Unacceptable that they thought these bean sprouts were still good to serve
    Corinna T.

I've heard about this place from family and friends so I finally decided to give it a try. With our favorite pho restaurant closing last year I've been on the hunt to find something similar in taste and conveniently close. We got our food to go, not my #1 choice, and I made sure to order a large Pho Tai (noodles & rare steak) to share with my toddler. I don't prefer ordering to go as the portions don't seem nearly as comparable as you'd get in person. Then once you're home if something is wrong or missing you're kind of SOL. Upon opening my to go box immediately I was disappointed in the color of my bean sprouts. They were gray and dark brown with very few still in decent shape to eat. These should have been tossed days ago. Growing up in a Vietnamese household where my grandma was making pho frequently I know what quality ingredients should look like. And on top of that I got ONE packet of hoisin sauce, ONE! I feel they should adjust how many packets to provide based on the size of the pho being ordered. Remember, I got a large. All in all, after eating my pho with the few edible bean sprouts surprisingly I enjoyed it. Broth was better than all the other places I've tried and rare steak was nice and thin. However, noodles were overcooked so as I'm trying to grab with my chopsticks it's literally breaking each time. Nonetheless, I managed to still slurp all of it up. I don't recommend placing an order to go but I'd like to come dine in down the road.

Came by at around 5:30pm on a weekday and it was pretty empty inside besides one small party. Decided to do a to-go order of the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, shrimp and egg roll. Lots of fresh veggies came with it and lots of grilled pork! Just one egg roll comes with it. I enjoyed it and would come back if I'm ever in the area.

A solid Vietnamese restaurant in my area. Came here twice on a weeknight and they were not busy. Grilled pork, shrimp and eggroll vermicelli noodle: Pretty average pork vermicelli bowl. Comparable to other places. Crispy taro seafood salad: Very interesting salad, in a good way. The taro was crispy. Great texture throughout. Refreshing as well. Crispy noodle with vegetables and beef: The noodle was not crispy at all. Beef was a bit overcooked. Grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich: The bread was a bit too crunchy and not fluffy. Flavor was good overall. Decent banh mi. Whole coconut jelly: Very refreshing. The jelly had different textures. Top half of the jelly is white, bottom half is clear. Pay at the counter. If paying cash, can get a little discount.

I recently decided to give this Pho place a try and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of the food. Had the number 19 large pho which was large enough to share. Ingredients were fresh, lots of noodles and meat. I could have used more fresh veggies, like jalapeños, and sprouts on the side. Broth was flavorful and came out pipping hot. I also ordered fried calamari, which was just ok. Flavor was great, crispy and light but there wasn't a lot on the plate for $11. Ambiance was ok, our server was super nice and kind. I would recommend it, no need to go to Stockton Blvd.

    #13 Combination Pho

From a converted Ramen fan. I won't claim to preferring Pho over Ramen now but I can at least say that I can enjoy either one and there isn't a clear favorite. I was probably scorned from a few not so good Pho places before but the complaints I had previously were resolved here (flavorless broth, weird tasting meatballs, etc). Opted for the #13 Combination Pho (Large) and it did not disappoint, the broth was flavorful and they did not skimp on all cuts of beef, tripe and tendon. Finished as much as I could but still had some left over to take home. We also got an order of their egg roll appetizer which was just as delicious -- crunchy and each bite had equal amounts of filling. Overall, i'd say this place was great. Price is about what you'd expect from a Pho place in the area and service was nice and quick.

Came here for dinner on a weekday and it was busier than expected. We were pointed to a table. I got the fried calamari appetizer and a bowl of pho. The calamari looked underdone and didn't have a golden color. It wasn't really crispy either. I probably would not get it again. The pho is pretty standard in terms of portion and taste. Overall a decent pho spot but nothing special in terms of food or service.

Clean and nice relaxing feel.... Pho Y used to be the spot but since they closed I've been having a hard time finding great pho with great service. Their pho is best in the area from Sacramento to Elk Grove! Please go try them out. Just have to note.... Born and raised in San Jose so moving to Elk Grove was really hard trying to find great Pho! This is the spot!!!!

