You can either make your own meal from choices offered or choose a combination plate from the menu. Drinks are self-serve. Food, not eating utensils, is delivered to your table. Has high prices (black plain coffee is almost $5); adequate food taste. Charged us the menu prices posted. No one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business. Their biscuits, light fluffy and not dry, are worth pointing out are pretty darn good. I particularly enjoyed the mushroom option. You bus your own table. There are no antiseptic or paper towels offered to sanitize the table before or after you use it. Keep that in mind when you sit down at a table. I recommend bringing your own sanitizer and paper towels and first wipe down the table. I rate 'em 3 stars. According to Yelp ratings' definitions, that's "Ok". That to me is an acceptable rating of something that does day in and day out what it is there to do. It's NOT a negative review because doing day in and day out what it is there to do is NOT an easy thing to accomplish. Why are there such a large number of reviews here in the not recommended bin? I prefer a much more flakey and buttery biscuit, these were a little closer to cakes for me. Reggie Deluxe - pretty good, but the thick slice of chicken was a bit bland and the batter for fried chicken wasn't what I was looking for. Egg and bacon were good. Country Fried Steak - this was alright, kind of a tang and sour flavor to the meat or breading. The biscuit and mushroom gravy was good. Biscuits and Gravy - this also had decent biscuits and good gravy. I would prefer the flakey and buttery style these just fell a little short. Took my husband here to try since I enjoyed it the first time I came. He ordered the Reggie and I ordered The Moneyball both with the mushroom gravy. His dish was delicious, however, mine came out very cold. It wasn't enjoyable to eat. I was highly disappointed since I typically rave about this place. I mainly ate off my husbands plate. What a great find! This was our second time eating here and wasn't disappointed. The restaurant is open and fairly quiet. This is an order at counter then food brought out. The food came out quicker than o got to the table with my coffee. The biscuits have a crunchy bottom with a soft and fluffy inside . The menu has a great assortment but biscuits are the go to. My wife and I split a biscuits and gravy plus an extra biscuit on the side. They have very tasty sausage gravy or mushroom gravy for vegetarian diets. Came in to put myself in a food coma before the long drive home. When you walk in, menus are at the door and they ask that you first order before heading to a table. I ordered the Money Ball with mushroom gravy and was caught a bit off guard when I was asked if I minded it coming with scrambled egg. I asked if they don't do over easy anymore (as it's stated on the menu) and the girl at the counter said they do... but they prefer not to. I requested to keep the over easy. The house made mango hot sauce packs a ton of heat, so just use a little if you don't want it too spicy! The mushroom gravy is definitely mushroom forward (think cream of mushroom). While I would order it that way again, I'd probably opt to try the sausage gravy first. Biscuits were nice and fluffy- not crazy dense. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which I went back to the counter to ask for, as the food came first. They quickly got it prepared for me. The Bloody Mary itself was decent. I'm not a person who likes bisquets and gravy very much but I decided to give it a chance. We arrived there at noon and the place was completely empty, the place has a concept of ordering first and they bring your food to the table. As I mentioned before, I'm not a big fan of biscuits so I took a lot to try to decide what I wanted from the menu and in all that moment the lady who was at the register was very patient. The food didn't take long to get to our table and I must accept that the food was very tasty at first it took me a little to get the flavor of the shrimp & grits because it was as if I was eating oatmeal but the shrimp and mushrooms gave it an exquisite flavor. We came here while strolling around with out-of-town visitors. We weren't feeling too hungry when we sat at the table, but we all finished everything on the plates. Needless to say, we were very happy with our lunch, and husband was glad that he suggested this place. I had The Club with fried chicken. You place your order at the counter, grab a mug, and pour your own coffee before being assigned a table number where your food is brought out. There's also a sign asking guests to bus their own tables. The food was okay, but it didn't quite stand out or meet expectations. That said, the habanero hot sauce was excellent and definitely a highlight. Not to mention the pickles and stone ground mustard added a good tangy flavor. My husband got the busts and gravy and said that the gravy was one of the most delicious things he has ever had. The food came out so quick, I think 5 minutes after ordering. The beauty of a small and specialized menu. There are several tables for couples and groups of 4, and some bar seating. This is a busy place and they will not let you sit in a table that is bigger than your amount of people. For instance, 2 people would not be able to sit at a table for four. The biscuit is top notch and inspired in Portland OR so there is a nice story about the