Me and my boyfriend came at midday on a Monday and it was pretty packed. We spent $70 including the 20% tip. We waited a long time for our coffee. We ordered an iced biscoff latte and Dubai latte. The biscoff latte tasted watery and there wasn't even a hint of biscoff in it. The Dubai latte was actually repulsing, it tasted like toilet water and I'm not even picky when it comes to iced coffee. We had to ask to get it remade and by the time we were done eating the remade coffees finally came out and we only liked one of them. The staff was nice though and the place was clean. I decided to try Pineapple Soul based on their coffee flights. It's a cute cafe where you order your food up front and find a seat, it's more cafe style than restaurant. I ordered the chicken and waffles. It was really good but just needed more sauce. My husband ordered the empanadas and dang, each one of those were amazing!! The coffee flight was fun and everything tasted so good. The staff are friendly and helpful. My husband had an issue with his empanadas being all one flavor when he ordered three different ones. They ended up making him a whole new meal and allowed him to keep the previous one. That's outstanding service right there! The cafe is definitely Instagram worthy with plant walls and neon lights. Second time at Pineapple Sol. It was not crowded at all when we arrived around 10:30 am on a Saturday but it was definitely picking up by the time we left. One of the employees kindly told us we could move tables together if others were joining us. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. Husband ordered the same as last time we were there -- Philly cheesesteak and a regular coffee. He is very particular about his cheesesteaks and says their's is the absolute best. I tried the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs. It was very tasty although I would have preferred a tad more salsa. The pancake flights they were bringing out looked amazing. This is a beautiful spot in a nice, quiet shopping center. You are immediately greeted with a floral, well-lit atmosphere. It felt as if we were on vacation. The menu is diverse, there's literally something for everyone. I ordered the Açaí Bowl, my husband got the surfside croissant; both were presented beautifully, made with quality ingredients, and tasted great! Their coffee selection is wonderful, and there are many other drinks available, too. To top it off, you receive complimentary cheesecake bites at the end of your meal. This is a super cute breakfast/lunch spot! I went here for a quick breakfast before the airport and got the breakfast burrito. It was very flavorful and I enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn't take a photo but it had potatoes, cheese, turkey bacon, and scrambled eggs inside. I think the ratio of potatoes to egg could have been better but overall it was great! I visited the cafe this past Thursday morning for breakfast during Yelp Elite Week. It's convenient and unique to serve a Breakfast Menu All Day. I arrived around 10:00 with plans to meet friends before the busy lunch hour. This was perfect timing. There were 2 customers ahead of me and plenty of seating available for me to set up my laptop with an electrical outlet to catch up on work emails. The food is prepared Halal. No pork. Animal-derived products extracted from Zabiha animals acceptable by Islamic dietary laws. You cannot compare it to meats supplied in other restaurants that are not Halal. I decided on the Chai Nog latte. It was the perfect combination of Chai spice and Eggnog. Very delicious and comforting. One of the owners was kind and discussed my choice with me. I added almond milk. For my entree I had the Malibu breakfast. Beef bacon, scrambled eggs & 2 mini pancakes. For a catering business, I expected the entrees to be plated with more flair and presentation. My friend's latte was beautiful with a lovely heart designed with the foam and a candy cane to garnish. Our food was delivered to our table rather prompt. A waitress came out with our drinks and my friend's entree first. I found the gold cutlery very fancy for a cafe. The jazz music was soothing and I was able to stay an extra 2 hours to get some work done in peace. Ambiance was great. The pandemic has been hard on small businesses all across the board. From staffing challenges to inflation on ingredients and other supplies. This is a small cafe not a huge 5-Star restaurant franchise. It is a small, women owned and operated catering business and cafe. With time, Pineapple Sol has room to improve on the food quality, presentation and service. I came here truly hoping for a better experience than the one we had when we visited during a recent Yelp event. Sadly, I have to report - I don't see us returning again. We came today as one of my friends had heard about the restaurant and wanted to try it. I did warn of the prior time and some of the reviews, however, they still wanted to give it a try - maybe this time it would be great. They were proven wrong and greatly regretted the whole situation! We arrived after 1pm. To our surprise they were celebrating their one year