This was impressive. It seemed like a pretty standard pizza place, but I actually found myself wishing I had more after devouring more than half a pizza. We went with a build your own, with sausage, onion, and green pepper on thin crust. TIP: get the garlic butter crust and the hot honey drizzle! It's counter order style (which is not entirely clear when you walk in), so you place the order up at the bar and grab a table number. Also, there are options "by the slice" if you come alone and don't feel brave enough to tackle a whole pizza (you may regret not getting one though!). I've been to many pizza places on the north side of DFW, and I honestly have to say this is certainly up there with the best ones. If you're in the area, or maybe even if you're not, give this spot a try! read more

I've tried a lot of gluten-free pizzas, some better than others and this place did not disappoint. I haven't ever seen a restaurant offer both thick and thin crust, so I was definitely excited about the thick crust and it was really good. Staff was super friendly as well and they had a nice patio area to sit out on. read more

Food: 7 out of 10. Not much toppings but tasty too much crust. Small salad was ok. Service: 6 out of 10. You just place your order and they bring it to you. Make sure you ask for a thin crust if that is your preference. We didn't know and the girls behind the counter didn't ask and we received thick crust Ambiance 7 out of 10. Clean. This is my go to pizza spot in McKinney! Highly recommend ordering the Barro's special and ordering a side of the garlic butter dipping sauce (IT IS INCREDIBLE!!!). There is plenty of space to sit and they also have a back room with children's toys! My son loves coming here! They also have some delicious wings (their ranch is also fantastic). read more

It's clear that this is poorly run and unorganized. I called 4:32 to place an orders. I was told 15 minutes. When I arrived again 4:50 to pick up my order. I was told they never put my order in. After receiving the pizza food it didn't look much better than a fast food chain pizza. The pizza was lackluster to say the least, I couldn't even finish a slice due to the poor taste. To top it off my family got food poisoning from this pizza and my toddler was throwing up all night after eating it. Being from NY, this place is a poor excuse of a pizza place and I would not recommend anybody to purchase pizza from here. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

The food is amazing. The service and staff are wonderful! Nice attentive and go above and beyond. It has a place for my toddler to play while we eat the ambiance is perfect for family's. Walked in the ambiance is a cool , clean and friendly vibe. The bathroom was very well kept, smelled fresh and was cleaned that's a major thing for me when dining out. This place was new to me. I ordered a mini supreme and it was really good...except for one thing. I didn't specify thick or thin crust. It came out with a super thick crust and I prefer thin. My suggestion for the manager and staff would be to ask customers upon placing order " thick or thin crust" if they had not already specified. If you're new here, you might forget that detail and it will ruin your pizza experience here. read more

Barro's Pizza is by far the best pizza and wing place around! I wish someone in Princeton could make pizza and wings this good! Their service is always top notch! Everyone is so polite and efficient! Love them all! We love the family friendly atmosphere! They are a great place to watch Sunday football. I was told they also provide great viewing of hockey games too! Love the food. The mgmt needs to spend more time on cleaning. The mat in front of the soda machine sticky (nasty). Fruit flies are in the space and that means you're leaving fruit out uncovered or not taking care of it when it comes in. Windows are super dirty as are the booths. Use a vacuum on the booths to get in between cushions. No one wants to sit in a place full of crumbs. Also, during busy times, you need more than one person up front. Got my pizza immediately but had to wait 10 min for salad. Again, love the food, but the lack of cleanliness of the place really turned me off today. read more

Best pizza around! I was sent a coupon by this restaurant for a free pizza for my bday so decided to give it a try. So glad I did! You can tell their ingredients are FRESH and the dough/ crust is phenomenal. I usually don't eat the crust on pizza but nothing from my plate gets left behind here! Very reasonable prices, multiple sizes of pizza offered, good specialties and just wow quality food. They offer non pizza options as well. Great for family dine in as large tables and patio available, super chill vibe all around. It's always clean and the staff are great, obviously great marketing too since that one free pizza stole my heart and now this is my go to pizza place read more

Great pizza options and able to customize size as well as toppings. Price is very reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the pizza the crust. It is a nice thickness , a nice texture and toppings are plentiful. The staff was very friendly. The table seemed relatively clean however the kids area could be kept cleaner. It's understandable though because there were constantly kids dumping out all of the toys. The toys do feel a bit grimy as well however they're in good condition. There's a nice variety including a play kitchen, Legos, small kids table, building blocks, and TV. The fountain refill is self-service. They have a wall of TVs for you to watch whatever sports are on TV. They also have beers on tap with a nice selection that includes about 15 different beers. I'm saving this as a place to come back to. Honestly my top 3 pizza places in North DFW area so far. read more

Greeted as we entered and exited the restaurant. Zack was patient and friendly as we asked lots of questions and he offered us samples of local beers they had on tap. Pizza was delicious! I'm sure I would have made it 5 stars but I'm holding the fifth star for when I dine in. This large one topping was Barro's welcoming me to my new neighborhood--Free! I ordered a sausage pizza and it was perfection. I love a crust that has some bite to it, it was flavorful and well cooked. I'm not one for the kitchen sink on my pizza--give me enough cheese for a good pull and a crispy, yummy sausage--and Barrow's did just that! Next time I'll add my other faves to the sausage--mushrooms & black olives. I found my pizza place!!! Looking forward to dining in and sampling the rest of their menu. read more

