This was my first time trying this location. I wasn't happy with the experience. I am not impressed with this location. I am not impressed with the pizza. I am not impressed with the quality. I am not impressed with the Sangria. I am not impressed with the service. Food was ok part of my pizza was burnt. Berry Sangria wasn't very berry. Customer Service was lacking it was so lack luster. It was truly disappointing and made me sad. Thank goodness I know Grimaldi' s can do better. I won't be coming back here. Please improve on service and friendliness and QUALITY. Walked in with my family waited 10 minutes. People just walked by us no high by no greetings from the employees no great customer service. They all look like they hate their life and their job and everything was dirty. They made a whole bunch of people wait to be seated and did not even look at us so say hi or how are you or anything like that? They made us stand and wait. Horrible very depressing. read more

Let me start by saying I'm not a fully committed Grimaldi's fan. To me the pizza is never great. Today's was a miss but,I think it's more a personal preference. There are a lot of people that like Grimaldi's. I do like their Cesear Salad. It's always good and today's was delicious even after a ride home delay. Not wanting to hang out with the holiday mobs,I got a small white Pizza to go with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Something about the way they slice their meat toppings doesn't appeal to me. Wow I had the mediterranean salad. I've had it many times, but it was a stand out today. I was talking to the waiter and he said they fresh cut the vegetables every morning and you can taste it the tomatoes the cucumbers all the vegetables were just fresh and they tasted so good. The chicken I added was delicious slightly smoky perfectly cooked husband enjoyed his pizza . This is our first time at the Plano location. The salad was just delicious and the amount of dressing was perfect . I noticed the cook had his hair tied back his appearance was professional and clean . I love Grimaldi's pizza and have been going to this location and Allen for many years. However, this location continues to go downhill. The last 3 times I've been my order has been wrong. Most recently I was there on July 12th. I was sat at a filthy table that had good all over the table cloth. We got up to move to another table and found 3 others set for new customers with dirty table cloths. We then ordered our pizza. We even provided a typed list of the toppings we wanted because they have so much trouble getting it right. The pizza arrived without the chicken. After waiting for our waitress to make an appearance I advised her of the mistake. She said "I'll get you some" and then proceeded to to chat and joke with the kitchen staff for 10 mins. When she finally came back she had a bowl of gross wet soggy chicken and said we could add it to the pizza. I don't pay this much for a pizza I have to make myself. I initially asked them to remake the pizza but then ultimately decided to just pay for my drinks and go to another restaurant for dinner. At no time did a manager come by. The waitress seemed very miffed that we weren't happy with a bowl of chicken. Unfortunately this may be my last straw with this place. read more

Unfortunately, I get why this spot doesn't have the best reviews. From the couple of times I have been, the pizza is usually not as fresh and the service is a little distant. I remember I arrived and it took almost 10 min to get a menu and take my order. My all time favorite Grimaldis is in San Antonio where the pizza and service is top tier. Had a great experience yesterday. My daughter wanted pizza and we were close to this location so we went in.Kasey K was flawless. Hospitality like I hadn't had in a long time anywhere. Went out for a Friday Pizza night at Grimaldi's. From the moment we entered the staff took great care of us, with them even bringing my 3 year old son a piece of dough. The atmosphere was perfect for a family that captured that classic nostalgia pizza vibe. The pizza was amazing we started off getting a large margarita and pepperoni and hot honey pizza. The pizza was very good, with the sauce having a lot of flavor to it, and the pepperoni with the hot honey was some of the best tasting pepperoni I've had, the dough was good, with my only comment that being that it could be a bit crispier, but it still had that perfect char, that all the classic pizza's have. My family of 5 devoured the 2 pizzas and we immediately asked for another pepperoni with hot honey, which only lasted a couple minutes before we ate that all up. Our waitress was amazing making sure our drinks were refilled and making sure we were having a great experience. Love the Ambiance here in this restaurant! Great music with a few TVs for the sports fans. View to the kitchen to see the hand tossed crust and prep is a cool feature. Can't go wrong with that! Ice tea was made right as