We recently won a small TV and weren't sure what to do with it. Our back deck is fully covered, and we've often talked about how fun it might be to have a boob tube out there...so we started looking around for a good tech to come help us with the install. Steve answered emails promptly and was able to ballpark-bid the job from photos I sent him. He was able to get us on the schedule quickly and showed up just about on time. It was the last job of the day on a Friday, so being nearly on time was pretty impressive. He pulled up in a well-marked sprinter type van, ya can't mistake who he is. The name of the business is HUGE on the side of his rig. He acclimated himself very quickly to the job site, and went back out to grab the mounting bracket. One super cool thing about Steve--he took out a hacksaw and trimmed the metal bracket by about 1/2", just so it'd look more flush and nicer on the wall. A seemingly-small improvement that we told him wasn't required. He did it anyway, though, and it took him 15 minutes of hand-sawing. It really does make the finished product look nicer. I love the extra effort for better fit and finish in the details. He worked steadily and he was done quickly, checking power, connection, signal, all that. He billed us from his tablet and accepts credit cards, which is a necessary convenience for customers these days IMO but still appreciated. This was a somewhat-easy job, since the HDMI cable and the outlet were already in place for him to do his thing. He re-routed the cable for us so it's more hidden, and the whole thing looks super tidy and professional. We have used another TV installer in the past and loved them, but they were unavailable this time. They did get us a last-minute bid, though, and Steve had already beaten their price by 65%. I don't know if he's always that affordable by comparison, but it made this project feel like a complete success, that's for sure. read more

We needed a 65'' TV mounted on a tile wall. We called around to a few different places (even some big box installers) - and none of them were able to confidently say they could work on tile. A few even said they would only take on the job if I removed them from all liability! What's the point of paying someone to do it then? If they're not sure they'll crack the tile and I'm not sure I'll crack the tile, then what's the point?! Enter Steve from TV Tech. Now some of you may be thinking I'm overthinking this TV install, but with all the material shortages, we didn't have any extra tile if one was to accidentally get cracked - hence needing to find the right installer.
