Found the restaurant via the Find Me GF app and glad I did. Manager greeted us on the way in, she was a delight. Sat upstairs near the bar. Food - outstanding. Service - outstanding. Ambience - outstanding. Plenty of dishes to lose yourself in as well as the cocktails. Catered well to our allergies and food was piping hot. An unpretentious spot with a great menu. Also the parking situation is good too. Private parking in Miami is not common. No idea why people are only putting 4/5. It's in the Michelin guide for a reason and exceeded expectations. Can't wait to come back! read more

Food was delicious. Service was great. It is a difference combination of flavors. The ambiance was nice too. It is worth it to try

We recently went back and had an awesome experience. We tried the seared octopus which was the best I've ever had!!! I got the edamame hummus, which tbh wasn't as great as i remembered but was still good I especially love the tostones. I got the yp noodles which were fire and very filling! Someone got the duck and two others shared the short rib ramen (sundays only). They all raved about their dishes. Thanks to our server for the great service and the non stop water fills! read more

So your probably wondering, what the Phuc was I thinking picking this place. I'll tell you why, when looking up Best Restaurants in Miami this one was at the top of my List. Best Vietnamese Food in the City and one of those Special Food Gems. Phuc means Blessings and Prosperity in Vietnamese, meaning something that's Positive. Well I was positive that I was gonna have a great Meal with my brother, once we finished up out Boat Tour, explored the Bayside Marketplace and cruising through downtown to the Little Haiti area. Smack dab in the middle of Biscayne Boulevard, we parked in the back lot and made out way up the Stairs into the main Dining Room. We were sat down near the Bar area and our Server Ani told us some of the Specials. I started off with a Cocktail called Say Gay which was a bright Orange drink topped with a few Mint Leaves that was Spicy, Tart and Tropical. Flavors of Passionfruit, Hibiscus and Thai Bird Chilies that packed that potent Punch and with Peloton Espadin Mezcal. For out Appetizers we split a Seafood Ceviche (1st taste of Seafood this entire Trip) consisting of Octopus, Shrimp and Bay Scallops mixed with Jicama, Cucumber, Thai Basil, Lemongrass, Nuoc Cham and Lime. Super Fresh and clean tasting with Lime to squeeze over to brighten it up. Next was Crispy Chicken Wings that were coated in a savory Caramel with Fish Sauce, also had some Crispy Tostones to munch on too. Next up was a plate of Spicy Dumplings that were filled with Pork & Shrimp that had Oven Roasted Confit Tomatoes (melt in your Mouth) and a Szechaun Peppercorn Sauce that had some Heat to it. For our Entrees, Nathan got their Buttermilk Fried Chicken (that was marinated in Cajun Spices) with Hot Honey and Sriracha Aioli and topped with a Spicy Watermelon Salad. He said it was one of the Best Fried Chicken dishes that he's ever had. Meanwhile, I got their Masitas de Puerco, which was a 5-Spice Crispy Pork Belly with Shaved Red Onion, Tomato, Lemongrass Sate (sauce that is Garlicky and Spicy), Nuoc Cham and Herbage. 2 Proteins that were both Flavorful and Crispy that we both could not get enough of. Halfway through I told Ani that I would like to try the Bartender's Drink of Choice special. What came in a Martini glass was a drink consisting of Espresso Liqueur, Oregano Syrup and Candied Orange Peel on a Stick. It was a pretty strong mid-dinner Drink, but I handled it with Ease. For dessert, the choices were either a Croissant Bread Pudding or a 5-Spice Carrot Cake, neither of which I was interested in. I saw on their Menu a while back that they had a dessert called Tony in Vietnam, which was something honoring Anthony Bourdain (Best Travel Host ever) and his favorite place to visit in the World, but suffice it to say, it was no longer on the Menu at the time. So I had to settle for a B-Lated Birthday Shot consisting of Rum and Lime Juice in a tall shot glass, the Bar was even kind enough to make a Non-Alcoholic one for Nathan. We slugged them down and them shortly after the rain had passed we headed back to our Hotel. But let me tell you, one of the Best Restaurants of the 305, best place for me to have my B-Lated Birthday Dinner. They treated us with so much Care, great Blessings and Prosperity, they even took a Picture of us together as a Memory. They did such an Extraordinary Job, they did not Phuc it up one bit. !!! read more

12/10- everything from decor to ambiance to service to cuisine to drinks was absolute perfection. Don't sleep on the mushrooms, short rib, and watermelon salad. Me and my wife decided after seeing this place on cooking channel food is amazing and selection is definitely not at other locations. Ambience is nice but music was a little loud but not obnoxious. Place has wheel chair access and they have room for parties. We tried the sancocho pho( soup) only served on Sunday. Very good and also tried the edamame hummus liked it too. Place said they had a dress code but when we were there people were not following it read more

