One of the customers was even so familiar with the store and the worker that they rung themselves up for a transaction. Another came in and gave the shop dog a treat. It's nice to see that stores like these are still out there, ones where everyone knows your name. Their are some items for sale for tourists, like me. They have postcards, t-shirts, some small kid's gifts and some other trinkets. Called the store about "all sales final on sales merchandise" on receipt and they are sticking to their policy. Have subsequently noted other review about deceptive pricing. Giving 2 stars because they did offer to hang the clothes in dressing room while I continued shopping, but I will not return to this store again. It's a shame as that type of clothing is my go to and Bainbridge Island is my new home as of late last year.

Mind you she walked in after me, but I guess I didn't have the right "incentives" for attention. After almost 15 minutes of hanging out I was finally approached and asked what I had in the cases. They offered pennies on the dollar for a handful of safe queens, when I asked why their offer was so low the guy shrugged and said "you can only sell these to gun stores now so there's no private market any more, take it or leave it" I left it, I can't justify selling a rifle/scope that I paid $5K for with only 20 rounds down range for $300 because that's just how it is now. The whole experience was so negative that I didn't bother shopping around, I'd rather take my business ANYWHERE else.

Saying this, I fully understand that parts stores don't pay the best, but I also feel like if a company is in business to sell auto parts, I'd hope they would put staffing with knowledgeable people in their business model, even if it means paying more to get better. I've primarily shopped at this store for parts the entire 10 years I've lived in the area. For about the past 5 years they've had a woman working there with horrible customer service skills. One time I was looking for a molded heater hose and was given the ok from someone behind the counter to go down their hose aisle in the back to match up what I was working on because they didn't have what I needed by application. While down the hose aisle, this female employee was stocking the shelves in the same aisle. I asked her if she thought these two hoses were the same diameter and she freaked out, as if I was trying to corner her and force myself on her. That's right, me standing 12 feet away on an aisle with openings on the each end apparently violated her space so much that she needed to have a full blown episode over it. Fine. I continued to shop at this store, but avoided her as much as possible. Generally, she was outside smoking in front of the store each time I came, so never really had to interact with her too much. Recently, I visited the same store to pick up an air filter. When I walked in, there was nobody at the counter, so I found the filter myself, then went back to the counter to pay. There was still nobody working the counter or on the floor. I could hear the same woman taking on the phone in the back. Myself and a few other customers waited for a few minutes, then I called the store's phone number. It rang a few times then I heard someone pickup and immediately hang up. So I called back. The woman who freaked out on me a couple years ago answered. I said that I'm at the counter and would like to give her some money. She said "ooooh kaaaay, as soon as I have someone available they will be up" then promptly hung up. I tossed my air filter behind the counter and left. I went to O'Reilly's and paid less. I don't really see myself coming back.

I don't normally write reviews. After a couple years worth of experience, I feel it's warranted…read more 1. They are an ACE in name only. They do not accept coupons that ACE uses on their app or mailing. It means nothing to them. 2. They do not honor military service like other ACE stores. Not on Veterans or Memorial Day. Not ever. Which is crazy because this is WA with active bases all over this state. 3. Got a Weber grill and propane tank. The tank leaked and the gauge didn't work. Brought back the next day, and they tried to blame the tank fill on Bay Hay & Feed. Said the gauge never really works on them accurately... blah blah. Did not want to exchange the tank. Basically had to hold my ground as a customer with a receipt less than 24 hours after initial sale. They were very unprofessional about it but eventually exchanged. The tank was leaking so bad in the car ride over mind you, all windows had to be opened and we left the tank outside the store doors when conducting the exchange. The manager wanted to actually inspect and attempt to fix the tank and give it back to us. WTAF? Seriously? What happened to honoring the customer who has chosen to spend money in your store? 4. After all this went back a couple months later to buy a small part. Needed to use the restroom. The sign for bathrooms is clearly marked. The door was blocked by piled up boxes with a sign saying...Not working/available indefinitely... the door directly across which is obviously a bathroom as well, is marked Employees Only. When I asked to use restroom, I was told to go across street at Walgreens or the McDonalds. Ummmm ..... here is the deal.... I'm not spending money in those stores. I chose yours for business. Seriously? On Bainbridge Island of all places, is using the restroom that big of a deal? Do not spend your money here no matter how convenient you may think the location is. Take the 20 min drive to Poulsbo or Silverdale.

Called and spoke to Mike today because I am WAY behind in winterizing my Bayliner. I'm a new-ish…read moreboat owner who moved up here from Louisiana, so winterizing is not something I'm familiar with, nor was our tech down in New Orleans. Anyway - Mike was SO helpful answering our questions and did so after hours. I have spoken with numerous other boat shops before when I've had rookie questions, but they've usually been snappy and impatient. Not Mike! He didn't make me feel rushed to get off the phone or that I was inconveniencing him. He gave me some great basic winterization info and I feel so much better going into this nasty cold weather coming this weekend. Thanks Mike! I am definitely going to keep Union Marine in mind for future services.

The new MasterCraft XT22 has had some issues with software and although he said he would be there for us and promised to install the registration stickers, he did not. He just directed me to Julia the Service lead via email. The service interaction has not been a stellar experience. Although Julia is responsive, there is little effort or follow through substance in the interactions. My boat is flawed and no one seems to care and if they do they have no sense of urgency or reasonable communication. It could be that they can't fix it without MasterCraft's help, but they could be more attentive to the interval of communication and give me some timeline to resolution. It is too bad, I had hoped they would be better at all of this as it is their main business. One note of praise goes to June who help us test our boat and even taught us to surf. She lent us her wake board and was very friendly and considerate with her sharing of knowledge and expertise.
