Terrible service tonight! Most of the staff was cleaning up. Got there around 9:45, they close at 10:30. They only had 2 female employees working to prepare the food. They had no sense of urgency at all.. they seemed lost, like they didn't know how to make the bowls. Management kept coming up to one of the female employees and was giving her directions for after close.. which distracted her from prepping food. The 2 female employees were having small talk amongst each other like there wasn't a line of people waiting. FINALLY when she gets to me to add sauce she's like what sauce do you want? This place was so delicious! Its set up like a Chipotle or Snappy Salads where you go down the line and choose the ingredients tou want in your bowl. Cava is usually my favorite but this location was disappointing; the cinnamon pita chips were cold and soggy; and the fresh made batch of regular pita chips had a really bad after taste. Maybe it's old oil ? It's gross . The chicken shawarma was stringy and flavorless. Among other issues it seems this location is phoning it in. I absolutely love CAVA, but this location is lacking in a few areas. Customer service - Not unfriendly per se, but no one here seems to be very jazzed about having to be at work. Like, always. I feel like I'm annoying them by wanting to give them business. Products - Often out of items, lemonades and teas are often empty. Mobile orders - I typically order ahead of time on the app, but this location never seems to have my order ready even when I'm running behind. My order today should have been ready at 2:15pm, I arrived at 2:25pm. They hadn't even started it. This location is terrible. This is my second time ordering here in a span of a few months and it's always a zoo. They are always out of chicken or steak. They never have any free pitas to go with bowls. When I asked if they could substitute for hot pitas. Oh, we can't do that. However there is a bunch just on display and no one is buying them. To make matters worse, they can't even scan your app or put your phone number in before payments to earn your rewards. I am not sure if it's the manager or owner but they need to work on service and having adequate amount of food. The lines were long and moving way too slow. This location is sooo accommodating! I don't know what y'all are taking about but every time I order from here they always have my food ready and complete! Today was a little different. I decided to walk in LAST minute for a savory bowl and they could've just made it a terrible experience but they didn't! The entire Sunday night shift was so kind despite being busy all evening! I love their Harissa bowl and pita chips. Cava's concept is similar to Chipotle such as build your own/customize it, but with more flavor. You and add or substitute any item you don't and the portion sizes are generous. I recommend not stopping in closer to close, as the may be out of majority of their items. Ok so I'll first say, CAVA as a brand/chain is my absolute fave!!!! I live near this location so this is where I go. I was recently in California and went to a location there and service seems to be the same no matter what city. I read some reviews regarding portions and I have to say- yes the portions are not consistent. Does this stop me from going? Hell naw! Lol I LOVE CAVA!!!! They are usually accommodating to every crazy request (I've heard/seen plenty at this W Frisco location). They change their menu up which is great- unless you like the SAME thing every time. The food is always fresh. I customize my bowl every time and no one has ever rolled their eyes at me. One time they were out of falafel which blew my mind, but whatever I got over it. Again, the food is fresh and tastes incredible. I took one star off for inconsistency and yes, service is not ChikFilA standards, but we ARE in W Frisco, no one here wants to work. Food and experience is good in general. Steak and chicken isn't cut small enough. Steak is chewy. They don't have any knives. Asked for a knife, and was told the GM didn't think any of their food needed to be cut, so he stopped ordering knives. But chewy steak and large pieces need to be cut, especially for kids. Either train employees to cut meat much smaller or offer knives. My kids (ages 5, 6 and 8) could barely eat any of the steak because bites were too big and chewy, and I couldn't eat several bites either. Ended up having to throw out most of it. When you get knives back or make the cuts smaller, let me know and I'll visit again. Until then, I'll go elsewhere. read more