I have been here multiple times and it is easily one of if not my favorite restaurant. However last night I had the absolute pleasure to have David taking care of my table. One thing is to provide great service but David gave us a great experience. He is truly a great asset to the team. In regard to the back of the house, the food is mind blowing, so much flavor. It is a little pricey but when you account for the whole experience between the food, the ambiance, and the service it's well worth it. I had a great phucing time, will be revisiting very soon. read more

After a long time of wanting to try Phuc Yea, I finally made it. I have more feelings about my experience. The place is super cute. The service was good. The food on the other hand was very good or just very blah. We ordered the daily special dumplings, which were made of short rib. I didn't like the dumplings. The "cha gio" aka crispy imperial rolls on the other hand were amazing. I wish I would've gotten 2 orders of these. As our main entrees, we got the smoked bone in short ribs, the char siu black cod that came recommend by the server and the millionaire fried rice. The rice was a 10/10 but the other entrees were just okay in my opinion. I was not impressed with the flavors. For dessert we had the bread pudding which sounded amazing but it also was disappointing. The dessert took forever, we almost cancelled it but by the time we got the servers attention he arrived with the dessert. I think the dessert was sitting out for a while because it was pretty cold but we just gave up by that point. I was so sad because I love bread pudding. I would give it another chance but I would order other items on the menu. read more

I liked the blending of modern Vietnamese flair with a hint of rebellious attitude. The smoked, bone-in short rib arrives like a centerpiece at a family gathering--tender, flavorful, and served with an array of accompaniments that beg to be mixed and matched. It might have landed with an even bigger punch if they'd turned up the heat a notch, but it still managed to be a dish you remember long after leaving. The cocktails were just as inventive, but my Mai Tai caught me off-guard with a mezcal backbone rather than the familiar warmth of rum. While having the bartender double as a server adds efficiency to the space, it also led to a few gaps in service, and our table occasionally drifted into the background. read more

Great food. Short rib with buns incredible. Everything we ordered was great. Good prices for value, rare in Miami nowadays.

Horrible food. Overpriced watery flavorless oxtails. Extremely sour weird tasting wings. Pork belly ceviche was soggy watery and sour. Only 1/2 decent menu item was the dumplings. If you want good Vietnamese/Asian food go to Tam Tam, Kyu, Azabu, or Double luck. The food might look presentable in photos but trust me when i say it's overpriced and poorly executed. I love this place. I've been there three times, and each time the experience holds up. Stylish and chic, hipster-friendly, but inviting and fun. Above all, the flavors stand out every time. The food is phenomenal. It is fusion done right! Before you read on - there is a small parking lot behind the restaurant!! Strongly recommend: Green Papaya Salad for its unique flavor combining crunch, sour acidity, unique fish sauce aroma - made us want to drink the sauce. Masitas de Puerco - a Miami staple, but done perfectly with the right amount of garnish, acid, & crispy-to-tender ratio. Millionaire Fried Rice - supercharging what can be a bland side dish & making it a stand out star w truffle & egg for the perfect creamy mouthfeel. Char Siu Black Cod might be the most mind-blowing thing on the menu presenting an incredibly flaky & delicate cod with the depth of flavor of a chewy & gooey Char Siu pork rib. A combo I wouldn't think could be pulled off so successfully. Almost every cocktail I've had is superior. The Americano Coconut-washed Campari highball was the 1st reason I recommended this restaurant to all cocktail aficionados. Sadly, that has been removed from the menu - so enjoy you fav cocktails here while you can. They are really well mixed & the more experimental they look (usually a caution warning), the better they are. We tried: Say Gay Phuong's Den She's Got Bite And, a special order Spritz of the coconut-washed Campari from their left-over batch after I shed a tear lamenting my fav discontinued drink. The service has always been great - regardless of how full it has been, the unique restaurant layout, or even special requests. The restaurant's name & the Namio Harukawa art work in the downstairs restrooms are such a great signal's of what this place is about. A little irreverent, subverting expectations, daring & provocative - but presented in a familiar & almost disarming format. I hope Phuc Yea keeps it's spirit for years! read more

Phuc Yea has been on my list for over 5 years and I am embarrassed it took me this long to give it a shot! I really enjoyed the entire experience from the atmosphere and decor to the service and the food - everything was phenomenal. Our waiter Omar was very friendly and personable and upon greeting us made sure we understood the concept of the restaurant and even suggested the most popular items including some of his personal favorites. The standout dish was the short ribs, they were incredible and packed with flavor. We paired the short ribs with pickled vegetables and bao buns as well as the PY garlic noodles. As an appetizer we also ordered the spicy dumplings. For just the two of us, this was plenty of food. I can't wait to come back and try more! The only reason why this is falling short of a 5 star experience is because the area we were sitting in was uncomfortably cold, and unfortunately the second the food came out it was so cold that nothing stayed warm. This didn't matter because the food was so delicious still but we prefer our food to arrive and stay piping hot. Overall, I would definitely recommend to my friends and family. I look forward to returning soon to try more dishes like the crispy rolls and the millionaire fried rice. read more

