The service here was really good! I came in because I was curious if this was the same as the location in SF. Same owner, but local twist to infuse the Sacramento food scene and agriculture! Five color XLB was nice with different skin. Peking duck (not pictured) had really good crispy skin! Onion pancake was not what I expected it to look like, but I'm happy with the flavor. Wagyu beef fried rice could've done with more meat, but had a nice spice kick to it. I would definitely come back for the food!

If you haven't tried this place yet, don't hesitate! The food is absolutely delicious, the drinks are great, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is calm, relaxing, and beautifully decorated, making it a perfect place to unwind. Overall, it's a wonderful experience from start to finish. I highly recommend stopping by!

This restaurant is located in the Sky River Casino. The place is pretty big and can accommodate up to a large group. They serve some dim sum dishes, specialty Chinese dishes, and hot pot. I think hot pot is AYCE. We did not go that route. We just order off the menu, A-Lacarte. We order some dim sum items, Peking duck with steamed buns, and steamed black sea bass. Everything we ordered was pretty good. The turnip cake and chicken paws tasted fresh and had good flavor. The turnip cake was a little mushy. It didn't hold up. When you pick it up with your chop sticks, the cake would fall apart. The Peking duck was good, but the crispy skin ok. The skin was crispy, and some parts were not, like chewy crisp. It was also, very oily. Like the skin soaked up excess oil. The duck was very lean. The black sea bass was very good. Tasted fresh, steamed perfectly. I thought the pricing was too much on the expensive side of things. I understand the place is on the fine dining side, but things should be perfect if I'm going to pay double for something. Plus, the dishes are a little small. I would usually get 4 turnip cakes on one order at a dim sum place. There was only two, paid a lot more, and tasted almost the same. Something is wrong with that picture. Service was on point. I have to give them credit for that. The staff was very nice and gave excellent service.

I saw they had Peking duck so we went here to try it out. Usually you have to order this type of food in advance. This is inside Sky River Casino. They open at 5PM. We were early so had to gamble a little before we got in. No reservation we got seated right away. The staff were really nice. We sat in a booth. Our server was super friendly. We of course got the duck and it was pretty good. I was glad they had bao's instead now people get those wraps and I hate them. We also got a steamed fish or was it boiled I don't remember but it was yummy to. The wife loves chicken feet so she got those. We had a good time and it was pretty good. Being inside a casino I think jacks the price up a bit but I didn't mind. When you want a certain food. you know you get it. The place was decorated nicely and they had a large bar. It was nice and I didn't notice the smoke inside the restaurant. I hate the smoke smell in a casino.

Really solid option for groups, celebrations, and treating out of town guests. The aesthetic is beautiful and it is rightfully a star in the local casino. It definitely fits the vibe. Service is top notch...our server was friendly, attentive, and even served our tea for us! Above and beyond 5 star service! I would return to bring guests based on service alone! Food is good. I only subtract a star for a couple of reasons...the flavors are good but some of the items we ordered, most notably the salmon, were extremely salty. So much so I couldn't have more than a bite. It's as if I could feel my hands and face getting puffier. And they didn't offer much in the way of dessert. I was a little disappointed. They also didn't serve any coffee drinks, which I found to be a minor disappointment but the tea was very good. Everything was served beautifully. Nothing in particular wowed me. But the overall experience was great and I will most definitely be returning!

This has to be my favorite Chinese restaurant and food place at the casino. There is never really a long wait time here. Or maybe I come at the right timing. The waitress is nice and the food comes out fast . It can be a little bit pricy for some Chinese food. But I never had any problem with my dishes. My favorite soup to get here is the hot and sour won ton soup. To all the people who eat mild this isn't the soup for you. Normally other restaurants their hot and sour soup doesn't come with won tons. My favorite things to order here is Peking duck ( you can do half baos and half pancake if you want the best of both worlds) but the problem is you get all this meat but not enough buns and pancake. The duck is 55 dollars which is pricy at least add a few more baos or pancakes. I also like to get honey walnut shrimp, sweet and sour pork, pork shu mai. The dumplings are good too but I'm not a fan of the colorful ones because half of them aren't good. So I prefer getting the regular soup dumpling. This place is clean and quiet if you have a lot of people In your party they give you a private room to eat in which is nice . The dishes are clean unlike some other Chinese restaurants where I have to order tea to clean my fork and chopsticks. Here everything is sparkly clean. So I don't mind paying the extra money for clean and delicious Chinese food .

