Just an update for this place since I just got back from dropping my bike off and had yet another amazing experience! I have been going to this bike shop for two years now and have never been disappointed. The men and women who work there always ask how they can help me right when I walk in. Every time I have needed something replaced they show me why it needs replacing and explain that can happen if I don't replace it or share how much longer and I can before replacing it. I have never felt like they are overcharging me or making me buy something I don't need. I truly don't see myself ever going anywhere else for bike needs. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to have my son's bike tuned up. I was immediately greeted and asked how they could help. A nice lady took the time to explain what needed to be done and came back to explain another issue that they could fix for a small labor fee. I recently purchased a new mountain bike from Snohomish Bicycle center on June 2nd. It was a lower end mountain bike, but all said and done around 600$ out the door. Within two days the fork lockout on the bicycle had popped of while riding on the centennial trail. I called to ask them how to go about getting it repaired, they told me to bring it in so they could take pictures and get the part ordered from the manufacturer. I imagine some type of warranty. Fast forward a little over a month and I have heard nothing from the bike shop. I have called and gone into the shop a handful of times to get a status update on when to expect the repair to happen. Every time I talk with them, most of them have no idea what's going on and eventually figure out that they haven't heard back from the fork manufacturer. So my advice to anyone who is buying a bike, to not do it here as their customer service and follow up after the original purchase is lacking. While I do understand that this is most likely a warranty issue and they are waiting to hear back from the fork manufacturer, the follow up from the company has been not existent. I am a very company loyal customer when treated well, for anyone who is the same, I would not recommend this establishment. read more

The Bicycle Centres of Snohomish has a wide variety of really cool bikes ranging in price. I found a bike just perfect for me on sale. You can stop in anytime and they will fix minor problems such as a gear not switching etc. No problem! They fix it and stand behind their bikes. I was researching possible options for an E-bike and needed to test ride them. I'm 4'-10 and was not sure if any e-bike would work for me. Fortunately the salesperson Riker was able to have several different e-bikes in a small frame sent over to their Snohomish location for me to test ride. The advantage of this store is that it is literally located right on the Centennial Trail and is also just a block away from some very steep hills. This made it the perfect situation for me to test how different motor/battery sizes could get me up the steep hills. I also needed to see how the bike would ride on dirt/gravel and it was a short ride on the paved Centennial Trail to the gravel parking lot of the Pilchuk Trail Head where there is a gravel parking lot to test tire traction. Since I was looking for a bike that I could ride on both pavement and gravel and was light enough to lift onto a bike rack I ended up buying the Trek Dual Sport + E-bike with a Stagger Frame (step through). The salespeople at the store were all very helpful and also assembled and installed a new Kuat Sherpa bike rack that I needed to support the heavier weight of the e-bike. It was a very pleasant experience and now I'm greatly enjoying my new e-bike. read more

Have been here three times now. Customer service is always friendly. Plan ahead for a bike tune up. I didn't know that before a two day ride so I wasn't able to get a full tune up but they squeezed me in for a quick detailer adjustment. Got the bike back a couple of weeks ago after taking it in for a full tune up. They did a great job with it. It needed a lot too...had been a few years. New chain, wheels, cables, brake pads, handle bar tape. Was a smooth ride when I took it out. The only thing was I had to take my front wheel off and put it on the other way so my trip computer would register. No biggie. I'll go back here again for bike needs for sure. read more

Made an appointment for Tuesday for pickup on Wednesday for a tune up, when I came to drop my bike off they said "we'll see if we have time." I repeated what was told to me over the phone and said I would be okay with receiving it by Thursday. Never received a phone call. When I called on Friday they said it was ready. I said I never received a phone call. They said someone must have called and left a message. I reassured them that no one did. Overpriced, non-communicative, terrible customer service skills. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Bicycle Centers has worked on bike for years. My bike is practically vintage to me, probably just an old bile to some, a beautiful yellow 1985 Centurion. Recently they pretty much overhauled the whole bike. It rides nicely and looks great! Thank you to those who worked on it! read more

