Dropped in here on a rainy May afternoon (doesn't really narrow down the day, does it?) and got the Buffalo Chicken to go minus the banana peppers. Real nice folks working at this time of day, took my order, got it to me in about five minutes or so and asked me the magic question, magic dust or not? I opted for some of their dust along with some red peppers and I was not disappointed. Pizza was delicious, crust cooked perfectly and blend of buffalo sauce, cheddar, grilled chicken and my own add-on of sun dried tomatoes made this a rock solid pizza. Good value and decent pizza! As others have said, it's kind of like Subway for pizza. There are a variety of pre-designed pizzas on the menu, or for $6.99 you can build your own (with an unlimited amount of toppings!). There are tons of toppings available and several different types of crust to choose from. Hubs got the chicken carbonara and loved it. I built my own and made it a white pizza... olive oil/garlic in lieu of marinara, mozzarella blend, Italian sausage, spinach, and mushrooms on a pan crust. LOVED mine. Can't beat the taste and speed for the price. One of the best things for us was that a kid's pizza (with one topping) is only $3.49! Most kid's meals are five bucks. Super value, especially when you have a young toddler who barely eats anything. We came early--before noon on a Saturday--and that was a great idea because the line was literally out the door just a few minutes after we walked in. We'll be back! read more

Wow. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I went with my mother in law who is severely allergic to gluten. I mentioned it to the guy behind the counter and he was on it. He immediately changed his gloves, wiped off the counter, and got out the gluten free pizza. Then he took out each fresh ingredient from the fridge that she wanted on her pizza to avoid contamination. They cooked it, and then wiped down the counter again, got a new cutting board and pizza cutter out, and made sure there was no cross contamination. I was so impressed! They were happy to help my mother in law with her allergies and made it an amazing experience! Will be back! Plus the pizza was amazing! read more

It was ok. I like the idea of being able to put whatever I want on a pizza, and their prices are very reasonable. We decided to stop in here after Panera closed early on a Sunday and I couldn't be more pleasantly surprised! I got the Margherita pizza and it was amazing with the perfect balance of garlic and basil. They have a Cauliflower crust and gluten free if that's what you're interested in as well. I really want to give this place 5 stars but as a vegetarian i find it really hard to see how they throw the ingredients everywhere and they end up putting meat with the veggie containers. I look at it and feel like my food has been compromised/contaminated. I really wish they would set up the food in a better way to prevent cross contamination. Have a shield separating the meat products from the veggies. Train your employees that a customer getting veggie pizzas means CHANGE your gloves and cut it with a CLEAN cutter and board!!! read more

My wife and I arrived at 6:30 this evening the young man that made my pizza wasn't too swift. My wife ordered a sandwich which took 3 attempts and 45 minutes to make. Love, Love, Love this place! I know some other reviewers don't like the classic pan crust, but I think it's fabulous. The variety and freshness of the toppings is incredible and everyone always gets exactly what they want on their pizza. The location has lousy parking - if you are going at anything but a really off hour, plan on parking in the back, parking along Main St, especially with Mooyah, Pei Wei and Freebirds there is terrible. Chances are there will be some sort of line when you get in, but it goes by quick and you figure by the time you finish paying, your pizza is ready so it's not a terrible wait. This place is great if you aren't particular about pizza...or under the age of 10. I agree with the review that said this is a Subway for pizzas. The choices were great and pizza tastes good but it was nothing special. I thought it was cute how the salad came in a bread bowl...but it was very stale! Maybe it's not meant for eating, but then it's sort of a waste of food? The service was that of any fast food type place...just okay. Friendly enough but nothing out of the ordinary. Very delicious, loved the pizza and their apple pie is to die for! Would definitely recommend! The pizza is the perfect shape and just the right amount for the average person. I do wish the apple pie slices were a little bigger, because they were just so great! The staff here is incredibly rude. When we walked into the restaurant, they were in the back eating pizza. Us and another gentlemen were waiting by the counter while they had yummy time in the back. After 5 minutes of us yelling asking for help they finally came out. One worker was sincerely sorry and gave us free ranch. Had Pie Five for the first time tonight with my church group after hearing great stories about it and it lived up to the hype! I love how you can either build your own pizza or select a pizza from the menu. I got the chicken BBQ pizza and it was a masterpiece. At 1:15pm I checked the website online and at 1:31pm I called to order and was told that the deals were not available over the phone, I asked how to add some of the extra flavorings that were offered and placed an order online at 1:40pm. I ordered a family deal, 2 large pizzas and the bread. The pizza was supposed to be pan crust. We place our order and it said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We live roughly 15 minutes away. So we were on our way when we received a phone call in the car asking us if we would be ok with traditional Italian crust because they did not have any dough. I proceeded to ask when the dough would be made and they said they do not make it until 3:00pm. We asked, when they ran out of the dough and they said they don't start making it until make it until 3pm. We cancelled our order as the staff was not helpful when we asked for a service due to our order being unable to be fulfilled... they had to ask the manager and didn't put us on hold so we could here them complaining about us for their own mistake... the manager then got on the phone to let us know that our order would be refunded in a few minutes. We did not receive the order cancellation email until 3:41pm. read more

