Efficient booking of Green Machine (Mike) with receptionist, to address a water filter/ice making concern. Mike called tenants on the day of service, and reported back the suspected concern needed a new part. He promptly ordered the part and was able to return within a week to install. Additionally, Mike called for payment and I was in the middle of evacuating due to fires in CA..he was kind, caring and promised to call back. Finally, the service call to diagnose the problem and order parts was dedicated from the final bill. Now that is SERVICE. Thanks Mike. read more

Had an issue with our stovetop ignition and a stuck knob (at least it was in the "off" position). Mike was able to diagnose it, get a replacement part, and all fixed up at reasonable price. read more

The reason I am leaving this review is because the scheduler Kris is amazing! Attempted to start my dishwasher this morning. The lights came on to start the dishwasher but quickly went out and wouldn't start AT ALL. She suggested I check the circuit breaker!! I turned the circuit breaker on and off and it fixed it! So happy!! I had no idea!! Will definitely use Green Machine Appliance again in the future. Thanks!! read more

Top notch. Experienced knowledgeable capable interested. Quickly Diagnosed an internal washer leak, had the valve on the truck, done in about 40 minutes and reasonable rates. 10/10. read more

Mike was fantastic in helping me sort through an issue with my washing machine. Where others wanted a "consult fee" to look at the issue, Mike talked through my options over the phone, including options that didn't necessitate a repair. I had them order a part and then after our conversation decided to not replace the part and Mike offered to return the order free of charge. He could not have been more helpful - even though it didn't benefit him. Will be using them for any future repairs or appliance needs. read more

Was helped twice by Michael. First for our dish washer , for which he installed a new motor. Second time for our washer, where he honestly advised me that it would be better to buy a new one than having him fix it. Both repairs occurred during the pandemic. The first appointment was postponed because he had a cold, but wanted to get tested to be sure he was safe. We much appreciated this cautiousness, and were helped afterwards as quickly as possible. Every time, Michael gave us all the options available and what it would cost. He also advised us on new machines and the difference between brands, models, etc. All this was extremely helpful to us. We will definitely call him again if needed. read more

Michael S. came to diagnose our oven, and he was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave me details on the issue with my oven (old, parts no longer made) and my options. He also took the time to alert me to potential problems that might be ahead with my LG refrigerator. I would definitely call this my new appliance repair service for the future. No one likes to hear they need a new appliance, but Michael managed to make it a positive encounter. read more

Can't say enough about how glad I am to have found them. Michael came out to fix our fridge and was very professional, thorough in his assessment, honest and transparent in pricing, and excellent in communicating the troubleshooting thought process involved. Usually will schedule a week or two out because they are very much in demand and i know a lot of neighbors in the area rely on them as well. There was confirmation/reminder text message couple of days before the appointment and Michael also called on the day of to let me know how far out he is. They also have a warranty on the work they do. That's great service and great communication which I appreciate so much. read more

If zero were an option, this would be zero. Looks like I'm not the only one to complain about the receptionist who clearly hates her job and her life. She asked me what brand our oven is , I said "Spectra" (that's what it says on the oven)... She rudely quipped that she'd never even heard of that and they do not work on that, whatever it might be. Well it's a General Electric and the brand/model name is "Spectra". Have you heard of General Electric??? Before I had a chance to explain that to her she was very busy ushering me off of the call. Hey Michael S. here's a tip. Hire someone who has a clue what the meaning of the term "customer service" is. Or you can just keep racking up complaints about this clearly miserable person. You choose! read more

Really wanted to give them my money to fix my dryer, but the receptionist got me all the way to scheduling and then found out I lived in West Seattle and told me they don't service that area. Totally understand, but wish this was reflected on their website as there's no mention of any limitations to their service within the Seattle area and I could have saved my time calling a different place. Please update your website if you truly don't serve the greater Seattle area! read more

November 2020 - Called for service/repair on an oven; they said tech was out on Paternity leave until after the new year. GREAT for being a new dad; However, reception didn't offer any alternative or recommendation for our needs of service repair, and instead said to call the manufacturer. I get not wanting to send biz to your competitor, but if you can't provide, it's a poor cop-out to give BAD advice; appliance manufacturers want to sell, not service. This ensures i won't return later for future biz. read more

