I have been eyeing this place since opening! Finally glad to try it. I walked in and was greeted right away, given a menu and wasn't rushed to order. I decided on the pork belly bahn mi and 2 orders of pho. Everything was still piping hot when I got home and so delicious.
Pho Fresh has been around for over a year now and is located in the KFC/ Little Caesars pizza plaza on Elk Grove Florin Road. Tried it for the first time and it's not bad, just a little pricey. The staff here are nice, and I like that they have a separate vegan menu with similar items available to the regular menu, just made vegan. There's plenty of seating, and likely that they can accommodate big groups. We tried the: Crazy Pho King Pho ($18.95) It has wontons, shrimps, and 5 meat cuts - Rare Steak, Well done Flank, Fat Brisket, Tendon & Tripe, and beef meat balls. Beer Lover Pho ($18) It has a half pound of hand-cut rare rib-eye steak Pork Belly Tacos ($13.95) It has slow roasted pork belly in a spicy garlic sauce, cucumber, pickled carrot/daikon mix, cilantro, sandwiched in a bao. I loved the variety of the items in the crazy pho king, especially the wontons. I wasn't a fan of the well done flank, it had kind of an old taste to me, but the wontons, fat brisket, and beef meatballs stood out and made up for it. The pork belly taco was good but that first bite was very sour, as if extra juices from the pickled veggies were added on top. The pork belly was tender and flavored well. Overall, I'd rate everything a 7/10.
Thao was great the service here is good 10/10 and more attentive other than other pho restaurants. They have a cute bar that serves beer and wine and have nice seating. But for food i tried the char sui pork spring rolls and oxtail pho kinda disappointed the spring rolls aren't ur typical spring rolls i was surprised to see cabbage in it and after one roll i wasn't impressed 3/10 and oxtail pho was mid tasted a lot of lemon grass in the pho i have never had lemon grass in a pho i mean it was flavorful but wasn't my kinda thing and only had 3 oxtails and the rest was tendon and some beef pieces which were not tender wasn't impressed 5/10 for oxtail pho after like 6 bites i didn't want anymore but other than that maybe i would come back for the great service and to try the rice plates instead maybe they have a lot to choose from maybe i just didn't choose the right ones!
This is a nice space with plenty of parking outside and large space inside. I am glad there is a 2nd location of pho fresh near Elk Grove. It offers something unique (vegan Vietnamese) food. The portions are quite large we got the pho and spicy beef soup both were very large sizes. The tacos are delicious. The meet might have been a little bit cold, but it was still nonetheless. They were attentive even late at nice close to closing time
This was my first time trying this restaurant. I went for the happy hour to try the appetizers. I was really excited for the baked mussels and mushrooms, eggrolls, and pork belly taco. I was hoping my son would order the kids pho because I was curious about the broth. He ended up ordering the tempura shrimp bowl and was sorely disappointed. The tempura shrimp looked like the frozen ones from Costco. He was expecting Mikunis fresh batter and sauce. I told him we're at a Vietnamese restaurant not Japanese. The food was meh and the pork eggrolls were undercooked and the meat smelled bad. The restaurant is very clean and AC was top tier. Parking is easy to find and the service was good however I won't be going back because the food was disappointing. The waitress was awesome and didn't give me a hard time about the eggrolls. She didn't charge me for them. She offered another batch of eggrolls but I refused because the pork smelled and tasted sour so even if it was fully cooked it still shouldn't be served. She mentioned that they were definitely undercooked and for future servings they would cook it longer.
A pretty solid place in the area. Nice interiors with modern designs. There is bar. Wide selections on their menu and they even have many vegan options as well. For noodles, they have different options such as regular pho noodles, fresh noodles, mushroom noodles, glass noodles, and shirataki noodles. I ordered beef stew pho with mushroom noodles ($2 more). Texture of mushroom was interesting. Beef stew was not tender enough. Portion was on the smaller side. Felt the broth was lacking something but it was good overall. Service was quick. They allow to split the bills.
Came here on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all. We got seated right away. The place is spacious with lots of tables. We ordered two pho bowls. One small and one large. The broth was alright, a little bland for my taste. I had to ask for some fish sauce to make the flavor better. But overall I thought the pho was good and had decent portion. The service was pretty fast and the place is nicely decorated. They have a modern look to the restaurant and they were playing Vietnamese hip hop which was fun lol. Overall I would definitely come back since it's next to my house.
I would rate the food here a 6/10 overall. I typically order through DoorDash or get my meals to-go, but today I decided to dine in for the first time. I ordered the grilled chicken spring rolls and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. They lacked garnish and only contained lettuce, with very little chicken inside. I'm used to more traditional spring rolls that include lettuce, cucumber, mint, and a fuller combination of fresh ingredients, so this felt underwhelming in comparison. That being said, I really enjoy their pho , it was flavorful and very fulfilling. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant itself is clean and well put together, which made for a nice dine-in experience. The servers were quick and attentive. Service is great here. I definitely see the potential in this restaurant and would be open to dining in again to try more items on the menu. Overall, I would still recommend this place to family and friends, especially for the pho.
The customer service and how clean and pretty this restaurant brought this place to the 4 stars. Its located in the Safeway shopping center on Elk Grove Florin. We had 2 soup, 3 rice plates, an appetizer and 2 drinks. I had the # 1 in a medium bowl - tons of meat but the broth was lacking. My daughter had the wonton soup and she said it was good but she's had it better. My kids and husband said the pork they ordered was delicious and flavorful. The menu offered many different things. I want to come back and try a few others
I stumbled across this restaurant as I was in the area. In the exterior, it didn't look like your typical pho restaurant. It's open with natural lighting. It was a Saturday morning with a few tables filled. This place is big enough for parties of 10. Plenty of smaller tables for smaller groups. No one greeted us at the door so we waited until someone came out from the kitchen. Look under staff already. We got seated and got our menus. Super surprised how large their menus are. This is a Vietnamese fusion restaurant with many options. The beef bone pho reminds me of Orange County. The only thing is, they don't give a normal serving of rice noodles for the size of the bowl. Overall, this is a nice option for lunch if you're in the area.
On Saturday, I was in the neighborhood visiting family and looking for a quick bite when I came across Pho Fresh. I chose the Avocado and Chicken Breast Spring Rolls, thinking I would get one of each, but to my surprise, I received two boxes with four rolls and peanut sauce in each! I did not complain, of course! I had a few for lunch and the rest for dinner, and they were delicious. The following day, three of us went back for lunch, and this time I ordered Spicy Pho Oxtail Noodle Soup, while others ordered Pho Chicken and an Avocado Chicken Salad. I loved my soup, and the salad scored big. The chicken soup was also good. The dining space is large, wide, well-set up, and maintained, and the servers, mostly younger people, are wonderful. I recommend trying this place if you are in the neighborhood and enjoy Vietnamese food. We are definitely going back for more!
Came to try this a few times. So far it is consistently good. The pho has great flavor. We like their veggie spring rolls. The staff are very nice, but not as attentive as they used to be. Overall, this is a good place to eat at.
Pho Fresh 2u is solid! Great food, service, and environment. Their bar is perfect for a quick bite/ drink while watching the game. I especially like the pork vermicelli plate. Thank you, Anthonyxibarrax

