Cozy spot here, near Wilton off of Grant line Road. This is definitely my pace of environment. I arrive with a few guests and we were able to have conversation without shouting at each other like so many other restaurants. This place is very clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs refilling our waters as needed. The food was also very delicious including the photo I ordered and the spring rolls. I can't wait to go back there.
I've always seen this restaurant on my Yelp search for asian food. Didnt realize it was kinda out here in small townville. I'm exaggerating but thats what it feels like. I only noticed it because I was going to Willows post office...dont ask long story. So I stopped to finally try this restaurant. I didnt eat there because I had to get back to work. But the restaurant is a good size if you want to take family or friends. Its on the main road so you have to make sure you dont pass it. I ordered crispy rocket shrimp and a banh mi sandwich with chicken. If I knew that the sandwich would be so big, I would've split it with my daughter. I actually got her own banh mi too. I dont know about her but I couldn't finish mine. Large pieces of chicken and the right amount of flavor. We'll definitely have to come back and try other items on the menu.
Nice that there's a pho place near Wilton. (Pholicious borders Elk Grove and Wilton.) I tried the following: Pho Filet Mignon (P2), Crispy Egg Rolls (A1), and Spring Rolls (A2). I thought the pho was a bit on the pricier side for the portion of noodles. While the broth was on the oiler side, but the meat was very tender. The rolls were fine, but did not stand out from other places in my opinion. I very much enjoyed their chili oil - to me, it seemed to have a heavy garlic presence, which I liked. Friendly service. I will be back when in the area!
Coming from a rainy/hailing day in Tahoe we were looking for a pho spot on the way home. Found this spot and the reviews were promising. It's in a very random area deeep in Elk Grove and far off the freeway. We ordered the umami wings, flavor profile was viet fish sauce and it was pretty good, tasted even better when we squeezed lime on there. It was saucey, crispy, tangy and just the right amount of fish sauce, the added lime pulled all the flavors to balance it out. We also ordered the P2 pho filet mignon - I really liked the broth! Meat was tender and tasty. They have their own small parking lot around the building. Not sure if it gets busy but we came on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. Would come here again if it's on the way for us!
A solid Vietnamese place in Elk Grove. We wanted to try a Vietnamese restaurant that we haven't been to before so we decided on this place. They have their own parking lot but a bit small and narrow. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. Came here Sunday evening and they were busy. Luckily there was no wait. I got the grilled pork vermicelli combo. Flavor was good. Portion was decent. Good amount of pork. Service was friendly. They were busy so service was a bit slow and a bit lacking.
I decided to come here on New Year's Day with my friend around lunchtime. It kinda sucks that their location is really in the rural part of Elk Grove, but they seem to still get a lot of business, which is great! Their parking lot is on the smaller side. The restaurant is also pretty small, but at the time that we came, there was still space. They did seem to fill up quickly after us! The Elk Grove calendar also had a coupon which encouraged us to make our way out here. Our deal was a free appetizer with the purchase of two entries. We opted for crispy egg rolls and it was delicious! The egg rolls had the wrapper that is the delicate nest kind, which was crispy. It came out fresh and hot! There were 4 rolls that come with a side of fish sauce. The fish sauce wasn't too fishy, which I enjoyed. As for the pho, we both ended up getting the special (#1). It had a fair amount of meat and noodles. I was pretty full after finishing it. The soup was hot, which is good. The soup itself was lacking the flavor that I would have hoped...it's not as strong, hearty of a pho flavor (this is coming from someone whose mom cooks pho!) The pho does come with the side of fresh veggies. Staff were friendly! The restaurant was clean. Overall, it was a good experience!
Finally tried out this spot since we got some mail coupons it's definitely is further away from the house but glad the food was worth it. We got a chicken rice combo (come with grilled chicken, grilled shrimp and one of the egg rolls). My bf enjoy it and it was a lot of food. Also got the egg roll appetizer. They use a different type of wrapping that's soooo crunchy. Add a little bit of the pepper they got there and it was chef kissed. I also got a Hu Tieu Xa Xiu dry style as well. It come with a bowl of broth. We also got a pho broth on the side because the place is call Pholicious after all both broth was great. Really nice deep favor. The Hu Tieu Kho is ok. The sauce could be stronger - though I added like a lot of pickled jalapenos to it and then it was great Service was quick and easy. You'll go to the counter to pay. Take our order quickly and the food maybe take 15+ min to come out - I wish everything could come out together, or if the appetizer could came out first but I guess that's not a big deal. They also serve water with that crunchy ice which I like Slightly small so the whole spot was pretty full. They also had a lot of delivery going out but look like they do a pretty good job of taking care of those as well. I do need to return because on weekends they have different specials all the time and I'm really excited to try some of those different regional noodle soup, beef stew and bò né
Me and husband just wanted to try this since it's just few minutes from the house. We ordered to go.. Crispy Spring Rolls- it's okay it's not as crispy as we had from other restaurants . Rocket Shrimp-it's okay nothing special just shrimp wrap in wonton wrapper or spring roll. Bun Bu Hue- its more on lemon grass and taste plain and very simple broth. Overall good we've tried and friendly customer service. Place cute and bright
A little random pho restaurant in the least expected area off a busy road, in my pov. Always drive by & say I'll go try & now I have. Ordered a BBH, pho, and spring rolls. I'll just say I needed something to revive me when I went this morning. So couldn't even tell you if the BBH was flavorful. The spring rolls could use a bit more protein. I'll have to go again!
I can confirm pholicious is delicious. We ordered the tofu spring rolls and chicken wings to start. The tofu spring rolls were good and the peanut sauce was amazing, I wish I knew how they made the peanut sauce because it's damn good. Also, not sure why my husband ordered the tofu spring rolls since I'm sure there was probably a nem nuong/grilled pork version of the spring rolls but whatever tofu was fine anyway, but now I feel like I have to try the meat version next time. Okay but the chicken wings--excellent and kudos to the kitchen on making these crispy and sticky good tasting. Chicken wings were 5/5 Bun bo hue - their spicy beef noodle soup is a bit different from the version I'm used to but it was still pretty good. There's plenty of lemongrass and they had these pretty good meatballs in them. I would rate the bun bo hue 4/5 Pho ga - Chicken pho broth was really good but their noodles could have been a little better but overall the dish was still good. The service was quick, we were checked on, and staff were friendly. It's a small place inside and for coming on a Wednesday for dinner, they had a good amount of tables filed but they quickly cleaned each table as customers left. They have a lot of great items on their menu that we plan on coming back to try.

