Wow--when you're compelled to write a review just hours after visiting, you know you've stumbled…read moreupon something truly special. I found The Sandwich Spot on Yelp after searching for Dutch Crunch bread. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of fresh vegetables and warm, crusty bread--if happiness had a scent, this would be it! Their sandwich selection is impressive. I originally drove an hour (one-way!) just for the Dutch Crunch rolls. Then I walked in, got greeted with that heavenly smell and super friendly vibes, and there was no way I was leaving without a sandwich. I went with the BLT, and let me tell you: it was loaded with crispy bacon and absolutely delicious. The place is spotless, including the restroom, and the customer service is top-notch. I called ahead to check on the Dutch Crunch rolls, and you could literally hear the smile through the phone. Jeff is fantastic, and the entire team was warm, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative--thanking me multiple times for stopping by. I highly recommend The Sandwich Spot. I'd will be making the drive again and again for the food and the friendly service.

Meh. I really wanted to love this place, but it comes down to the food. The sandwich was good. Not…read moregreat. Good. For $16.99 for one sandwich, I expect it to be packed with ingredients. At a minimum, I expect it to have at least as much filling as Jersey Mike's sandwiches. It certainly doesn't. Additionally, Jersey Mike's makes a better sandwich. They just do. Bottom line: very nice people are running this place without question. However, I likely won't return. It's just not worth the significant premium they charge for their sandwiches, when you can go to Jersey Mike's, get a much bigger and better sandwich, for a much better price. The portion size was simply unacceptable for the price. I do wish them the best of luck, as they are clearly good people.

Both were large, fresh, and super delish. I had gone to a similar place (rhymes with Manera) a few times and always leave annoyed to pay almost $40 for 2 sandwiches & drinks for just meh food. I hate to dog on any place but McAlisters will now be my go to for a quick lunch sandwich! I also got the tea and the strawberry lemonade which were both great as well!! The staff had my food out to the curbside spot quickly and they were very friendly. So all around a good experience.

The food is fine, your standard McAlister's Deli fare. The service is slow, but good. When we came…read moreit seemed understaffed, but there were also only a couple people dining in, which is so different than the good ole days when McAlister's had lines out the door! The manager did a lot of the work prepping the food, and putting together our order. He was energetic and kind. I'll give him that. What sucked though, was we felt like we couldn't eat in the dining room; there was a weird sour smell that was slowly stealing our appetites as we stood and waited for our order. We asked for our order to go and ended up eating it in the car. We were between basketball tournament games so we couldn't go home, what can you do! Seemed like a bummer to not feel able to use one of the many available seats in the room, I promise, the smell was a huge deterrent. If they fix that, they should be golden!

My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick.