The service was amazing! Initially we sat at the bar while we waited for our entire party to arrive. The bartender had a great personality and recommended us drinks as well as his favorite food items on the menu. Our server was also kind and attentive and delivered great service. We really didn't know what to expect when we walked into the dimly lit lobby but we found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and ambiance. Went here for Friday Happy Hour and dinner. The team was friendly and welcoming and seated us where we could enjoy happy hour and dinner without moving. Love the low key vibe here. The music was great and just the right volume to allow for conversation. Staff was so accommodating as we ended up wanting to move from our original high top seats to a regular table for dinner. They even brought a side table for my friend's purse! We tried two cocktails ...PY's take on a margarita and a mezcalita .... The first was reminiscent of a green juice as it does contain cucumber cilantro. The second was made with passionfruit and really hit the spot! We were still pretty full from lunch so unable to try the Miami Spice menu . We ordered wings, fried pork, and bao buns. As always delicious. read more

Parking is in back! Dining on the second floor. Deliciousness everywhere. I would suggest starting with a cocktail. I was blown away by the creativity and excellence of each one. We had the traditional imperial rolls and and a n order of wings. The rolls were very good and the wings had a nice caramelization. For dinner we shared the whole fish which was excellent and I would have preferred better serving and sharing utensils. That said the stuffing of cilantro and lime in the fish definitely impacted the overall flavor. Yum and yum! read more

Management is horrible and extremely rude to customers. I had a horrible experience with her and even reprimanded me for taking the time when she can be assisting others! Cute and big spot in the heart of MiMo! Came for a Friday night dinner, and was easy to get a resy and get seated. The interior design of this place was great and funky. Plenty of free parking in the back. The waitress gave us an explaination of how the menu works, and she said it was tapas style and 2-3 plates pp (I think the portions is big enough to share for sure!). We ordered some drinks (the mezcalita and the bourbon). We got the papaya salad (delicious, could use a little more lime, but still great), and the pork dumplings as starters, and then did the fried chicken (sooo delicious and perfect amount of sweetness to savory and the mayo-ketchup sauce was delish!), side of tostones (although the server said Bao buns are recommended, which also seems like a good option, and the braised oxtail (it was one huge piece, and the broth was a little too salty and thick, but oxtail was cooked perfectly). There was so much food, we had to take home. They only have Pho on Sundays as a Vietnamese tradition, so be aware of that since it doesn't get mentioned anywhere. They also have a big braised short rib to share with a big table that comes with a couple sides, so that's great if you have a group. Great vibes and food! read more

This place is cool! I felt like I was maybe in the east village in NYC, in a good way. The vibes and decor are very appealing and you don't necessarily feel like you're in Miami. The staff is warm and friendly (it was annoying to wait for our table- when they finally seated us there were many open tables available so not sure why we waited unless they were pacing the chef- but this is my only minor gripe.) The food is creative and both reminded me of my trip to Vietnam and reminded me of all the best fusion experiences I've had in Miami. I love when food is served tapas style and the octopus, the watermelon salad, and the slow cooked giant short rib were standouts! Truly a fun place to enjoy-don't miss it! read more

The place is a hole in the wall which is super nice... parking is confusing in the back only one side it seems. They took us in sat us and all was super so far. Server was good but obviously busy as it was full, although small area. I had to ask for chopsticks twice after waiting 10 min (mind you I had to use mine because our table was lopsided and server had already spilled a part of my drink because of it) , asked twice for hot-sauce, and the free shots from posting on story's. The server was super kind gave us a small drink instead. The food was in my opinion not Michelin star, I feel if I go to my Colombian restaurant 5 min from home Fonda sabaneta and 107 taste mix it it would be close lol the difference part is the meat but it's maybe 8oz or less and rest is fat and skin so why it's $80+ I do not understand. Would I travel from Kendal to Biscayne for this... sorry but no. Maybe there are other amazing plates we just didn't get it. read more

Wonderful experience and maybe one of the most creative menus I've tried in Miami! The decor and vibe of this place can't be beat, and every dish we tried featured a unique combination of ingredients- really nothing basic here! my highly recommends: broccoli bao, spicy dumplings, fish caramel chicken wings, and the PY noodles. Only thing I would do differently is maybe balance our meal out with more veggies/fresh sides; the entrees were super decadent, but other than that would love to repeat this meal! read more