I've been to this and the Rancho location several times before. This review is solely based on my most recent experience. It was a quiet evening, just a few customers here and there. I was seated pretty quickly. I placed my order and afterwards, given a cup of water. I pulled the cup towards me and noticed a strand of hair on the table. No big deal. Could've been mine or just on the table and not wiped up. As I pull it closer to me, the hair is basically wrapped in a u shape on the cup. I notified the waiter and she brought me a new cup of water. As I stirred the water around with my straw, I saw what looked like a black gnat in the water. I picked it out with chopsticks and didn't ask for a new cup of water, so, I just left the cup there. My order came not too long after, shrimp spring rolls and charbroiled pork over rice. The shrimp spring rolls were good. They use shredded lettuce, so, it gets messy. I noticed something on the corner of a spring roll, not sure what it was. It looked like a very tiny piece of cloth. Notified the waiter again, and with one look, he apologized and brought it back to the kitchen. He brought back the new spring rolls, but, I'm not certain they remade it. Maybe just took away the particle that was on there since the spring rolls were untouched. The grilled pork plate was delicious. The broth seemed a little bit salty, but I'm OK with that. Overall, the waiters were very accommodating and very professional. As one of the waiters took my payment, she repeatedly apologized for the inconveniences during this visit. I reassured her there was nothing to be apologetic for. I get some days are just better than others. Still giving them a 4 because my positive experiences outweigh the bad. read more

