Brought our 2006 Honda Pilot in for a front brake job. They told us they were able to turn the rotors as opposed to us having to get new rotors. When we drove it home, there was a bad shimmy over 50mph. Brought it back and they said it was the tires. The tires were not doing that when we brought it in, so I guess they put new tires on it without us asking. LOL! But seriously, what I think happened is that it did in fact need new rotors. Instead of lying and blaming my tires, they should have admitted the mistake and told us we did in fact need new rotors after all. You would think a place named _BRAKE_ an Alignment Plus would know how to do a brake job. We will not go there again and we advise anyone reading this to avoid them too. read more

If you have a difficult to align vehicle, I'd recommend you take it to Bill (the shop owner). He has years of experience in this "old school" place and doesn't try to up charge you. You may have to wait several weeks for a service appointment, but it is well worth waiting for. Great work and reasonable prices--a rare combination these days. Highly recommended! read more

My 2012 CRV was having some sort of issue with steering or suspension. I had taken my car in 2 different times to my regular mechanic to have other work done. I had pointed out the noise. Two of their mechanics said that they could hear the noise when they drove the vehicle, but they could not troubleshoot it. Okay, that's a bummer. I still know something's wrong with it. Where to go? So, I went to the Next Door app and asked if anybody had a shop they could recommend for steering/suspension. A nice lady mentioned that she had to have a lot of work done to her steering on a Honda CRV and although it cost her a bit of money, she was very happy with the results at Brake Alignment Plus. I scheduled an appointment & got my car in at 8:00 a.m. on a Thursday. Bill was very personable and when I explained that I kept hearing a noise from the front driver side, he said he would check it out. I suggested that we go ahead and do an alignment because I honestly could not remember the last time I had one done. By 3:00 p.m., I still had not heard back from the shop. I was starting to get worried, but didn't want to call because when you're busy working on a car, the last thing you want to do is field phone calls from someone who's overthinking things. Lol. I already was thinking the worst about my 11-year-old vehicle. At 4:00 p.m., Bill called me and said that he found some parts that were loose on the sway bar, etc. Tightened them up. He had taken my car out for a spin and definitely heard the noise I was talking about. He also felt that it did not need an alignment as it was tracking straight. Okay, so let me have it... what's the damage? He told me $63! He basically charged me for a regular inspection of a vehicle. What a steal! If he was the dishonest sort, he could have easily charged me for an alignment in addition to the inspection. So for about $35 cheaper than what I thought I was going to pay to have my car aligned and then see what was wrong with it, he took care of it. I will definitely be back! I appreciate the honesty! Poor customer service. I had put new 37 inch tires and 24 inch wheels on my 2021 F350 dually and wanted to check the alignment to make sure everything was ok. Based on the google reviews for this place I had decided to choose Brake and Alignment plus. I had called and they said they were booked 2 weeks out. I had scheduled an appointment for November 15, 2021 at 2:30pm. On the day of my appointment I drove 45 minutes from Tahoe. When I arrived Ed had informed me that "a car had try to come off the rack and billy the technician hurt his shoulder". I said no problem when can I schedule another appointment. The response fromEd was, " I don't know". At that point I was like ..wow. You at least could have called your all of your appointments for the day and let them know not to show. It would have saved. Me a couple hours of time and gas money. I honestly wish that I would've originally scheduled my appointment somewhere else and saved myself 2 more weeks of waiting. I definitely made the smart decision not to follow up with their service. What type of place has cars almost falling off the rack? I feel bad for the customer who probably doesn't know about the damages of what happened to his car.. All around red flags. read more

On a recommendation, I had my 50 year old PU truck towed in to Brake & Alignment Plus to sort out a serious problem with the front end that left me stranded on the highway. Lucky find! Bill and Ed are very familiar with the workings of old rides, and had my wheel hub and bearings working in top shape as soon as the parts arrived. Bill also did a long-overdue alignment and steering adjustment that really helped, too. He sure knows how to improve an old ride. Very good communications and fairly priced, too. I have been driving my car lately and it has been getting more unsafe and more unsafe due to my tires. It has been pulling to the right and my tires, almost new are totally bald on the outside or all 4 tires less then 4 months old. I was told I might have an alignment issue. I was referred to take my car in here since I took it to a large tire and alignment shop 4 months ago and they clearly did it incorrectly. I called and set up an appointment. I brought my car in and Bill was extremely friendly and helpful. As he was working on my car he even brought me into the garage and showed me exactly what was wrong with my car. It was the alignment and he told me why how and everything to be able to tell if in the future this were to happen again. He brought me into the garage several times just to show me exactly what he was doing and exactly what was world with my car. The alignment was extremely cheap, he did fantastic work and in a very timely manner. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this shop because he truly knows what he's doing and he's not trying to earn an extra buck if someone doesn't know what they need.