Phuc Yea is a modern and conceptual Vietnamese restaurant and Michelin awarded the Bib Gourmand designation in 2022. This restaurant does not serve traditional pho and all dishes are meant to be shared. [Parking]: Easy and free private parking lot behind the restaurant. [Amenities & Service]: Our party arrived 30 minutes before our 9 PM reservation and we just waited at the waiting lounge. I was not a fan of herbal aroma in the waiting area as I felt slightly nauseating after I had smelled it. Our party did get a table exactly at 9 PM and service was alright. By default our party got Vero Water and it was $1 charge per person. Auto 20% service charge was included to our total amount. *** Crispy Imperial Roll (shrimp, pork, woodear mushroom, carrot, jicama, nước chấm, lettuce bundles, mint - $18): Extremely small portion and it tasted just a-ok. Green Papaya Salad (crispy shallot, dried shrimp, dried squid, carrot, peanuts, herbage, nước chấm - $17): The dish exploded with both vinegary and cilantro flavors. Curry Rigatoni (duck confit, red curry, coconut cream, pineapple, hazelnut crumble, herbage - $26): Another alright dish, but I could taste a hint of duck confit. Caramel Chicken Wings (fish sauce caramel, lemongrass, sesame, pickles - $18): It was probably one of the best dishes for the night with excellent sauce on chicken wings. Duck Confit (winter spiced duck confit. quarter leg, sesame ginger, grilled clementine, radicchio, hazelnut crumble - $28): Really salty sauce. P.Y. Noodles (signature noodle, egg noodles, garlic butter, oyster sauce, parmesan - $18): This tapa-sized noodle had a decent flavor profile, but noodle tasted salty. The dish got slightly less salty as saltiness started to build up. Smoked Bone In Short Rib (pho spiced hickory smoked whole beef short rib with fish sauce caramel, sesame, herbage - market price [$64 as of July 2023] & steamed bao buns for $7 and home made pickles for $7): Honestly without this dish, our party would probably leave the restaurant still feeling half hungry. This dish was the saving grace - yes I couldn't really taste pho flavor, but short rib was tender and filling. *** It was quite an expensive experience for mediocre food. The only two highlights were Caramel Chicken Wings and Smoked Bone In Short Rib. Personally tapa-style just doesn't work well for Asian cuisine and everyone at our table was stunned by how the signature P.Y. Noodles had such a tiny portion (we had two orders and the portion was barely enough for one solid bite for a party of six). For out-of-town visitors, this is not a must-visit restaurant in Miami. Just know that you are ONLY here for novelty or just come here for a date night (romantic atmosphere). read more

My wife and I decided to be ourselves and not do the "fancy" thing for our 26th anniversary, and instead find somewhere unique. Phuc Yea was exactly what we were looking for. Not only were the pre-meal drinks spot on, the food was, in our mind, elevated to a Michelin Star level without the snooty pretentiousness. The smoked braised short ribs were in my mind the only "expensive" dish I've ever had that was 100% worth the price. The Chef definitely knows what he's doing and has the backing of a top notched professional staff to back it up. To give the staff that we met praise, Omar was the best server we've ever had, and the mixologist Daniel at the bar made every drink with distinct perfection. read more

What's in a name? "PHUC" sounds so much different from how an English speaking person would pronounce the word but I think this is why this restaurant chose this name is to get one's attention. It sure did to me! But never you mind how "phuc" is really pronounced but if you must know here's a YouTube link: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GV_n4aDs6qo Phuc Yea was one of the 29 restaurants worthy of the The MICHELIN Guide's Bib Gourmand designation, which recognizes great food at a great value so Phuc yea! Why not... we ordered small bites: Caramel Chicken Wings and P.Y. Noodles.... I can't pinpoint the highlight of the wings, was it the lemongrass? Perhaps the fish sauce caramel? Whatever it was the wings were delicious! The noodles seemed a little dry... i would've preferred a little more garlic butter but it was still very good. We didn't have any reservations but we were able to dine in. We were seated at the bar. Great staff! Tax and 20% tip are automatically included to ALL checks... they charge $1 for water too! Dang! Phantastic meal, service, and vibes! Will absolutely be back! Very early in the meal I announced that this might be my new favorite Miami restaurant and I continued to feel that way throughout the meal. The appetizers were delicious (the spring rolls were an absolute standout!! And the pasta topped with a mountain of cheese was divine) Fried chicken was incredible! Super interesting flavor and served with a delicious sauce and refreshing watermelon We also got the short rib which was pricy but just fell of the bone. And the papaya salad was a great refreshing salad to serve alongside the meats. Would recommend going at the tail end of happy hour to get happy hour drinks and prices and then go into your meal. read more