Been here a few times already, and the experience has always been great. I've only visited during the week, so I can't say how busy it gets on weekends, but weekday visits have always been good. The servers are friendly, and I really like the ambiane. It's spacious enough for larger groups. The food quality is good for the prices, and the flavors have been reliable each time I've visited. FOOD: * Calamari - 5/5: Lightly breaded, perfectly cooked, and not greasy. * Five Guys XLB - 5/5: Great flavor and good amount of filling. * Lobster Dumpling - 4.8/5: Delicious and nicely balanced. * Chili Wonton - 5/5: Excellent--packed with flavor but I like more heat. * Honey Pepper Sirloin - 5/5: Tender beef with just the right amount of seasoning. * XO Wagyu Fried Rice - 3.8/5: Decent, but beef was a bit overcooked and could've used more meat. * Portuguese Egg Tart - 5/5: Perfectly flaky and creamy--always a winner. DRINKS: The green tea shots were really good! Just note there's a 3-drink limit--maybe to encourage a visit to the bar? I haven't tried their hot pot yet, but that's next on my list. Overall, a good spot for any occasion with good food and service.

This was a much better experience than I expected! Seeing this restaurant in a casino, my automatic thoughts were that this was going to be an Americanized Chinese restaurant, but I was very surprised. We made reservations online, and they apparently had our table ready for us earlier than reservation time, and prior to that, they had sent us messages to have us confirm that we were still coming. Anyway, one of the members of our party came earlier than the rest of us, and they couldn't seat us until everyone was there. The restaurant is on the smaller side space wise, but seems to fit many parties somehow. The restaurant is beautiful! The staff, especially our server, was very friendly. At first glance, the menu prices are higher than you would expect for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered several items for 5 people to share including: -Sand storm spareribs: a little bit of spice, great seasoning/salted enough and it was crispy, but tender. -Tiger prawns in Thai sauce: The main thing about this dish it had a generous amount of shrimp for the dish. Each person had 2-3 shrimp, when I would have expected everyone to get 1-2 shrimp. The shrimp were also slightly bigger than I would have expected in a dish/for your average dish containing shrimp. It was a sweet chili type of sauce, wasn't too saucy/just the right amount of coating, but flavorful. -Wagyu beef chow fun: The beef was so tender. Overall, this dish was well seasoned. I can't recall if it has the char I usually like with chow fun. -Sampan shrimp dumpling: This one seemed to be deep fried with like a rice flour or something, it made the skin somewhat chewy but crispy. It had a similar seasoning to the sand storm spare ribs. Wish I had more! -Mongolian beef (spicy): They will ask you if spicy is ok, lol. It was good, but had a lot of the filler vegetables including bell peppers and onions. This could have used more beef. Beef was tender. -Abalone shu mai: Other than the abalone, it didn't seem very unique, but it was still good. I probably would order everything again but the abalone shu mai. Even my parents who typically would prefer other local Chinese restaurants that are in the lower price range, raved about Dragon Beaux. I think it's worth coming here for a celebration, for sure! I would totally come back, and hope to try more of their dim sum menu in the future!

Wagyu beef chow fun, Portuguese egg tarts, salt and pepper lobster
    Ann H.

