR NOTHING P.O. YACHT SALES and joke of a captain!!!

He worked on my boat once before, and after I had an issue he told me to bring it back and he would look at it for no charge. He had my boat for 3 months before I finally called to find out what was going on with my boat. He proceeded to tell me that he conducted $500 worth of "diagnostic" work and was unable to repair my boat. I refused to pay since I never authorized any work whatsoever. He told me that if I wanted my boat back I would have to pay, using profanity and trying to bully me. He then proceeded to go ahead and charge my card on file without my authorization. Next step - I am suing. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to work on your boat...

Both had been excellent motors they were getting some hours and I wanted to have them rebuilt so I could continue to trust that reliablity. When I first tried to bring them back they said "no problem, we will make it right-we are however booked very heavily and will need to schedule you down the road". Down the road for Mike's Marine Repair is about a week after the warranty expired. When I delved a little further into Mike's Marine Repair-speaking to several Sound marina's, the Better Business Bureau, and others I found that Mike's Marine Repair is the most reviled not just in Port Orchard-but that his "quality" work is known throughout the sound. From what I understand poor Mike has taken to carrying a gun due to the number of dissatisfied customers. WOW! HEY MIKE DO THE RIGHT THING BY YOUR CUSTOMERS.
