I can't say enough good things about Big Al! When my Whirlpool dryer suddenly stopped working, I was dreading the thought of being without it for weeks. I thought I'd have to go through the long queue of waiting for Whirlpool to send someone out. I called in the morning after it broker, and to my AMAZEMENT, Big Al was able to schedule me the very same day. He arrived right on time and was incredibly professional and thoughtful about taking off his shoes. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done and got to work. What I thought might take hours, days was completed in no time at all. My dryer is running perfectly now, like the problem never happened. Don't second guess it, just call Big Al and he'll get it done. Also, he didn't over-charge me and just got it done for a reasonable rate. Super helpful! Thanks again! read more

OK Big Al, other repair companies have very big shoes to fill. From the service call to the completion of the repair, the experience was phenomenal. It was a great value (definitely when compared to buying a new dryer) and quick, efficient service. Big Al was fast, neat, and super chill, coupled with his expertise, we're hooked. read more

Great service! Arrived as scheduled. Did prompt and good work and clean up. I would recommend their service. read more

It's great working with them. There's no waiting weeks to come, so far the times we needed them they came the same day or the day after I called. They are fast and clean. read more

ASKO brand owners go somewhere else. Service requested for Asko washer displaying wash motor fault error. Possible reasons for this fault are known yet no components were tested or diagnosed. Testing was limited to running a dry drum spin cycle and then a second spin cycle with little water in drum. Technician Dmitry was friendly but it was clear this company is not experienced with Asko. Was told it could only handle 3 items at a time and issue is likely too much weight causing imbalance. Machine specs state dry clothing limit of 24lbs. It has flawlessly washed full loads for 12 years. 'Diagnosis' charge was $100 for zero outcome. Called with additional information the next day and was told to dump it. read more

Big Al fixed my complicated Liebherr refrigerator and freezer and the company repair guy didn't. He was also very easy to work with and cared about giving me a low repair price. Says it all. read more

Shoutout to Big Al for getting my LG washer back up and running! I was worried when he had to order a part, but he still managed to get it done early the next day. Super communicative guy who really knows his stuff. Plus, I saved a ton of money compared to what the manufacturer quoted me for the repair read more

A little pricey but worth it. There's a lot to be said for fixing things right the first time.

Very responsive and good workmanship. My oven stopped working due to a malfunctioning pilot. Al sent one of his repairmen the next workday to fix it. Rashid was prompt and polite and fixed my oven in no time. Definitely would recommend. read more

Too expensive. A simple turn switch replacement in dryer cost me $500. This is almost scamp level charged. I can buy a new dryer! My wife ordered it, I regretted :-( read more

My dishwasher just stopped working - so frustrating! I called and left a message for a repair and "Big Al" called back quickly (within an hour) to verify whether it was an emergency and to schedule an appointment. He arrived within the appointment window, and was respectful and professional the entire appointment - it was an electrical issue so he tried some preliminary solutions that unfortunately didn't work. He ordered a replacement part and came back to install 2 days later. Sadly that wasn't the solution, so he ordered a different part and set an appointment to come back - he charged me only for the part used!! NOT for another appointment!! The second part did need to be replaced- but there was some other problem too. I'm frankly not sure which of us was more frustrated- Al really wanted the repair to be effective so he went through his inspection checklist from the beginning AGAIN! This time he found the little wire that had loosened and he fixed it too! TA-DA!!! Working dishwasher!! Al was polite, professional, and efficient with his time. I appreciated his willingness to explain everything he was doing, and the mechanical processes that were being interfered with (I know - never end a sentence with a preposition) I was treated more than fairly and would 100% return as needed and recommend this service. read more

Much like the other reviews - I called in the morning, Al came by in the afternoon. He deftly diagnosed a defrosting problem with my refrigerator and knew exactly how to fix it - even had the parts available so it could get done right away. 100% would call them again if I have appliance problems...which I hope I won't, but ah, the joys of home ownership. read more

Defrost cycle was not working. The ice maker could not make ice because the freezer was not cold enough. The back panel was caked with ice. They came in the afternoon and diagnosed the issue. The part was available the next day. Luckily I had a few cooler boxes to store everything in. read more

I called them at 11 and Al showed up at 2pm. He explained the 2 possibilities why the dishwasher clogged (with 2in of water, despite cleaning the filter). He took the pump out and the bottom parts of the dishwasher, explained to my bf what he was doing, then determined that the drain line that goes behind the wall is clogged. So I need a plumber. He explained it's best to re plumb the drain line into the garbage disposal. So that's what I'll do! It wasn't cheap for 30min of service but it was worth it! Will use them again for sure (and ask for Big Al! He's like 7 ft tall!) read more

I have a Bertazzoni oven that we were having trouble with (shattered front pane, faulty burner, trouble starting, bad gasket, etc.). Between us misordering parts and a staggered arrival time of different pieces, Big Al had to come out to the house three different times. That willingness to make the trip multiple times (at no incremental cost) such that we could have the oven back up and running sooner than later demonstrates Al's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Also, great and rapid communication was a big plus. Would highly recommend. read more

