Think only once I've had a problem which was the oil filter not being put on tight enough but all it took was a quick tightening. Never hurts to watch em work or check stuff after a visit at any place!

On February 23rd of 2026 I went to get an oil change. Quick and easy, left around 30 minutes later…read more 3 days later I notice at work a giant oil puddle where I normally park. I come home, look on the ground of my parking spot and sure enough another massive oil puddle. I make my way to the store to have my leak fixed, and on the way my car throws out a DTC for my powertrain. When I get there I explain the issue, and they begin to "fix" the leak. About 30 minutes later I get a text from an unknown number to an aftermarket oil filter cap on Amazon. Unbeknownst to me at the time it was the store manager's personal number. He told me that my oil cap filter was broken, that it was made of cheap plastic and was only supposed to last 60,000 miles(my car is at 96,000), that their supplier didn't have the OEM piece, and that it was $140.00 at Hyundai, so I should buy the one he sent me and they would install it once I'd receive it. I went home and immediately called Hyundai to double check that the information given to me was correct. The person I talked to said that my oil filter cap was rated to last at least 150,000 miles, and that the only way to break it was to tighten it too much or install it incorrectly. My car was still leaking oil when I left the Castrol shop, and so I was unable to drive it until I could have it inspected at Hyundai for the powertrain DTC almost 2 weeks after this. Luckily there was no damage, but to perform the diagnostic inspection they had to perform an oil change anyway. So not only was a piece damaged while at Castrol for the original oil change, but I had to get another oil change to perform the diagnostic inspection at Hyundai, making the original appointment useless, not to mention the store manager seemingly trying to cover up the damage to my oil filter cap. I called the store manager's business number twice to attempt to at least get a refund for my original oil change with no response, so then I call Castrol Corporate who say that there's nothing they can do except contact the store owner and give them my information. It's been 1 week since I called Castrol Corporate and the store owner has yet to contact me. In fact, corporate emailed me with a follow up to ensure I had been contacted before I actually was. Now I must take this matter to my bank and have the charge disputed. Refunding me is the least Castrol can do especially since it cost me much more to have my car inspected, oil changed again and the oil filter cap replaced, and if they can't even do that then I'll get my money back myself. I would never recommend this location or even this company ever, and I will never return. This whole issue could have cost me thousands more if I hadn't done my research and acted quickly.

I very much liked the screen that showed the progress concerning the status of the repairs being done to to the vehicle. I was in the waiting room with another customer awaiting repairs to their vehicle and they encountered an issue, minor to the both of us but major to the shop, a simple fix, but to the shop it seemed like a major catastrophe, that didn't bode well to me. So the customer did what I would have done also, cancel the repair, take it home to make the expensive repair myself and return, which was exactly what he did. Then came my turn, they were not going to do the alignment due to what was considered major to them but rather minor to me. I requested the alignment done and I would come back after I made the repairs but they wouldn't warranty the alignment based on their findings, mind you their warranty was for three months and x amount of mileage. They would rather I ruin a perfectly good tire than to make the repair and have me come back after the work they required was done. Now it didn't stop there, the upselling went on for unnecessary parts which I knew weren't needing and even windshield wipers that were new but weather worn from a week that they were put on. I really don't think they will be on my list of places to get repairs in the future especially since I too can fix vehicles but am willing to let someone else do the work, but not if the repairs are not warranted and I'm aware they are not.

So then I decided to try valvoline..there's one down the street from me and i pass it alot and always been curious. They looked like a good company and I was right! I'm a uber driver so I need a oil change almost every other month so I need a good place that knows what they are doing and a decent price.. they checked all the boxes.. they are quick , good prices and the staff is always so nice and explains EVERYTHING to you.. from what they offer to what your specific car needs and what they can do there and they never pressure you into anything. They bring something to you attention and leave it at that. They even tell you what you dont really need or need at that time and not try to con you into getting something done just to get your money..they show you things as they are getting done and by the way, you dont leave your car as they work!.. I never feel dumb when I ask questions, never feel pushed into things, never feel like they aren't ever listening to me.i actually feel like they know what they are doing and aren't messing around. Amazing staff at this location. Most definitely will continue taking my business there.

I had to get new tires I bought elsewhere rimmed from my old tires on my RV. I did have to wait a while to get helped, but there was a singular lady holding it up , a long line, and the guy was doing the best he could to get things moving. These days I know every business is understaffed so I can't blame them for me coming at a bad time. Scott rang my order up. He was knowledgeable and told me what would work. He explained all costs. There was someone who watched me unload tires and didn't offer to help, he wasn't a super happy camper. Scott also called later and left a voicemail saying the tires were done. They are supposed to have a text service but in the message he was just confirming in case it didn't come through. He got someone to help me load, who was super friendly. All in all the experience was good, and Walmart offers good rates when it comes to auto services like tires.

I didn't have time to wait so I told them to pull my truck out. They couldn't, had to wait another ten minutes for them to get back for lunch. Talk to the manager and it was just more of a waste of time. I was also rudely told by the tech that they never told me it would only be an hour. I confirmed with the other tech and he said he mistakenly told me an hour. I was never even offered an apology for the waste of my time. Nearly three hours later and I'm on my way without an oil change. What a joke, don't waste your time here.
