Recently I decided to get a mtb and start riding again after over a decade away from it. In early June I purchased a hard tail trail bike from REI at a great price. It's a nice "entry level" bike but almost impossible to upgrade parts and I quickly ended up wanting something nicer and full suspension. I began scouring the internet and YouTube learning about modern trends and popular brands to figure out what bike to get. I discovered Bicycle Centres via Yelp and popped in to look at some options they had on their site. As soon as I walked in, Will stopped what he was doing to greet me and ask if I needed help. The vibe of the place was good immediately and the selection is better than any other shop I've been to recently. Will is a stud and showed me a bike I hadn't considered that had similar features to what I came in to see. He knows his stuff and answered all my numerous questions as I held him hostage. All of the other employees I interacted with were great as well. I ended up with a sweet bike, a huge upgrade from the hard tail and I'm pumped to pick it up tomorrow. I went in seeking a new seat post, because RAD Bikes told me (in error) the seat was not removable for my bike. I am so lucky that I took the post and seat in with me for reference so I could be sure to purchase the right one! I was greeted by Tim who asked if I needed some help. I told him I needed a post. He was able to confirm that I didn't need a post, and the seat was in fact removable. He told me if I had the seat he could put it on the post for me! I ran out to my car and grabbed the seat I had already purchased. He put it on for me and showed me how. Now I am able to change my husbands seat myself! Talk about great service! Although I didn't purchase anything on todays visit, I am thrilled to have such a friendly and knowledgeable shop nearby! If you're a woman & want to buy a bike, then this is NOT the place for you!! Ryan & Aaron (managers) were extremely rude & misogynistic. They tried selling me a DEFECTIVE bike (while blaming the company) I asked if they took competitive pricing from other shops (they said yes) but then later added other variables to NOT honor it!! Then they got my bike rebate but when I returned the bike (it remained at shop while being fixed) then tried to keep the rebate money!! However, when my husband heard the entire conversation and called them out for Arron's unprofessional manner, he quickly changed his tune....BOTTOM line, BUYER BEWARE of store taking advantage of you!!(Riker & Jonah...were very helpful & nice to work with...the management, NOT SO MUCH!!! read more

First real service I've done .Parts I knew had to be replaced, so I had to put more than I expected into the bike, but with the expertise and customer service I was provided I really felt I was in good hands. The guys helped me find the perfect fitting bike! Even though it took me a few hours to figure out they built the perfect bike! I was able to ride two bikes side to side TWICE to compare them directly. First I rode a medium but thought I'd like a small better, then he put me on a small bike to see if The small was the right fit. Then I wanted to test out the hill climb on the lowest level between a nl1x9 and 2x7. They allowed me the luxury of doing this too! This was so helpful in deciding which bike was right for me. They made me feel like part of the team. As a Joey to mountain biking they took me under their wing and showed me many tricks to the trade. read more

I bought a solid tire from Amazon for my GoTrax G4 electric scooter rear wheels. If you have any experience in trying to install these things, it's almost impossible. I called 10 other bike shops and all of them said they couldn't help me. Not only did Bicycle Centres of Everett Ski and Snowboard told me to bring it in, I actually got a quote and time estimation! Brought in the tire and rim on Wednesday and picked it up Friday! $45!!! Awesome!!! I have experienced minor issues with two bikes. When I showed up on three different occasions, Will and the other employees at the Silverlake location have been extremely courteous and helpful. They have consistently greeted me with a smile and were quick to offer to look at the bike to diagnose the problem. In all instances they found the problem, and fixed it within a matter of minutes. After fixing the problem they even offered to help me load the bike back on my car bike rack. Fantastic customer service and always with a smile. Worse costumer service I have ever experienced. I was planning on buying a helmet today, but I got so discourage on how bad their worker (WADE) handled their mistake. I was looking at giro helmet priced at $55 and also one priced at $65. I asked one of the workers (WADE) to explain the difference between the two. He went and checked his computer and came back and said, quote "they are both $65 it was tag incorrectly" and quote. I asked if they honor the $55 price that was tag and said "NO". Wait! What!? I have never heard of a store that does not honor such. It was their mistake so why can't they honor that? The worker ( WADE) had the audacity to ask me if I ever made mistakes. Oh heck no......... I had a very positive experience here! I brought my bike in for repair, was told it would be ready in about 4-5 days, but then I got a text saying it was ready the next day! The gentleman who helped me, was super friendly and had great customer service while helping me pick accessories for my bike. As well as everyone behind the counter. Purchased a used bike off CL. Was disappointed to find that I couldn't get it to switch gears. Brought it in to the bike center, and the tech was condescending and made me feel like a fool for buying the bike, and suggested that I replace almost $400 worth of parts to get it to switch gears the way I wanted. This guy gave me such a weird vibe that I called a friend and he suggested I take it to Tim's Bicycle Shop to get a second opinion. I walked in and the owner, Jay, was there and he was kind and easy-going, praised me for buying the bike and getting into riding, and fixed my problem for $180. I have been riding it for a few weeks and he fixed my issue and it is riding super smooth. I'll be taking my repairs to Tim's from now on. read more