I called Green Machine to schedule a hookup of my Kenmore washer / dyer. The agent who answered the phone said Green Machine will not hookup appliances. What kind of appliance repair place is this if they cannot even make simple connections?! Furthermore, the agent was annoyed by my call and told me to call the manufacture. What kind of answer is that! She couldn't even refer me to someone who could complete the work. Try better Green Machine. read more

I would not recommend them. When I called to see about finding someone for my oven, the person who pick up the phone sounding annoyed and could not get off the phone fast enough. While I was talking about my issue, she interrupted me and said the head teach was out on personal leave until the end of the year and hung up on me. Terrible customer service. read more

Had a great experience with Green Machine. Scheduling was smooth and the appointment itself was all very professional. Mike called 20min before arriving, was within the scheduled appointment window, and was super clear and upfront about how the repair would go. Despite it being a very tricky repair job (a stacked dryer inside of a closet that faces a narrow hallway), he took care of everything smoothly. I would definitely recommend! read more

Was available on relatively short notice and took care of my clogged Samsung dishwasher for a reasonable price without trying to sell me anything extra. When Mike arrived, it was obvious he had seen and fixed my exact problem on multiple occasions. Bonus points for working quietly so my 3-month-old baby could nap nearby. Green Machine will be my first call next time I need appliance service. read more

Very professional and knowledgeable. Told us the right advice instead of the one that would benefit him. Honestly had a great experience (even though the outcome was that our very old dishwasher wasn't worth fixing due to the very high cost of the part). Trustworthy, would definitely use again. read more

One day I noticed my freezer would periodically thaw and then refreeze. This means one day my ice cream would be mushy and then rock hard the next - can't have that! I contacted Mike at Green Machine Appliance Repair and he was able to fit me in quickly. He showed up right on time. He was very courteous in diagnosing the problem and explained in easy to understand terms what could possibly be happening. There were several possibilities ranging from easy fixes to more expensive. He suggested starting out with the easiest and least expensive fix first and moving on from there. It turned out the relatively easy fix cured the issue after all! All Mike had to do was vacuum the coils underneath the fridge with his super fancy vacuum attachments and my fridge resumed normal operations. As a first time homeowner, I did not know this was A Thing. Apparently neither did the previous homeowner - yikes! So much dust! Mike explained that in the future I could vacuum the coils with my regular vacuum as preventative maintenance and that I should do it yearly. I would highly recommend Green Machine Appliance Repair to people in the Seattle area! read more

First of all, I love it that Mike responded to me quickly and left messages at both phone numbers I listed--his competitor didn't even bother to return my call until 5 days later! On his voicemail message to me, he mentioned he texts, so when scheduling our first appointment we skipped the phone tag altogether. Mike came to fix my washing machine and actually walked me through his diagnosis so that I understood what the issues were--so much so that I could actually explain it to other people (assuming they were interested). He needed to order a part, and that came within a week. My experience with Mike was been great. He's easy to talk to, professional, competitively and transparently priced as well as on top of communication and follow up. When an appliance breaks down, it's never an IDEAL situation, but Mike makes it bearable. read more

I bet if you asked this guy what the best place to have a sub sandwich is in the area, he would give you an honest answer and even directions. That's how good his customer service is. After getting left high and dry by Sears home to see about getting my dryer repaired, I scoured Yelp and found this place and all it's glowing reviews about his service and punctuality. Right off the bat, after I told Mike my problem, he recommended I try a slew of quick fixes (empty out the lint trap, see if there's blockage on the exhaust, etc.) before even thinking about setting an appointment up. A guy who would rather see me possibly fix my own problem if it were minor before even thinking about taking my money? Color me impressed. Unfortunately, the tips didn't solve the situation, so I booked him to take a more refined look. Mike showed up on time, and even though the issue wasn't fixable, he gave me a very descriptive breakdown of the condition my dryer was in, what needed repair but wasn't cost effective to do so(another opportunity to make money but didn't take it), and how I could possibly alleviate my two cycle drying. Look no further for your appliance repair folks. He's the neighborhood fix-it guy we'd all love to have to call on. read more

Mike was knowledgeable, professional, reasonably-priced, and a pleasure to be around. I called for help with my dishwasher and he was able to diagnose that it was an electrical issue, rather than anything wrong with the dishwasher. Also, while he was there, I was musing about how slow my oven was to heat up, and he showed me that one of the ignition elements had burned out and the oven was therefore working at 1/2 power. He was able to get the oven fixed the same day and gave us plenty of advice on appliance use/care for the future. I'd definitely recommend. read more

