Eight months ago, I gave my service five stars because I thought they really took care of me and saved me some money. Fast forward. I originally told them what the problem was which was the alternator almost 100% sure. I took it to several O'Reilly stores when the car was acting up and they all registered as it's the alternator going bad. Took it to Nissan they said nope it's this, this, and this and we will do the alternator if you really want to at 600 bucks on top of the $1100 I was already paying for all the stuff they said it actually was. Okay cool, if you are certain it's not the alternator we won't do that then. Registering at 14.2. Took it off the lot and two days later the problem is back. So brought it back in. They said nope alternator is fine and no codes are popping up. Okay fine I give up. Continued to have problems but managed for eight months. Then complete crash. Now I bring it back in the replace the battery and the alternator is now over charging the battery. Now they want to listen and charge me 900 dollars bc now the codes are coming back saying so. What the xxxx happened to actual mechanic work and not just saying this is what is wrong or not wrong bc the codes say so. I have zero mechanical experience, but I'm can deduct based off some basics and the problems I was having, like a mechanic weird lol. But no O'relilys was wrong, I was wrong, several others voiced it including my boyfriend, nope all wrong but especially me bc I am a girl right? Swindlers. Oh and then offered to do a trade in. We paid thousands of dollars for this warranty, trusting it would provide protection and peace of mind. Instead, we were met with repeated failures, misrepresentation, and outright disrespect. Major Mechanical Failure Just one year into ownership, the vehicle's transmission failed without warning, leaving my husband stranded on the side of the road. For a certified pre-owned car with low mileage and minimal use, this type of failure is alarming and unacceptable. Warranty Breakdown & Towing Dispute When we contacted the dealership to initiate a warranty claim, we were told repairs could only be performed at Nissan Carson City. Although towing coverage was included in our warranty contract, the warranty provider claimed they could not locate our coverage--forcing us to pay out of pocket to tow the vehicle from another city. Loaner and Rental Car Failures We requested a loaner vehicle to minimize disruption, but this was denied. We then used the warranty's five-day rental coverage, only for repairs to drag on for months. Three weeks into the rental, we were suddenly told that coverage would only apply if the vehicle came from an Enterprise in Carson City--over an hour from our home. This critical condition was never disclosed at the outset, resulting in substantial out-of-pocket rental costs. Poor Communication & Managerial Neglect Throughout the process, communication from the dealership was minimal and inconsistent. Calls were rarely returned, updates were vague, and we had to chase down basic information. I left a detailed voicemail for Fixed Operations Director Nathan Snell outlining the financial hardship and requesting reconsideration for a loaner. He never returned my call--instead, I was sent back to the same service advisor who had already denied assistance. Damaged Parts, False Promises, and Final Hostility When the warranty claim was finally approved, the replacement transmission arrived damaged, causing more delays. Multiple times, we were told our vehicle was ready, only to drive an hour--on two separate occasions--and be told otherwise. On our final attempt, just minutes from the dealership, we were informed the car would not be released because the warranty company still owed $400. This internal matter between Nissan and the warranty provider resulted in us being punished as paying customers. When I spoke directly with Mr. Snell, he yelled at us, told us to "come get the car and NEVER COME BACK," and hung up on us. At pickup, we were refused receipts or proof showing our balance was paid and the matter closed. Financial & Emotional Harm We complied with every requirement, paid for the warranty in full, and endured months of delays--resulting in thousands of dollars in rental costs, fuel, travel fees, and unpaid time off work. The dealership's actions reflect a complete disregard for customer well-being, fairness, and the Nissan brand's reputation. What could improve: Service department- ability to honor appointments and also not gouge customers. Have had multiple issues on different occasions. Worst service department I have ever dealt with. I have had issues in the past and wasn't going to go back, but my vehicle is under warranty and a check engine light came on. Made an appointment for 12 on a Friday, arrived early to check in and they told me they would have to run diagnostics and they couldn't do that until Monday afternoon so they would need to hold on to my vehicle at least until then. Mind you, I had an appointment for a check engine light so it was not a mystery they would have to run diagnostics. They said they didn't have a loaner vehicle to let me borrow and that they were over booked so the next available appointment they could get to it wouldn't be until end of September. Although this day was supposed to be a day of fun and new car buying excitement once sat down in the finance office. We were met with some numbers that were a little confusing and needed to be further explained. They called in sales person Alex to explain as he was the one that conducted the deal. once Alex was in the room and it was pressed on some of the numbers and issues. He then proceeded to get very aggressive and yelled at my fiancé who was purchasing the car and continued to allow his personal emotions to get in the way of a business deal. I would've rather he of just come out and told us to go screw ourselves because the way he acted like a five-year-old child, raising his voice and telling us "there's the