Mi amor!! The pho was so good. I walked in and quickly sat. After ordering the food came out in 5 minutes. Both phos were hot and fresh and it was reasonably priced and delicious. Unfortunately they didn't have any goldpops but the boss gave us complimentary ice cream!

We were greeted right away as we walked into the restaurant. The restaurant was fairly full when we arrived but the cool waiter was able to seat us. The restaurant was clean and well lit. We ordered the pho ga (my friend changed up the meat a bit) and I got the hieu tieu with broth this time. Our order came out pretty quickly and was hot, just the way I want it. Im pretty particular about my soups being hot, I will return it if its cold. The pho ga broth was clear and clean, really flavorful. The hu tieu had a lot of yummy goodness that's rarely overlooked at other places. It really hits like home. This is one of my favorite pho and hu tieu places in Sacramento/eg. I would definitely come back regularly.

This is my favorite place to get hu tieu dry noodles the sauce that it comes with is so good. They also give you a bowl of broth on the side with a piece of pork. The meat melted in my mouth. I like to get it with pho noodles and the clear noodles . I am not a fan of the heart and liver so they were able to give me more pork meat instead. My boyfriend likes to get the pho there. I haven't tried to pho yet but it looks good . The service there is great. We were starving and the food came out fast.

I came by to place a quick to-go order since I wasn't feeling well. It was around 11am on a weekday and it was pretty empty with one or two diners. I ordered the hủ tiếu (pork noodle soup) with the yellow egg noodles. They came out with my order packed to-go really quick. I got home and assembled the food and it was delicious! Really comforting and tasty. I would come back just for the pork noddle soup and this may be my new go-to spot for it!

We came here for lunch last Saturday. We were greeted and could choose the seat we wanted. The owner was nice and friendly. I ordered beef tendon with fresh noodles, and my hubby ordered pho combination. I really enjoyed my tendon, and my toddler enjoyed it as well. The broth tastes MSG-free to me. My hubby enjoyed his bowl, too. They have plenty of seating, and the plaza is big. We definitely will come back again.

Wife saw a new spot and we checked it out for dinner. Interior was clean with nice decor. Waitress seated us quickly, was polite and attentive. Primarily a pho place; menu smaller then I was expecting (3 soups, 1 rice plate, no dry noodle, etc). Large bowls were like a small at other restaurants. We ordered: Spring Rolls - good taste, sauce looked fresh Pork Egg Rolls - nice crunch, good filling, came with fish sauce Large Pho Dac Biet Combo (2) with fresh noodle - never seen meat on the bone before! Good amount of meat but other pieces seemed smaller then other places. Overall I thought it tasted really good! Large Pho Ga combo white / dark free range chicken - wife and son really liked it. Avocado Shake - good taste. Egg Cream Coffee - wife said good flavor but thicker then she expected.

Stopped in with the fam to give this a try. Was impressed before we even stepped foot into the restaurant! A guy saw us walking towards the door and held it for my wife, who was at least 10 steps from the door. I was about 10 steps behind her, and the guy still had the door opened for me; turned out that he was the part owner! His graciousness continued in the restaurant, as he continued to talk to us about his business and made recommendations without being pushy. The dining area was clean and organized, floor to walls. Menu was simple, not like traditional pho restaurants that offer 40+ entrees; this one had under 20. We ordered 2 appetizers: the chicken egg rolls, which wasn't greasy and had a decent amount of filling, and the spring rolls, which was ok (wished there were more noodles in the rolls). The peanut sauce was warm; didn't have any crushed peanuts which would've been a nice touch IMO. For the main meal, I ordered the pho with only rare steak and tripe with clear vermicelli noodles (mung bean, which was a plus to hear). Other noodle options to choose from was yellow egg noodles, rice noodles, and fresh rice noodles for $1 more. Broth was good, not too greasy. The beef was tender and tripe had the right amount of snap to it, not too chewy. My wife ordered the free range chicken pho (regular chicken also offered, depending on what texture you prefer); simple with somewhat decent amount of chicken. My son ordered the Hu Tieu Nam Vang with glass noodles. I myself wouldn't order it, unless you're into pork heart and liver, along with calamari, pork shoulder, quail egg and ground pork, but that's just me. We also ordered Hai Nam Chicken Rice plate, which I was told was similar to Hainanese chicken over rice. This dish didn't quite hit the mark. We were expecting poached chicken, boneless and tender breast meat nicely sliced with fragrant jasmine rice like at other places that offer Hainanese chicken dishes. What we got was chopped chicken pieces with bones attached and rice that had faint ginger/scallion flavoring. The side bowl of ginger scallion for dipping was ok but a bit too much oil. This item was listed at the bottom of the menu, so I should've known this wasn't going to be a standout item. Overall, the service here was outstanding and the food was good. I wouldn't Mi Amor is the most authentic Pho place, but it's good enough for me to say we'll be back for the Pho if we're in the area.