Broth is just average in my opinion. I tried the #2 Pho. The large wasn't that sizable. Something of note was service was good; it was probably up there with the best customer service I've received from a pho restaurant. Restaurant feels spacious and open. Not likely to hurry back, but I would give them another shot if hungry and nearby. read more
Recently opened inside the Safeway plaza. Ambiance is very relaxed casual and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've seen multiple people come in from either placed orders on phone or maybe food deliveries and the staff have them on first name bases with jokes. I love a place that can have that kind of relationship with their customers! The pho I had was light on the broth with thin noodles. It's not often in pho, but this bowl came with wontons placed in it. I love me surprises like that. Clean, light, and refreshing. The salt and pepper calamari was very crunchy and had the right amount of saltiness. Usually a great pair with pho! read more

Omg yummy!!!!! Hot and spicy mushrooms, tofu starter (salt and pepper), vegan calamaris, lemongrass tofu springrolls, vegan tofu lemongrass with rice, and the vegan mock chicken rolls- HAMANA!!!! Ever since Pho Le in Elk Grove closed, I've been lamenting the loss of a great pho spot in the area. I'm not a fan of braving the crowds in South Sac for great Vietnamese food. I've had Pho Fresh in Rancho Cordova and was so happy they opened another location closer to me. On my first visit, I got the house combo egg noodle soup with wontons, shrimp, calamari, chicken and charsui. The broth was so flavorful. I didn't need to add anything to my soup. It was perfect just as it was. I usually have a bit of the broth before digging into the rest of the dish, but I had to have all the broth. I ended up taking a majority of it home since I filled up on the soup. (Not that I'm complaining). On my next visit, I had the vermicelli with grilled pork. This is usually my go to item when I have Vietnamese food. However, their version was one of the best I've had. Their fish sauce was chef's kiss! It was like crack...LOL The restaurant is in a strip mall near Sushi Q and Super Taco. We had no issues with parking on both of our visits. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant is a decent size and very clean. If I could eat here at every meal, I would. Pricing is about $15-20 per person before drinks. It's comparable to other restaurants in the area and has great quality ingredients. read more
I've gotten a takeout banh mi here as well as rice plate with grilled pork. Both visits took a long time for food to be prepared but came with large meat portions. When dining in, the server did apologize for it taking so long. However I asked for garlic rice sub and the kitchen missed it. My server was really apologetic when I flagged her down to ask about it. I wasn't upset but I did ask to remove the garlic rice sub charge. Rather than removing it from the bill, they gave a flat $2 cash back after we paid with CC since they claimed it would be too much effort to change the bill. I found this pretty unusual and quite off-putting considering I told them about the error well before paying so they could have corrected the bill. For the food itself, it was pretty average/standard. I might come back to try the pho if I'm in a pinch and don't want to drive farther out but only as takeout and calling well beforehand. read more

Placed an online order on a Sunday afternoon and got 10% Off Your 1st Order for Pho Fresh 2U (located near El Super Taco on the opposite end of where Little Caesars and T% are). 1 x Shrimp Spring Rolls ($8.95) 1 x Tai, Nam, Gau, Gan, Sach Pho ($14.95) Size Medium 1 x Mi Wonton ($14.95) 1 x Bun Grilled Meat ($13.95) Pork The order was promised and ready within 25 minutes, takeout. Big spacious interior, a few people dining in, clean look, friendly staff. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh but I was wanting more shrimp and less lettuce, not overly minty/cilantro/noodly is that's your jam. Peanut dipping sauce was good consistency and flavor. Mom got the combination pho which had rare steak, well-done flank, fat brisket, tendon & tripe, beansprouts, thai basil, jalapenos, lime, hoisin and sriracha sauce. Beef meatballs, wontons, or extra noodles are +$3 or shrimp for +$4. The broth was very clean. I had the house wonton egg noodle soup (chicken broth, mixed fresh seasonal veggies, fried shallots, green onions, cilantro). Wontons stuffed with pork and topped with sliced charsiu pork. I saw bok choy, mushrooms, carrots, celery. The wontons themselves seemed to also have mushroom? Definitely pork only, not pork+shrimp like I'm used to. The broth was good. Dad had the grilled pork over vermicelli rice noodles, marinated and grilled in thick savory lemongrass sauce and spices. Came with the noodles, chopped peanuts, and veggies (carrots/radish, cilantro, lettuce/cabbage shredded like a slaw). The meat was very very good, although the veggies could be more substantial with beansprouts, cucumber, or larger pieces of lettuce. They also have specialty pho, rice plates, sandwiches, salads, bao, rice pepper rolls, appetizers, stirfried noodles, a vegan menu and catering! So glad this place opened up near me so I can get my authentic Vietnamese cravings out the way. Service was fantastic - my waitress is, Van, who was attentive and welcoming. She's amazing and such a sweetheart! The restaurant is clean and hopefully it keeps that way since it's newly opened. Their menu looks overwhelming but the pictures helped. There's something for everyone. Everything I ordered was 9/10. I will definitely come back to try the other dishes/pho. read more

