Was my first time trying a Pie Five. I was impressed. You pick your crust, sauce, cheese and toppings, and its all one price. It is great for one person. You can get the pizza, a salad and drink for 9.99. Pretty cool for one person, or two people that don't like the same stuff on their pizza. I can see that it would not be ideal for families who could order a few larges to feed the whole crew vs getting each person their own small pizza. With that being said, the crust and toppings tasted fresh, and good. I will be going back for sure! read more

Pizza tastes good and the concept is great! Cleanliness and good hygiene is another story though. The staff does seem to know what is the reason of having gloves on. The person that prepared our pizza, during his down time, came out from behind the food counter and started checking on the trash bins and pushing cups, napkins etc further into the bin to make space. All this with the same gloves, then went back behind the counter with the same gloves helped with pizza dough. Then when customers came in, he went back to prepare pizza - always with the same gloves. It seems that they use the gloves to keep their bare hands clean and in order not to have to wash their hands after handling food. A new set of gloves needs to be put on each time the food preparation staff leaves their food preparation area and comes back. Hand hygiene 101... come on people! read more

Oh subway of pizza how you make my heart sing! Perfect serving size for an individual for lunch or dinner. Usually if I get it for lunch I have dinner too lol. Great price for adding any amount of fresh ingredients. My favorite part of the whole thing is the salad bowl that you can eat! How amazing is that?!?! Also did I mention that this place is FAST! Every time we go here, the staff is always happy and smiling. I have to point how how careful they are for people that need gluten free pizza. The staff will always change gloves when handling the gluten free pizzas. Also after the pizza is made, the staff always uses a separate pizza cutter to slice the pizza from the regular bread ones. The care and concern they take is excellent. The pizza here is also the best around. No other place compared to the gluten free ones as well as the actual normal pies. I've tried them all. The ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. There is never old ingredients used. The point system is also awesome to rack up and get a free pizza. The atmosphere is cheerful and bright. The cook areas are kept clean. The dining area is always kept clean. This is all important to me. I highly recommend this location. Clean, good food, friendly service, happy tummies! read more

The pizza's are average and it's nice they have quite a few toppings that they don't charge you extra for. I usually do the combo with a salad and drink which they have really good peach ginger tea. The salad's aren't anything to write home about the salad bread bowl is small and you get maybe 10 small pieces of romaine lettuce, but it's a pizza place what do you expect. It's not my favorite pizza place, but it definitely gets the job done when i'm craving pizza fast. read more

I have never been to a pizza place like this before and was very pleasantly surprised at how great of an experience a custom order pizza restaurant can be. For less than $10 you can have a made to order personal pizza with unlimited toppings, a very yummy side salad and drink. We all really enjoyed our pizzas, and it is byob so will definitely bring a bottle of wine with us next time. My only complaint was that the seating was a bit limited when we were there, however it was during the weekend lunch hour. read more

First time eating here and was pleasantly surprised. $6.79 for a pie, even with toppings that would be considered "premium" at a lot of other places. My daughter got the BBQ chicken and I made my own (spinach, mushrooms, kalamata olives, Italian sausage and caramelized onions, yum). Super fast, and tasted good! Mid afternoon on a rainy day and they has a constant stream of customers. They could improve on cleanliness tho, as many of the tables were not being picked up or wiped down. Been here few times. I like it better when it's not crowded. I am a vegetarian and I found it uncomfortable to see the people who make the pizza handle veggies and meat with the same glove. When it was not crowded I was able to request them to wipe the pizza cutter clean etc. I couldn't do so when people were waiting behind me. And the staff was more than willing to help out. Thanks to the staff! They are great! I sent a feedback with my suggestion to their corporate but didn't even get an acknowledgment email back. Today was my first experience with Pie Five, I got the Buffalo Chicken Pizza which was GREAT, had such great flavor and then also ordered cinnamon sticks. The cinnamon sticks were left behind and being 7 months pregnant.. when you look forward to something you're REALLY looking forward to something.. so needless to say I was a little upset. Jason, the GM went above and beyond to make sure that this Mama and her baby got their cinnamon sticks and let me just tell you I am so so thankful! My first experience will be my last. I ordered online, and expected a pizza full of meat (3 different meats were listed on the menu item). It might have had 2 oz. of meat on it, but barely. The extra Roma tomatoes I ordered wound up being cherry tomatoes. To top off the toppings, the pizza was undercooked. I wanted it to be good, because I'm gluten free and they have a gluten free crust; but it's just not. A thing I'm picky about, that may not matter to everyone: None of the workers were over 25 years old; and at a food joint that just begs for mischief. read more

We used to love this place, but over the last few months, it has gone way downhill to the point that my family and I will no longer be returning. As others have explained, it's like Chipotle for pizza. The last 3 times we've been here, the pizzas have been constructed terribly- toppings not evenly spread out, wayyy too much cheese, and mistakes across the board for some of their most popular suggestions. The staff seems more interested in socializing and figuring out their after work plans than actually making decent pizzas. I am truly not a complainer, but I had to wait for at least two minutes at the register while two employees finished up their personal conversation before even acknowledging that I was standing there (um, you just made my pizza and we made eye contact during your convo, you know I'm standing here waiting to pay). I wouldn't have even minded waiting for their conversation to continue if they had just acknowledged me. Oh, and then after I paid, I got a pizza that was made wrong, and then they gave my pizza to another guest and I was left with the choice of eating that guest's pizza or going through having them struggle through making another pizza. The only reason I gave this two stars is because when the pizzas are made correctly, they are quite good. Just too many other issues, and too much competition in the pizza space. I've been here a couple of times. The service is great, although I have to admit I've only been there at off-peak hours, so I'm not sure how long the wait is at, say, the height of the lunch crowd. The pizza is the perfect size for a good lunch. I've tried the wheat crust and the thin crust, and both of them are great. I like being able to choose my toppings (my favorite combo is peppers + caramelized onions + grilled chicken, with a bit of pesto sauce on top). On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is the best pizza I've ever had, I'd give this an 8. It's a little on the pricey side given the size (about $7 for a 10" or so pizza), but they have a loyalty program that gives coupons (buy one get one free, sometimes!) and free pizzas.