anniversary of being open. They had a face painting/henna table and fairy hair table for free with purchase for customers to enjoy with or without their children. There was also a table with complimentary treats for guests to graze on. It looked as if it might have been a great setup but by the time we had arrived, it was clear it had been picked over and some of the stuff had started to melt because of the table being located in the sun. There was a long wait for food - that wasn't previously stated while ordering. At this moment, it started to feel like I was reliving the Yelp event. At this point, I am holding out that things will become better - spoiler alert; they didn't. To pass time, I got my face painted and still there was no food at our table by the time I came back in. It had been about 45 mins at this point. My partner realized they were giving our food to another table and those people were taking the food as if they had ordered it. At some point the staff realized what was happening and stopped to ask us what we ordered. The root of the issue was they had given two tables the SAME number. Just note - some of our order still didn't come out correctly after telling them what we ordered and they checked to make sure we get our food timely. This is where we had our biggest issue. If it's been taking about 15 to 20 mins to get food to the table. You realize you have given the food to the wrong table, take it back, and then service us in about 5 mins - with what is supposed to be freshly cooked for us - does the math add up? I will leave it at that. The staff (I believe the owner) did acknowledge the mix up and complimentary desserts for the matter. It was a great suggestion but it didn't undo the issue at hand. I do have one suggestion for the business, having someone to be a hostess and control the flow of the seating would serve better for this space and for how busy they can get. I noticed a lot of customers just did what they wanted to and that was truly disruptive to the other customers and staff. Having a host would have better flow of who you are seating, help manage the orders flowing out, and help with the flow of bigger groups that feel as if they can take over the whole space while overlooking others in the restaurant. Hopefully, they will change up the experience and keep finding a flow that will better serve them. I can't say I will be back to see about it. read more

I wish I could leave a better review, but my experience just wasn't great. I feel like they were understaffed and the workers tried their best, but overall I would not come back for multiple reasons. Ordering was easy -- we went up to the cash register, placed our order, and got a number. After this is when our bad experience started. All tables were full, so despite receiving a number we had nowhere to go and were not directed by staff on where to wait for a table to open up. As tables started opening up, we were still not able to sit down as tables were filled with dirty plates/cups. We even asked the server if we could clear a table ourselves and were told to wait for them to clear it. After awkwardly standing next to tables and waiting about 10 minutes, we were finally able to sit down. Our coffees came pretty fast - my latte was great which is why this review is getting 3 stars. We then, however, waited for over an hour for our food to come out. When our food arrived, it was not what we ordered. I ordered a BEC on a bagel, and I got a biscuit instead of a bagel. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast BTE and it arrived on a bread roll rather than a baguette. My BEC also had cilantro on it, which heavily altered the taste and did not pair well at all. The food was extremely under seasoned and bland, and the bacon was so chewy I could not eat it. The tater tots were also flavorless. It was just disappointing considering how long we waited for our food. I am hoping our experience was an abnormal one and others had better experiences. I ordered an iced tea for $3.00 which was very small. My husband got the Caesar chicken wrap with fries and my son got the buffalo wrap. I got the chicken sandwich with fries. Unfortunately, it took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. They were not prepared for a crowd. We weren't told about the wait before ordering and when I checked 1 hour in, I was told 10-15 min more. The food was good. No condiments or silverware were outside which is no big deal. The server quickly brought a fork for my son's side salad. The salad was huge and fresh. The barista making drinks was extremely ill mannered, being disrespectful to coworkers that therefore made customers uncomfortable. I don't think she put the right milk or any flavoring in my drink, which was an extra charge. After I asked to correct it, she seemed visibly upset and stared at my group, making us uncomfortable. However, the cafe is well decorated and has a nice outside seating area. Still all items are very pricy and there is an added service charge that I did not know about until it was time to check out. As expensive as all items are, I'm surprised the service charge is even