I had been doing a lot of research on what kind of e-bike I wanted to get for myself. I was torn between rad power bikes and Aventon, and decided to go Aventon because of higher customer satisfaction rating , and felt like it was the right brand for me. I really didn't know what to expect walking up to the storefront, and was a little nervous since I had so many questions. I was greeted by Chris, who answered all of my questions effortlessly and didn't make me feel like a bother for having so many. I test rode a few bikes and asked for specs/differences between each bike and settled on the one I anticipated to buy from my own research. I rode 4 different bikes, and narrowed it down to the Aventure 2, and Level 2. I was able to ride each bike multiple times to get a feel for what I was looking for. They had the Aventure in stock in the color I wanted and modified the bike with a front rack, a back seat with pegs for another rider if I wanted, and a phone mount. They had my bike ready quickly and both people I interacted with were very nice and I am beyond happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this shop for anyone looking for an e-bike- they had other brands other than Aventon too.

    These guys rock!

Gordon was amazing. I had a brake adjustment issue with my new RadRover 6 Plus (Hydraulic Brakes). I called Rad Bikes and they told me it was going to be 6 weeks before they could look at my bike! Rad Bikes listed Amped Adventure out of Lake Forest Park on their website as an authorized repair business. The brake handle had to be pulled in too far for my liking. I called to schedule a service appointment today, Gordon answered the phone and talked me through it on the phone! What incredible service. He took the time to listen to my problem and walked me through the fix, on the phone at no cost! I can definitely recommend these guys to get any bike fixed, tuned up, repaired, etc. These guys know what they are doing!! Give them a call, they will take care of you! I trust them. https://www.amped-adventure.com/

This is a small producer of high quality bicycles. They have…read morebuilt quality bikes for a number of years, both in a classic style, and also in modern materials and designs. They are relatively low-profile in the world of bicycle constructors, but they have considerable national credibility. This credibility stems from their reputation for quality, and the fact that a co-founder of the shop, Andy Hampsten, was a great pro bike racer, who among other things won the 1988 Giro d"Italia (Tour of Italy) .

Andy and (mostly) Steve Hampsten own and operate this small shop that makes world class bikes that…read moreride great and have a classic elegant style. Steve is a great personality who obviously LOVES everything cycling (including talking about it!), and who is very dedicated to providing you with the Hampsten bike that is perfect for you. I am lucky to live near Steve, so I could ride my bike to his place, take a short ride with Steve, and have him size me up for the bike his team would build. And he nailed it: Steve and master frame-builder Martin Tweedy built me a one-of-a-kind gorgeous road bike that looks beautiful and rides even better. I chose the Team UOS, which is Hampsten's lugged-steel frame for bigger riders like me. When I picked up the bike 10 weeks after my fitting, I was nervous about how it would turn out (I spent the money before riding the bike . . . yikes!), but I knew I had made the right decision by the time I had rolled down his driveway for my test ride. The thing is just perfect. To be fair, the bike is not hyperlight: my 58 cm frame with Campy Athena weighs about 19.5 lbs, but a smaller frame, or a frame without lugs would be a bit less. Plus, the bike could shed weight with a slightly different fork (which Steve offers for the same price) and I could drop another pound with a carbon bar; and I could have dropped .75 pounds simply by choosing Campy Chorus or a similar-weight gruppo). So it would be a simple matter to get this particular bike down to 18 pounds or maybe less. But my bike FEELS way less than the actual weight and has the classic feel and beauty of a high-end lugged steel frame. My one nit is that the paint is fragile, but that's a small price to pay for what is otherwise a perfect ride.

Full disclaimer - we did not purchase a bike from this store. But we had a wonderful experience and…read morethey were high on our list. Looking for a electric bike for my son while he attends UW. He wanted something he could use to commute for school, groceries and visiting his girlfriend at Seattle U. We initially went to the Seattle location but they didn't have anything for us to try out. Very small shop. They said to go to the Bothell store and they would let them know we were coming. So we arrived at the Bothell store and they did not have any messages from the Seattle store but Kyle asked us what we were looking for and set us up for a test ride. Not being from Seattle we were a bit nervous on where to go but Kyle said no worries he would go along with us. So we got to try out three e bikes switching off as we rode. He took as to a park for what seemed like a 20-30 minute ride. It was awesome. The bikes are so much fun and the trail was like we were on vacation. Guess there is a high demand for these bikes so we weren't able to ride the bike we wanted as it was not assembled yet. But I will say that if you are looking for a quality bike this place has them and at reasonable prices and appears to have good service. They had several bikes that were last year's models on sale. Bosh mid drive motors with lots of power, hydraulic disk brakes and brake lights that actuated with the brake handle. The only reason we didn't purchase here was we decided to try and find a cheaper bike since we don't know where he would be parking the bike. An expensive bike might not be as convenient for a campus setting in downtown Seattle. We found a used bike on Craigslist and was able to get insurance on the bike from State Farm. $9/month for $1800 coverage zero deductible. FYI, learned that for insurance it needs to be no more than 20 miles per hour assist. We were looking at bikes that did either 20 or 28 max speed assist. Did not check other insurance companies. So Kyle followed up with us on the Yamaha we wanted to try. Turned out it got sold before we could try it. I explained that we changed our mind and was looking for a cheaper bike and he was totally cool about it. Low pressure great sales service. If our bike gets stolen there's a good chance we will be back to at Seattle electric bike Bothell.
