Pho Fresh hit the spot when we were craving some solid pho in the area. The broth had decent flavor--nothing mind-blowing, but it was comforting without any major complaints. Recently opened inside the Safeway plaza. Ambiance is very relaxed casual and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've seen multiple people come in from either placed orders on phone or maybe food deliveries and the staff have them on first name bases with jokes. We tried the: Crazy Pho King Pho ($18.95) It has wontons, shrimps, and 5 meat cuts - Rare Steak, Well done Flank, Fat Brisket, Tendon & Tripe, and beef meat balls. Beer Lover Pho ($18) It has a half pound of hand-cut rare rib-eye steak Pork Belly Tacos ($13.95) It has slow roasted pork belly in a spicy garlic sauce, cucumber, pickled carrot/daikon mix, cilantro, sandwiched in a bao. I loved the variety of the items in the crazy pho king, especially the wontons. I wasn't a fan of the well done flank, it had kind of an old taste to me, but the wontons, fat brisket, and beef meatballs stood out and made up for it. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all. We got seated right away. The place is spacious with lots of tables. We ordered two pho bowls. One small and one large. I've been to this and the Rancho location several times before. This review is solely based on my most recent experience. It was a quiet evening, just a few customers here and there. I was seated pretty quickly. I placed my order and afterwards, given a cup of water. I pulled the cup towards me and noticed a strand of hair on the table. No big deal. Could've been mine or just on the table and not wiped up. As I pull it closer to me, the hair is basically wrapped in a u shape on the cup. I notified the waiter and she brought me a new cup of water. As I stirred the water around with my straw, I saw what looked like a black gnat in the water. I picked it out with chopsticks and didn't ask for a new cup of water, so, I just left the cup there. My order came not too long after, shrimp spring rolls and charbroiled pork over rice. The shrimp spring rolls were good. They use shredded lettuce, so, it gets messy. I noticed something on the corner of a spring roll, not sure what it was. It looked like a very tiny piece of cloth. Notified the waiter again, and with one look, he apologized and brought it back to the kitchen. He brought back the new spring rolls, but, I'm not certain they remade it. Maybe just took away the particle that was on there since the spring rolls were untouched. The grilled pork plate was delicious. The broth seemed a little bit salty, but I'm OK with that. Overall, the waiters were very accommodating and very professional. As one of the waiters took my payment, she repeatedly apologized for the inconveniences during this visit. I would rate the food here a 6/10 overall. I typically order through DoorDash or get my meals to-go, but today I decided to dine in for the first time. I ordered the grilled chicken spring rolls and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. They lacked garnish and only contained lettuce, with very little chicken inside. I'm used to more traditional spring rolls that include lettuce, cucumber, mint, and a fuller combination of fresh ingredients, so this felt underwhelming in comparison. That being said, I really enjoy their pho , it was flavorful and very fulfilling. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant itself is clean and well put together, which made for a nice dine-in experience. The servers were quick and attentive. Service is great here. I definitely see the potential in this restaurant and would be open to dining in again to try more items on the menu. It was a Saturday morning with a few tables filled. This place is big enough for parties of 10. Plenty of smaller tables for smaller groups. On Saturday, I was in the neighborhood visiting family and looking for a quick bite when I came across Pho Fresh. I chose the Avocado and Chicken Breast Spring Rolls, thinking I would get one of each, but to my surprise, I received two boxes with four rolls and peanut sauce in each! I did not complain, of course! I had a few for lunch and the rest for dinner, and they were delicious. The following day, three of us went back for lunch, and this time I ordered Spicy Pho Oxtail Noodle Soup, while others ordered Pho Chicken and an Avocado Chicken Salad. I loved my soup, and the salad scored big. The chicken soup was also good. The dining space is large, wide, well-set up, and maintained, and the servers, mostly younger people, are wonderful. Ever since Pho Le in Elk Grove closed, I've been lamenting the loss of a great pho spot in the area. I'm not a fan of braving the crowds in South Sac for great Vietnamese food. I've had Pho Fresh in Rancho Cordova and was so happy they opened another location closer to me. On my first visit, I got the house combo egg noodle soup with wontons, shrimp, calamari, chicken and charsui. The broth was so flavorful. I didn't need to add anything to my soup. It was perfect just as it was. I usually have a bit of the broth before digging into the rest of the dish, but I had to have all the broth. I ended up taking a majority of it home since I filled up on the soup. (Not that I'm complaining). On my next visit, I had the vermicelli with grilled pork. This is usually my go to item when I have Vietnamese food. However, their version was one of the best I've had. Their fish sauce was chef's kiss! It was like crack...LOL The restaurant is in a strip mall near Sushi Q and Super Taco. We had no issues with parking on both of our visits. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant is a decent size and very clean. If I could eat here at every meal, I would. Pricing is about $15-20 per person before drinks. I've gotten a takeout banh mi here as well as rice plate with grilled pork. Both visits took a long time for food to be prepared but came with large meat portions. When dining in, the server did apologize for it taking so long. However I asked for garlic rice sub and the kitchen missed it. My server was really apologetic when I flagged her down to ask about it. I wasn't upset but I did ask to remove the garlic rice sub charge. Rather than removing it from the bill, they gave a flat $2 cash back after we paid with CC since they claimed it would be too much effort to change the bill. I found this pretty unusual and quite off-putting considering I told them about the error well before paying so they could have corrected the bill. That said, the service experience has been disappointing. On more than one occasion, I've had to request basic things like placing an order or getting the check, despite the restaurant not being busy. My husband didn't even get a soup spoon for his pho, so I had to ask. The lady who dropped off our food literally just handed our food and was gonna leave. Didn't even say anything, so I had to ask for a soup spoon then she turned her back and I had to say can we also get a small bowl (for my child). After this NO ONE CAME BY TO CHECK ON US AFTERWARDS. I went to a new Pho place . It was his grand opening to the public. The chef Van has his first restaurant in Rancho Cordova. This is his second place. The place is a nice size. Not too big or small. Lots of tables with that new look. There is a bar with about eight seats. He is the only Pho place with 8 beers on tap. Van is famous for Vegan and vegetarian dishes. I asked him what I should have and he suggested the Oxtail pho. The broth was so flavorful. I loved it. The Oxtail was tender and so yummy. A little spicy, perfect. Then, a second time I went back to Fresh2U was just plain irritating, maybe it was me but the young lady I ordered my pho from didn't get it right or even repeat my order when I specifically asked for my pho with the meatballs, it's an item on your menu. Then, when I got it, they forgot to add the meantballs. So, they corrected it by giving me the "microwaved" meatballs, I get an extra charge as a side, what kinda business is this?? Furthermore, okay so you charge for hot tea. Next time, mention if you have green tea instead of your oolong tea, because it's not what was wanted or otherwise we're okay with your tap water.
