I've had a bad experience with another appliance repair shop, so I took to yelp to find someone else. Jeff picked up the phone right away, asked some simple questions that inspired me to open up my leaky washer and identify the parts that needed replacing. I called him back the next day, told him the parts that need replacing and he came over the following day with replacements. Unlike the other place where they replaced the parts and left (and it kept on leaking), Jeff went through a long post-service diagnostic to make sure the washer wasn't leaking after the parts were installed. It's not well advertised, but his service and parts are guaranteed for 1 year! He was more expensive than the other place but he replaced more parts and did more to ensure it was a good fix. Jeff is so knowledgeable and honest. He has helped me out now three times over the past few years. Last October I was going to purchase a new dishwasher because I thought mine was failing because the dishes weren't getting clean. Jeff came out and for a fraction of the price of a new dishwasher did a deep clean and showed me how to maintain and keep it clean and running well. Problem solved. After the phone call, he never showed up again and never picked up the phone while I try to call him many times to get the update on the part order. This is a very unreliable company and service person, I will never hire him again and caution you to avoid this company/person for your repair job. read more

I called Jeff regarding a nonfunctioning dishwasher. After telling me that he thought it was the control panel, he had me call a warehouse at a number he provided to check for parts availability. I verified with him that if the part was available he would be doing the installation, to which he agreed. After verifying part availability, I called and left a message to which I received no reply. I called once more asking him to let me know if he was available to do the work or not so that I could explore other options if necessary. I received no reply. In short, although I am thankful that he generally pointed me in the right direction (hence the 2 and not 1 star review), I am disappointed at his lack of response and can't recommend this service. read more

Jeff from Appliance Experts did it again! I have used Jeff twice in the past (most recently to help repair an oven door that kept locking), and this time he came through yet again - and for free! My husband has done DIY on a previous issue for our Bosch dishwasher, and was trying to figure this new issue out (didn't stop running), but had run out of time on his schedule, so I called Jeff to try to make an appt. Jeff researched the issue for us, calling back in a couple of days, and my husband was able to successfully diagnose the issue by following Jeff's instructions--my husband then fixed the dishwasher himself (ordering a replacement circuit board online). Jeff could have easily come in and charged us big $$ (after each day of handwashing dishes, the amount I'd be willing to pay went up exponentially!) but was happy to help for free over the phone and turned down an offer of payment. How does he do it? I don't know (perhaps he has more work than he can do), but I'm sure glad he does! read more

Wow. What a great experience. Came home from holiday with all the laundry covered in sand and fun only to discover the dryer was not working. I called Jeff to get an estimate on how much it'll cost to fix my dryer. He asked for the exact problem, which was the knob wasn't clicking upon dryer selection. He told me over the phone to remove the knob and verify if the D-shape pole was broken inside, which it wasn't. He then walked me thru instructions on how to temporarily fix the knob problem. Overall, he helped us fix the problem, gave us advice on where you get a new knob cheaply and didn't ask a dime for all the help. I'm grateful to find an honest and knowledgeable appliance person. Jeff picked up on the first ring. I told him I was getting a e15 code on my bosch dishwasher (dishwasher failure due to a leak in the basin). He told me most common problem is too much soap/jet dry, pull the kickboard off and check the float. Exactly what the issue was! Incredibly rude on the phone. Despite an urgent repair request the owner refused to put me on the schedule tenatively for 5 bus days out after I told him I would need to call around for more urgent support, but still wanted to hold a spot. Unprofessional, unfriendly and not willing to be flexible at all with potential customers. When you work in a business where things break last minute and people have water leaking all over their home a little empathy and flexibility go a long way. I got a referral to Appliance Experts because the appliances I wanted an estimate on, not everyone works on. I talked with Jeff and he came out to look at my mom's garbage compactor, ice maker, and down draft fan/vent. First he looked at everything, taking it apart to figure out why each appliance is not working. Then he sat down with me to explain what is faulty with each appliance, what the cost is to repair, and what the cost is if I wanted to replace it altogether. He gave some sound advice regarding what appliances are worth the money and repair. When he came to do the repairs, he worked efficiently and is very clean. He cleans up after himself and even shared the space with my nosy bulldog. After the repairs he gave me advice on how to maintain each appliance to help it last longer. All of the 5 star reviews are so true! I had an appt with a tech from a different company to look at the inner drum of my washer which was visibly loose and making a lot of noise. They were going to charge $75 just to come out. I decided to get a second opinion. I called another company who told me they don't do inner drum washer repairs because they're too expensive. Confused over the conflicting info, I then called Jeff, who not only confirmed that it's expensive to repair/buy inner drum parts (might as well just buy a new washer) but also explained over the phone how I could check myself to determine if the inner drum is actually broken beyond repair or not. What kind of repair man will help you trouble shoot the problem over the phone and help you, without charge, so you can fix the problem yourself? Our fridge died on a Saturday and slowly everything was warming up. I figured the food was a loss since it woudl be impossible to find someone who could repair on short notice on a Saturday. I called and talked to Jeff and he helped me trouble shoot over the phone, after giving our model number he quickly determined the control board for the fridge was probably blown. After walking me though where to find and check it, sure enough there was a burnt out spot on the circuit board. He even told us where to get the replacement part and the cost. A few hours after finding the problem we are back up and running. AWESOME. Although we didn't technically use Jeff's on-site service, this customer experience alone is enough to turn me into a long term customer. read more

We called this guy because our fridge wouldn't stay cold. Our fridge was having an issue and he needed it to turn on for a cycle before it would start so he could locate the problem. But it was overheated and wouldn't start. He stayed for three hours (until 10PM) until he was able to reproduce the problem, and then fixed it in a jiffy. It's been working perfectly since. Jeff is amazing and is responsible for getting two appliances back in working order. I initially called him when my fridge broke. He walked me through troubleshooting it on the phone and with the help of multi-meter we were able to narrow it down to the starter relay. He told me where to buy the starter relay and I bought it and replaced it myself based on his instructions. A few months later my oven stopped turning on. After diagnosing it on the phone he got the right part ordered and came by to install it once he had the part. While at the house he also fixed a minor issue with my dishwasher.