First time visitor. Arrived about the noon hour on a Saturday and was immediately seated with menu and waters. Tried both the beef and chicken broth and both were plenty flavorful. The beef in my bowl was soft and not dry at all. The "side veggies" were also fresh. Maybe because this place is still new, but I really appreciated the cleanliness especially for the sauce bottles and condiments! They have the normal rice noodle and fresh noodle option for your pho. Service was very good. The man who served us our bowls (may have been the owner) asked to make sure we had everything we needed before leaving us and was very friendly.

I recently discovered Pho Mi Amor while looking for new-to-me pho spots to try. While I'll always have my solid favorites, I do enjoy branching out and seeing if a different restaurant catches my fancy. Pho Mi Amor is tucked away in a quiet strip mall where Big Lots used to be. It's conveniently off 99 and Elk Grove Blvd. The entrance can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The interior of the restaurant is bright and clean, and I was greeted and seated immediately. While it is cozy, there is still a good number of tables, with some larger tables to accommodate bigger groups. I came on a quiet Thursday, but I can see it getting busy on a weekend. The menu is limited, which is just fine for me. I came strictly for the pho bo. I didn't have a big enough of an appetite for the #1, so I went with the #2 medium, and decided to upgrade to fresh noodles. It didn't take very long for my food to arrive, and I loved that the basil had giant leaves, especially as I really enjoy adding basil to my pho. The lime was really juicy, which was a huge plus since I usually ask for extra lime. Here I didn't have to. The bean sprouts were fresh as well. There are plenty of condiments for you to doctor up your pho as you please, including my favorite--spicy chili oil. It is indeed spicy, so be careful about how much you add. As our community manager Rachel mentioned in her review, the broth is a little sweet for my taste too, but overall their pho does hit the spot. The wide fresh noodles had a nice texture without being overcooked. Next time I want to try the regular noodles to compare. All the cuts of meat were tender, and there was a good portion for the price. The medium is a really good size here as well, and I was definitely full after my meal. Pho Mi Amor has been added to my list of pho spots I'd return to again, and I'd love to see what my husband says about the broth when I bring him next time.

A true hidden gem! Randomly found this place on a night out and decided to give it a try and I'm proud to say this will be a main staple of mine! We were instantly greeted by kind servers and it just felt warm inside. The server thoroughly explained the menu and you could tell how passionate he was about each dish, we got the beef pho, hu tieu, and spring rolls each one was absolutely delicious. The spring rolls have such a strong fresh flavor paired with a creamy peanut sauce, you can't go wrong! The soup based dishes were so aromatic and flavorful it makes you feel like you're visiting Da Neng! I came back the next day to have it again and it didn't miss! This place is a must try!!

    Pho Dac Biet

We have come here several times already in the past couple months and missed out on reviewing. We love how the pho dac biet here has really good tasting bone broth and they load up on the meats. Who doesn't like more meats! They do not skimp. The pho ga today was decent. Maybe not their house special but good to have other pho options. But any beef pho here I would recommend. I recall last couple times my wife had the pho gau. She loves brisket and it was so satisfying. They also offer fresh noodles which is a priority for us when having pho and not many places around here offer that. Lots of seating with some light music and great service attending to you.

The hủ tiếu nam vang(pork noodles) was surprisingly flavorful and I really liked the clear noodles. The regular sized hủ tiếu was not worth the price because in my option, the portions were very small even though it had rich flavors. They only had chicken egg rolls at the time and it was not good. Probably would be a lot better with pork, but it was not available.

    Chicken pho with fresh noodles

I have been here twice now to try their two main types of pho. The first time I had the pho dac biet with a side of rib bone and fresh noodles. The broth was rich and full of flavor and there was lots and lots of meat. I really enjoyed it. My second time, I tried the chicken pho with dark meat. They were out of the free range chicken on the day I visited for lunch. That was more a clear lighter broth and still enjoyable. Of the two I definitely like the traditional pho better and will order that next time I go. Service was good and food came out fast.

Always greeted at the door and pick your own seat, super easy! They take your drink order if you don't want water; note they have a boba/smoothie set-up too which my wife always grabs an avocado smoothie. Lately wife orders the fried crispy noodle combo (aka: bird's nest), and then a Phô bowl and of course A5: pork & shrimp spring roll. The menu had a bit too much going on and in my opinion -- restaurants should have a speciality rather than offer so many items because taste and quality loses itself somewhere in the middle of 100 different menu options. I know my partner and I are pho snobs but what we had wasn't even pho. The broth was basically hot water with a tad of salt or chicken bouillon. There were no hints of star anise, cinnamon (often referred to as Saigon cinnamon), cloves, black cardamom, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds -- nada. And the noodles were way too overcooked making my dish so difficult to eat. I ordered pho and it looked like pho -- but it tasted nothing close to it. I need to share that as a reality to the owner and staff so they can make changes to the quality of their food -- otherwise, I don't know if this place will survive the competition. Also, I observed a staff member behind the counter blending a smoothie of some sort, tasting it with a spoon, and then putting back said spoon into the smoothie to stir before pouring it into a cup (and I saw the cup delivered to a party a few tables down from us). That probably isn't very hygienic and it's sad to see that's how things are handled behind the scenes here. I just happened to look over from our table and was pretty disgusted. Moving on, I hope these guys shape up because the quality and taste of food was actually bad. And, I can rarely say that about restaurants I patronize because I love supporting local small businesses. Best of luck to these guys.

