I ordered the "Strawberry Jade Matcha" Strong matcha flavor, not too sweet. It wasn't creamy nor did it have foam on top, but I still enjoyed it. Fixed my craving for sure.

I love this little spot. It has great Vietnamese coffee. Great service and pretty simple food menu. It's a quick great for grab and go.

Piccolo Coffee *March 7th, 2026 *9am- Saturday *3 Stars Environment: *Large Parking Lot *Outdoor and Indoor Seating *Small and Dirty Interior Food/Drink: *Iced Double Matcha (Less Sweet, Oat Milk) *Iced Belgium Mocha (Oat Milk) Stopped by this morning after doing some grocery shopping. I appreciated that the plaza was large with plenty of parking spaces. The drinks were pretty good overall, though they do lean on the sweeter side. I ordered the Iced Belgium Mocha and Iced Double Matcha with less sweetness, which helped, but it was still a little sweet for my taste. The matcha itself was also on the smaller side for the price and cost me an additional $0.75 charge for an alternative milk substitute, it felt a bit pricey for the portion size. The atmosphere inside wasn't quite what I expected for a cafe in Brea. The interior felt a bit small and a little dirty, and I could see it becoming difficult to move around if it got more crowded. The walkway to order drinks is also the same path staff members use to access the back, which only leaves enough space for one person at a time. Overall, the drinks were prettysolid, but the space itself could use an update.

Finally made it back here and tried the pistachio rose latte. It was very floral which I don't mind but I did not taste much pistachio flavor at all which was kinda disappointing. I think a pistachio cold foam would probably be better than combining both flavors since the rose is so much more overpowering. Service was decent.

Strawberry Jade Matcha and double matcha

Walked in Sunday afternoon and it was empty. This seems like a good spot to study alone, tables were little small. We came to try their matcha. I got the double and my fiance the strawberry. The matcha will do in a pinch. It was around $7.50 each. The quality of the matcha was not the greatest more gritty and bitter, leaving a powdery covering over your tongue. The puree is delicious. Their coffee did look good will prob try that the next time (:

Matcha CreamTop and Raspberry Cruffin

I ordered a Matcha CreamTop Latte and Raspberry Cruffin. The raspberry cruffin was incredible, so good! The matcha latte left something to be desired, and I expected it to be sweeter considering it was Einspanner-style. I worked from this cafe for a few hours and found it a great place to work! It wasn't too noisy, and the wifi worked perfectly fine. They have seating, but it is limited, so get there around opening if you need guaranteed seating!

Great cream top matcha and latte!! We also tried one of their holiday season drinks peppermint mocha and it wasn't as tasty as their cream top drinks. Would definitely return for their cream top matcha and latte!

Vietnamese coffee - strong and sweet just how I like it. Kouign-amann - Deeeelicious sweet passion fruit croissant. Lox Bagel very tasty and 1st I had it with a spritz of lemon which made it taste even better. Very fresh as well as the everything bagel. Light and airy.

Great little spot. The Matcha Latte I had wasn't amazing but .. I can't complain Really cute place though with nice outdoor seating as well

Small quaint and clean coffee shop located adjacent to Target in Brea. Having found Piccolo from Yelp- we decided to stop in and try some of their tasty bagel and coffee offerings. The lox and avocado bagels were delicious and we enjoyed the matcha latte as well. Super friendly service too. Would recommend Piccolo for your local bagel/brunch and coffee needs!

Pistachio Rose Latte
Vera L.

This coffee spot is hidden in the corner of the Target plaza. I ordered the Pistachio Rose latte but it didn't have any hint of pistachio taste. Each sip of mine was filled with rose petals. It was just ok, tasted more of the cardamom overall.

Seems like Communitea Coffee has cracked the code to what I-- at least-- am wanting from a coffee…read moreshop, starting with matcha. I got the earl grey matcha which are two of my favorite flavors it was of course delicious. Food: They had just rolled out a new menu that includes a slice of sourdough bread and butter for 5$. I'm really working on cutting out the sweet treats (which they have plenty of) so it was perfect for me. They also have wholesome foods such as breakfast sandwiches and burritos which-- if I didn't have dinner plans after my study session-- is always appreciated as too often the food at coffee shops are sugary pastries and a bunch of empty calories. Service was friendly and personable. Communitea shows its dedication to being a warm, welcoming third-space environment. There is a shelf filled with board games and a kids play area (if you have one of those). They have assorted merchandise like coffee beans, plants, mugs, chips & snacks, etc.. There were flyers for all types of events throughout the month. I don't often write reviews I don't even live anywhere near Brea, but I would love to see this business thrive if not expand.

The baristas were very friendly and accommodating and added extra syrup to try and help my latte and offered to switch it out for me too; in the end I opted for a refund. I tried their iced pumpkin latte with salted maple cold foam (the foam was delicious) but just way too bitter espresso for my liking. Otherwise, they have a good amount of indoor seating with plenty of room for strollers - it's very kid friendly here. They have a kids toy play area in the back corner along with a game chest!!! & There is a restroom available inside and everything was pretty clean too.