While in Texas visiting my son he told us about this amazing place to get pizza and wings. Barro's Pizza has a nice family atmosphere and the staff is very helpful. They also serve beer and a variety of sodas. We did two pizzas a XL meat lovers and a large veggie pizza. The wings were delicious if you like spicy get the mango habanero. So, if you are ever in the area of Mckenny Texas go check them out. Now my bad I didn't get pictures because we were hungry and started eating before I got the chance to take some. So that let's you know how good the pizza and wings are. read more

This place was next door to my hotel and I decided to try it out for lunch one day. I ordered a small thin crust Barro's Special and added Italian sausage. The pizza was already ready when I arrived early to pick it up. The pizza was absolutely delicious! It was also big enough to eat a second time. We LOVED this pizza! The crust is thick, with just the right ratio of crunch to chewy. The sauce is spicy, as is Italian sausage, and the toppings are plentiful. The workers were friendly enough, but we were a bit put off by the cheap plates and utensils. And all of the televisions. We ate here on 1/04/22 at 11:15am, and only one other party was present while we ate (a party of 3 men came in after us). It's new, so the place was very clean. Solid pizza offering - not amazing, but not bad. The ambiance/decor is a bit family-restaurant industrial - nothing special. The service was consistent with the food and decor - efficient, but not amazing. However, I can recommend on price point - definitely reasonable and a good bang for the buck. I would suggest Barro's for an after-school hang out/meet up - solid crowd pleaser. read more

My family and I eat here at a minimum once a week. The original staff is amazing. We had a small issue and requested to talk to the manger. We meet Jimmy. My husband buys pizza way too often. So naturally, I really didn't want any. He decides to order from a new place and gets a small one for me with all of my favorite toppings. Once I saw it, I could not refuse. It looked amazing and it tasted even better! I'm Italian so have high standards with anything Italian. Hands down the best pizza that I have ever tasted! Haven't found a lot of pizza places real close to…read moreme, or that seems good I've ordered togo from here before, not long wait then & good pizza - But this day (12/19/25), my kids & I sat in (dinner time on a Friday). Not only in need of a bigger location to accommodate (it seems), but more staff too.. phones ringing off hook, ppl waiting for food, etc. We had gotten the appetizer (tasted better than it looks), then waited close to an hr or so waiting for our pizza. Service was okay - mixed experience. Server seemed either overwhelmed, annoyed, or just not happy mostly. Could come to the table more "giddy", the next like he didn't want to be there. I get it was a Friday evening, dinner service, more busy.... But still. There was a table next time us, drove 50 mins to celebrate a birthday, by the time we got our pizza - that table had just found out their ticket was lost.. & needed to wait longer I will say when we did get our pizza finally, it was very good, good sauce/flavor, better than when I've ordered to go Recommend ordering delivery/take out or going when it shouldn't be busy Update: 1/23/26 - Owner & GM reached out, remedied situation. Truly appreciate them taking the time out to reach out and learn more about what happened

For seventeen years, I have been the self-appointed Sultan of Slices, driving my son to every reputable pizza joint in the area and essentially telling him what "good" tasted like. It was a hard job, but somebody had to do it, may as well be his Dad right? But apparently, the student has become the master. My son hit up Jet's Pizza in McKinney yesterday and came home claiming he'd had "the best pizza of his life." Now, at 17, his opinions are legally his own, but as the man who funded his palate for nearly two decades, I had to put this bold claim to the test. If he was wrong, I'd have to revoke his "pizza-picking privileges" indefinitely. I walked in and ordered the Super Special: a heavy-duty combination of pizza sauce, premium mozzarella, pepperoni, ham, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. The Verdict: I hate to admit it, mostly because it means my son is actually growing up and making sound life choices, but the kid was right. The crust had that perfect crisp-yet-airy texture that makes you forget about your fitness goals entirely. The toppings were delicious, the cheese didn't mess around, and the combination of ham and pepperoni on the Super Special provided a salt-to-sauce ratio that is frankly dangerous for anyone with a lack of self-control. It was very, very good. In fact, it was "I'm-not-even-mad-that-my-teenager-is-smarter-than-me" good. I may have to get this kid a YELP account!! To Jet's Pizza, thanks for the great meal. To my son: You get to keep your driver's license... for now. But don't get cocky; I'm still the lead judge on burger places.

The topping was fresh and flavorful and the bread was soft and crispy all at the same time. The greek salad was huge. The pizza was delicious and did truly remind me of NY style pizza, maybe just a little jucier though which I am fine with. Would definitely go back if I am in the area again. Only thing, the guy who took our order was acting strange. When we ordered he was abrupt and short. Had us repeat ourselves often. When we went back up 5 minutes later asking for water glasses he asked us if it was for togo...we were literally sitting in our booth 10 feet away. He just gave an overall nonfriendly vibe. Really weird because we saw he was friendly with others. It had to have been something with us, but no idea why.