For 4 people, the medium size catfish was the perfect size! It came with vermicelli, assorted veggies, rice paper, and dipping sauce. We also ordered the crab fried rice, tofu clay pot, pork chops, and the rock and roll beef. I must say after finishing the spring rolls, everything else tasted mediocre. The fried rice didn't stand out and a bit too salty. The pork chops were a bit dry, the tofu clay pot was very flavorful but too salty as well. The beef was tender but the flavors was alright. Next time I come, I would just order the large catfish spring rolls and maybe the pork or beef skewers.

Grilled Butterflied Catfish DIY Wraps (Spring Rolls) 4/5* Tay Giang's version is ok and can satisfy my cravings, but it is a copy-cat version of the original slow-baked catfish from Southern California. It seems the catfish here is deep-fried, I believe to cut down on the wait time, but I still prefer the original Vietnamese version where they can take up to 45 minutes to slow roast the catfish. Still, this version is tasty with strong marination and slather of scallion/peanut oil. The deep frying creates a lot of crispy pieces for added texture to your spring roll. But warning.. if you order the small catfish, there isn't much meat and is mostly fried crispy parts, so I recommend the medium fish. Like all Vietnamese dishes, it comes with loads of fresh veggies and herbs. I also like that they provide the flattened vermicelli noodles (banh hoi) instead of rice noodles. They also give you a variety of sauces: tamarind fish sauce, regular fish sauce, and freshly chopped chilis to spice up as you'd like. Authentic Catfish Claypot 5/5* Catfish stewed in a peppery carmelized sauce. They didn't have the usual boiled egg with it, but this dish was bursting in flavor. Sweet, salty, savory, and lots of black pepper with hints of spice from the rest chilis. Best eaten with rice to soak up all the sticky sauce and flavor. This dish sends me back to my childhood days. Bun Bo Hue 4/5* Flavorful and lots of meats and veggies. I'm not a spicy eater, so I thoroughly enjoyed this BBH. Most other places make it too spicy right off the bat, but here they let you add your own spice. The noodles are springy and broth is perfectly salted to enhance the beefy flavors. Banh Xeo 1/5* Don't get this. This was terrible. The batter was so thick and deep fried, inside had too much bean sprouts and onions and not enough pork or shrimp. I've never seen onions in a banh xeo before and it was weird. The batter was what really ruined everything. Banh Xeo is supposed to be thin and crispy, but this was thick and crunchy. I've also tried their pho here and it was decent but not memorable. The star here, of course, is the catfish spring rolls. They do have an extensive menu though, serving a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes and well as vegetarian-friendly. They've gone thru tough times during the pandemic and I've seen vandalism and broken windows, but I'm glad they survived the pandemic, because this is the spot when it comes to Vietnamese catfish dishes. I'm hoping they stick around for many more years; we often frequent Tay Giang for dinner.

It's very spacious and full of color, with a beautiful barrier of plants that naturally guides you to where you begin the ordering process. The first thing that caught my eye was the stunning mural on the wall, paired with bright red-orange chairs that gave the restaurant so much personality. The ceiling, decorated with bamboo-style plates, added a unique touch, and the natural light pouring in made the whole place feel warm and inviting. Everything was laid out in a way that felt easy and straightforward. O - Ordering Experience The ordering process was smooth and efficient. You order and pay at the front, and once you're done, they direct you to your assigned seating. I really appreciated how organized everything was. Before we even sat down, all of the pho add-ons--sprouts, onions, mint, and lemons--were already waiting for us at the table, along with the drinks we had ordered. Within just a few minutes, our food arrived. The service was impressively fast, and everything came out steaming hot with a beautiful presentation. This is definitely not your average pho spot. O - Overall Taste & Quality We started with the beef short rib appetizer, and I honestly had to double-check that it was the appetizer because it far exceeded my expectations. The portion was generous and perfect for sharing. For the pho, the bowl was filled with fresh, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles that were tender and not at all chewy, and an abundance of quality meats--not scraps. They definitely do not skimp on portions here. Even after sharing, there was still plenty left to take home. I left feeling completely satisfied and even happier knowing I truly got my money's worth. D - Delivery/Dining Experience This place absolutely exceeded my expectations and has quickly become one of my favorite pho restaurants. The atmosphere was clean, vibrant, and very pleasant. Everything felt thoughtfully organized from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. I especially liked the pay-upfront concept because it allows you to simply relax and enjoy your meal without having to flag someone down for the bill later. The entire dining experience felt smooth, peaceful, and enjoyable. #PhoLovers #WorthEveryBite #FreshAndFlavorful #GreatAtmosphere #FastService #FoodReview #LocalFavorite #PhoSpot
