SCAMMERS!!!! Sold me tires that the tire place would not put on. I called and drove over an hour after the woman said there were tires of the right size she would put on her vehicle. I disclosed I had a disability and it was necessary for me to get to my medical appointments safely. I purchased tires and informed the woman that if I couldn't get they mounted I would need to return. She even marked areas that we saw may be punctures. The woman recommended a place right down the street to mount the tires. The staff there would not mount them due to age 20 years old and condition. I was given a receipt for store credit. Thanks for stealing almost $500 from person with a certified disability. It's 100% against the law to sell tires in the condition and age they sold them. Nev. Admin. I was not expecting to find what I was looking for so I didn't bring any tools with me (rookie haha) but to my surprise I was able to find exactly what I was looking for and then some. I was able to borrow some tools from other more prepared customers. Staff was friendly and welcoming and the place well organized specially considering it is a junk yard. I have been to some junk yards where is muddy and nasty but not this place. You can tell they make regular rounds around the yard to maintain the place una good general level of upkeep and safe to customers. read more

Went to this Pick-N-Pull to get some vehicle door glasses for a vehicle for our daughters car, all glasses were shattered. This place is so organized I couldn't believe my eyes. KC, Haley Roni all were helpful in guiding us and so very friendly. We found our donor vehicle, and removed all the glass in a short time, found some other parts and loaded them up on a little wagon they supplied us with. Now I've been to other Pick-N-Pulls, but none like this one, it was a real pleasure for sure, thanks. read more

Went in today for two 96 Toyota truck door handles. They are 10.00 new on Amazon. When husband went to check out and they wanted to charge him 20.00 each. When my husband to them that they were only 10 each knew she said she would apply a senior discount it rang up as 38.00. Needless to say we told them no thank you but what a racket. This isn't the 1st time we've found that they try to charge MUCH more than they are for new parts. We won't be going there again. Called multiple times to try to get someone to let me know if they still had a door for a truck I needed. It was the only one online in 250miles. I'm from CA so it was a 3hr drive and didn't want to waste time and gas for no reason. They all refused to take the 2min to help me out because "we don't do that". They charge $2.00 to enter their yard. They gave me a list that said they had 1 matching truck that I asked for and similar vehicles of the same year. I walked the yard, and the truck wasn't there. I bought a part from another truck ( different model) from the same year, hoping that it would be compatible. Turns out that it wasn't. I asked for a refund and was told that they don't give refunds only store credit. There was not a sign posted conspicuously for a customer to see that stated this, because I don't buy from businesses that won't give you your money back. If I would have seen the sign they would NOT have gotten my business. This place is not worth stopping at. Call a real business that can verify that they have what you're looking for instead of taking a gamble and losing money. read more

Not only were the people who worked there rude to them when they asked them a question about a vehicle they didnt try to help them at all. On the way put they were they only two who's bags got checked. Excuse me! It would be fine if they searched everyone's bags but they only searched my husband and his friends bags. Im a fan of this place just because there seems to be more of the things I cannot find in Sacramento area Pick and Pulls. Not a big fan of that freekin hill though! Since every time I need something its on the last rows! Its nice that they can look vehicles up now and tell you what row they are in. So if you dont want to walk out there you dont have to. I would recommend taking some water and all your tools and a wheelbarrow with you if there is a chance you might find what you need. Cause walking all the way back to the front and up and down that big hill again is not fun! read more

Don't come here if you have kids, cause you'll need to find a babysitter. Also the rewards part offers you a free admission(which is normally 2$), but you can't use it immediately. You can only use it when they decide to send it to your email. The staff was rude about the fact that it couldn't bring my son in back with me. I've been to pick and pulls before... This is the worst... Oh and when it came to checking out(my husband) after I had been sitting in the car with our son for an hour the cashier completely ignored him after telling him to wait at the counter while she proceeded to help 3 other fresh in the door customers. I love going to pick n pulls, pick your part type auto wrecking yards. I've been doing it since I had my MG Midget in 1984. I use to actually go weekly on my days off and find parts for my MG. I HAVE BEEN TO THE ONE IN CARSON CITY SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 24 Years. I'm not a mechanic, but I'm very capable of performing an array of auto repairs whether it's in the motor or just interior reconditioning/replacement. I was just there this last week and I had my purse and a canvas bag with tools that I thought I may need should I find the things I went there for. First of all I walked in and a lady behind the counter did awknowledge me. But she chose to ring up some customers that had a ton of auto parts. I waited and waited for a good 5 minutes. She could have easily took my two dollars and had me taken care in 20 seconds. My money was in hand and I was ready. Instead she rudely made me wait. Also I entered in on the side I have always entered in on and she abruptly told me to go to the other side. It was approx. 2:45 pm Tuesday Sept. 11th, 2018. I wont embarrass the person by describing her , but this way they can see who was working. Anyway finally a young man came and rang me up. He told me that all thier imports were gone. They were expanding the yard which is ok since I was there for an American automobile as well. Very bummed because my vehicle isn't safe to drive at the moment and I really needed to get a rear wheel drum for it and I live in Tahoe which is a bit of a drive and I don't often get to Carson City. I go into the yard and check the Chevy's for a missing oeice of dash plastic and it seems ever6 Chevy I found that had the same dash was also missing the plastic cover. I DID find a gas cap which I wanted to have as a spare since I have lost a couple recently. I also found brand new brake pads for a Chevy. I wasn't 100% sure they were the right ones but I put them in my bag anyway and figured I could ask up front in case they knew. I also found some fuses laying in Chevy on the floor and pick up those and put in my canvas bag. When I got back to the cashier the same young man asked if I found anything. I said a gas cap. I had my bag on the counter and before I could even take out the brake pads and inquire ab0ut them he asked to look in my bag! Like he thought I was stealing. I said I wanted to find out if you knew what vehicle these were for. I will buy them if they're the right ones for my Chevy. Then he asked again to look in my bag. He kept trying to see in my purse and he said "did you get anything else?" I just oh well like 4 fuses got them out and found 5. I honestly thought they were free! I never had a pick and pull charge me for fuses or screws. But they wanted to charge me a dollar each!! I said "no". He asked "what else do you have". I had found a small tiny scree driver that I figured was finders keepers... So I told him I found that (seriously didn't even have to" but I did because I felt like he thought I was stealing. Fifty cents he charged me for the screwdriver. THEN he asked to look in my purse! I opened up my purse and let him see in and he said "what's that?" I said "a can of pepper spray" he said I was awfully big for pepper spray. I pulled it out so he could see it. He thought I had stolen parts in my purse or something. I felt like a theif because he was treating me like it. I didn't notice the other cashier questioning the men across from me and asking to search them. I felt like he was too concerned about what was in my purse (nothing except my personal things) anyway I have never had that happen and never been asked to look in my purse. Which was a mistake taking in their anyway. It is a coach and it got a little dirty and greasy. Just felt really insulted bottom line. I need to go back but I feel almost humiliated to do so. read more