This is my 5-6th time here and Ive finally perfected my order!…read more Pros: To start off, today I got the Iced Vanilla Latte and it's my new go-to! It's incredibly delicious and perfect this us my second day in a row here. My friend usually gets a flavored Matcha which is great, but got a Peach barley tea and said it was refreshing. The service is good, they get the drinks out fast. The menu has unique specialty options aswell. There is a good amount of seating and it's a very welcoming shop. Cons: -The sizing is very small for the price. A plain vanilla latte is $6.40 which is a bit steep. However, I understand that most cafes are pretty pricey now a day. (With that being said this is one of the only places i'd spend my money on.) -I have tried some of their specialty lattes and they are extremely sweet(I would recommend getting less sweet if youre more of a espresso person) -Parking is pretty terrible apart from early mornings Overall: The pros overlook the cons for me and I love this coffee shop! Worth the drive and is definitely my top 3. I would definitely recommend this place.

This café is located in a large shopping plaza with three coffee shops right next to each other…read more There's also an In-N-Out and Fogo de Chão nearby, so parking can get pretty packed during busy hours, although the plaza itself has a large parking lot. The café has a bright, cozy, and minimalist atmosphere with warm wood tones and soft pink accents. The space is clean and well maintained. They also have a nice selection of pastries and breads, including different kinds of croissants and salt bread. I ordered The Usual, their cream-top latte. The cream was very thick and heavy, almost like whipped cream, so I think it may be a matter of personal preference. The coffee itself was decent, but I didn't find the flavor particularly unique or memorable. The staff were friendly and the service was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I didn't find anything particularly special about the coffee itself.

Omg! I just moved to the North OC area, and I'm happy to say I've found one of my new go-to coffee…read moreshop study spots in the area! :) I'm currently studying for a big exam, and it's been surprisingly challenging finding coffee shops to study at with the beautiful, modern, aesthetic ambience that makes me happy, without feeling anxious there won't be enough seats or space when I get there, esp since I have to drive a decent amount to get to cafes. I've been getting a little stir crazy at home and finally making the trek here was so worth it-- I felt more motivated than ever to get work done with a tasty treat. I'm not sure if it's because CSUF just started this week, or because I came on a Friday morning, but it was really spacious and open with tons of outlets (almost at each table). Not sure how other days are, but I'd love to bring my study group friends here in the future, since it's so hard to find places with enough space for study groups! Not to mention the clean bathroom haha and good wifi haha The staff here is also incredibly sweet and friendly, making it a comfortable and good experience. Because it was my first time, I asked the barista about her recommendation, and she also asked my general preferences to cater to my taste, and I ended up with a seasonal Birthday Cake Americano at half sweetness (since I don't have much of a sweet tooth). It was perfect for me! I don't usually get Americanos and have a sensitive stomach rn, but it was delicious and kind on my stomach lol. I also got a ham and cheese croissant, and maybe it could've been heated up a little more, but I did wait a bit to eat it, so it was no big deal. The other barista was also so sweet in answering my many questions haha The only struggle as others have mentioned is the parking - I ended up parking at the retail parking nearby, which had plenty of spots but can get pretty pricey, and it sounds like you can park in the areas others have mentioned still (like The Hub I guess has "New Here" parking spots or the employee parking spots?), so I'll need to look more next time. But there's quite a bit around the area within walking distance, you can easily make a day out of it too. Also since it is at the first floor of an apartment in a college town, there will be students going in and out, so just be prepared for that haha -- reminded me of dorm days, and I'm glad students have a spot like this :) Overall, the yummy coffee, amazing vibe and beautiful ambiance, especially as a study spot, alongside the kind and comfortable service has been just what I've been looking for in a coffee shop around here, and I'm excited to return! Thank you New Here!

Vanilla Thesis is the best better than probably all the rest…read moreThe coffee is so tasty Not nasty or pasty Their cheese and ham croissant is also bomb better than being made by mom One thing to note about this place, the parking sucks. But fear not, you can go into the structure, park in one of the "employee only" spots, and just tell them which spot and you're golden (wish I knew that before I came and parked across the street). Also, another reason why this place is great is that it's not full at all. Might be because of the parking situation, but the place is near empty which makes it have a nice luxury vibe. Their Vanilla Thesis drink at 50% sweet is soooo good. It's a great blend of coffee and tastes great. You can totally taste the vanilla. Their ham and cheese croissant is also great.

It's a lot more fragrant and stronger than Project Oolong for their oolong but Molly Tea still stronger and more fragrant in terms of their jasmine tea intensity. I was interested in their jasmine green milk but they only offer milk with creamer. I nornally prefer my drinks either pure tea or maybe a splash of milk. No sugar or cream as I personally it masks the tea form. Same goes for coffee- just black and occasionally iced! The server even offered to make the jasmine green latte, the one that comes with milk and creamer, and if I didn't enjoy it he can make me pure tea. So nice! But knowing exactly what I want, I didn't want to waste the tearistas time and servers time I just got the pure tea! You can feel you want you to love your drink. With that said, I'll keep coming back for pure teas when I'm shopping in Brea

I admit to not listening well when I assumed they called my name. I realized this and told the employee, Jillian, and apologized. She gave me a look and said "...OK" I tried to laugh it off and said sorry again. When she called my order, she put it in the bag, unsealed, no straws, pushed/slid the bag to me then walked away. I get it's a Monday and it was almost noon, but you can't have that kind of attitude for something like this. I've been here a few times and have had employees hand me the bag, ask me if I need one and even put straws in the bag for me. Maybe she had a rough start, but didn't need to show it to customers. Hoping the next visit will not have to interact with her or employees like this.
