Pie is my favorite pizza restaurant! It's pizza pies are unique and delicious. Salads are great as well. Staff is friendly and amazing .

The pizza served here is comparable to &Pizza in terms of size, shape, and their flatbread-like crust. Since the restaurant is small, if you don't get there right at 5pm (when it opens) to snag a table, you might have to order carryout or wait a while. They have a separate kitchen area to handle carryout orders, and they were churning pizzas out a lot faster than the dine-in orders. There's limited selection on the menu but pizzas can be customized by adding or subtracting toppings ($2 extra for most additional toppings). I tried the margarita pizza, summertime, and goat cheese/artichoke. The summertime pizza (pesto, sweet corn, grape tomatoes, mozzarella, crab meat, basil) was the best of the bunch - "summertime" is the perfect name for it! I really liked the sweetness and bite of the corn with the lumps of crab. However, you couldn't really taste the pesto. Just a quick note about their toppings - they are not distributed well. Typically when putting toppings on pizzas, you sprinkle them so that it's everywhere on the pizza. At Pie - at least for the pizzas that we ordered - they seem to take a stingier or "delicate" approach: a topping placed in this space, another topping placed in this space, etc. so that the toppings don't overlap. I didn't really like that... I like my pizzas loaded with toppings! The only topping that the pizzas were loaded with was cheese - warning: all of the pizzas were super cheesy! The goat cheese artichoke was a glorified white pizza. It also comes with pesto and sundried tomatoes, but again, you can't really taste the pesto. The margarita pizza is pretty basic (so to jazz it up we added artichokes). The crust of the margarita pizza was actually more doughy than the summertime and artichoke/goat cheese, but it was probably just a different batch of dough. Service was average. There's not a lot of attentiveness required once you bring out the pizzas and let people have at it. As with all of the other beach establishments that I've been to in the area, there were flies flying around. Also, the place got smokey, so if you're sensitive to smoke, you should probably go elsewhere or order carryout. read more

I like the pizza especially the Black and Blue. The special red wine was ok. Overall a nice choice and a good deal/value.

Service was good, prices right and pizzas and salads were solid. Pizza with short ribs and onions and one with sausage and broccoli rabe were both very good. Would definitely go back next time I am in town. read more

Pizza was really good, but service was definitely subpar. We will likely come back because of the food, but with low expectations for everything else. Placed an order over the phone and picked it up at the restaurant. My boyfriend and I ordered the Beef and Blue and the Better than Pepperoni. We paid for parking and decided to eat on the boardwalk. We opened up the box and to our surprise it was shaped in a heart! The pizza was delicious. Loved the thin crust. I would recommend grabbing a lot of napkins though the toppings seemed to slide right off. We did have some leftovers, but I wouldn't suggest splitting just one pizza. Would love to come back here and try a different pizza. Some of their options are a little pricey in my opinion, but overall great experience! read more

And then found out that not only are their pizza pies wonderful (ordered the Summertime and couldn't have been happier!) but they have wonderful homemade dessert pies! Really good pizza for 3 of the 4 in our party. Unfortunately we had one order that was incorrect and we had a heck of a time getting service from our server. It looks as if the server's name was Mike, so be forewarned that our evening was nearly ruined by his lack of attention to our table and whatever chip he has on his shoulder. I love gourmet pizza, probably a bit too much. Pie satisfied all of my desires for gourmet pizza and more. We (my parents and I) arrived on a lovely Thursday evening after a nice day at the beach. We sat down in a cozy (but somewhat tight) dining area after a brief wait, but they had a lovely porch where you can sit and wait to be seated. We ordered wine and some salads to begin with and had some pretty prompt and nice service. I ordered the tomato/mozzerella salad, my dad got the same thing but added olives, and my mother ordered the caesar salad with not anchovies. The salads were delicious! Fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and dreamy mozzarella cheese made it incredible! I got to try my mom's caesar salad, and found that to be very good as well. The croutons were also very good and had a lovely hint of parmesan cheese. Then we had our pizza. We ordered two pizzas because they can be big and we also ordered salads. If you've ever been to &pizza, Pie's pizzas are about the same size. We ordered the prosciutto pizza and the goat cheese artichoke. Both pizzas were really quite good. We did wish that we had ordered the special that night, which was a peaches pizza with an Italian brie cheese. It sounded so heavenly! Oh well, next time we'll order it!! We did not sample their pies, but we really liked that their pies are seasonal, so perhaps next time we will sample them. One last thing that makes this restaurant a huge cut above the rest, the bathrooms. So usually in restaurants you have a ladies bathroom and a mens bathroom, so there can be a wait for the ladies room depending on when you go. Not this place. They have a ladies room, and a unisex room. I really enjoyed this from the perspective as a woman, because it is super annoying to wait for the ladies room. Last time I was here I didn't like Pie. I said I would come back if there was a new head chef or manager. I was told there probably was one of them because they added on. For an appetizer I had the Caesar salad. It was delicious, but was a large sized portion in my opinion. Then for an entree I got the Italian pizza with sausage. When I had it, under the cheese it felt moist. Besides that probably the only other thing I wasn't to much happy about was is that the cheese kept sliding off. On vaca, dropped in for dinner. Got 2 pizzas, 1 salad, club soda from tap, beers. First, the local craft beers were very good, chilled and tasted great. Pizza was yummy. Pizzas are one size with homemade crust and great topping combos. You can make your own as well. Sodas, as in most Beach restaurants are now $3. This was a bit shocking, but likely the norm. Just get beer or water - this way you don't feel like you are getting ripped off. I would gladly go back, food is quality and scratch made. read more

