So the one in Prosper was closed. I have no clue why but I wanted Pie Five. I love the small personal pizzas. Yes they can get pricey but I can add all the toppings I want on them. Make sure you get the magic dust. I have no idea what it is but it always makes my pizzas better. We were greeted with a smile. The two young adults were efficient. They were making pizzas, cleaning the establishment, and providing customer service. I am giving the restaurant a four. I enjoyed the overall experience. However, sometimes people don't think before they talk. I stated I wanted all the veggies, then I said everything in this area but pineapples. The young man under his breath said well pineapples aren't veggies. No!!! Really! Neither are tomatoes, olives nor peppers but you knew to put them on there. That just rubbed me the wrong way. VERY good experience at Pie Five Pizza! Came into town to visit family and we picked up pizza from Pie Five for dinner. This place is perfect because it's like a Chipotle for pizza lovers. Come in, pick your pizza size and crust, then just go down the line, choosing your sauce and toppings. We came in and ordered three personal pan sizes all with different crusts and toppings. There really wasn't anyone dining in, just one group of two. Due to COVID and social distancing, there were tables with signs stating certain tables were unavailable. I ordered an artisan thin crust with alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, spinach, and chicken. SO GOOD! The crust was perfect: thin enough for a crunch but perfect enough that it was slightly dough-y. I believe they have a $5 special on Mondays. The price is only a few extra dollars originally but you can't beat a $5 pizza! Smelled so good from the street and had such high. hopes. But definitely between the service and the taste, not a returning fan. We came in here for the first time. Loved all the options on the menu as the default but that you could build your own. Staff was friendly but they couldn't have been working at a more slower than a snail speed. Placing one item on top at a time, then another tomato, then another. It was like waiting for the sloth at the DMV to process paperwork. We both just looked at each other like ok, lets move along here. One both of our pizzas got into the oven we went to pay. No one was there, waiting a few more minutes, no one was there. Keep in mind there was about 5 people behind the counter, but no one wanted to check us out. Another few minutes pass and it would have been great to have gotten a table and our drinks but here we are, still standing at the register to pay. The kids behind the counter weren't really helpful in any way. Now to the taste. Honestly, just very bland. It could have been the ones we got, but a little disappointed I must say. We had the Arthenian, which once it came out of the oven, all of the veggies were so dried up it just tasted a few days old. And since it has no sauce on it, its really just bread, cheese and dried up veggies. Also did the Margherita and again, flavor was less than impressive. I don't know if the kid didnt put enough garlic on it or what, but it was super bland. And again, no sauce, just cheese, olive oil and 6 cherry tomato halves. Both of them felt like something was missing to where we only ate a few pieces then passed on the rest. Could have been the thin crust, could have been the flavors, who knows. Pie Five Pie Five is different from other pizza chains like dominos and Papa Johns. They have unique pizzas on the menu that you can order. Pizzas are the Five Star, Chicken Pesto, and Margarita. The margarita was ok it had a mostly had a cheesy flavor and red tomatoes. The Five Star had the most ingredients and the flavors matched well together. It includes a good amount of veg and meat with cheddar cheese. The chicken pesto was my favorite because of the rich pesto flavor. Another thing that makes Pie five different is their crust. We ordered 3 different crusts from the thinnest to the thickest crust. The thin crust was not crunchy or crispy on the bottom this was the thinnest crust on the menu. Usually the thinnest crust is crispy on the bottom but pie Five isn't. The only difference between the thinnest and thickest crust is that there is more crust for the thicker one. Overall this place feels healthier then other pizza chains. Their is less greaser then pizzas usually; and have custom made pizzas for you. The pizza taste healthy because it's fresher and less greasy. They also have something called magic dust which is a special pizza seasoning that they only have there which enhances the flavoring the pizza. read more

Tried online ordering today, Monday. One of the three pizzas I ordered were ready, kind of defeats the purpose of ordering ahead of time, They said they had a dough problem.... no big deal, then I noticed the signs for Monday...any pizza 5.55 each... I was charged the regular price of 7.49 when I ordered the pizza online....asked the pizza cutter, he didn't know how to correct it. Again not going to break the bank, but you should be able to have this corrected on your website. Overall great, fresh, quick pizza ! I will keep coming back... but you owe me one! Vegan Friendly Review: This review is based off of a delivery order. I was in Frisco for the week for business and was in the mood for pizza after a long day of meetings. I saw Pie Five Pizza Co come up on Yelp and I was glad to see they offered vegan options. I ordered an individual pizza with vegan cheese and Beyond Sausage. The order took awhile to leave the restaurant as I saw the delivery driver was at the restaurant for awhile. The pizza I must say was amazing. I think the key is to make sure you get the sodium packed meats and at the end, add their magic dust and oregano. The spinach came out weirdly crispy, kind of like a veggie chip. I loved the mozzarella cheese and how every bite was like eating a fried mozzarella stick. I'd say the ratio of toppings, crust, and sauce was perfect. Customer service started out great with a young lady who built my pizza and made good recommendations. Then it ended poorly with a young boy who thought I got a chicken carbonara but there clearly was no chicken on my pizza, and his monotonous tone was just not cool. I hate it when I go somewhere and the staff has a "I couldn't care less" attitude. Thankfully, the pizza was good, so I shrugged it off. What an ingenious concept!It's sort of like Subway; you choose your crust (reg or thin, I prefer thin), marinara sauce & toppings, they put it in the oven for you, and you pay. It's cafeteria-style so you have to go through a line. You can also add a side salad and drink for a little bit more. I like to get the caesar side salad with black olives and dressing combined. We like this place because each pizza is a personal size and we can put different toppings on each of our pizzas. I like a bit more veggies, while he prefers to load up on meats. BUT this is the worst location I've ever been to. - The prices are DRASTICALLY higher compared to other locations. Two one-topping person pizzas and a single drink cost us right over $30. And there are signs everywhere stating that every additional topping is $.75. Ranch? Also extra. Unacceptable in Texas. Even the employee cashing us out apologized for the unexpected high cost. You could tell they knew were were being overcharged. - The employees look dead behind the eyes and move at a sloths pace. It's incredible. It took about seven minutes to make two 1-topping pizzas, by two people. - It's clear they skimp out on the amount of dough they use per pie. My one-topping pizza's crust was so thin you had to fold it over twice just to be able to pick it up. It was kinda gross. - You can usually tell the quality of the meats based on how much fat/grease renders out when baking. I had to drain my pizza of the grease and even then it was all I could taste. Didn't help the thin (and now soggy) puddle of crust. Save your money. Go somewhere else. You can tell this business/management doesn't care. read more

This is my favorite make-it-yourself pizza joint because of good prices and quality food. Sometimes there can be long lines but they usually don't hold you up too long. I think a lot of reviewers here fail to realize that they are coming into a fast food restaurant where the workers are teenagers being paid minimum wage, and not 5 star chefs.
