Of the afternoon so quite slow. Employees were eating. I stood looking at the menu for three minutes or so and one of them got up and took my order Service adequate. I ordered half of a Banh mi-pork and half bowl pho. I requested no cilantro on either one. My order was delivered about five minutes later and there was no cilantro in sight. I find that awesome as that little detail is often overlooked. The sandwich was better than expected on warm fresh crispy French baguette, a little bit of pickle veg, lots of pork. It had some type of Asian male on it as well. It was really good.. The pho on the other hand was a huge disappointment. I used to come in 3 to 4 times a week and order it. It was absolutely a staple. And was really tasty.. I haven't been in for about a year as the last time I came in Service was poor and the food was really not good either.Tje pho today had I have Round as the protein along with rice noodle and chopped green onion lots of fresh basil and beans sprouts on the side. The sprouts were already turning brownish and indication of lack of, but my big complaint was that the broth to the Pho, which is usually what it's all about had very little to no flavor. I don't know what it is, but the broth for the pho at this location is just not right. It is missing something, but I don't know what it is. The service is passable, much better than the RR location. However, eat at this franchise at your own risk. I have a strong suspicion that the RR location gave me food poisoning. I have always wondered why California and some other states require restaurants to post health ratings on the door (or somewhere prominent). I then decided to look up health scores for both Phonatic locations. Suffice to say, neither location performed well. Simple menu that is easy to order. Plenty of apps and shared plates besides just pho. The restaurant situation is order food before you sit down. Service here is always so quick. I don't think I waited more than 5 minutes for my food to be served. Get the pork banh mi sliders, you will not be disappointed. So much flavor in each bite. First time ever trying a bao buns, it's looks doughy but it pulled so easily. Steak was plentiful in the pho. All toppings are served on the side which I appreciated as I do not put everything. First of all when we were trying to come in the door was locked and a few people were waiting in front of us at the door. We couldn't see anyone at the counter so one of the customers that was sitting by the door had to get up and opened it for us. When I go to the line I told the lady the door was locked and we couldn't come in, she said it was closed because it's too cold. We ordered a large bowl of pho with eye round steak, they gave us a ton of broth a few noodles and a few pieces of meat. Not worth it. Over priced for the amount of pho they serve. Then we ordered a pork sandwich that was cold and soggy. The meat inside the sandwich was cold and cut into huge pieces. I couldn't eat this. Very disappointed with the food and customer service. This review will focus on the Pat's plate: This dish is roughly based on the Bún tht nng which is a dish that essentially has rice noodles, meat and grilled and ch giò (spring rolls). I have had this dish many times in Vietnam and other American Vietnamese establishments. The meat for this dish missed the mark as it was grisly and had an uneven dispensing of flavor which is unfortunate as the rice and egg for this dish cannot carry it alone. Always clean and food comes out pretty fast. I love their broth and no matter what I order I get a big bowl of it to go. Their chicken tacos are amazing!!! Pats Place is not pictured but it's a MUST every time. Just imagine a rice bowl with the super savory marinated pork, a fried egg, fried spring roll and pickled veggies. My God, so good! The food is still delicious I love the veggie pho. The main part of the restaurant was clean and pleasant to be in. Everything else however has gone down hill rapidly. First, there is no real human contact. You step up to a machine and order your food. There are no options to leave something out like onions. Do I want to tip? No, no one helped me. They used to have a rewards program. They canceled it and said they have a new elusive one no one really understands. You certainly dont earn points for ordering at the machine (you're forced to order at), and if you ask someone to give you your points later, they run around trying to figure it out but never do. The bathrooms at this location are a disaster. In the first stall, the toilet wouldn't flush, there was no soap and there was trash everywhere. I went to the second stall to wash my hands. Thankfully, though covered In trash as well, there was soap here. No idea if that toilet flushed, I didn't want to look. When I got my food, they just hurriedly handed me the bag and left. No words were spoken, no thank yous. If Phonatic wasn't the only place I know of that serves veggie pho, I would stop coming to all of their locations. read more

In the past, we have frequented this business at least once a month. The food has been great but every time we go we do not experience welcoming vibe. This past experience we came almost an hour before closing and the cashier expressed and reiterated in a rude way that no matter what at 9pm or closing, we would be walking out whether we were finished with our food or not. Been here quite a few times and it's always good and what you'd expect. Food comes out pretty fast and it's always consistent. I normally get the vermicelli with chicken and half noodles. To be honest, I think I could split it with someone as I never finish it all. You can add a drink and egg roll for $3 so I normally do that. I'm happy they they added kids plates to their menu. My son got a pork bahn mi sandwich. I don't think he cared much for the French loaf it was served on. Nothing wrong with the bread as I've had the bahn mi several times - he just doesn't like crunchy bread. My wife always get the pho. Always good. Just as General MacArthur promised to return to the Philippines, I swore to return to PhoNatic. And I did, though with a lot less fanfare. Even though the traditional nuoc mom (fish sauce) is very washed out, probably to avoid scaring off casual diners, I have to bump my rating up to 5 stars. PN is clean, fast, and reasonably priced given the portion sizes. This time, I went straight to the soup and entrees. The 'Filet Mignon Pho' is excellent, with a properly flavored Vietnamese beef broth and paper-thin slices of beef. This is their Cadillac of soups - you're paying for the tenderness of the beef cut - but the excellent broth would be fine with Eye of Round or Brisket steak slices as well. The best deal on the menu (IMO) is 'Pat's Plate', which consists of grilled pieces of marinated pork shoulder, served with an egg roll and fried egg on jasmine rice. Based on how addictively good the pork is, I'm going to assume that they marinate it in soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and crack cocaine. Speaking of controlled substances, an extra shout-out for the Vietnamese iced coffee, which is sweetened with condensed milk to buffer the espresso blackness of the flavor. Delicious stuff. Definitely a must-try if you're jonesing for Vietnamese food in Cedar Park. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Worst experience ever. We ordered through Door dash and the order was wrong. We had missing items. We called immediately, the woman we spoke to was rude and even went as far as to accuse us of lying,"because broth is too large to forget." We never once asked for a discount or a refund just to come and get the broth that was forgotten. I am at a loss for words and how disrespectful and unprofessional she was. I told her ending our conversation, "if they have no communication with DoorDash, then how would she know if the woman that dropped our food off didn't have the bag with the broth in her car?" To top it all off when my husband came home with the broth and I had finally opened the container of pho, one was right, the brisket, mine was wrong! They have my veggie pho, zero chicken, with tofu. I ordered the 403 and was so happy to see they offered zucchini noodles instead of the egg noodles. The broth was great with the garlic, and I thought it was better than my wife's beef broth version. The shredded cabbage and chicken small plate needed more seasoning, and the pork spring rolls were rolled so loose that they fell apart while trying to pick them up for the first time. The staff are friendly, the service is fast, and I like that the prices are lower than some other places in the area, but you get what you pay for. The pho was nice and their packaging for takeout orders is wonderful but their meats are a bit tough, the meatballs were slightly pink in the middle, and one of the spring rolls had a hair in it.
