    Baklava

Absolutely love this place! Went here with some friends and had an awesome dining experience. The food, beverages, and dessert were excellent... I mean really, really good. We enjoyed some delicious appetizers, like the Stuffed Dates and Turkish Feta & Olives. For the entree, we shared the Mixed Grill plate w/ the Lamb Shish, which was mouthwatering, a great selection of meats, and plenty enough to share between four(4) guests. We had to ask for the Chef, to compliment him personally, and he was an absolute delight to meet. He personally recommended the Baklava along with another dessert that had us licking the plate! This place is certainly an authentic Mediterranean dining experience. Can't wait to return!!

This is fridge cold bread that they gave me .. where as they give a different bread if you dine in !

The Frisco location of Selda was a huge disappointment. We ordered food to go and were given a completely different type of bread than what they serve in-house, and it was cold as if it had just come out of the fridge. When we called to address the issue, they told us, "How do you expect the kitchen to give warm bread?" When my wife asked for the manager, they then blamed the kitchen and admitted it was their mistake. No accountability or concern for the customer. This location clearly cares more about taking your money than food quality or customer service. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. We've been to Selda in Dallas many times and always had an amazing experience with great hospitality. Unfortunately, the Frisco location does not come close.

The Selda in Addison was so good that we were stoked to try the one in Frisco. Let's just say I would make the drive to the Addison location because the service and food weren't nearly as great. For my dish, I asked for sautéed veggies to replace the bean salad. The server stopped by and asked if that's what I wanted so I confirmed. When it came out, I received the bean salad and veggies instead of rice and veggies. I told the server and he gave me an attitude saying he asked me exactly what I wanted. That was not a pleasant encounter. Luckily, I enjoyed the lamb shank. Unfortunately, the beef shish and meatballs were tough. We tried the pistachio dessert and didn't like it so left more than half of it.

Selda has firmly earned its place as my go-to -- whether I'm dining in or ordering delivery, the consistency is impressive every single time. The kitchen clearly prioritizes freshness and balance, with flavors that feel both vibrant and intentional. The grilled branzino remains my standout favorite -- beautifully cooked with clean, delicate flavor that lets the quality of the fish shine. On a recent visit, the Turkish meatballs delivered rich, comforting depth, while the buttery garlic shrimp bordered on indulgent in the best way possible. It's rare to find a restaurant that executes this well across dine-in and delivery, but Selda continues to raise the bar.

Selda is a chic Mediterranean restaurant with personable servers and menu of Turkish classics. Between the four of us, we each got a dish- the chicken adana, chicken shish and a urfa kebab. The meat is served on a bed of rice and a bean salad that's refreshing to cut through the meat. Chicken was super succulent and juicy, pairing well with flavorful rice. We personally prefer our chicken with some kind of dip so got the tzatziki and baba ghanous. With that, the chicken was so juicy. They also serve complimentary bread which is a bonus. On the pricier end for sure, great for a nice dinner out!

My mother-in-law's friend told her about Selda and she excitedly told me that they have gluten-free options as I have Celiac disease. We tried making reservations by calling multiple times and we couldn't get through to someone for a party of 5. We ended up just walking in for dinner the next day and were seated immediately despite the restaurant being very busy. This restaurant has a marked menu for gluten-free and vegetarian options. I asked the waitress if she knew if they cooked all the fried foods together, which would mean many items aren't actually gluten-free. At first she said everything was cooked together she thought but she would ask the kitchen staff. She came back and said they used a dedicated fryer. Hopefully that's true. If wish the wait staff was trained to answer questions about that issue. The complimentary bread isn't gluten-free but came with a yogurt cheese (probably labneh) that my in-laws really liked. Service was very fast with our food. I tried: - Fried Cauliflower $14.49 - Halloumi $14.49 - Lamb shank (my order) $27.95 - Beef shish (husband's order) $24.84 - Turkish coffee $5.18 The cauliflower looks small but it was actually a big family style bowl. It was incredible and my favorite thing that we ordered. !!! Why this isn't a 4 star review !!! One thing that I definitely didn't like is that the menu has whole numbers for their pricing but the receipt has cents added onto the price. They are rounding down the menu price while charging more than the listed menu price. I am pretty sure it's illegal to list something as "$1" but then on the receipt charge $1.99, $1.49 or even $1.09. Visited August 2025

Much need mediteranean spot in the area! Husband and I stopped by for a weekday lunch a few days after they opened. It's beautiful inside. We were served fresh bread and a dip to accompany it. We started with the liver cubes which I have been craving since leaving NY (definitely harder to find in the Dallas area). We got a kebab place with beef and lamb. Cooked perfectly. I will only say the rice that came with it was a bit flavorless but everything else is so tasty that we didn't even eat much of the rice. After, we were served delicious baklava and turkish tea - a nice ending to a delicious meal.