I found this shop several months ago in my travels to Snohomish County. I am an avid cyclists who travels for work for a living to a different state weekly. I always find bike shops when I go somewhere to get local riding advice and sometimes rent a bike. These guys are great and amongst the best of bike shops anywhere in the country with these needs. They always provide me a great bike to ride and take the time to point me in the right direction. They are social and straight up good people. First they sold me the wrong bike and refused to replace it with the right one. A specialized bike. so after a full year I decided to try again to see if they even had the part. Yes they did cool. Boy was I stupid for going back. I needed a seven gear shifter I get home install it the cable was way to short. It looks like the one for the 3 gear or the front One. First time shame on them second time shame on me I will never go back to that place again. read more

These guys rock. After riding out of Seattle, I broke a spoke a mile or two outside of town and was stranded. The guys at Snohomish didn't have the spoke. So they lent me a backup wheel to ride home. They swapped the rear cassette to the loaner wheel, looked after my wheel, and gave me directions on the easiest route back to Seattle (long story: I was with a group and didn't know the local roads very well.) After all of that, they refused to take charge me a dollar for the service or loaner wheel. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I will always stop at Snohomish Bicycles for snacks, supplies or other things when I am riding through town. read more

This review is from a visit in August. I saw a water bottle today I bought there there which reminded me to write this review... The day before the Lake Stevens 70.3 these fine people set me up with new brake pads & bento box. My girlfriend also bought a coat at a nice clearance price. My Denver, CO LBS informed my bike bike could not fit shimano pads but Snomish guys installed the Shimano pads I wanted without any issues. A great store. Next time im in town for the 70.3 ill be making a visit! read more

This is not your average bike shop. They only sell what they would personally use and they breath the very air they speak. I've purchased all the small stuff, from tubes, tires, grips, handlebars, etc. from this shop. When I go in saying I need something, sometimes they agree and tell me to buy 'this' or 'that', while other times they explain that I do not need to buy anything and I can use this DYI or try something out they don't carry, and recommend where to buy it. When I need a repair, they will either tell me how to do it myself, or get it done in a timely manner. The best businesses have the customer's interests in mind, and this is what makes Snohomish Bicycle different. Being from Seattle, I do make the drive because I know what I'm going to get, and it's hard to find what they can provide elsewhere. read more

This place is a stain of what it used to be. i went to have my rear brakes replaced after a hydraulic line failure. i picked up my bike a few days later. brakes were just fine. my issue is with the state they left everything else.. my bicycle computer mount was broken. the nut sideways on the mounting bolt wouldn't come off, its housing was stripped out. i had to cut it off.. When i picked the bike up after the brake repair. he failed to mention the computer mount at all!.. however he was quick to point out how "loose" my right side handle grip was. and proceeded to display an ergonomic set in an attempt to sell them.. after examining my grip at home it had a lot of grease on the metal bar where the grip sits. of course it was loose, it was covered in grease! what a scam he failed to pull. i am attempting to recover the $40 " service charge " to cover my loss of the computer mount. i am not suing for creating a dangerous situation though i probably should have collected evidence and done so.. read more

I stopped into Snohomish Bicycles on 4/18/2015 for an emergency repair. The night before I had replaced my rear cassette but I didn't tighten the outer nut enough and the cassette started coming apart near downtown Snohomish. Luckily Snohomish Bicycles was open early (it was just before 10am) and Martin disassembled and reassembled the rear cassette in less 10 minutes. He also found that the old cassette's inner spacer had gotten stuck to the hub and was still in place. Martin immediately knew what kind of fenders I used just from looking at the brackets and offered me tips on how to make them easier to use. Those are the kind of details that only a seasoned professional would know to look for. I rolled out a minutes later after paying a very reasonable price and I couldn't have been happier. I went on to complete a 106 mile ride on those repairs! I definitely plan on shopping here again when I need new gear. Above all else Martin's stellar attitude and the open shop counter (many shops drag your bike to some unseen back room instead of letting you watch the repairs) really made the difference. Martin made me feel as though this was an honest mistake in my maintenance (which it was!) that was fixable and not that big of a deal. Many shops treat the smallest problems like earth shattering issues and jack up the price. But this was definitely not the case at Snohomish Bicycles. And I will DEFINITELY be bringing them my business in the future. read more