A Vietnamese restaurant on Grant Line? Wow -- what a great addition to the area! The food was pretty authentic and definitely hit the spot. I tried the pho, bun bo hue, and a vermicelli dish; all were good, flavorful, and satisfying. Service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, a solid spot for Vietnamese comfort food in Elk Grove. Would recommend!
3 stars: some hits and misses! - Pho filet minon: wowow the broth taste is deliciously ***bold*** in star anise flavor (checks out with the star anise aroma I smelled even from the parking lot ahaha). No watered-down pho broth nonsense here!! More fat could've been skimmed from the broth though (kinda greasy). Decently tender filet minon. - Bun bo hue: pretty disappointing (was really looking forward to trying the one here as I'm a bun bo hue fan). Zero tanginess from the broth and honestly the broth tastes like straightforward beef broth with some added spiciness. On the bright side, melt-in-your-mouth beef shank! - Umami bomb tofu: super tasty with the different layers of sweetness and saltiness, but the rubbery-skin style of tofu cubes are used here (not my fave), and with them being deep-fried, the corners are hard and sharp making the cubes kinda fussy to eat. Small cozy interior. Overall very neat that a Vietnamese food spot is in this part of EG, but wouldn't say that it's a must-try if you have easy access to Little Saigon in South Sac.
Ever since I stopped by for my very first time back in the spring, I have only ordered one thing from Pholicious - their bun bo hue. Believe me, I've been wanting to try their pho as well, but every single time, their BBH speaks to me. Simply put, it is a comforting hug in a bowl, filled generously with tender slices of meat, homemade meatballs, cha, pork blood cubes, and al dente noodles, all topped off with piping hot broth. It is served with a mountain of fresh herbs, and I always add extra chili oil and sate (that they keep in the fridge) for that extra oomph of flavor. While this location does not serve their BBH with a pork hock, I really don't care at all, because of how cohesive their bowls are every single time. Those homemade meatballs are really an element of the dish that I have not found at any other restaurants, even at BBH restaurants in the bay. Located right off Grant Line in the Sheldon area of Elk Grove, the restaurant is not big, but still has ample seating. The private parking lot has never been full when I've eaten there, but I also have never gone on a weekend. I usually enjoy coming when they very first open, and am always seated immediately. During lunch rush, I have noticed it can get pretty busy, with patrons dining in and to go orders alike. The owner is so nice and I rarely even look at the menu since I always know what I want. I don't usually order drinks as I like to get matcha in Elk Grove, but the one time I got a Thai tea, it was perfectly balanced with a good strength to it. Their menu on the whole is small, but still varied, so there is something for everyone's cravings. If you follow their Facebook page, they will announce weekend specials as well, so stay tuned for those. One day I swear I will try their pho, but for now, Pholicious is one of my top spots for BBH in the Sacramento area. I love supporting family-run businesses, and wish them nothing but continued success! read more
Stopped by Pholicious while visiting Fog Willow Farms and wanted something a little better than what they had to offer. We found this place, and it didn't disappoint! I had their special combination pho. The noodles had a nice chew, the meat was decent, and the broth was flavorful, although a little on the sweet side for my taste. Overall, a satisfying bowl of pho and a solid find in the area. I'd definitely hit this place up again the next time I visit Fog Willow Farms! read more

