While I was shopping I overheard store staff tell other shoppers that they could not use illuminated scopes while hunting in Washington. That's just not correct. Then they were telling people trying to do a lawful transfer that they couldn't communicate during paperwork because of straw purchase concerns. Straw purchasesers typically don't come in for background checks. Then while trying to purchase a gun the staff because extremely rude after I followed instructions exactly as asked. The experience was surreal. Precise shooter has a long reputation for having "particular" sales staff and being hard to deal with and I knew this when I went in but I tried to overlook it. This industry is too challenging to accept stores that enjoy bullying their customers instead of providing great service. read more

Your experience will entirely depend on who is helping you. After picking up my firearm, I had some some questions; the employee was friendly, warm, and explained every little detail with excellent information. But mid conversation they had to take care of something, so another employee tagged in. This second person was rude, short, and had zero interest in explaining the firearm - even saying things that contradicted the first employee. I know it's nearly impossible to avoid "gun bros" at a firearm store. But buying weapons is important and serious; so having inconsistency with how employees handle customers shows a lack of respect for all parties. A previous time I was there, an employee had strict rules about handling and pointing the firearm. Explicitly holding onto the barrel while I held the grip, and aimed it AT THEMSELVES! I get it, we both verified the gun was safe and empty, but that broke like 3 of the firearm safety rules. I even asked if I could aim it somewhere else (some stores specifically have a wall target they know is safe). But nope, they wanted to hold onto the barrel and I could only hold it in front of them. Suffice to say, I did not hold onto the pistol for long and set it down. read more

I called and asked a question about buying a semi auto shotgun at 18 and them being my FFL and the manager said no they wont be able to do that when its actually legal to do so its just a gun shop somehow not knowing the laws which is super cool cause these people are supposed to specifically know gun laws espesially when it comes to selling guns to people and this was the manager that dint know the law which is even cooler its abosolutley insane a manager doesnt know the law RCW 9.41.010(38) its litterally insane like they do this FOR A LIVING and cant help themselfs to the most basic stuff ever read more

I've had a number of issues with this store, and the owner's attitude made the experience even worse. He was incredibly standoffish, only giving one-word answers and never offering any clarifications when needed. It started when I came in to check out a range of pistols. After the counterperson cleared the pistol, I double-checked it myself and dry-fired it several times, making sure to point it at the ground. At this point, it's safe to assume the pistol was clear. I kept the pistol pointed at the ground, away from myself and anyone else, to ensure no one was in danger. The person helping me was the owner, and he told me not to point it at the floor because I might accidentally shoot myself. I asked him where I could point it safely, and his response was, "Dry fire it at this wall." The wall he referred to was a thin drywall divider separating the counter from an area where customers were standing. I couldn't believe it--after confirming that the pistol was clear, the owner told me I could potentially shoot myself if I pointed it at the floor, but he suggested I point it at a wall with people on the other side of it. It became clear to me that the staff here, including the owner, don't seem to know basic gun safety principles, despite being in the business of selling firearms. The second issue was even worse. They didn't seem to understand the gun laws in Washington state or federally. As a former deputy, a military veteran, and someone who lives between Washington and Ohio, I showed them my military discharge papers because my ID is out of state. The moment they saw these papers, the tone changed drastically. The owner started glaring at me, sizing me up like he thought I was lying. Even though I provided proper documentation, he treated me like a threat rather than a customer. He told me that I needed a Washington state ID to purchase a firearm, despite the fact that I had bought a gun in Washington just a year ago without an issue. When I asked him if this was a new law, he insisted it had always been that way, even though I knew that wasn't true. I kindly tried to explain that other states allow out-of-state residents to purchase firearms. To demonstrate, I showed him the laws of Arizona, Utah, and Texas on their state website. I also called another shop to ask if it was a new law that Washington will no longer accept military discharge papers and only accept a Washington ID. The other shop confirmed that this was a new law. Despite this, the owner stubbornly refused to acknowledge the facts. He kept insisting that the law had always been the same, even though it wasn't. At that point, he completely shut down and refused to answer any more of my questions. It was clear that he wasn't just misinformed--he was uninterested in learning the correct information. He no longer cared to help or provide any service, treating me like I was the problem. This place is not only unprofessional but discriminatory. They don't understand basic gun safety or the laws they're supposed to follow. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone, whether you're a beginner or an experienced gun owner. You're better off going somewhere where you'll be treated with respect and given accurate information. read more