I am deeply suspicious of what just happened. Our dryer was no longer making any heat, so I called Mike at Green Machine. He was courteous. He was on time. He was friendly. He zeroed in on the problem, and gave me a clear explanation of what was wrong. He came back a few days later with the part, and fixed it for a very fair price. Mike, that's not how appliance repair is supposed to work! Your supposed to show up 2 hours late, with a vague mumbled apology. Your supposed to be surly and evasive about what is wrong with the appliance. Your supposed to charge the customer 3x what the job is worth, then pad the bill with a bunch of unnecessary baloney like, "Schnitzel filter needed replacement", or "Plasmafractal ducts needed cleaning". Mike's good people. If your appliance is broken, give him a call. You don't get droves of solid 5 reviews from snarky yelpers if your not the real deal. read more

The confident skill and great customer service of our repairman got me to sign up for a Yelp account just so I could post a good review for him. After first talking over the scenario by phone, Mike came out and efficiently diagnosed our warm fridge/freezer as having a faulty control board. As mentioned by others, he took the time to carefully explain how he came to this conclusion, which I really appreciated. Though there was a delay of a few days while he ordered the part, he took the initiative to find the most affordable source for it and kept me informed about the cost at every step along the way. I most appreciated Mike's prompt and responsible demeanor. He's smart, trustworthy, easy to work with. Highly recommended. read more

My clothes dryer started to make a lot of noise and I figured I would have to replace it. I decided to spend a few bucks and have someone take a look at it. I gave Mike at Green Machine a try based on the Yelp reviews. Mike asked a lot a questions on the phone and he said he charges $79 for a service call. He came out the next day and started working away on it. He took the machine apart and cleaned it but the noise was still present. He said he could take it to the next level and if he fixed it the cost would be $150. If he couldn't fix it he would just charge me the $79 service call. He probably spent a total of 1.5 hours working on it and found that one of the blower mounts had come loose. He tightened it up and now the machine is running quiet again. The work was done over a month ago and the noise hasn't come back. I am happy with the repair and would recommend him to my friends. read more

I can't imagine someone having a bad experience with Mike. He is so nice, honest, and knowledgeable. He showed me the cost of parts and such, so I knew exactly what I was paying him for the service he was providing. He also fixed everything quickly, and stuck around for a bit to be sure that everything ran well for a while. He just is a really nice guy--I highly recommend this business. He'll be my go-to appliance guy for all my rentals from now on. read more

Michael, the owner and technician, did a fantastic job fixing our Samsung dryer (no heat but blowing air). He diagnosed the problem quickly, provided an estimate that seemed reasonable AND, most importantly, drove to Tukwila to pick up the part on a Friday afternoon before the holiday weekend. Michael returned as promised late in the afternoon and had us up and running before the weekend. I have had numerous repair companies that arrive late, without the requisite parts, and no sense of urgency on returning with the part at a later date; clearly a problem with mission critical home appliances. It was such a pleasant surprise to have a vested owner who was willing to make this happen in one day. Professional and courteous, I couldn't have been happier with the work and the experience and will definitely call Michael again in the future. read more

You know the good feeling you get when you go to a store, and they talk you _out_ of buying something for a cheaper or better option? That was Mike. Pointed out something that might be a problem down the road (one of the shock absorbers inside the washing machine) , but suggested I should save my money and leave it be. Mike showed up on time, was friendly and professional, fixed the problem efficiently, and then did not overcharge. And he did not complain when my dog offered to help. Thanks! read more

So glad that my home is in their service area. We had another company out first to look at the Electrolux dryer. He said the 4 year old dryer needed a new motor ($400!). Okay, paid the service charge and never heard back(?). So after looking at reviews called Cindy @ Green Machine. Luckily for me, they had a cancellation so got Mark to come to the house in 4 days instead of 2 weeks. He looked at the dryer and shortly said, I believe the blower is blocked. Sure enough, there was lingerie in there along w/lint. So after cleaning it out, dryer works again & no expensive motor needed. Thanks Mark, Cindy and Green Machine. Highly recommend Green Machine! Call them, you won't be sorry! read more

