So I did end up with another issue and contacted Zhen's. He did great. Had me check a couple of things before he came so he would not have to make two trips (charge twice). As a first-time homeowner, I've spent a lot of time trying to build a stable of trusted, quality contractors and repairmen. Hasn't always been easy, but Jerry (Zhen's owner) was a breath of fresh air. Responded quickly on a Friday afternoon, had a window the following Monday, and showed up on time. Was back and forth to his van a few times, and always put on booties before coming back in the house. Identified the problem quickly, and it only took a few minutes to fix. However, he was here for over an hour, because he didn't come to make a quick fix, but to make sure our whole appliance is in good working order. He ran a diagnostic, cleaned out a gunky fill box, and repaired some loose fastenings. When he pulled out the unit and saw how dusty and dirty it was under our counter, he even shot out to the van to grab his shop vac and clean the area. All of this for a very reasonable price. Before he came out, he spoke to me over the phone and gave me a few tips to see if the leak underneath our washer would stop. I followed his instruction and water still came out from underneath our 15 year old washer. I texted him back and he was able to come out the second day. Our family owns an apartment building in Bellevue and one of our tenants was having problems with the burners sparking. I reached out to Jerry via text and he asked me for more details. After reviewing the situation, he wrote me back and suggested that he could repair it for about $300 but given that a newer cheap stove cost $600, we should consider buying a new stove instead. I really appreciate his honest advice - especially during this pandemic time when travel/ entering people's houses is restricted - which is why I am writing this review.