Really enjoyed this. Brought the kids (two 11 year olds) and had a really nice meal. We ordered two salads (Caesar and mozzarella and tomato) and two pizzas (Italian and Margarita). Everything was excellent. Service was excellent and the food was both tasty and served promptly. I love the pizza here, but I'm not planning to go back very soon. There are a few reasons why. The two times I've been to Pie this season, I felt there was something not right. I was sitting by a a window and The sun was starting to set. The brightness was blinding. Unless it's raining , this happens every day. Why haven't the owners installed blinds to block the sun? Also pizza is one of those foods that are fun to share. Not so much here. The plates , which are they have, are the size of saucers, barely big enough to hold one small slice of pizza. Their salads are large;large enough to share also, although you've got the same saucer size plate to share. I asked for spoons to divide the salad up, and the server brought me ONE and said that was all they had. It seemed that anything I asked for to make my meal more enjoyable, was denied. Considering whose restaurant this is, the culinary trained daughter of Patsy, owner/chef of one of the very best restaurants in Bethany Beach, Patsy's, I'm surprised that she's cutting so many corners at Pie. I'm giving Pie 3stars rather than 2, because the food is so good. read more

My wife and I had heard good reviews from this place so we decided to try it out last Saturday night 6/24. The place had a few diners but wasn't very crowded. The young very nice hostess decided to seat us in the back since she did not feel like wiping off one of the empty tables from a previous diner in the front. Sitting in the back of the restaurant is not a great experience since this is where the overstaffed workers congregate to s the s and discuss their current "weed" situation. I counted nine young workers in one area not doing much of anything. I think one of the guys in the group that appeared to be the center of attention was not an employee, but rather the boyfriend of one of the workers. The place is obviously not managed very well. Now on to the food: The $12.00 Caesar Salad was horrible. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, it was actually very good. Probably wont be back. Not your typical pizza, since we are from Philly we are a bit spoiled when it comes to pizza. We like a pizza that you can hold and fold and the crust made here is far from that. I would not even compare this to a good flat bread, the crust was so hard and stiff you could not bite it and it was tough even using utensils to cut it. I asked our server if the pizza was made fresh and she said it was but the crust was more like something that was frozen. Quite disappointed since we were expecting something far better. I choose to avoid the chain pizzerias and shop elsewhere but I will pass on this place in the future. read more

Greetings. Tonight I ordered 2 pizzas and a Cobb salad. I thought the shape of the pizza was cool. I'd describe it as resembling the outline of a very large bean. Let's start with how awful the pizza was. One pie was the "better than pepperoni" and I'm honestly not sure how they came up with that name, because nothing is better than pepperoni. The other pizza was cheese, half cherry pepper. Both were ordered well done, none were received well done, or good tasting. The crust is god awful. It tasted as though it had been frozen since the 80s. If you're familiar with hard tack, that's the flavor of the crust. Or, if you've ever eaten cardboard on mistake(or on purpose) that also shares similarities with the taste and texture of the crust. It's just pretty awful. The pizza as a whole was flavorless. The salad hasn't been touched yet, as I'm still searching for my extra side of balsamic. In closing, I have no clue how this place exists based on the food I ate tonight. We threw away the pizza we didnt eat, went to the grocery store at the end of the street and bought a digiorno instead. I'm not fooling around, that's what happened. Terrible pizza and service. Pizza is expensive There were very few toppings on the pizza. For instance we got shrimp pizza and there was one little shrimp per slice same with pepper etc. The dough was fairly thick and not to our taste. most importantly the service was terrible. we could not get through on the phone so we are at online. we were told there was a two hour wait. we went there in an hour and a half and the pizza is done and Luke warm which meant that have been ready for quite a while I do not recommend this place read more

My family ate here last night for dinner. Short walk from the Bethany Beach Boardwalk and so worth it! It was bigger than I thought with a bar and several tables. Our server was was wonderful, upbeat, and very helpful with making recommendations (I feel bad that I forgot her name). We got 4 pizzas for the six of us to split and that was more than enough. But if you like a craft pizza that does not talk back at 3:00 in the morning, then give this one a try. We have been there about 20 times. The menu is limited to craft pizza and salads.