Mike answered my call "live" and made an appointment for a few days later. He had lots of availability. The greatest appliance repair experience EVER! Mike is owner and operator of Green Machine Appliance Repair. It's a long story, but after two long months of an off and on refrigerator, and too many bad experiences with Sears' repair service's ineptitude, I found Mike. Two hours after arrival, it's fixed. New parts installed plus labor was less than $200.* Easy scheduling Prompt arrival Courteous and amiable Thoroughly knowledgeable Immediate access to parts And NO MANSPLAINING! I don't usually get excited over this type of thing, but seriously, Green Machine Appliance was fantastic! Yaaayyyy Mike! *For comparison, Sears wanted to charge $600 for parts + more $ for labor, and they'd misdiagnosed the problem. They would have wasted my $$$ on the wrong parts, and it'd still be broken. Oh, and Sears mansplained like crazy. http://m.greenmachineappliance.com/?url=http://www%2egreenmachineappliance%2ecom%2f#2700 read more

This place should be called "Ninja Appliance Repair" because I swear I didn't know it happened until I saw the fixed dryer. My wife and I have a house with a Natural Gas hookup and a natural gas dryer to go with it. At some point, it stopped heating up, so you could still dry clothes in it, but it took a long time to do so. Anyway, my wife and I decided we should try to track down the problem with the help of Youtube videos about dryer repair and a multimeter. After slowing dismantling the dryer and checking every electrical component, we determined that the dryer wasn't broken. Given that it was, we gave up and left the dryer like a dismembered body in the basement...not that we keep a dismembered body in the basement--I mean, think of the stench. You have to deal with those things quickly. So, we went about Yelping different places and this one had pretty good reviews, so we called them up. By "We" I mean my wife did. She scheduled an appointment for a day that she had off and here is where all the really praise-worthy stuff comes in. When the repair person showed up--it was exactly when he said he'd be there. He was cheerful and friendly. He quickly identified the part that went out--something that regulates the flow of gas and as a safety precaution stops letting gas through when it fails, presumably because most people who appreciate dry clothing still disapprove of being blown to bits by a gas leak in the middle of the night. He had the replacement part with him, identified it, priced it in his book and showed it all to my wife before proceeding. His performance was professional, friendly, very quick, and billing was straight forward. We never felt like he was dealing with us in an unfair manner and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. He reassembled the dismembered dryer and that was that. read more

I called to schedule an appointment to fix the door on my oven, but the receptionist told me they were too busy and booked at least two weeks out. I would have waited the two weeks (the problem doesn't keep us from using the oven), but she didn't even give me the chance to explain the problem or the option to set up an appointment. Very poor customer service. read more

Called for an assessment time on Thursday and he was able to come out on Tuesday. I was concerned about receptionist issues after reading past reviews but I didn't have a problem. I was put on hold a couple times while making the call to schedule but was able to get scheduled quickly. Mike came at the beginning of the time window to do an assessment of our washing machine and called about 15 minutes before he arrived. Ultimately the machine is not able to be repaired and we will have a buy a new one. Mike was very thorough in his explanation of what was wrong with the machine and why it would not be worth it to repair. He came wearing an N95 mask, gloves, and shoe covers which is good practice in these times of COVID. We will definitely consider Green Machine for future repair needs. read more

Our dryer stopped producing heat but we didn't know why. Mike was able to identify the problem and fix it on his first trip over. He was nice, timely, professional, and explained everything that was going on to my husband. If we have anymore problems in the future we will definitely call Green Machine! read more

Ugh I'm so sad to do this. I have contacted mike through his site at least 4x about the dishwasher repair not fixing the problem (and it seemed he didn't repair the problem I needed help with on it, which was that the soap dispenser wouldn't open). I just figured he knew what he was doing so the obstructions were related to both issues but nope. Anyway, he's never gotten back to me, so I paid $100 for nothing. I guess I should have done a charge-back or something but I figured he was a nice guy and was probably just busy. read more

I really wanted to use Green Machine, and was happy to see Bosch listed on their home page as a brand they serviced, because I'd been told by others that they didn't handle that. Turns out they don't service Bosch after all. I told them they ought to take that off their website, but it's still there. Just a warning to folks with Bosch machines... don't waste your time. I'll seriously consider them next time I have trouble with an appliance by a different manufacturer, but unless it's a mega-common one like Frigidaire, Hotpoint, KitchenAid, Maytag, Kenmore, Whirlpool, GE (you get the drift) I don't know if I can trust their list and would rather not waste my time. Hope to be able to upgrade this to 4 or 5 stars someday! read more