door" if we weren't happy, turned our day of excitement into one of not so much fun, and now our car buying experience has been tampered due to his personal feelings. I think that the way this was handled was uncalled for. Things were previously discussed (ie numbers, rollover amounts, payments etc.) again when asked further questions about what was discussed he was again very rude and again told us "there's the door, if you're unhappy". I 100% think Alex let his PERSONAL emotions get in the way. And we are talking aggressive to the point it made my fiancé cry. This is unacceptable and Alex needs to be reprimanded. I would give them minus 5 stars if I could. Their salesman, Carlos and the finance officer, Tito, lied to us! They sold us an extended warranty for $2000, telling us it covered bumper to bumper. I asked if that included EVERYTHING. We were told it did. We have had a leaky washer fluid container since we bought the car. I tried to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau. They are telling me that is not covered. The only thing covered is the drive train. We just had to replace the battery they supposedly replaced 2 years ago. Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT take your car here. My car was making a funny noise near the wheel so I took it in to get checked out. They quoted me 11,000 (yes you read that right, ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS) to fix it, as well as telling me that my transmission needed to be completely replaced. Yikes. To add insult to injury: When asking about trading in my car, they offered me $1 !!! While I was shocked, I trusted them. Just in case,I took my car to another place to get a second opinion. After checking and then double checking my transmission the other place told me it was absolutely fine. They also fixed the sound for $800. NEGATIVE STARS!! These guys are the Absolute WORST mechanics in the valley. I took my truck in for an exhaust leak, they ended up stripping a manifold stud and having to take the engine apart. When i got it back the front break pads were melted to the rotor, my engine shroud is missing, there's excessive amounts of oil residue all over like they didnt even try to clean it and now 2 weeks later the opposite side of the headers are leaking. Update to my 12/02 posting. The sales manager called me yesterday 12/04/2023. Ron Wells I believe his name was. He said he had heard what had happened. He told me he would refund my American Express card and send me via email a copy of the receipt showing it was done. Contacted American Express this morning and nothing !!!!! No emails either. They have $7700 of my money and have not released it at least they have not shown me that they have. Another update, 12/06, no call from Ron Wells, no refund to my American Express Card. Right now, these guys are crooks. Looking to see what my next step is, at least American Express is helping me with this. read more

Then they said it would cost us $4800 to replace the part, we left. Took the car to a mechanic and was charged $770. A difference of $4100. Be careful buying a service contract. i WANTED TO WRITE THIS REVIEW AND I APOLOGIZE IF ITS LENGTHY. I called and inquired about a van they had on the lot, it was a 2012 Ford, I asked if they had the seats for it and they said no, so I moved on, I get a phone call from salesperson saying if I'm interested they will put the seats in the van for me. Yay, I was interested, he actually drove the van to my house, we did the financing at my kitchen table, had to make a call to the finance guy to ask why I was getting charged more than it said on the sticker, that dude must have not realized he was on speaker phone because he said, " were getting her seats and she wants that price, I dont care if she buys it or not", I'm like cool off little dude, it was a question that needed to be addressed, salesman said he was probably already drinking as it was evening, I dont care, rude is rude and it was uncalled for.. So weeks go by I call to find out the eta on the seats, I was given a time then a few days later told that not all the parts were in, then was told someone forgot to order the parts, well it was a cluster of bad communication between the sales guy and the parts person or the shop guy. Finally the parts are all here, were talking nearly 6 weeks later, I get the call to come in all is here but one seat belt and I could bring it in when that comes in, so I leave my job, go to Nissan, I was told, a service writer I never saw, it would be two hours so I wait 2 hours only to be told that they still did not have the parts. So frustrated I leave, more weeks go by and finally I get a call from my original service writer that all parts are in and ready to go, I might have been a tiny bit frustrated when I spoke to him, Chris, but he was the only one that seemed to have a clue about what was really going. So at the end of the day 8 weeks later I am able to tote all my 8 kids in one car, I'm giving one star to Chris Brown, service writer, had he been there the first time when I waited 2 hours I'm almost positive that I wouldn't have waited 2 hours to find out the parts were not even in, and Bronden, I think its his name salesman, for being an amazing sales dude.. and honestly I think they both deserve all five stars.. They have free coffee, cookies, and water. The chairs in the lobby are comfortable. There has been no update or apology for the wait just me sitting, wondering why it is taking so long. Our daughter bought a used car from them in August. They never disclosed that this 2023 Nissan Rogue already had the motor replaced before she purchased. When she questioned them about this, they said they didn't have to disclose that. So before you purchase a used car from them, think about what they may not be disclosing to you because they "don't have to". Not sure how they sleep at night but as long as they are making money and not being upfront about their cars, I guess they don't care.