I called right as they were closing and we got an appointment for the next day which shocked me. Most places make you wait at least a week so that was awesome! Next, Dimitri resolved our issue quickly and without any delay. Friendly and very knowledgeable were my husband's words. We are very happy and unfortunately need him back again for our brand new LG Washer which stopped because of a PE Code ‍ We are confident that Dimitri will have it working in no time at all read more

Our hood vent was slowly dying and we needed someone to fix it. I contacted 3 separate handy people, none of whom got back to me and then I called Al at Super Appliance Repair. It says they're not open on weekends, but he picked up anyway and was there on Monday. Gave us a quick evaluation and estimate (the evaluation fee is worked into the estimate if he can fix it). Within a week (after obscure parts we're ordered) we had our hood vent back. A week later, a light in the hood went out. He came back and evaluated for free because the work is guaranteed. Turned out I had gotten a bulb with too much wattage and it was shorting the circuit. He didn't charge for my inability to pick a bulb. Highly recommend. He's friendly and a good person to have in your contacts should you ever need appliance repair. read more

My oven was limping along, occasionally over-firing or undercooking, when it failed somewhat spectacularly mid-pizza bake. I dreaded having to call someone to look at it, but happened to hear great things about Al and Super Appliance. Turns out what I heard was true! I especially appreciated that Al showed what the problem was--I'm curious about how things work, and I very much value good communication. Parts were ordered and in less than two days I had a working oven again. If anything else falls apart around my house, I know who to call! read more

Great service with Dimitri. They arrived within an hour of making the call and had the dryer's replacement part ready to go. Quick and easy!

Quick response, prompt for appointment, thoughtful advice that helped save money. High recommend

Very helpful and friendly. Helped us with our home warranty claim. Would use again. Wish we would've called sooner instead of living with a leaky fridge for months. Solved the problem and even fixed our broken ice maker read more

Incredible, skilled, fast, on-time service. Connor diagnosed the refrigerator leaking problem within 10 minutes of arriving and then gave me multiple repair options to choose from at a more-than-fair price. Big Al is just as amazing, answering the phone in person and on the weekend and scheduling service for the next day. This is a quality outfit and a class act, to boot. I'll definitely be calling them for all my appliance repairs from now on. Thank you! read more

We own a Samsung refrigerator the freezer drawer was not working, I call Samsung schedule a appointment and the next day they call me to let me know that they do not have a technician for Novato . Well, despite an irreparable problem with a seven-year-old GE washer, had a good talk with Big Al and got recommendations on what to look for in a new washer. Same day reply to my service request and next day service visit! 10/10 would call him again, but hope I don't have to. :-) read more

They were responsive (came same day within a few hours of my call!), kind, effective and affordable. I highly recommend!

Professional, friendly, quick, reasonable repair of broken ice maker on kitchen aid refrigerator.

I'm late with my review--- was for service a couple of months ago. The guy who came out was nice enough but my gut feeling was that he wasn't being honest. We had been without an oven or microwave for about 10 days and were eager to get this resolved. He had the replacement touch panel in his truck --- or we could have one shipped in maybe a week for less money. So get service today or wait. So we chose the same day option. My husband has very shaky hands and when signing to pay inadvertently gave the guy a $300 tip. I think he was too embarrassed to ask to have that removed. If the guy was honest he should have asked if he wanted to do that. I'm guessing NO ONE ever leaves a tip like that. So it cost us--- and we are renters ---- $2,295 to get our oven and microwave working. We didn't get permission from our landlord in advance and with the tip snafu felt we couldn't expect to be reimbursed. What an expensive lesson. Be wary of this business read more

Al should be teaching at MIT.. he has a seriously big brain.. He had our microwave fixed in minutes, then ran a diagnostic and gave us a quote for our fridge. Has speedy inquiry response time and showed up within the scheduled window we discussed. We will definitely use him in the future when we have appliance issues and recommend him to neighbors and friends in the area.. read more

Delighted! Had a list of little things that had piled up and didn't quite seem 'worth it' including the dishwasher, stove, and fridge.... now they're either fixed or we have a quote on parts/labor. And I have full confidence he'll get it all working if we choose to make the repair. Dishwasher repair in particular was a really simple drain thing that he fixed in literally 2 seconds (lol). He was on such a roll we had him look at our vitamix (which mysteriously started working as soon as he tried, so he really does have the magic touch!) read more

I did not end up using this vendor, though I recommended anyone who have needs contact them and try out. Respond is fast and informative, get to the point! I usually search Yelp and read reviews before I choose a business, but my neighbor referred me to them and I went with the recommendation. Once I reached out they were quick to respond, made scheduling a breeze, and gave me a great quote. My washing machine was quickly fixed by a lovely gentleman and I was so pleased that I promised I would spread the word. If the owner ever sees this, just wanted to say thank you and I will definitely refer you to my friends. read more