Unfortunately, the service and the quality of the food for the cost has gone down at this location. We were very impressed when we first visited, but this last visit was less than stellar and sadly we won't be back.

Amazing service, excellent food. Had a date night with the wife, and were craving some Mediterranean food, and this place just recently opened up, so we decided to try it out, best decision ever, we started out with the yummy flat bread and Labneh, the bread was fresh and piping hot and the Labnej fresh. Then we proceeded with the Urfa beef, and the beef shish both came with a tasty bean salad, then to finish the wonderful meal off, we both had some delicious Turkish coffee with yummy Knafeh, a sweet cheesy dessert, great date night, can't wait to come back. Our server was Super Awesome!!

Selda brings charm with its welcoming ambiance and genuinely friendly servers -- a highlight that makes the experience feel warm and personal. The food? It's good. Not groundbreaking, but solid. However, the pricing raises eyebrows -- especially the shrimp appetizer: 6 modest pieces for $18. That's a stretch, even for Frisco standards. Bottom line: If you're going for the vibe and service, you'll enjoy yourself. Just know you're paying a premium -- and not always for portion size.

The food. Everything we ordered was super salty or slightly undercooked. We expected better as it's a more upscale looking place and pricey.

They also boast all the ingredients being locally sourced, which is also a fun concept. Note that parking can be limited, and you may need to park along the roads alongside. Our waitress was kind and welcoming for Mother's Day. We tried the chicken & spaetzel for my mom and the 1843 filet for myself. My steak was cooked well, I just wish it had been a bit more flavorful. My mom really liked her dish and I did as well. The chicken in particular was lovely. It did take us over 45 min to receive our food, but I attribute that to the busy holiday. The choco pie was huge and worth the amount I paid for it. The crust was prone to falling apart though so be prepared to make a mess! Speaking on my memories from 2 years ago, I'd gotten chicken piccata which had a sauce similar to the spaetzel. It was much better this time around, and didn't have red pepper, which I strongly dislike. The concept was very similar. At the time, my partner had gotten a meat pie of some kind that he still raves about. This was winter 2024, so not the same menu. Overall, it's a cute place and a cute concept. Note that A) this is not the place for someone picky, as the dishes are a bit experimental, and B) the prices are a bit above average. More of a special occasion type of place. Make sure you make a reservation!

I was surprised, but they offer Happy Hour even on weekends! Both my hubby and I chose from the Happy Hour menu - a Pinot Noir for him and the Chardonnay for me. I was bummed, the Chard wasn't great and I wasn't planning on having more than a glass. Next time I'd skip the Happy Hour wines and just choose a better wine off the menu. Food. We came here for date night and I was starving. I was surprised to see such a small and limited menu. I think they're limiting themselves by only offering sharable items or single items at such a steep price. I started with Juan's Tostada for myself and my hubby chose the Notorious P.I.G.. The tostada was delicious! Fresh and tasty, but I was still hungry. But for $19 there was no way I was ordering another one. I'm sorry but $40 for two single appetizers is insane, plus I figured I might still be hungry. So instead I ordered the Notorious P.I.G. with no cheese (I'm dairy free). It was good, but not amazing. Half the pizza was burned and the sauce was barely there. As I looked around there was a group of women having a birthday dinner and one other couple who arrived on a date. The couple split a meat + cheese board and left. The birthday party nursed their glasses of wine the entire time we were there. For my disappointment wine, my hubby's two glasses of wine, our two pizzas and my tostada we spent $87 before tip. For a mediocre offering that was insanely expensive. My girlfriends meet up frequently to catch up and I would suggest this place if it was half the cost, but we can go to plenty of places nearby and get a better glass of wine with more affordable food options instead.