When I walked in, no one greeted me. When I brought my bike up to the counter, the person asking about it wouldn't even look me in the eye. Not only that but upon making my purchase, the person at the service counter dropped my NEW Bianchi Bicycle. Without even saying anything but, " Oh was that yours?.. ". NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY OR ANYTHING. The owner & manager even said " You good " to the employee and the employee didn't even bother to say anything back. The only thing that made this experience somewhat "okay" is that one employee came up to me during my whole time there to ask if I needed help picking out what helmet to buy. If it wasn't needing a helmet for that day's bike ride I would've gladly brought my money elsewhere. He was very informative and actually gave me time out of his day to be helpful. I had to call my uncle for questions about the helmet before the guy approached me. Please give the older person at the register with glasses a raise. Bicycle Centres of Everett - Small scratch on my rear easy release lever from the bicycle shop.. Very upset - Bikes Near Me - Everett, Washington

I recently had a bad experience with the Bicycle Centers of Snohomish. They charged me $35 to replace a $1.00 spoke that I broke on my rear wheel. This is a 15 minute job. I didn't have a spare spoke so I took it to the shop for replacement. Having done the job myself many times, I know what it takes. So I provided them with just the wheel. I removed the tire, cassette and rim tape. All they had to do is add a new spoke, tension it and check to make sure the wheel was still true. Like I said a 15 minute job if you know what you're doing. The sad thing, I expected them to charge me too much, just not $35 for one spoke. Won't be back, can't recommend and now I will tell people to go elsewhere like Greggs Cycle or Tim's Bikes. Both will treat you better. read more

I LOVE this place, but my story is complicated. My wife and I stopped in to look at bikes expecting high pressure sales. We were pleasantly surprised to talk to a laid back guy who just wanted to answer our questions. We hadn't ridden bicycles in about 30 years and things have changed. The gentleman gave us some info and told us to go home and research on-line and think about what we wanted. The staff is not paid on commission. We came back a week or so later with some models in mind to try and were helped by another staff person who was friendly but kind of on the quiet side. We each bought a bike and some accessories (yelp check in special on accessories) and a bike rack and were pretty happy with our bikes. I am a tall person and the staffer sold me a large size Specialized Sirrus. I later found my arms and hands would get tired on longer rides and went back yesterday to see if they could raise my handlebars and add some bar ends ($20 accessory) to ease this discomfort. The guys working took a look at me and decided I might need a larger size bike. They had me try an extra large version of the same bike which I found to be much more comfortable. They then just traded me straight across AT NO COST TO ME. I have never had better service anywhere. There is the slight issue of getting the wrong size bike in the first place, but I guess my body size could go either way and the only way to know was to ride a reasonable distance. read more

