I asked Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning to clean my dryer vents because I was my dryer was taking a long time to dry my clothes for the past year or more. My dryer was old (23.5 years) so first I got a new dryer. However, when that didn't help I tried to clean the dryer vent myself. I discovered that my dryer vent exits on the roof of my house - so I realized I needed to hire someone. As I researched companies, I discovered there is a vast range of pricing and expertise available. The cheaper companies (~$150) won't go on the roof and often only clean the vent from one side. Although Seattle Dryer Vent is not the cheapest, they are knowledgable about what they do and they do a thorough job. The technician arrived on time, was pleasant, and seemed to immediately know what the problem would be when I explained the problem I was having with drying my clothes. It turns out the the builders (my home was built in 2002) hadn't removed a mesh screen from the vent on the roof which was preventing my vents from fulling expelling the dryer lint out the end of the vent. The technician removed the screen as part of the service. Thanks to Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning company, my clothes now dry in a reasonable amount of time. They charged me a ton of money and caused more issues than they fixed. Have a dryer that's been yelling at me for some time (rental townhome built in 2022, vent never cleaned.) They came out in short order, made it work with my weird property layout, found creative ways to access things when they revealed themselves to not be easy to access.) Not really cheap, but well worth it for the fire safety and to have a working dryer again. And given the contortion he had to do to clean it? It was definitely worth it. I had a fantastic experience with this company from the phone call in to request a quote and schedule service, through the actual cleaning of my dryer vent. The technician, Brandon, was friendly and professional. He was respectful to our home (e.g. proactively wore shoe covers, requested permission to leave the entry door cracked for equipment, etc.) and did a very thorough job. We had a different company clean our dryer vent and they didn't get anything out, two different repair companies said it was a clog in the exhaust, and we manually detached our dryer hose and tried to clean it and the vent and got nothing out ourselves. Brandon worked on the exhaust from the exit on the side of our home and got whatever was lodged out (showed me a video of debris being vacuumed out). I wish I could give 6 stars. So, instead, here's 6 things I've loved about working with him. 1. Joe and team have answered the phone every single time I've called, which is not my experience with the vast majority of businesses related to appliances. 2. Both times I've needed him he's come out in 1-2 business days 3. Our dryer and washer are stacked and in a very tight space. I've had two other folks come out and work on various issues over the years, and in both cases they damaged the vents b/c it's so tight back there. Joe not only didn't cause damage, he installed a lower-profile vent that fits in our space better. 4. This last call included me asking for him to help with something a bit outside of his vent-cleaning wheelhouse and he was happy to oblige. We have a dryer that was shooting fuzz and lint out of the external duct work for a little while, so we contacted Joe @ Seattle Dryer Vent Cleaning. He responded the same day, with a very thorough set of questions via text that helped him plan and quote the service for us within the hour. He came out to service the dryer the very next day. After thoroughly cleaning the dryer and the hosing / vent, I asked him what his opinion was of the exhaust duct work we had. It was the plastic accordion type duct work and it worried me. He recommended replacing it with steel duct work, and quoted me on the spot to take care of it. About an hour later, he had the duct work completely replaced, and routed through a really tight spot! We called Joe to come work on dryer vents cleaning at our business; but what a pleasant surprised, he cleaned off all the dust collected behind the washers/dryers, inside the chassis of the dryers, the dust behind our hot water tank as it is located in the laundry room as well, wiped down all our washers and dryers, and even the floor of the laundry room.