Came in for dinner with my boyfriend and the service was really good! Their wintermelon milk tea with aloe vera was soo refreshing! I think the fat brisket beef baos were really good as well. I think if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to ask for no chili. The shrimp spring rolls are always a safe option, but I really enjoyed the peanut sauce for dip. The spicy oxtail pho was a little bland but still pretty good. I can't remember what our servers name was, but he was super sweet and attentive. He regularly checked up on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The inside is also very cute and has a lot of seating. I would recommend trying! They have a lot of variety on their menu. read more

I've been here a couple times to dine in for their pho but this time I opted for to go. I ordered the pork spring rolls, a spicy chicken banh mi, and a Vietnamese coffee. The pork spring rolls were delicious! And the dipping sauce was great too. The banh mi was a miss for me but I also should have just the grilled pork at first. Don't get me wrong. The chicken tasted good, but it wasn't what I normally expected in a banh mi. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing and hit the spot. They also gave me a side sipping broth, which is AMAZING. So far every experience I've had here has been great . It has even become a go to spot for beef tallow. read more

Came here with my husband and child on a Monday night. It seemed like it wasn't too busy. Close parking across the street. So place looks really nice and new and one of the workers was so nice. Although this place lacks service and food quality. Food: Pho ga/chicken pho - no. Slices of chicken was hard and dry. Broth was okay. Kids meatball pho- came with broccoli. The meatball tasted a bit odd. Mongolian beef rice plate - plate was a bit cold already when I got it like it had been sitting there. They cooked it with so much crushed chili peppers thrown on there. The cut of the beef was in large pieces and a bit chewy. I would not recommend. The side soup they had was probably the best thing I tasted out of all the items we ordered. Service: food took quite a while to come out. We only got our drinks we ordered but never got water. My husband didn't even get a soup spoon for his pho, so I had to ask. The lady who dropped off our food literally just handed our food and was gonna leave. Didn't even say anything, so I had to ask for a soup spoon then she turned her back and I had to say can we also get a small bowl (for my child). After this NO ONE CAME BY TO CHECK ON US AFTERWARDS. And when I wanted the check I had to wave down the first lady who took our order. While their menu is vast, the quality isn't there. I may return to see if their other items is good later on but most likely not. read more

It's a new spot in East Elk Grove. They have a very big menu and they have a lot of vegetarian dishes. I was very impressed. I ordered the beef stew pho, the portions were big and they give you a lot of beef. The broth had good flavoring. I want to come back and try more dishes The employees were very friendly and the restaurant is very casual and it had all new furniture and flooring. read more
I went to a new Pho place . It was his grand opening to the public. The chef Van has his first restaurant in Rancho Cordova. This is his second place. The place is a nice size. Not too big or small. Lots of tables with that new look. There is a bar with about eight seats. He is the only Pho place with 8 beers on tap. Van is famous for Vegan and vegetarian dishes. I asked him what I should have and he suggested the Oxtail pho. The broth was so flavorful. I loved it. The Oxtail was tender and so yummy. A little spicy, perfect. We got the porkbelly and it was cooked perfectly. Such good flavor. Also got the calamari which was good. I will have to come back and try more stuff. read more

First time coming here and the interior is modern and clean. They have a huge menu (imo compared to others) and I really liked the variety they had there. Crazy King Pho: 4/5 - This is their combo pho - Soup was clear and tasty - Huge portions! Balance of noodles and meat - Noodles were just a few seconds undercooked - First time seeing wontons added to pho Pork Belly Taco: 5/5 - So flavorful! It's like a banh mi with the white bread pretty much - Will need to try the salmon belly next time One thing that I'm not too fond of is getting the check when we're not even halfway done with the meal. They gave us the check around 9:15 PM-9:20PM, which is 45 minutes before they close. Maybe its a server thing about closing registers as soon as they can? I'm not sure but it just felt like we were being rushed. read more