My girlfriend recently decided to get a new bicycle after not riding one for a few years. With bike styles and frames changing so much over the last few years, she needed some help deciding which bike was right for her. When we went to Bicycle Centres of Everett, we received one on one attention, and received honest feedback on all bikes and accessories they carry. We were able to leave with a bike that she enjoyed, and at a price that was fair. One issue that was a concern for my girlfriend was her latex allergy, which could be triggered by the various latex parts of a bike (handle grips, wheels, etc.) The staff at Bicycle Centres of Everett went above and beyond to remove or reduce the amount of latex exposure on the bike. Nigel even went out of his way to do online research and make phone inquiries to make sure that the materials they were using on the bike was latex-free. Thanks to the amazing staff we will return to Bicycle Centres of Everett for all of our bicycle services in the future. read more

I have always felt that how a business deals with a complaint says far more about them than any everyday happy service reports. I called Bicycle Centers of Everett frustrated about a repair on my bike. John was calm while I expressing my concerns and not only let me talk without getting defensive or upset himself but invested the time to talk to me about what could be causing the problem I was having. He met me in the middle with a compromise that made me feel better and will definetly secure my additional patronage of the business. Since I had threatened to do a negative yelp I am instead going to say that I am calmed, pleased and appreciative of receiving some sensitivity and indulgence. I will return. I have gone to this store and most often did get overall good customer service. However, I must be honest, one visit I have had at the bicycle shop has left a bad taste in my mouth. I asked to test ride an Electra E-Bike and took it on a short ride in the parking-lot. When I got back I told the sales person it was a nice bike. The sales person was rude and indicated that there was little a chance I was buying this expensive bike and sounded negative. Well, the reason I asked to test ride the bike was because I was ready to buy the bike I tested or something very similar. This interaction and poor customer service did not make want to buy anything in the store but to find the exit. I defiantly was a serious shopper with cash in hand. However, after such rude comments I purchased a bike at another shop and spent a little more money on the bike I purchased. I ended up getting a life time service package for a small additional price and so got better customers service and a better maintenance plan. It really should have been an easy transaction because I wanted to buy a bike from a local shop. read more

1 star is generous with these people (NO satr is what i was aiming at.) The guy I was talking too, was already irritated. I asked if they could diagnose my newly acquired E bike. He then told me that bringing it in is the best way (agreed) HOWEVER, he did NOT ask for the manufacturer. When I brought it in, he told me they can "Do nothing since its an brand they don't carry," Cool, but then Sir Dumbass, then starting trying to sell their product. When I had enough of his talk, I told him "You can't do anything with my bike? sure" When I was walking out I then called them "dumb and lazy pieces of sh!t" with the pretence "You sell and fix bicycles? and you can't help me!?" was the thought process, when I said that. After a couple of verbal vollies, HE told me to "G oFuck myself". NOW I remember this dude! When I went in to maintenance done on my friends bike, he and his friend convinced me to UPGRADE to a newer bike. I did thinking it was all good since it was same cost. HOWEVER that bike killed my back while riding on bumpy surfaces (half of my commute to work,) so I returned it telling them that. OBVIOUSLY they weren't happy about it (was 500ish) dollar transation they had to reverse) TODAY, I called them again cause the bike I had just purchased was acting funny. I brought it in, and I could feel the "sales" malice brooming. After the conversaion happened, I left and said "Lazy pieces of shit (assuming they can fix anything), Dude came out and told me to "F off, and NEVER come there again!" WISH GRANTED DUMB SH!T" "Out of brand," knowledge needs expand here, outside of "WHAT WE SELL!". Stir clear from these money grubbing idiots, that only help those, that have bought their "EXPENSIVE" bikes. 0/10, never again! read more

The service here is top notch! I recently purchased a 2nd Mtn Bike from this shop and have no been disappointed. I recommend the shop to all riders new and/or experienced. They have stepped up to save me prior to race weekend and always find a way to solve the issue at hand. Good information and advice for your riding style. 2 of the guys I ride with have also purchased from here and are completely satisfied with the service and people. Even during a race weekend one of our team members broke his chain, a guy from this shop (not sure if you wanted your name posted) was at the race and repaired the chain for him on the spot, then came out to Duthie to show us how it was done.