I ordered takeout from here once and thought the food was acceptable so we dined in this time, but I was not happy with my food. We were there pretty early and the place was empty. I honestly felt like they may have served me old/leftover food from the day before. I ordered a Pho Tai. The broth was fine. The beef, however, was overcooked, dry, and tough. There was also some extra beef bits coating on it, not sure why as I don't usually see that. The noodles were hard and stuck together despite my efforts to loosen them up in the hot broth. Also, if you are craving Pho Ga for the chicken soup, don't order it here. They use the beef broth to make their chicken noodle soup. To add to the bad food we had, the booth I was seated in had a very dirty spot where it seemed like they never bothered cleaning/wiping. Overall, unsatisfied with my experience.

Pho Basil were very quick to respond with resolution to the issue I encountered and have since apologized. They acknowledged the issue and informed the staff to ensure this doesn't happen again. Surely this was a one off and a learning experience. I have full faith and trust that they care about their customers. I will remain loyal as a regular. I would recommend the pork and shrimp spring rolls, pork banh mi and pork rice plates!! Trust me, I've tried all the other competitors and this is the best in town.

My vermicelli bowl was amazingly fresh and delicious. Service was outstanding. Such kind folks here. It's a typical Vietnamese restaurant ambiance setup. I'm not coming here for the atmosphere. It's great food and great service. What more can you ask for. I plan to be back soon.

I've been to many places for Bún Bò Huế, especially in Stockton Blvd Vietnamese town and Elk Grove, but this one stands out as one of the best. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Food is always consistent and good here! I like the Pho and they give you a good amount of noodle and meat for a medium bowl! Service is quick and the waiters and waitresses always check on you. Ambiance is just like any authentic Vietnamese spot

Seated quickly. Spacious restaurant. Ordered large combo pho & bun bo hue (only available in large bowl). Both soups were flavorful and packed with ingredients. Will be back again soon.

Honestly, it was 10/10...even after sitting out and getting cold! They served honey walnut shrimp, egg rolls, garlic noodles, and chicken, and everything was delicious. So much so, I had to ask them where they catered from! I recently stopped in because I've been on a seafood boil kick, and I'm so glad I did. Molly was our waitress, and she was amazing...super friendly, attentive, and very helpful with questions about the menu. She even told us about their Thursday karaoke nights. We ordered the seafood boil with shrimp and mussels in the Fusion sauce, mild spice level. The sauce was incredible! It had so much flavor without being overpowering. Next time, I'll definitely be trying medium spice. We also ordered the egg rolls, which were crispy, delicious, and served with lettuce wraps that made them even better. The sauce was sweet and salty. Great combo. The raw oysters were fresh, the garlic noodles were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and every dish we tried was excellent. The restaurant was clean, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fun with sports games playing on tvs in the restaurant. The calamari was standard. Cooked well. Not overly oily. Loved that it had bell peppers incorporated. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. We will definitely be back!

I came across edamame under appetizers. Based on the description, I ordered it. I love me some spicy edamame, especially when it's seasoned very well. I got my order to go, got home and when I opened the edamame, it was not what I expected. It was sitting in liquid. The description of the edamame under appetizers says nothing about it being in any kind of liquid or sauce. So I revisited the establishment tonight, which is Friday (the next day). I explained to the employee taking my order what I expected based on the description on the menu and what I got. I even showed her pictures. She said she's never seen edamame made that way (not in sauce) even though there's a picture of it being made that way under their Yelp profile. There was no attempt to rectify the situation so I left it be but it is a bit disheartening to order something with a specific description, then you get home and your order is not what you thought it would be and then there is no recourse provided. Based on this experience, my tip for future patrons is to ensure you get clarification on an item if you are trying it for the first time because it might not come in the same way it is described on the menu. I've been in contact with some very personable employees here who are amazing when it comes to customer service so I will definitely be back. And that salt and pepper shrimp has me in a chokehold LOL. I just wasn't a fan of this experience. But I do recommend this restaurant. Great food, great drinks and great staff!!

