Two stars. Hired them for deck repair and staining, quoted at $1,150 as a three-day job. It took over two weeks across four visits, I ended up applying a second coat myself, and the stairs are still unusable.
Scheduling was a constant problem. Dates moved repeatedly and I was never told proactively -- every time, I found out by asking. On one occasion I received a confirmation text that technicians would arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. Nobody came and nobody called. When I followed up, I was told there had been "miscommunication" and no slot had actually been available for me that day.
The bigger issue was pricing. Their written quote listed Day 2 as "sand the deck as needed and apply the paint or stain." Partway through the job I was told the staining would cost an additional $550 to $700, taking the total from $1,150 to $1,700. The original price was only honored after I quoted their own written estimate back to them across several rounds of back-and-forth. Had I not pushed, I would have paid roughly 50% above quote for work that was in the quote to begin with. That shouldn't be on the customer to catch.
The stairs are the part that still isn't resolved. Their assessment explicitly identified the staircase as needing repair, and the price followed in the same message with no exclusion attached. Once the job was underway, the stairs were reclassified as outside the scope -- they were never pressure washed, never repaired, and are still unusable today. I paid the full quoted amount for a quote that, as written, identified the stairs as work to be done. They acknowledged in writing that the stairs shouldn't have been mentioned if they weren't included, but acknowledging it didn't repair them.
The staff I dealt with were polite throughout, and the schedule confusion was at least partly a text-messaging failure on their system.
If you hire them: get the entire scope itemized in writing with a price attached to each line before anyone starts, keep every message, and don't assume anything named in the assessment is actually covered.