I listened to the hype and decided to finally give this place a try and this place is REALLY ALL ABOUT THE HYPE! I've had the privilege of not only trying this place not just once, but multiple times throughout the entire month as it was that addicting to eat here! You can find this spot at the very end of Elk Grove on the Grant Line road section, hidden far area from the busy city. The small restaurants seats decent, but what they make up for in space, they sure do not skimp out on flavor! The staff is super friendly and are always willing to share their passion on what goes into their food. The pho broth is absolutely flavorful. Clean, aromatic, and full of umami. I typically would converge all the sauces onto the bowl, but this was a broth that needed no additional preparation. I do recommend for spice lovers to try their homemade fresh chili oil as it packs a punch, but they also have dried chili oil in the back that you can request too. A major highlight is their eggrolls! I do not know what wrap or noodle they use to make these delicious pieces, but I've ordered an embarrassing amount that I'd gladly order all over again. Don't let the simplicity of this appetizer fool you, its full of flavor and textures. The fish sauce dip on the side to dip is just a chefs kiss to top it all off. read more
"Pho-chap-stick"......woowwww... "Lip-Treatment " with every sip. Yep, thats how flavorful and rich the broth is. -of course i have to start wi/a Dac Biet (**thats's the combo for all u non-native folks**) to see what this place is all about. Broth is darker than the competitors with glistening beef flavor, absolutely "Stunning ". Not about "trimming the FATS" here, full body flavorful pho.Meat was fresh and tender. - Ca Phe Su Da was on point. Simple and strong tasting. Some can't handle, but i need it to stay "Hype" all day. - Pho Filet Mignon was just as good. Same broth as the Dac Biet. -Leave the PhoLonely alone. Nawwww, skip it. Such a random spot for this pho restaurant but they seem to be doing well. The place was full for a Wednesday at dinner time so that's really great for them! Luckily we didn't have to wait for a table when we arrived. Service is efficient and fast. There's a little bit of everything on the menu but we came on a cold day so pho was the obvious answer. They don't do different sizes for pho here but the portion was just right for me. No shortage of meat and noodles! I had the filet mignon & bo vien combo. The broth was delicious! I also enjoyed their crispy egg rolls. Will definitely have to return for the vermicelli bowls! read more

I ordered the Special Combination Pho and it was delicious. This is the only pho restaurant in the area so I wasn't expecting much, but the flavor was good. The portion was small for the price since it was $19 and didn't come with much meat. Service was good as employees were friendly. Since the price was high and portions were small I would probably drive to Elk Grove for a better selection of pho restaurants. read more

Wow!!! Everything about it seemed so similar to Pho Bistro on Laguna! Well of course, the owners are related! No wonder the food is so delicious! I had my normal Pho Lonely. The broth was delicious and you get a ton of noodles. We also had the combo spring rolls and the pork plate over rice! Everything was amazing! The restaurant is a little smaller than Pho Bistro (I think?), but plenty of seating and ample parking outside. read more
My friends told me that I had to try this place so I went to lunch with them. It's in the Wilton area. The place had it's own parking lot so that was good. It didn't seem busy. Went in and there was one other table taken. The place is not that big. The server greeted us as we entered. I think my buddies come here a lot. The place was clean and looked nice. She brought over some menus. I wanted to try two things since I have not been here before. It is a drive from where I live too. I got the combination pho and the pork banh min. The pho looked pretty good. The soup was ok and it had a lot of stuff in it. Not bad. The banh mi bread was toasted and crunchy. I am not a real fan of this since the bread would go stale if I didn't eat it right away. Didn't seem fresh. The meat was ok and flavorful. My buddy let me try his egg roll . they fry the thin wrapping and it was unique. I will have to bring my wife and try more stuff then. read more

