Needed a quick bite before driving back to the Bay. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. We were seated right away and given menus. The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. Always greeted at the door and pick your own seat, super easy! They take your drink order if you don't want water; note they have a boba/smoothie set-up too which my wife always grabs an avocado smoothie. Lately wife orders the fried crispy noodle combo (aka: bird's nest), and then a Phô bowl and of course A5: pork & shrimp spring roll. This is a great Vietnamese restaurant! We went here last night to celebrate my mom's birthday. Our server was very welcoming. It's next to a movie theatre, so you can enjoy a movie after having dinner. The location is great. The restaurant itself is big and clean. A pretty nice spot off of Laguna blvd. Came here with my mom who is in a power chair. The restaurant is very accommodating to ADA folks. Lots of seating in the restaurant. The servers were very quick to seat us and bring us drinks. The food came out really quick once we ordered. We went with the beef chow fun, crispy rolls and pork spring rolls. All the food was super hot and fresh when it arrived. Our favorite had to be the crispy egg rolls. They were full of meat. Awesome flavor in each bite. After an eventful day, our group decided on pho as our next move. Ha Noi Pho was the destination of choice due to its proximity and the group's enjoyment of it. Our party of 10 came on a quiet Sunday evening. There weren't too many diners. The restaurant is spacious with ample tables for a range of sizes. They also have a waiting area for take-out orders. There are also claw machines and other things to look at. Service by everyone was nice and efficient! They have so many options, not only for pho but also for other dishes, both meat and veggie! I had a small Chicken Breast Pho. It was so comforting and warm. It tasted like how it should! I was pretty full from our earlier activities, so I took most of it to go. So I always see Hanoi Pho when I goto the Century movie theater off Laguna, on Big Horn, so we decided to go try. They open late hours now and also host Pokémon TCG every couple weeks! First things first I hate writing bad reviews but this one this one takes the cake. I placed online order for over 100$. By the time I got there my order was still not ready mind you I live 30 minutes away. We waited an additional 20 minutes after they found my order. We get home starving and noticed they left out one of our noodles for our pho. We called and Tony answered and proceeded to argue that he put everything in the bag.we sent proof and everything. it's just very unprofessional that we couldn't get a simple refund for the noodle that we didn't received after the fact that we sent the proof they needed. I used to enjoy coming here, but this experience completely changed my opinion. I placed an online order and drove 20-25 minutes from South Sacramento to pick it up. When I arrived, my order wasn't ready, and they hadn't even started preparing it. I was told it would take about 5 minutes, but I ended up waiting more than 20 minutes, even though the restaurant was barely busy. When I got home, I realized my C7 order was missing the pan-fried dry noodles. So I called the restaurant explaining it to them that I was missing the dry noodles, but instead of apologizing or offering to fix the mistake, they insisted the noodles were included and asked me to send pictures. The next day, they even sent me a video of them packing the food, stating everything was there and they didn't make a mistake and I simply replied that I never got the dry noddle period. Like I understand that mistakes happen, but the way they handled the situation was unacceptable. I felt like they were accusing me of lying instead of trying to help. This could have been resolved easily with a simple apology and replacement. Because of the poor customer service, this will be my last time coming here. Today we went to Hanoi pho with our service dog. She is a Great Pyrenees. 2' by 4". NOT TINY. their tables near the windows along the left allow for a ginormous service dog. One of the best pho places! My son is a pho snob and he's absolutely loved the broth. It was so rich and beefy while other places just taste like water with salt. There's also a lot of different dishes/entrees on the menu to choose from. Service was great, they always refilled our water without having to ask. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings with a side bowl of Beef Fried Rice. The wings were a hit and everyone I shared it with in my table unanimously agreed also! I can't remember how many pieces it came with. The wings were flavorful and I loved the crispness of the skin. Craving that salt & pepper chicken wings I came back the following month with my hubby I ordered the same thing while he chose the Grill Meat with Rice Plate. When our food was served it wasn't the same crispness on the wings. It had the same delicious and amazing strong flavors but I longed for the crispy skin. I asked one of the servers and he said it was prepared differently, a much lighter crisp and something like "easy on the teeth"... huh?? ugh! my teeth can handle it LoL! I am a fan. My hubs and I came in for lunch one afternoon. The dining room is pretty spacious. They had Fox news blaring on one screen and there were some folks out there with conservative stickers on their cars. That made me a bit sad, but that's not really the restaurant's fault. The waitstaff was super nice and attentive. I really enjoyed the food! I got the shaking beef and my hubs got the combo vermicelli noodle bowl. Came around 11am on a Saturday. Really big space but only a few tables were filled. The chairs and floor were dirty at the table we were seated. The silverware that we got were also dirty. The pho broth was good and I upgraded my noodles to the "fresh wide noodles." It was wide for sure but it did not have that fresh softness I was expecting. Unfortunately it was a downgrade. I scoped our the menu well in advance but made a last minute decision to add grilled pork spring rolls to my planned order of pork belly and shrimp Bahn Xeo. I'm glad I did. We happened to close this noodle shop, so we decided to give it a try. They have a huge menu selection. I like pho with beef tendon only. And it was delicious. This place is located in an outside mall area. Century theater is right by there. There's plenty of parking. The restaurant is pretty big and has outside seating. They have a tv on the wall and it was decorated for the Lunar New Year. The service was great and fast. To pay, you have to go up to the register. They don't bring the bill to you (just fyi). The food was pretty good. I had the dry noodle with chicken and egg rolls. It was good. I gave four stars because I've had better. I prefer the Vietnamese egg rolls which are wrapped in a thinner rice paper. And the carrots were hard. I think they could've grated it to make it thinner. That's just my preference.