well. Not just colored water but a real taste of tea! I ordered the Don and had shrooms added since it was an easier way to build a pizza. So happy that a Grimaldi's opened relatively close to us. We decided to stop by for lunch out of the blue because we hadn't eaten at the new location yet. Stepping inside is pretty much like stepping into the others: decor is the same, music is the same, and layout is pretty much the same. I will say this one seemed to have its music on fairly loud. My SO and I had a hard time talking and we were sitting across from each other. The place settings were on the table when we arrived. I quickly noticed that the napkin for mine was stained or something. When the server came by to get our order, she promptly replaced it with a new, clean set. We ordered two pizzas, 12" pepperoni for my SO and a 12" Margherita for myself. They both came out perfect. The bottoms were done to the ideal darkness, and the crust had that distinct chew. Of course, the mozzarella and sauce just brings it on home. It was a home run for us. Overall, our experience was great. Our server was super nice and attentive and the food came out exactly how we wanted. Watched two other servers working on their dance moves, and the manager was obviously not involved in managing - seemed very lethargic. Ordered takeout. Arrived 20 minutes later after them telling me it would be ready in 15 minutes. I show up and it's raining outside with nowhere to park and I run inside and ask where the order is. She takes my payment first and then looks for my order and doesn't see it and doesn't even tell me what's going on. I ask about where my pizza is she says let me go. Check comes back and says it'll be ready in a few minutes. I had to go re-park because I was illegally parked with no parking available so I came back in after five minutes and she said let me check on it again. After some back-and-forth, I figured out that my pizza was somehow gone and they had to remake it. They said it would be another 10 minutes. So they hurriedly made my pizza. I sat there for another 15 minutes. What's the point of takeout if you can't get the order right? The most frustrating part was they didn't even offer anything for the inconvenience of sitting there for 25 to 30 minutes waiting for my takeout order. For a soft opening, I'd say this was a very solid experience. Had the spinach salad for starters. The small is pretty generous and very much sharable by 2 people. The large is HUGE and is sharable by 4 people, maybe 3 if you like a ton of side salad. Had The Don on 1st visit and The Brooklyn 2nd. The Don was very good but more like a typical meat lovers kind of za. Brooklyn was better, especially because we subbed grilled chicken instead of sausage. YUM. Definitely recommended. Visit 1 was cannole for dessert. YUMTASTIC. Very very good - admittedly coming from someone who can't remember the last time he had a cannole, so I'm no connoisseur. Visit 2 we shared the tiramisu, and it was solid. Not the best I've had locally, but it was delicious fo sho. Between the 2, I'd probably pick the cannole. I order online Grimaldi's pizza to be lite cooked after 2 times before considerable burnt. This pizza was taken home completely not edible a 3rd time and when called to ask why burnt, the manager laughed and offered me a pizza if I'm ever in the area. If you never had coal fired oven pizza, the crust is thin, slightly burnt from coal fire brick oven which gives a unique delicious tasting crust (the edges of the crust should be chard) We ordered, 'The Don' their traditional pizza, top with spicy Italian sausage, meatballs, and pepperoni. We came to this location for the 1st time. Its located at the shops of legacy. We ordered a cheese, a pepperoni and the prosciutto/arugula pizzas. The latter was my favorite. But the pizzas were delicious. Thin crust, cooked well and very flavorful and tasty. We had enough to take home for the next day. We also ordered a bottle of Italian pinot noir and it was pretty decent. The place looks nice inside. They have an open kitchen style where you can see the brick oven and everyone preparing the food. Nice lighting as well. But what we enjoyed the most was our waiter Jaden (I believe is his name). He was so funny and attentive. He did an excellent job! Shoutout to Jaden! Good pizza, terrbible service. We were there this past Sunday and the place was fairly empty. We waited 5-6 minutes to get sat, then waited at the table for another 10 for a server to come by. He was nice when he finally came by, took our drink order and food order. Drinks took about 20 minutes. My son's pizza came out first then ours about 15 minutes later. We wanted another round of drinks but we couldn't find our server. I finally asked the hostess to find him. Same result, 20 minutes to get another round. Bill as $113 for two pizzas, an app, and four drinks, so about what I'd expect, but there are other pizza places with as good pizza and way better service. read more
