Showed up to look and possibly buy a Ridgeline. Julio was the sale representative that greeted us. He was friendly and did not pressure us in anyway. We drove two different models of the vehicle. Once we decided what we liked, Julio gave us the price breakdown and their financing. Their rates were by far the best, even better than USAA at .99%! We were happy with the deal and they even let us get some swag. We knew the windows were dirty when we took it home but knew it was at closing, no biggie. Tried to clean them but it was hard water. Plus noticed a chip on a door edge. Talked to Cory, the manager, he has us bring it in, very nice about it. They removed the hard water deposits and even put on awesome door edge guards. He also handed their notary a document to notarize that was signed the day before. Both of those things are illegal and that is what I told them. They cannot pull up anything by name, by vin, by year & model of the car, and by phone number. Nothing, no record of my info at all, so they lost their customer's info. That's not the worst of all, they told me to hold on and I waited 15 minutes on hold ended up them hanging up the phone. Shady, deceptive, and insulting. When attempting to take advantage of their advertised $199 lease deal for a Prologue, they were unable justify how $199 goes to $330. Lame explanation then given by a rude finance guy with offending tats all over his arms. His explanation? Well, that covers taxes (ok, to the tune of about $27), and "fees" of around $800 (doc fee, some bs mandatory theft protection fee of $399 and one other tacked on fee). Ok, explain how fees of $800 for a three year lease equates to an extra $100/ month, $1200/year over the life of the lease? His response, stare at the printout, hem and haw, offer no other explanation whatsoever. I gave him multiple opportunities to make those numbers work in a coherent manner, and he couldn't. Here, I'll explain it for you guy (since you seemed to have been rendered mute), the dealer is basically trying to rip you off because they think you're stupid. You're welcome. I had an appointment for oil change and tire rotation, using a coupon I received in the mail, Car was done in 2 hours, I paid, she (M,F) recommended new tires, transmission fluid and brake fluid changes /with estimates despite my car having less than 20K miles. but she neglected to tell me they did not rotate my tires. When I got home, I read the paperwork and discovered this omission. I immediately called and was told my rear tires didn't have enough tread to rotate, I went to Les scwab and had my tires checked due to a nail/flat tire the week before and they recommended one more tire rotation before buying new tires. In addition, I was sent a video of a walk around of my vehicle before it went into the shop and it wasn't even my car. When I got into my car the oilcan picture was on my screen, and I needed assistance to remove it. This was AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE!! i have bought my last 2 cars there, and I am done, Never again. I'm mixed but overall satisfied Hohl is a half hour drive for me. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it's a drive I don't do often. So I researched online, then called. I talked to Maria and asked her to send me info on some 19 and 20 CR-V's. I was excluding black exteriors and interiors- Nevada hot summers are brutal with dark cars. I felt I received more info online than with her email. I made an appointment for mid morning on a Thursday. Armed with my notes and a friend I went in. I was given to John, a very and knowledgeable gentleman, but I was prepared to do business with Maria. So I felt like I started over, giving John the list of CR-V's I was interested in. He brought three up to the showroom awning for me, I test drive one. On a whim I asked to see an HR-V to compare size and other differences. 2019 HR-V's were being greatly discounted plus had a .9% finance rate. After over an hour of checking out five HR-V's I finally decided the H suited me better than the C. So we go inside to begin the paperwork. At 2pm we are now waiting on approval from the finance department- not an issue, we said we were going to grab a quick lunch. We got the feeling they thought we were leaving, since he offered to order lunch delivered. Not at all we needed a break, we had been there four hours by now. After lunch we returned to review and sign paperwork, which seemed to take another hour. John had the H detailed while I was with finance. When it was finished, he took another 45 minutes to review my new car from bumper to bumper, inside and out. He even immediately paired up my iPhone. The entire staff was fabulous and kind. But a six hour day for me at a dealership was a lot. Having not bought a car in over 20 years, I had no idea it's so complicated or thorough today. Had a Terrible experience with car sales man Julio (I only know his name because he gave me his card at the end) he did not ask me my name, didn't offer up his name. He Only knows my name because he took a copy of my drivers license. He Barely spoke at all. It Was the most silent test drive I have ever been on. The only time he spoke was when I asked a couple of questions and he didn't know the answer to them. Felt like he didn't want to deal with me because I was a girl and was solo without my husband. So overall I had a good experience at Michael Hall Honda. I mean it's a typical dealership so you're going to get some of the typical dealer tactics. If you do your homework and you're going there at first you'll be better prepared to know not only what you want but what you can afford and all of that. Jenna the salesperson I dealt with was great from the start. That's all my questions, let me Do all the tire kicking I needed before making my purchase. Never felt like she was trying to sell me anything. Usually I try to find salesperson that was hungry for sale but in this case it didn't matter I knew she was making sales from what I could see because I went over the course of about a week but she's still treated me like I was the only one she was working with. Like anything else if you extend them courtesy they can do the same. No she couldn't knock $10,000 off the price of the car but negotiating was smooth. The finance manager was also pretty cool. Of course they had to try to sell me some upgrades but, there wasn't any high pressure sales with it if I said yes or no to a warranty or part that was that They didn't try to circle back. I don't usually do this but this dealership inspired me to write one. I was waiting for them to send me a request for review but they didn't so here I am offering it... eagerly. I'm never going back to this