They were very knowledgeable and their service was very professional and the work they do is extremely impressive. The work they had done for me was very good value, I do wish they had the parts on hand...and finding the entrance was not the easiest, and getting to the front door also wasn't the easiest, that being said the shop and their work is worth the effort! Definitely recommend

I dropped the guns off completely disassembled and ready for media blasting. I want to be completely transparent and mention the good things as part of this review too. The employees were very friendly and easy to work with. They explained their capabilities and weighed in on what they thought they were capable of. They also gave me a $100 discount for things taking so long. They had some difficulties with the nickel plating and tried to redo it more than once, which I appreciate. They also got creative when running into problems and "brushed" the nickel plating to hide defects. On the flip side, communication was less than desirable and I had to call the shop back on 4-5 occasions because they never returned phone calls they promised. I was also a bit disappointed to see that they left one sharp defect in the trigger guard of one gun and didn't bother to file it down during surface prep. I expected more prep work for a $2k price tag. So they did minimal surface prep work overall which I find disappointing. There were also 2 chips in the new cerakote, 1 of which they said they'd touch up for me with blue. I didn't find the 2nd one until later during reassembly. While I appreciate the creativity, they never called to ask if it was okay to brush the nickel finish. They just did it. I would expect a call asking for permission to deviate from the plan we agreed upon. Even with the brushed finish you can see micro pits in the nickel plain as day. Additionally, they missed a spot completely on the trigger guard and you can see bare copper. These complaints I have are relatively minor by themselves in the grand scheme of things. What makes things completely unacceptable is the touch up job on the cerakote. Aside from the fact that this touch up took 2 days longer than they said it would, they used a sharpie marker to do the touch up instead of blue. I found out about this because the touch up spot looked very purple-colored and the employee told me not to contact the touch up with my finger. When I got home I took a q-tip with alcohol over the spot and it came right off with 1 swipe down to bare metal. I thought to do this because I read another review for Iron Monkey from another customer accusing them of doing the same thing. Bluing is a passivation process that converts the surface metal to an oxide. It does NOT wipe off under any normal conditions, including with solvents. Even if it was old chemical, it will simply not turn the metal black and would fail to work at all. I even have a bottle of Oxpho Cold Blue that is 4 years expired. I hit the bare metal spot with it and it blackened instantly and would not rub off even with acetone. I called the owner to confront them about this and was told that it couldn't be sharpie and that maybe their bluing compound had gone bad. This was a bold faced lie, or the owner doesn't know what his employees are doing. Either way is unacceptable. Given the touch up situation and fact that I paid over $2k for this work and ended up with pitted nickel and chipped cerakote I can't say I'm a very happy customer. I might have lived with the other complaints given the things that did go well, but the bluing situation tips the scale for me. Overall I rate the work as a C- at best, hence my 2 stars. See the pictures I included to show you what I mean.

Which they ( Tammy ) were very helpful in explaining the process on the phone. I came in to do my state mandated paperwork once the firearm arrived, had a great conversation again with Tammy, a couple of friendly customers and even got to pet the shop cat as well. He's cool. Anyways 9 days pass and I get a call, back ground is clear so I go in to receive my purchase. Got to talking with both Tammy & Jason were both clearly quite knowledgeable and eager to resolve some questions and bounce some ideas off of for the next 30-40 minutes. To this point every interaction has been pleasant and boils down to this... Personalized attention from people who are vested in helping you on your journey is rare. Sure You could go talk to some folks at (insert large box store here) or a place that sells guns in addition to range time with over priced ammo but this little Ma' & Pa' joint has character and soul. They genuinely seem to give more damns here than just about making a buck or if it is time to clock out. Because of that I know it makes it worth a drive to Bothell to check them out!

I brought the gold membership. It is a bit costly but I would say it worth the price if you come regularly. It's also a great option for me as it includes the rental fees and I'd like to try different guns each time. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. One small thing to mention: They do provide shotguns for rental but the only standard option is KS7, which is cool if it's not jamming. I went to rent it twice and it both jammed. Staffs are nice as they switched Benelli M4 to me which was intended to be a "premium" rental. Would be nicer if they also provide 590/870/any other pump-action shotguns as standard options in the future. Apart from that, there's nothing I can complain. There was a time I went to the range with a friend who's shooting for the first time. Chris was very helpful and provides my friend with a quick but through intro and some other helps. For the shop: Great service. There's a young staff who is really friendly and helpful. No one would push you to make decisions here (which I like it) but you can always find helps if needed.