When this place is was Lynnwood it had a good customer service even through tough times with Floyd riots etc.. They moved to Woodinville.... The good: FFL transfer Manager Justin is pretty awesome. He is just good people and a pleasure to work with. Ugly: Now people that work at this place specifically Caleb and some short guy with mustache is a complete joke. Stopped by there today to do paperwork and it went downhill with Caleb: Caleb asks me a question about DL and address, I reply and add more info that his highness cared to hear, he responds: "That not what I am asking" Ok....moving on, did the pipework but now I have questions about info stated on their website: short guy with mustache - that a no. hard no, and use your common sense when I tell him about their own website info. I have to remind his that this is a place of business. Then Caleb goes to tell me that I misspelled something while I am checking important info on the phone that he told to check. Caleb: "you need to pay attention when I am talking".....really? At this point I pretty much tell him that I refuse their transfer and will take my business elsewhere. This place is my first goto for anything I'm looking for(or not looking for until I get there). Bought my first gun here a year ago, very helpful in selecting the right one. Customer service is always great most times, with the current climate I understand they can't be 100% with every customer during busy times. I've only ever had one hiccup and that was with my wife's purchase(her first firearm purchase). I'll continue to shop and have guns transfer here in the future. For those bad reviews, y'all just impatience and believe you're above others. Have some patience and be kind, it'll take you so much further. I should have known when I got the answering machine telling me that "we do not answer questions about the inventory over the phone go to our website instead" followed by "press two for inventory" that these people are clueless. To confuse things further, the sales guy told me that the inventory on the website was not accurate. I placed an order at the store for a fairly expensive hammer-fired pistol, only because nobody else had the gun in stock at the time, and paid a non-refundable 20% deposit. I was informed by the sales guy that I would be notified through email upon arrival of the order and if I would try to inquire about the order over the phone he would just hang up on me. He didn't bother to thank me nor say goodbye when I left the store. When I came back to pick up my order another guy dry fired the hammer-fired competition gun I just purchased, although everybody knowledgeable about guns knows you shouldn't be doing this. He then overcharged me claiming that the receipt I showed to him did not include taxes which was not true. Stay away from these guys, rude, incompetent crooks. read more

I've done a fair number of FFL transfers as well as "in store" purchases and these folks are legit in terms of service, prices, and dealing with the WA state gun ownership overhead. Not sure how they'd be for a beginner or newbie that just wants to browse - perhaps during less busy times, it would be fine. Due to COVID there are often lines and unless you grab the opening time reservation slot, things can get a bit backed up, even with a reservation (or "appointment" to use their nomenclature). read more

I've been to the Marksman, Westcoast Armory, Bud's, two Discount Guns, Champion Arms, Bear Arms, Armageddon Arms, Outdoor Emporium, Wade's, Sportsman's Warehouse, and Cabela's for my firearm needs...and this is without a doubt the best of them all to me (harder to compare to those with indoor ranges included for that purpose, but as far as just a storefront goes). While all of them are just fine, this place has the lowest transfer fee around, and their process is amazingly smooth. They're very responsive via email, and very professional (not stiffly so) in person. They were very patient with my dumbass on my second transfer through them due to me forgetting to bring a copy of my updated license with new address, while I tried to get my crap together on my phone. Maybe one of the most underrated things I can speak to, is they have an amazing website. There's nothing flashy, it's just a straight forward, crystal clear site that has all the information you could want or need. You wouldn't think it'd be asking so much for an accurate and LIVE inventory listing from gun stores...but they're the only ones (after Sportco revamped Outdoor Emporium's website, and Armageddon's is kinda spotty) who do it well that I've personally been to. They even have a library of info to help people expand or brush up on their general firearm knowledge on there. They are a somewhat smaller shop I'd say, which may be the only sort of downside I can think of, but hopefully when they move it'll be to a slightly larger facility that allows them to expand a little bit of their offerings, but even if not, they have a good selection as is. These guys have a huge selection of hand guns conveniently located in Lynnwood. They have the least expensive FFL fee in town. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They were able to order the 1911 I wanted. My CCL has expired by a week (whoops), so had to wait a couple weeks for background check. Nothing they did. Just the way she goes. If you're up north I'd recommend them since they are right off the freeway. Easy access. If you are a bit further east, I'd recommend Bona Nox in Bothell. 5 dollar difference in FFL cost, but you'd spend that in gas. Overall very impressed. Another thing to note: You type up your paperwork instead of hand write. You decide if that's a positive of negative. read more

Always knowledgeable, no pressure sale staff, and just awesome guys who love firearms. My only complaint is that they're no longer in Seattle but who can blame them with Seattle's political climate. Went in this evening 5/4/21 looking for 9mm ammo. I told the employee I was looking for 9mm ammunition and he replied they had PMC brand. I am not familiar with that brand so I asked if it was a clean round. Instead of a simple yes or no answer he said it's all we have. A nice customer who was there told me of his experience with this brand. Good customer service should be answering questions in a non irritated way as if my questions are a nuisance. One of the best gun stores in the Seattle area. Lowest priced, least-hassle transfers from Internet sales ($25 if you schedule/have a CPL). Great selection of firearms -- both the "normal" things everyone wants, and an interesting mix of target and "oddities" which are really interesting. Uniformly competent, professional, and friendly staff. (try doing the online quiz for their new hires...it's pretty hard!) By far the best online ordering and inventory system of any gun store in the area. Obviously a store built by engineers, although not just for engineers. They don't do SOT/NFA items, and aren't open on Sundays, so I'll still shop elsewhere sometimes and for some items, but otherwise they are perfect. read more