Dined in at Dragon Beaux for lunch. Our server was very affable, welcoming, and he had a great sense of humor. He filled our tea cups every time he checked on us. The spicy seafood dumplings were amazing with large pieces of seafood. I love the chili sauce. The pork XLB was overall good. I enjoyed the flavor of the filling and the broth. I was really impressed with the 5 color har kow. The wrapper was delicately soft. Best Peking duck I've had in comparison to other nearby/similar establishments, which was the main reason for my visit. The duck was de-boned, flavorful, and tender. There is an option for either baos or pancakes. I prefer pancakes; therefore, I was really happy that this is an option. The Wagyu beef chow fun was perfectly delicious. The beef was so tender. The salt and pepper lobster was just okay as it is a different variation of salt and pepper. It tasted more like peppercorn/black pepper. It was not bad, just my preference for traditional salt and pepper. I did not care at all for the Portuguese egg tarts. The filling was not creamy and it did not taste similar to Portuguese egg tarts at other establishments. Overall, I enjoyed most of the menu items. Definitely worth a repeat visit occasionally.

Modern Chinese restaurant located in Sky River Casino. Food and ambience was more than I expected being located in a casino. The crab fried rice was flavorful and was my favorite dish. Korean short rib needed a little more flavoring. Service was good with our waitress constantly refilling our waters and tea.

    Chow mein and bbq pork
    Kevin J.

After we gambled the wife wanted chow mein. Went into Dragon Beaux. Very nice and clean place. Sat at the bar. Staff friendly and welcoming. Ordered chow mein and bbq pork. Both were very good BUUUUUUT as soon as the food came out so did the nats. Absolutely disgusting. I told the manager and he said he knew about it and there's nothing the could do. I told him they need to look for wet areas and or food like fruit, that's what they're coming from. He kinda shrugged his shoulders. SMH. When i say the bugs came out that they did. We were waving our hands just trying to eat!! Then we found a massive hair in the chow mein. Told the staff. They made a new order and we packed it in and left. Place needs to be deep cleaned and stop with the excuses of "oh well". Won't go back to this spot.

A Valentine's Day rose to remember our evening
    Heidi M.

My husband and I went to Dragon Beaux at Sky River Casino for dinner tonight. We had never been there before, but we were really impressed. The restaurant is beautiful with cool Buddha statues over the bar, the modern nest-like booths are stunning yet private. The food is delicious as well. We ordered Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Chicken with Jasmine Rice. The two dishes were just right for the two of us. The beef was lean and tender, full of flavor. The sweet and sour Chicken is served in a pineapple so it looks colorful and fun, the pineapple is sweet and the chicken is all white meat chicken breast. Onion and bell pepper complement the dish which has been featured on a segment of Good Day, Sacramento. Last but not least, the service is excellent. Our waitress, Nancy, was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The hostess, Jenee greeted us warmly upon arrival and when we left, she made sure I got a beautiful red rose to remember our special evening. Service matters and these ladies ensured Valentine's Day was perfect!!

    Lobster e-fu mein
    David J.

Went with my family for my birthday. I wanted to have Peking duck for dinner. It was tasty. My favorite was the lobster efu mein. Lobster was cooked perfectly. Our server was friendly and helpful when ordering. Salty fish chicken fried was like made at home everyone liked it. Only bad thing no desserts. Higher end Chinese food for sure but worth it.

They are always so very busy, so don't expect customer service there, just great food. Licious has the exact opposite, great service and okay food. We ordered the following: Szechuan green beans- cooked perfectly with a crunch still. Lacked flavor- not spicy. Fish and tofu clay pot- the fish tasted sweet, oddly. The fried tofu was perfect. Juicy and soft, Beef short ribs skillet- very fatty. You are paying for fat. Maybe it was a bad day. Tiger prawns with pumpkin- it is battered with salted egg, but it's not that salty. I wish it was saltier because I love salted egg. Battered and fried perfectly!!! The Tiger prawns are HUGE!!!!!! I've never eaten such big prawns in my life. The pumpkin was so soft and sweet with the perfect crunch from the salted egg batter. IT JUST NEEDED MORE SALT. Lots of pumpkin! Lobster- lacked flavor and was a very small lobster with not a lot of meat. Salt and pepper fried tofu for appetizer- yummy yummy. Perfect. Whole roasted duck- flavor was perfect, but the skin texture was stale. It wasn't like how it tastes at Tealicious. I don't know why the skin wasn't crunchy. Shrimp and egg chow fun- lacked flavor and too wet. Service was amazing for our two tables total of 18. They kept checking on us and even packed all of our food. There were two servers and only 3 other small tables with ours. The restaurant is quite small and is only for up to I believe 35 people on Theo occupant load signage. I would come back if I craved the Tiger prawns with pumpkin, but nothing else we tried. Maybe I'll try the fried rice next time and do an updated review.