success of this small business. Next choose your table and they bring your food out to you! I had some difficulty with one of the menu items it says 2 eggs and hash browns $5, but I noticed I was charged $5 each. It's not what the menu says. I would advise the owner to change the entry on the menu. I asked to remove the $5 hash browns. The Reggie was delicious, it's big so my husband and I split it and I had the side of scrambled eggs. The Reggie has a little spicy kick to it, but was good. Our first time here! Stopped in for a Friday AM breakfast and it was pretty quiet, easy to get a table and everything came out lightning quick. I got biscuits and gravy with an egg on top, my husband made a sandwich with just the basic ingredients, and we each got a black coffee. Our food was overall really tasty--my husband especially enjoyed the habanero sauce--and they didn't skimp on the gravy which was awesome. It was just a little oniony for my taste (compounded by a ton of chives sprinkled on top) but still tasty overall. One star off for that and for the fact that it was about $40 for our meal, which felt a little steep. Especially since $9 of that was just for two plain black coffees, and we didn't enjoy the flavor of either roast option. They were both pretty fruity/floral which while def unique, is not my coffee vibe. Service was great and friendly though, so no complaints there. The reggie deluxe - same as the Reggie but with an over-hard egg. I take my comment back. THIS is the only thing you need. I love me some eggs. Brisket Bricuit - smoked brisket topped with carmalized onion, served with house made carolina gold bbq sauce. This was recommended by the cashier but fell short for everyone. The brisket is not the juciest, which makes it dry with the biscuit. To each their own, but the bbq sauce was not our jam. Blueberry cornmeal pancakes - This was a hit. The family loves corn pancakes to begin with so this was a taste of home for us. Hash ups - hash browns topped with grilled onion, mushrooms, and cheddar. This one was the one we were all excited for but fell short. It was a no cohesive and just thrown together awkwardly. The cheddar was to one side of the hashbrowns and then the mushrooms on the other side of the hashbrowns. Chicken Fried steak - You guys know what a chicken fried steak is so I will spare you the description. The steak was rubbery and falling apart like it got beat too hard and become ground meat. I quickly returned it, as everyone took a bite and thought the same. No issues getting a new dish, but that left a bad taste for us. Bourbon carmel cinnamon roll - Looks amazing but fell very short for us. Very cinnamon roll. Sweet tea - very tea forward and in a small glass. Overall I would come back just for the Reggie and blueberry cornmeal pancakes. Service was good. Cons of this place is bussin your own tables at the end. The staff is nice and helpful- they guided me through the menu and I had some fantastic biscuits and gravy - wow- sooo good. I found a new love for Reno. As soon and you walk in you meet the staff and they were very welcoming. it's home cooking biscuits and gravy- you get your coffee and put your dishes in the corner to help out- they staff too care of us and were very attentive with questions I had . The service is good with a family feel. It's like a fast paced home cooked meal. Enjoy myself on a Wednesday morning at this restaurant. It was Ash Wednesday and there were a lot of non meat items to choose from. I got a version of biscuits and gravy. Very happy with the portions. It was very filling. Nothing too crazy about the taste, just felt like a good country meal. Service was pretty fast. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. And you have to bus your own plates. Which is no problem at all. It was a Wednesday morning so we had a table pretty quickly. I'm not a fan of gravy, but my sisters love it and both ordered a mix of their mushroom and sausage gravy; they said it was better than grandma's at Thanksgiving. The indoor seating was very loud so we opted outside. Thankfully, it was a cooler week because there weren't any umbrellas at the picnic tables. But the tables were clean and quite comfortable for wooden picnic tables. The service was quite slow, I think they were understaffed; there may have been 10-12 people ahead of us and we were in line for over 20 minutes to order at the front. Then it took us over 30 minutes to get our food. This is not the only restaurant I have seen in recent weeks that is running on low staff so I think it's more of a widespread problem than just PSB. read more

The service ruined an otherwise good experience. There was this hostess? server? Short little miss attitude with glasses that apparently gets flustered when people show up at their place to eat and she let it show. One person sat out large party at table 47 and 46. We sat at 47 and ordered while the rest of our group was parking. When the rest sat down, miss thing gave our table away to some other group inside the place and yelled, "we don't save places for people". Highly flustered (and rude) we explained that our table wasn't "saved" but to keep her from losing it even more, we all crammed in to 47. We ate, left , and won't be back. Too many other places that appreciate it when a good sized party patronizes their establishment. It's a shame because we come to town several times per year and are always up for new places.