Pretty big lot with a decent variety of vehicles to pick-n-pull from. Awesome if the type you're looking for is right near the front of the yard, kinda balls if what you're looking for is alllllllll the way down the other end of the yard - it's a good 15 to 20 minute walk under the summer sun (bring water, apply suncream). Being as it's right down the road from Tahoe, there are more Jeeps to pull from than you shake a stick at. Really, this would be a "Yay! I'm a fan!" review, but I remember going to PnP back in the day with my dad and as I got older, boyfriends and it was CHEAP. That's why it was so much fun to go - it was so ridiculously cheap. It's still less expensive than getting parts new, but with all the additional charges they've tacked on (EPA, recycling, etc) it's not as much of a junk finding high as it used to be. Good Fun Fact: We saw two people get turned away as we were waiting to check in because they were wearing sandals / flip-flops. Really y'all? Use common sense. Wear closed toe shoes. Good Fun Fact #2: The only bathroom I saw was a Portapotty hidden halfway back on the lot. I dunno about you, but the thought of putting my heiny on a Portaseat in a pull yard full of men was inspiration enough to hold it. read more

Not really sure if i think they deserve 3 stars. The guy working was nice, professional I suppose. But the things is.... I drove here from Susanville, Ca because online their website says there is a 1 Volvo In their inventory that I may be able to get a few random parts I need for my Volvo. This is a good two hours from where I live. Half hour from Reno. I arrive there to find out that they no longer have that vehicle and it "may" have been moved. MAY??? This was extremely disappointing considering that these days simple things like online inventory are relied upon when driving a good distance to get to. That being said, i could have called and made sure it was there, but didnt think that was necessary considering i saw it at their location in the online inventory. read more

Customer Service is terrible. I tried calling to schedule a pick up for my vehicle but the only offered me a pick up M-F during business hours. Which I kind of understand but I work business hours M-F like any other normal person and I work 2 hours away, so those times just won't work for me. I asked if they can please just pick it up without me being present, they refused. I offered to mail in the title and other paperwork, to send someone else to be at the car with all the paperwork, no matter what I offered, they wouldn't budge. They don't work with customers at all. They told me if I wanted them to pick it up without me present, I'd have to stop in to sign paperwork first. ONCE AGAIN during business hours! I asked if they can either fax or email the paperwork and I can complete it and scan it back to them, they refused. I offered to send copies of my ID and everything but nope! Too much of a headache and hassle when they pay bottom dollar for working running cars. I ended up just selling my car for a lot more money, and a LOT less stress. read more

I can't stand having to walk all the way to the back of the yard (seems like a mile walk uphill) for small Chryslers but my small Chrysler died so I won't need it as bad nowadays. I bought a used tire from Pick n Pull in Carson City, I asked the person behind the counter if they were good tires or was gambling in the sale. He assured me it was a good tire and they had a return policy. I purchased the tire. The next day I went to the local shop in Silver Springs and he showed me the side wall had two large chunks taken out of the tire and he couldn't safety put the tire on my rim. He said the tire was unsafe and was junk. The following week I took it back to Pick N Pull, they said no return , no exchange , I needed to go to the Sparks store. WTF, I asked that question before I bought The F%$#@ing tire. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SHOP HERE, I WILL PAY RETAIL, IT'S BETTER THEN GETTING LIED TO AND RIPPED OFF ,, BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!! It's better to pay full price with a warranty then to get ripped off, over charged for defective parts, and lied to. Thank You.