Either way, they are lightening fast and you can always Dash. I was feeling late night snacks so I got sweet-n-sour shrimp (my fave), salt-n-pepper wings (bc why not), and Mandarin chicken because the photos looked so good. Here's my opinion. Shrimp was perf. I love when they are straight and tailess with puffy/crunchy batter, the serving was legit too. The wings were yummy but a once in a while thing I would order if you ask me. The batter is thick and super crisp like a shell and so salty and flavorful in a good way. Came with lots of onions and jalapeños as it should and they chicken itself had a nice almost garlic marinated flavor. The chicken itself was piping hot and the best part. Just 'a lot' to eat-eat for a dinner. The Mandarin chicken was my least favorite just because it was a bit sweet for my liking. The upside is all their chicken this style is always big juicy all white breast meat chunks, nothing unrecognizable. My boys loved it, me not so much due to sweetness and being bready. All in all I still love this place and it is consistently good. If you love orange chicken get that for sure. When I picked up it was a tad warm inside the restaurant. They had the back door open in the kitchen, and it was 103 as a high so it wasn't refreshing to sit down and eat there.

My mom had been here before with a couple of friends and enjoyed it. We were seated quickly, restaurant was moderately busy. I opted for a lunch order of orange chicken ($15.95), which came with vegetable chow mein and hot & sour soup (instead of rice for 95¢ extra). Soup was great, not too spicy. The real star was the orange chicken! It was a mix of dark and white meat, super crispy, and the orange sauce was plentiful with just the right amount of sweetness. Not spicy in my opinion, but a nice citrus flavor. Chow mein was also tasty. Service was friendly and the restaurant was both clean and spacious. I'll definitely be back with the husband and a baby!

Came out to be about $70, which is absolutely crazy to me, but considering we're in Elk Grove I guess I'm not too surprised. I really liked their shrimp fried rice, it had crunchy rice pieces. The salt and pepper wings, along with the general chicken are pretty standard, nothing amazing. These are safe options that we get for my son. I know when we're hungry we would've ordered more but we didn't this time around. The waitress was really nice, always came to check on us and fill our drinks. The inside was cozy. Really enjoyed the wicker chandeliers and the overall aesthetics of the restaurant. I feel like this establishment is overpriced but again, with the items I ordered they're portioned generously. I will be coming back to try the other menu items that veer off the norm as I think it would be more reasonable price wise. I would say check this establishment out for yourself and try out their items overall to see for yourself.