dealership again. First, I tried to get the OTD price on a 2025 Type R they had but the guy who responded to my query instead wanted me to come in and see "...if the vehicle fits me." Big red flag according to Ray from Car Edge. Bought my newly purchased, slightly used (4,000 miles) 2024 Civic Type R for an oil change to this dealership. I had scheduled an appointment beforehand. I did this because I didn't wanna drive all the way to Reno. The service manager acted like I just showed up. Next, she told me I didn't need an oil change. She was right, I didn't but I wanted to. I wanted to replace whatever oil Carmax put in the engine with Amsoil Signature series which I had with me. It's not like I'm asking you to do this for free. She then asked if I was going to provide a crush washer too. Their service staff came off as unfriendly to me. It felt like they resented me for having the car. I brought my 2020 Subaru STI to MH Subaru for service during the five years I owned that car but never felt like this once. Used my own oil everytime and they just documented it so. Random staff would compliment me about the car. After this service MH Honda, they parked my car next to a vehicle that looked like it had been stomped on at a street takeover. Subliminal. read more

If you value honesty and professionalism I would strongly recommend avoiding this dealership and likely the dealer group (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree). Don't walk, run away. I had negotiated the purchase of a used (newer low mileage) Honda CRV with their business development manager via email and phone. I received photos of the vehicle since their website did not have any uploaded yet.. I noticed what looked like scrapes and chips on the rear bumper but was told "oh it's just leaves I personally checked.. we just had our first snow storm". Relieved of the condition issues we moved forward with asking the vehicle to be held until we could see it in person on the weekend. I was also reassured that it was in "GREAT" condition through email since that was a concern due to the distance we would have to travel and a strong desire to NOT WASTE OUR TIME. They email me that night and tell me I need to provide a $3000 non refundable deposit for them to hold it 3 days. I tell them no I'm not giving you a NON REFUNDABLE deposit when I haven't driven it or even seen it. They back off on the non refundable deposit. The deposit demand also made me believe it must be a nice car if there is that much demand... We arrive and the salesperson I was working with was nowhere to be found (weird.. they say she isn't even in that building?), so a random man started trying to help us and gather information. I explain to him we already had a deal negotiated and I am simply here to see the vehicle, drive it and then proceed with purchase if it was as advertised and hand over the cashiers check. Next we are passed to the finance manager which makes zero sense as we aren't financing anything, he makes random small talk for a bit and then asks the first salesman that tried to help us where the keys are... he doesn't know. Now a third person speaks up and says he has them and to come over to his desk because he has everything ready, we do. The whole situation is just bizarre at this point and feels off. He wants me to start signing paperwork... I tell him I would like to at least SEE the car before signing anything, he plays it off and agrees. We walk out to the car and the damage to the bumper I had questioned is DEFINITELY THERE. The snowstorm and leaves story was a complete lie, the damage was always there plus other random scrapes that weren't shown in the pictures that were sent to me. They also conveniently have the car backed up against a wall so it's not exactly easy to see the bumper damage.. I bet that wasn't a purposeful dirty tactic hoping we would just pay and leave (yeah right). Long story short they basically make every excuse in the book as to why they lied, they offer zero concessions.. basically take it or leave it. I left it, it's not even about the damage it's the principle of honesty and business professionalism/trust. They weren't even apologetic really, they just kept somewhat admitting to being liars while posturing strategically that it's not their fault and that they have never had this problem. Who knows what else they could be hiding if they can't even be transparent about large scrapes and chips on a bumper. We leave frustrated, empty handed. I completely understand why they were trying to get the non refundable deposit now.. because they are an extremely shady dealer who wanted me to be in a jam when I see the damage does exist after driving 4 hours (I'm from out of town) spending $ on gas and a hotel. About 15 minutes later some other random salesman texts me and tried to play the nice cop game and hustle us by offering $300 off if I was to drive all the way back to the dealer that isn't trustworthy. No thanks, we will never do business with you and the second sales pitch text/call added insult to injury.. explaining how we shouldn't have expected a used car to be in new condition! Again, the sales women verified in email there was no damage at all to back bumper. Go anywhere else. read more

THE A HOHL HONDA EXPERIENCE Bought a car off the lot. Refused to buy extended warranty and paint protection etc. I noticed the total cost was thousands too high. Looked through the paperwork and found the extended warranty and the other add-ons I had refused earlier. I told them to fix the contract and the finance manager started screaming and yelling at me but I didn't budge. I wanted a contract with a little less finance manager spit and BS. Then they tell me they can't find the second key FOB and I'll have to pay $300 for a replacement ( the lost key scam is a classic scam usually found on sleazy used car lots). when I threatened to walk if they didn't find the key, they instantly found the lost key. reading reviews here I can see they seem to have done this to others IMO. Went in for minor repairs and Hohl said parts are not available and no ETA, forcing my insurance to potentially total the car. I called other Honda dealers and they all said parts are available. This seems like another scam intended to force people to buy a new car from them IMO, maybe I'm being paranoid at this point? I went to pick my car up and Honda had given it away to an salvage auction company without permission or legal release. the car was damaged by being lifted improperly from underneath. This is usually called auto theft and DMV fraud, you decide. I'm driving a damaged car that I'm making payments on and could have been repaired weeks ago If I had gone to a different dealer.