included. The wait time was long for simple dishes. There was also no utensils stocked in the holders. This is a very cute restaurant in a great location. I love this location in general because of all the great fitness, wellness, and food spots that are here. Pineapple Sol fit right in with its colorful indoor and outdoor seating area and nice atmosphere. They have a bakery and coffee bar inside with all their delicious looking baked goods displayed in the glass. Everything on the menu is under $15, halal, and has options for every kind of diner (vegan, gluten free, pescatarian, etc.) The food was good and hot. I got a burger and a philly cheesesteak. I was so shocked the cheesesteak was $12 but seeing later that it was a small roll it made sense. I would say it's a good spot to come with friends or family for a nice quick brunch that isn't too pricey or somewhere to go real quick after the gym. The food didn't take long to come out and the staff was very friendly but it did seem to get busier when I was leaving. I loved Pineapple Sol the minute I walked in. The staff happily says welcome, it's bright inside and very cute. There are plenty of tables inside and several outside. I had previously had breakfast here and enjoyed it, so I decided to try the empanadas to go. There are 3 options normally, chicken, beef and spinach & cheese. Somewhat unfortunate for me, they had a big rush earlier in the day and only had beef empanadas left. I ordered the 3 beef empanadas and ate them later in the evening. They were very flavorful, but somewhat dry due to the beef being overcooked, but the shell was perfect. The empanadas come with a cilantro chutney, which to me tasted more like a delicious pesto aioli. They were still really good, so I can only imagine how delicious they will be when the meat is not overcooked. I also ordered 2 delicious pastries to go. I cannot remember the name of them, but I was able to get a picture at home before I ate them, but they taste almost exactly like baklava, but has a softer texture and shredded coconut. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed with the crowd, but in the end handled it well. The staff was very helpful with menu suggestions, and if there was something they were unsure of, they would ask the chef. I'm excited to go back and try more menu items very soon. read more

I think Pineapple Sol is a place with lots of potential! The cafe/restaurant itself is very well designed: brightly lit with lots of cute, modern, and instagrammable areas. It's located in a nice plaza that feels safe. The menu selection is also good, with enough variety for everyone but not so much as to be overwhelming. The food: - pancakes were good - the cornbread chicken dish was good, and fries were excellent - chicken and waffles: the chicken nuggets aren't the best for presentation and were also too dry and overcooked. The waffles were soggy. - the hot chocolate's marshmallows were stiff and tasted stale - the cookie/gingerbread latte was fine The service: - Everyone was nice, and I think they had great intentions, but they need a little more training. For example, they brought the pancakes over but left before we could ask for utensils. They brought fries over and left before we could ask for ketchup. - the food took about 40 minutes to come out; I'm guessing they're short staffed and not yet ready to handle a very busy day - there wasn't much indoor seating, and we had to ask for the table to be cleaned and prior used dishes to be removed I'm looking forward to trying this place again once they've implemented some improvements! As a latte lover, I appreciated being able to get four different coffee options. The Dubai Chocolate was really good and the white chocolate raspberry was my second favorite. Biscoff and Lavender Latte flavors were very mild. I would've wanted a little stronger lavender taste on it. I've been here before and their brunch food was very mediocre in taste. So I kind of stayed away from trying their food. Going off the recent reviews, it doesn't seem like that has changed so I'm hoping that they'd work more on improving their food quality. I had the pancakes, and they were so fluffy and tasty. They were slightly floral tasting and subtle. I also tried the skillet, which was nicely seasoned and came with a choice of egg. The portions were large and the prices were reasonable to me. They have a good number of coffee options. I opted for the flight, which was really fun and came with a good number of options to try. However, I did think it was a little sweet. If you're into dessert-type drinks this might be your place. This place was overpriced... it wasn't bad but it wasn't good. My omelette was below average and had the smallest slices of turkey bacon in it and what seemed like almost no cheese. It was stuffed with peppers and onions. My friends avacado toast seemed to be a lot more corn starch then fresh avacado. For that price I'd expect better. All I got was an omelette with water and with a 15% tip it was over $20. The water cups are also very very small, it's like a mouthwash cup. Atmosphere is very cute but wouldn't come back. read more