Now In My Top 10 Chinese Restaurants In The Country!…read more SITREP This was THE perfect spot for our "Crazy Rich Asian"-crew (btw, I'm an official adoptee by these peeps in spite of my Italian-Mexican-French bearing *cough*) to celebrate the 2ND COMING (or it the 5th? Maybe the 20th??) of our dear dear friend, Hawaiian Elite TERRY K. coming back to visit with us! THE SETUP Such an incredible restaurant with great seating to support an incredible array of Chinese dishes and beverages! I'm actually in agreement with my friend & fellow Yelper David V. who said, "This place is like a high-quality Panda Express. Is that a good thing? You decide!" And David is right! By that I enthusiastically interpret his opinion as Tea Garden being incredibly ACCESSIBLE to every palette of customer: from those who are just casual Chinese food eaters, to the far FAR more demanding Asian appetites of friends who have much more experience with the wide diversity of Chinese cuisine and know how to ask for it, focusing on seafood, chicken, beef, vegetables, noodes, chilis, spice! PARKING AND "Parking"! It's kind of wild, but I find this more and more to be the case with great ethnic cuisine establishments, that delicious restaurants such as this find themselves in a STRIP MALL. Hey, nothing wrong with that, either! Cheaper rent means cheaper prices on the restaurant food. It ALSO often means tons of free plaza parking as in this case. So much for the car parking, not about where you "park" yer butt! We had a crew of eight (8) and all of us came with the attitude of "Let's try as many dishes as we can!": the large round tables with the large lazy-susans were the best method to make that plan work. If you are only 2-4 people, regular seating at rectangular tables will work just find. THE FOOD! And as I indicated earlier, we had a plethora of dishes: * Delicious broth & veggie soup to start * Crispy Eggrolls with Sweet & Sour Sauce * Crispy Shrimp with Sweet Chili Sauce * Chinese Chicken Caesar Salad * Fried Rice with Chicken & Shrimp * Broccoli Beef * Chicken Tso Chicken....and.... ...I can't remember what else! There was a LOT, but it becomes a blur after all the chicken and beef and shrimp and eggrolls I was devouring! THE LOWDOWN Suffice it to say, if you come with friends and an appetite, you are going to be soooo satiated! And in addition, I lucked out since half our friends were from the Bay Area and they sent me home with a large (LARGE) share of the leftovers that lasted me the week after that weekend banquet! Good food! Reasonably priced! Tons O' Fun!

The place was not busy on a Saturday evening and our party leader ordered the Family-style dinner for 8. The food was plenty with plenty of leftovers to take home! Service was great. Prices are reasonable with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Very friendly and attentive customer service. They are a family- owned restaurant since 2007. There are plenty of seating including booths and round tables. Lots of parking in a shared private lot. Pleasant first time experience! Review #4057

It was solidly average for many, many years and now it just isn't good...each of the three dishes I ordered from here on my most recent visit ended up as items I didn't want to keep eating. I've never disliked any Honey Walnut Shrimp from anywhere, but I disliked it from here. The batter and sauce was not good. The Braised Fillet of Rock Cod was a lot of tofu and the Mushroom and Tofu w/Vegetables had mostly tofu with little mushroom. Each dishes flavor was just appealing...I keep saying, "This isn't worth eating", and just had a tiny portion of each item. The boy choy in the Mushroom and Tofu w/Vegetables dish was DISGUSTING. I know some/many Chinese restaurants may not wash their veggies, but to see the amount of dirt caked in the boy choy was so gross; I've never seen so much dirt on a dish from a restaurant before...At first I couldn't believe all that black stuff was dirt, so I checked with a napkin and sure enough, all dirt. I don't think I can say I want to come back after the last items I've tried from here.

The food was outstanding! We had hot n sour soup, spicy pork dumplings and sesame balls. My husband is still talking about the sesame balls today because they were so good. It was like dining at a friend's house instead of a restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly and the three men in the kitchen were working tirelessly. The prices were reasonable. This restaurant is a to-go only restaurant, and gets plenty of traffic from the area. I went midday (3:00pm) and there were at least 4 customers in and out during the time I was there. While I was checking their menu, I decided to order, since I remember how good their chicken wings are. I ordered the chicken wings, and a lunch combo with chicken with black bean sauce. The combo comes with chow mein and fried rice and an egg roll for $13.99 but I asked for steam rice instead of fried rice. Unfortunately, I didn't check my plate before leaving the restaurant because they gave me all steam rice and no chow mein. Despite the error, their chicken wings are still the best, and the chicken with black bean sauce was very good. I would've like to have tried the chow mein. Also, I didn't notice that they charged $16.99 for the plate, which was a little steep considering I got no chow mein. Some of the condiments are extra, like the hot mustard, so ask for it before they ring up your bill. I'm sure I'll be going back for the chicken wings because it's made fresh and it's really good.