With my not having purchased a pistol in a loooong time, I couldn't help but wonder what kind of "stuff" I might encounter with being required to use an FFL dealer for a private-party sale. The Seller had arranged an appointment at Precise Shooter in Lynnwood (which is apparently only ONE of the reputable successful gun stores driven out of Seattle thanks to Councilman Burgess and his "do-gooders") ... But I digress ;) I've been seeing FFL dealers wanting as much as $40-$50 for a private-party transfer. No gouging there huh? Precise Shooter charges $25 cash (or check unless I'm mistaken, but no plastic). Of course, while waiting for the brief background check with the Federalies, I took a look around the store. Nice! Very nice indeed! Lots of inventory with a lot of diversity ... and for the most part, the prices looked to be VERY competitive! All in all - damn good store with some damn friendly, helpful staff members. I seriously doubt that today was my last visit. Thumbs up to 'em! read more

My experience with Precise Shooter has been good. They have been helpful and professional in my experiences with them, they keep to facts and not their day's as a Space Shuttle Door Gunner for example, what I mean by that is there are no "gun store commandos" I have run into. Wether your just getting started or are looking for reloading components this is a great shop. in short F*ck this place. Had a gun transferred in, tracking said it was here. Person working there said it wasn't. Finally convinced him to go check, and guess what it was there. I go in to pay for the transfer and the tax. they take card on the 25.00 transfer fee, but tell me they only take cash or check for the gun tax. STORES do that SH*t so they can POCKET the money and not actually pay the tax!!! Also there prices on guns in general are stupid high. Low price guns have theirs almost 30.00 - 40.00 cheaper for the same F*ck'n glock. Waste of time. Cheaper to check local gun forums, its also crazy that shops in bellevue prices there guns marginally cheaper than this place. I'm in the process of reporting there actions to BBB and seattle city council, about not paying the gun tax. read more

My order had arrived and I went to pick the firearm up or do the paperwork. They said they had to contact me as they were behind and had 40 or more orders to process. There was no messages after more than 8 weeks. Nothing from them. I returned and they took no responsibility and put it right on the customer. This isn't the type of customer service I am used to. I live in Bellevue and usually go to LowPriceGuns, but after seeing how great their website was, I decided to pay Precision Shooter a visit at their new Woodinville location. Their selection is wide and their prices are low, however their customer service was awful. I understand that retail stores get busy, but that is never an excuse for bad service. I went in knowing what I wanted and it did not take me long to find it, but out of the three employees I interacted with, only one of them treated me with respect. I am 21 and probably look young to these guys but I was buying my third handgun and I knew what I was doing. Still, the guys seemed like they did not really care about the customer and they wanted to rush the sale while I was taking a look at the firearm. I am betting that the staff behave quite different when the shop is not busy, but the reviews for this place are mixed for a reason. Being treated like that makes me not want to return for business, especially considering the half-hour drive compared to the 10 minute drive to Wades or LowPrice. read more

The place is a bit hard to find with there being no obvious sign out front. For those wondering it's under the awning near the entrance of a couple of other businesses. My experience with them was buying my first rifle. I apologize for not asking his name but the Asian man working the counter helped me out tremendously with everything from the paperwork to understanding what to look for when mounting a scope and buying a rifle case. I chose this shop because the prices from their website seemed reasonable and they aren't too far from where I live. I went into the shop knowing exactly what firearm I was going to buy. When I told the salesperson which gun I wanted, he questioned me like I was buying the wrong handgun for myself. He kinda went "huh, ok", when I told him why this particular pistol. Because I knew this was the gun I wanted, I did not need to look at it for long and told him I would buy it. He looked at me and said "you know you can't take this with you today even if you pay for it." Again, treating me like I don't know anything about purchasing a handgun while not knowing a thing about me. Ok, whatever, he was "checking the boxes" so-to-speak. I completed the paperwork, paid and left. Five days later I got the notice I was clear to pick up the gun. Went in and was kind of greeted by the employee at the counter. I told him I wanted to pick up a gun that I had purchased and proceeded to take out my CPL and driver's license. He acted a little miffed that I took out my CPL and said "I don't need this". I told him that because my address was not current on my DL I though he might need to see the current one on my CPL. He said smugly "I just need to know who you are". That was it. At that point I had decided that I would just stay quiet, sign the form, take my firearm and be gone. They have a nice clean shop with a good selection but that is not enough to make me want to go back. Service is a big part of retail no matter what the merchandise. I will look elsewhere for my next gun purchase. read more

This is a great gun store with helpful staff. The first time I walked into this shop in December 2016, I was a first-time gun buyer. Ryan helped walk me through the entire process, telling me the documents needed, and answered all my questions. Since then, I have made two more gun purchases with the assistance of Ryan again and also Blake, another helpful and knowledgeable employee. During one my visits here, Vincent, one of the staff, was about to step out for lunch. Just as Vincent puts on his coat and was about to leave, four customers walk in the door so Vincent stays back in order to help. None of that hot-shot, know-it-all attitude that is all too common in the gun world, and no pressure to "buy or get out" etc. etc... Selection was a decent size for a new store, and incredibly diverse. Some great finds in there for remarkable in-store prices. Plus, $25 for an FFL transfer? Love it.