Shout out for West Sacramento…read more.. Did you know that right in West Sacramento there is a seafood stand selling fresh sustainable caught hook n line fish plucked from the Bodega Bay? Well know you do... Ferrari Fisheries has a stand that sells black cod, ling cod, red snapper which all are year round catches; and seasonal Dungeness crab and salmon. When they have a fresh caught batch; they text their customers what is available catch, and time & date. To get their text notifications; you can sign up on their website. I was fortunate enough to get to their stand early enough on a notification day to buy a couple of Dungeness crabs. The crabs were live, priced at $11/pound. Awesome price! When you get to the stand, there are two lines. The first line you want to get into is the one nearest the big containers where the fish on ice or crabs are kept. If you want your fish filleted, let them know. It is a complimentary service. Then you head into the other line to pay. They take cash and card, I'm not sure about other payment types. Keep in mind, the inventory sells quickly especially the seasonal items. Folks queue up earlier than the opening time stated in the texts. The start time was 10am; I got there at 10:20 am. They sold out as I was leaving the stand. Anthony (owner and fishing captain), his wife, and team are terrific. They all were helpful and had the best attitudes. Welcoming. I'm sure they answer the same questions over and over. But when talking with each customer, they were engaged and provided individual attention. Top notch customer service!

I loved it just as it ORIGINALLY was, but the upgrades are AMAZING... The main entrance has been totally remodeled and a beautiful bar has been added. They also changed the tv area, in the main entrance, to look like the windows of an airplane instead of playing destinations on the screen, which I LOVED, because it enabled me to see sky views of places I have never and may never visit. They were playing soccer, which I understand, because the world is watching the World Cup. One of my favorite things was the hot, moist hand towels given at the beginning of your meal. I LOVED it. I thought it was so elegant and sopisticated. I am not a fan of washing my hands and then eating from a public restaurant, touch on the door to enter and exit. Now they provide the hand towels at the end of your meal, but this is fine dining, I am not using my hands to eat, and I have a napkin, if needed. So, I would prefer to cleanse my hands at the beginning of my meal. I sat in the newly renovated area which looked like the inside of an airplane. Sooooooooo, DOPE!!! It was BEAUTIFULY done! Felt FIRST CLASS, all the way. The furniture was AMAZING and looked elegant and high class. Some things on the menu had changed, but that is to be expected. My meal was delicious. I loved the free glass of champagne with my 1/2 dozen order of Oysters, which were scrumptious. They also updated their front patio, where after my meal I enjoyed a cigar. Plenty of seating. Every table is covered by HUGE umbrellas. What I thought was cute and unique, when I had finished my meal and paid my bill, I was given a token. There are gift machines inside and on the patio. I really wanted the Unicorn key chain, which I did not win, but I thought it was a nice touch for the kids and the kids at heart with adult wallets. Lol.

I ordered two main courses: Black Truffle Pasta: A wonderful, rich dish execution that was incredibly satisfying. Given the premium pricing, the shrimp were a bit underwhelming in size. Another dish, Golden Nest Black Pepper Steak, was absolutely outstanding. This was the star of the night. It came in a very generous portion with a stunning presentation. Flavor-wise, it features a phenomenal, distinct, smoky wok hei (breath of the wok) flavor that truly elevated the meat. Their beautiful interior design sets a refined, upscale tone. It is chic, elegant, and perfectly suited for a celebratory evening. The service matches the decor--attentive, polished, and professional throughout the night. As an added and highly appreciated bonus, they offer free parking, which eliminates the usual fine-dining hassle right out of the gate. The only real drawback here is the price tag. At $33 for a Chinese dish, it feels quite pricey for the Sacramento area, especially before receiving any official Michelin recognition. Because of the pricing, Sky Port isn't a spot for casual, daily dining. However, the gorgeous ambiance, stellar service, and standout flavors make it an excellent choice for a date night or a memorable special occasion.