Okay, after speaking with the district manager and receiving assurances of positive changes, I have tried this location out a few more times since my previous review. Wow, I've rarely seen a business do a complete 180 (in a positive manner) so quickly! Seriously, it's like night and day! The employees have so much more energy and seem infinitely more friendly. They also do a tremendous job of keeping up with a crowded restaurant. They have been adequately stocked with inventory to meet all customers' needs and the food tastes great! I don't know if they hired 10 more people, changed managers, policies or all of the above. Whatever they did...WORKS! I am happy to update this review and can honestly say that this is now one of my absolute favorite Pie Five locations! I would now happily recommend it to others and have done so. I loved *a different restaurant with the same concept* by my old place in CA, so I took my mom here when she was in town. I didn't even make it through the line and I was disappointed - there was a sign advertising chicken sausage. I was excited, and ordered it. I was told "we don't have that anymore". No apology, no further comments, no comments about why there were 4 signs throughout the line advertising it that wasn't take down. The preper seemed soooo unenthusiastic about making my pizza, and it wasn't even that busy at the time. I'm so glad I was finally able to stop in to this place after being curious about it for so long now! Pizza is prooooooobably one of my top 3 favorite foods ever so it's easy for me to be disappointed when my pie just doesn't deliver what I was hoping for. Well, I definitely didn't leave this place upset...slightly heavier yes, upset no :) You go through a line like a sub shop, selecting each variety of topping and condiments (which they aren't shy with either!) and then once completed it goes through a speedy oven that results in a nice crispy personal sized pizza! The thin crust is amazing, as well as the sauce and fresh toppings. Maybe I also had a piece of the brownie pizza....maybe not? Similar to Blaze, but not thin crust or fire blazed, but same concept. I prefer this place to Blaze because I don't like thin crust pizza. I had to ask the employee multiple times to put more toppings on my pizza. He literally gave me 4 pieces of spinach, no joke. I understand trying to save money as a company, but come on. I've been to Pie Five twice now. The first time was as a bit of a skeptic. After all, how good could 5 minute pizza created Subway Sandwich style line be? The answer? Awesome! Our first visit found the spicy marinara to be too spicy for our taste, and my family likes spicy! It was maybe a fluke as the 2nd time I had it mixed with the regular and it was not spicy. This has to be one of the best pizza joints in Frisco, if not all of the metroplex. The dough is divine, their toppings look really good and their suggested pies are spot on. I had the chicken carbonara and it was so good, I started to miss my pie when I was only half way done. I almost ordered a second one. Decor, seating, vibe and free Wi-Fi were wonderful.