My buddies and I wanted to catch up, and one of them suggested this pho spot he had seen on Instagram getting a lot of hype, so we decided to check it out. We started with their famous egg rolls, which were pretty good. I'd definitely recommend ordering those. For my main, I got the P2, I believe it was the steak, and overall it was solid. Good flavor and satisfying. When we got there, it was pretty slow, but people were coming in and out. It's kind of tucked away deeper in Elk Grove,CA so it's not the busiest location. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, which made it easy to just sit and talk. Service was okay. It took a little longer than expected for the food to come out compared to other pho spots I've been to, where it usually comes out pretty quick. Overall, the food was good and it's worth checking out if you're in the area and craving pho. read more
I've lived in the Sacramento area for years and I've passed by Pholicous on grant line about a thousand times. A classic "don't judge a book by its cover" kind of thing, because the outside might not seem inviting, but the pho tastes like a warm hug and the crispy egg rolls are the perfect crispy fried egg rolls I've ever had. Nothing is better on a rainy day than a hot bowl of pho! Joined a girlfriend here for lunch and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and seated by the server. We started with a few appetizers one was a deep fried shrimp and another was the spring rolls. I'm usually not a fan of peanut butter sauce but omgg it was so delish! Would for sure order that again. For the pho I like to keep it simple and got the chicken pho. Only con was the pho came with topping already on it. I like to personally add in the onions, cilantro, etc. but besides that the flavor was very good and huge servings. read more

Pholicious was phonomenal, phoreal. The inside of the restaurant was super clean and the staff was friendly. Their homemade hot sauce be hittin and packs that heat. Their bbh broth is very rich, full of flavor and good to the last drop. If they offered a pho challenge they would be in trouble, cuz I would be there tearing it up and putting them outta business. Their pho is no joke and is just as good as the best spots from the bay. You HAVE to check this place out. read more

I had such a great experience here. The food is good overall, but the standout for me was the Bun Bo Hue. It's aromatic, rich and probably one of the best I've had in the area. The sauce smells incredible, you can tell they made the sauce in-house, not that generic stuff you grab off the shelf. The umami bomb tofu was the biggest surprise for me. The flavor goes all the way through, not just sauce on the outside, but seasoning that actually deeply absorbs into the tofu. As for dessert, their homemade flan is a must. It's silky, rich, and creamy with a slightly bitter coffee that balance out the sweetness. Service is warm and attentive, and the space has cute, thoughtful decorations that make the whole place feel welcoming. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. read more

This place is always busy! I loved having their pho! Big portions and good flavor, the broth is more sweet and savory! I wish the broth was a little more hot when it came out! Bun Bo hue was pretty solid! I am sure it's pretty authentic with the fish paste undertone flavor, but it's not really jam. It was very tasty nonetheless! It was nice and hot when served! Be weary of wearing white! It kind of splashes! The wings were solid and very tasty! We also ordered the spring rolls which were nice, light, tasty, and the fresh veggies inside were also nice and crisp! I love the decor, felt very homey but still upscale for a date night! The staff there is all very friendly! I think the place is just a little understaffed, so it's a little confusing where to sit, and who is your server to ask for condiments or something to add to the order! read more

So I love Pho! So naturally I have been to several Pho establishments. I come here and look at the menu items and the pricing. The prices are a bit higher than the other establishments I go to. So Hubby and I get the house Pho and the vermicelli dish we typically get. No spring rolls though. :( My first sip of the broth and the flavor is that of the naturally boiled up broth, not the kind that has copious amounts of salt and msg that leave me super thirsty needing a gallon of water afterwards. The flavor is super yum! I haven't had broth like this in a hot minute. The steak meat is a better quality than the usual meat used for most restaurants, and as a result the meat has a better flavor, which of course lends to the better flavor of the broth. Even the vermicelli dish had pork that has less fat than other establishments. The price point is appropriate considering the higher quality of food and flavors. If you are lacking tastebuds and cannot differentiate higher quality meats, go elsewhere. But if quality and flavor are important to you, try this place out! read more

Decent place for pho. I wish they didn't shrink their menu from what others have previously posted on Yelp. The interior and parking lot are both small. Watch where you step and sit as there are food scraps everywhere. I witnessed the waitress just wiping everything from the table off onto the floors and booths/chairs, but did not bother cleaning the booths/chairs or sweeping up the floor upon doing that... read more

My gf's recommended this place because I'm a pho enthusiast. I came during lunch time, they were busy. Exterior and interior were very clean. The interior was clean and cutely decorated. I ordered beef pho and shrimp spring rolls. Broth was flavorful and the homemade chili sauce hit the spot. Shrimp spring rolls were good with the peanut sauce. Service was A+ both ladies were so nice and kind. I observed them checking on every table. Definitely will come back to try different items on the menu. read more
