Eye Round Steak Pho Noodle Soup
    Amber B.

Simple menu that is easy to order. Plenty of apps and shared plates besides just pho. The restaurant situation is order food before you sit down. Service here is always so quick. I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes for my food to be served. Get the pork banh mi sliders, you will not be disappointed. So much flavor in each bite. First time ever trying a bao buns, it's looks doughy but it pulled so easily. Steak was plentiful in the pho. All toppings are served on the side which I appreciated as I do not put everything. Good portions overall, but pho size is meant for one.

Sara bowl with green Tea passion fruit drink Omg delicious!!! So fresh tastes amazing! A must try! Friendly employees too!

Delicious and fresh! Service was great! Leave your things on the table when your done and they take care of and clean tables really good for next customers.

There she is opening the door for people thinking it's close. Both doors were locked
    Yanahi J.

First of all when we were trying to come in the door was locked and a few people were waiting in front of us at the door. We couldn't see anyone at the counter so one of the customers that was sitting by the door had to get up and opened it for us. When I go to the line I told the lady the door was locked and we couldn't come in, she said it was closed because it's too cold. We ordered a large bowl of pho with eye round steak, they gave us a ton of broth a few noodles and a few pieces of meat. Not worth it. Over priced for the amount of pho they serve. Then we ordered a pork sandwich that was cold and soggy. The meat inside the sandwich was cold and cut into huge pieces. I couldn't eat this. Very disappointed with the food and customer service. Won't be coming back!

Veggie Pho Noodle Soup...fried egg .....etc...
    Mical D.

Vegetable Pho was amazing. I usually get it with white rice instead of the noddles. But it was yummy as is Vegetables were soft how I love. And the Tofu, was actually cooked (I cannot stand squishy white tofu) And they made it perfect!!! Thank you phonatic for a great experience. From the bok choy, to the herbs and mushrooms & carrots ...to the seasoning. I requested my egg to be fried hard, and it was runny. But I still give 5 stars Side note: I love the new take out containers! So much safer

Chicken Pho Noodle Soup Pork Spring Roll
    Daniela R.

I ordered takeout and the packaging was really convenient and no spills. The food was good but the pork spring roll was very loose and not tightly wrapped along with the dried stale noodles in it. The chicken pho I got was good but the broth was missing flavor, I added some salt and fixed it

    Lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl
    Amanda M.

Egg rolls were the best thing here. My vermicelli bowl with lemongrass beef was underwhelming. The meat tasted old and more teriyaki than anything. The meat to noodle/veggie ratio is low. If I'm in the mood for a vermicelli bowl, I won't return.

    The 403! My favorite!
    Courtney B.

The other day I came into this Phonatic for the first time. I usually frequent the Round Rock location on University. I ordered the 403 and two Pat's plates. This review will focus on the Pat's plate: This dish is roughly based on the Bún tht nng which is a dish that essentially has rice noodles, meat and grilled and ch giò (spring rolls). I have had this dish many times in Vietnam and other American Vietnamese establishments. The meat for this dish missed the mark as it was grisly and had an uneven dispensing of flavor which is unfortunate as the rice and egg for this dish cannot carry it alone. I will go back but will not order this dish again.

    Mariel V.

Always clean and food comes out pretty fast. I love their broth and no matter what I order I get a big bowl of it to go. Their chicken tacos are amazing!!! It's huge and evenly prepared (meat to veggie ratio) & delicious. The Banh My sliders were fantastic too. It's fusion style because the peking bun is Chinese. They have a lot of addition on their menu and I'm enjoying them.

The highlight for this food place are their fresh, flavorful Pho with tender meats, excellent egg rolls, good Banh Mi, and attentive service. Some may find it slightly pricey but I feel the value is fair. I love the homemade broth and generous portions, making it a very good spot for authentic Vietnamese food. Meat portions are generous, especially the tender brisket and rare steak in Pho. Good portions, often enough for two meals, making it feel worth the price. Huge, well-filled egg rolls are a big hit. Decent, fresh, classic ingredients, especially Pho and sandwich. I easily noticed their quick, attentive, and polite staff. The restaurant exudes a bright, modern, and clean atmosphere. A point for consideration: when ordering, use the number/letter code instead of the food name to prevent any mistakes. My son who happens to be a vegan ordered a vegan Banh Mi (Banh Mi Chay) which has almost the same food name as a pork Bahn Mi (Banh Mi Cha Lau). They served a pork Bahn Mi, it took some time for my son to realize that he was eating a pork sandwich. It was partly a mistake from both sides, we did not blame the restaurant. The restaurant manager/owner was kind enough to give my son a complimentary fresh vegan Banh Mi upon everybody realizing the mistake. I was glad that my son never had a stomach upset that night. Despite the mishap, I am still giving this restaurant a high rating. One of the best Pho I have ever tasted.

It looked like they expanded their menu since the last time we ate here. We opted for a Shoyu Beef Ramen Soup and a Hot Pot Beef Noodle Soup. We chose a location away from the front entrance, which faces west towards the sun. Our food was quickly brought out to us less than 5 minutes later, and our soups were very good. They have a very spicy broth for their Hot Pot Noodle Soup, which P2 really enjoyed. I was also happy with my shoyu ramen, which I thought was seasoned perfectly. The music here wasn't loud and it was easy to carry a conversation. The interior aesthetics of this place reminded me of a Japanese restaurant, despite this restaurant servicing Taiwanese fare. Unfortunately, they don't sell alcohol here. I would have loved to drink a beer here with its solid vibes. I took off a star because of the blinding sunlight that pours into the space. Each time we came, we had to be strategic on where we sat so that we or our friends didn't have to face the sun. But other than that, Noodly Alley continues to be a reliable choice for authentic Taiwanese food.

It took about 15 minutes for our pho to come out, a long time to wait from what we're used to from other Vietnamese restaurants (usually 5 min). But when we tried the broth, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was enjoyable. I noticed that the broth wasn't as thick and packed with flavor as in other Vietnamese restaurants; it was pleasant and drinkable. I usually have a hard time finishing the pho broth because it's too rich in fat, but I liked how I could do so at King Noodle. They also added a good amount of noodles and meat. We noticed that the meat was precooked before being added to the broth, so it was hard to tell if the meat was fresh. We also tried their jasmine green tea. I would avoid it as they just use a cheap tea bag in a teapot and charge $2 for it. We were impressed at their extensive Chinese menu and would like to revisit to try out some of those dishes!

The staff was nice but it did take a while for everything to come out. Peppermint Pandan Latte / Sam Dua Bac Ha ($6.95) + Crystal Boba ($0.95): We got this at 75% sweet and it was delicious. You can distinctly taste both the peppermint and pandan and it was really refreshing. Matcha Lover ($8.75): We got this at 75% sweet as well. It is a matcha latte with matcha foam, matcha pudding, and matcha mochi. We were not huge fans of this one. The foam was really thick and creamy which made it hard to mix, and the drink had a strange taste that we think came from the flour on the matcha mochi. I think it would have been better if we had eaten the mochi off the top first before mixing everything together. Popcorn Chicken ($8.75): This was okay. They used a different type of batter than what I am used to and it was pretty bland. I didn't like the chili dipping sauce either. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is still way better to me. Mixed Soft Rice Paper With Full Topping / BT Phoi Suong Full Topping ($14): This was our first time having banh trang tron with dried meat and seafood toppings. It also came with a sliced hard boiled egg instead of quail eggs. Very interesting and different. I really wished it came with tamarind sauce because that was the one flavor I felt was missing and would have tied everything together. The portion size also felt a bit small for the price.
