I booked a pedicure at Phoenix based on recommendation of a Phoenix client I met at my usual salon (Inspire Nail Bar). I booked an appointment for 5/25 at 10:45am. I scheduled an appointment with Tiffany, as recommend by my new friend. I get to Phoenix, and the technician tells me to follow her. I asked if she is atiffany, she said no and told me her name. The host tells me Tiffany is not available, I assure them that I booked Tiffany and showed my confirmation with Tiffany's name. I ultimately agree to let this other tech service me; okay, sure I'll try the random person. Pedi turns out nice despite the logistics discrepancy on arrival. I was pretty excited that I loved the shape and color! However...here we are 1 week later, and my polish is all chipped off. Insane! My pedicures last no less than 3 weeks; and truthfully, I end up keeping my toes polished from a pedicure for probably a month before I see any issue or feel the need to get them redone. I could not believe this! About 11pm Saturday night (6/1) I was preparing for bed, picked out my outfit for An event the next morning and realized my toes looked terrible! I had to remove and repolish my own nails in the morning to be presentable in sandals. Now, I can't say the nail tech was terrible because maybe the base polish, color or top coat were bad polish, I don't know. So I won't name the person who did them and accuse her of a bad job, because it looked relatively good when I left the salon. But I was HIGHLY upset overall at the predicament it left me in $40+ dollars, wrong technician and 7 days later. I assure you, I have not been to any pool, kicked any dirt or done anything that would cause ruin to my pedicure. I'd barely gone out my house the whole week since I work from home and it was rainy half the week. I contemplated going back with my complaint to actually get Tiffany to do it as originally requested, but I'm probably never going back there again.
Perfect dip manicure and of course I got my feet done. I've been coming to Phoenix since I was in high school and now I bring my kid here. I strayed away for a little while because I moved but I'll just have to take the drive because no one gets me right like Phoenix. The vibe is nice, it's clean, and they truly take care of your nails. They don't rush and everyone is just so polite. I've always been a fan of this nail salon so I'll never stray away again. lol.
Of all the places I've ever had my nails done this is by far my favorite! Every technician here is stellar! You can't go wrong but you MUST make an appointment, just use their app and select your service. Their customer service from the moment you check in is unsurpassed for the area, and you will not be disappointed. The cleanliness of the entire salon is clean; each station has a spot for your cell phone and a hanging hook for your handbag. 5-stars!
I'm been going to this Nail Salon on and off for 20+ years. After COVID I didn't get my nails done, tried doing them myself I'm done with that so yesterday I decided to handle it, ....I went to my OG spot.. And let me tell U Phoenix has stayed consistent in their professionalism and highest quality of service after all these years . I have never been disappointed. I can't say enough good things about this establishment . If u want cleanliness, amazing customer service, top-notch professionalism...... oh yeah did I mention they stay on top of the latest and the greatest from nail shape, design, eye brows and waxing PEIROD! I sound like an add but IDK this has been my experience Treat your self u will not regret
I came in today to get my nails done and my technician Mai did a beautiful job on my nails. She is very professional, She took her time to clean and shape my nails she also offered me a nail design that I fell in love with. She is wonderful. I would recommend her to my friends and family that's why I give her five stars.
A friend of mine recommended Tasha and I haven't gone to anyone since. She is very careful and makes sure everything is clean and even checks back before she starts painting. She never rushes like some technicians. I am always happy with my nails when I leave here. There are many technicians here and most of them take their time and are very careful which is very important. Haven't gotten a pedicure here yet but I will update when the time comes.
My friend has mentioned this nail spa a few times as a regular spot she goes to. So I decided to schedule a pedicure date with her. What I loved was the convenience of scheduling an appointment online. You can select what service(s) you are interested in, date and time. In addition, if you have a preference, you can also select the technician you want to do your nails or other service. Once I scheduled it, I got a text confirmation. My friend and I arrived at our scheduled time and were immediately helped. The front desk had a barrier between the greeter and customer. There was hand sanitizer and COVID 19 regulations posted. They also had a temperature scanner. There is an iPad on the desk, in which you sanitize your hands and are able to check in using the iPad. You can then choose from the multiple nail polish colors and they take you right away. The set up was rather great and reassuring. Although the salon is kind of narrow and small, they definitely implemented the safety protocols, such as sanitizer, temp check, distancing customers, sanitizing between customers, barriers in between customers and nail techs, and enforcing masks. The staff were so nice and the salon itself seemed very clean. I made the mistake of not remembering the name of the woman that did my pedicure, because she really did an amazing job. She took her time and didn't make me feel rushed. I also love that the pedicure includes a paraffin wax, which a lot of other places charge for separately. I definitely recommend trying out this place if you need some self care and are worried about going somewhere during this time. They definitely enforce sanitary practices and provide excellent service!
This is a 3 year update. I've had to accept the fact that this nail is permanently disfigured. My skin has stayed in a peeling state ever since my visit here summer 2021. The nail is constantly soft with horizontal and vertical waves. It splits easy on its own. All sorts of blood work has been done. I do not have a thyroid problem or anything else. I obviously can't get my nails done like normal. I really wish I knew what they used on me, because that nail did NOT come off like I Stated in the original. It finally came off September 2021 by accident, and it had been on since June. It survived bumps on glass while bartending and getting caught in a storage door which made the split worse. It survived numerous attempts against acetone. WHAT WAS USED ON ME? Especially for it to NOT HEAL within 3 years? And to stump dermatologists??? The photo with the green is obviously taken in 2021. The new photos are from now in 2024. For some reason my photos keep getting flagged, I'll happily send photos with proof of the current date to anyone who asks.
I'm updating my review just to say how awesome Christine is. I missed my regularly schedule appointment and was assigned to Christine. Her work is impeccable. She also has a very outgoing personality and is a great conversationalist. She has easily become one of my faves. So good to know I have options:-) I'm updating my review to 1 stars. I went in today for a polish change. My nails are not even a week old and she tells me they charge $30 for a polish change for acrylic and $40 for a fill. I asked her why and she tells me that's just their prices. That's the craziest thing I've heard ever. I've never paid the amount I would charge for a fill to have the color changed. I will not be back.
My friend and I walked in on a Friday evening without an appointment. Even though it was pretty busy, they were able to take us in about 10-15 minutes. We opted for the gel pedicure over the regular. The gel pedicure is $52, whereas the regular pedicure is $34 or $38 (I can't remember). I think that the gel pedicure is worth it. I also appreciate that they were able to paint my very tiny toenails. The pedicure includes paraffin wax. It was a nice way to end the pedicure.

I treated my daughters to what I thought was a gel mani and gel pedi for their upcoming picture day. Upon arrival I specifically stated gel mani&pedi. I was not allowed in the back which upset me a bit but I understood the policy. Yet had I been allowed back there I would have seen them putting regular polish on my daughters when I specifically requested gel polish for mani and pedi several times! They also keep repeating how much it would costs and I told them the price didn't matter because it's what they needed to get done. The price was completely ridiculous $168 for two gel manicures and two regular polish pedicure for two children under ten. Insane but they needed it done for their picture day. I found it to be reasonable had they gotten a gel mani and pedi but $168 for regular polish is absurd. My daughter came to me at 530 and told me that her nails were messed up. I checked and seen the uploaded pictures. I called and called and called over 10 times before someone answered. I let them know we had just been there and the nails were messed up. TK instructed me to come back before 8. We arrive and I show them the messed up nails. I expressed them my frustration as I had instructed them to use gel and not regular polish. I was under the impression that for $168 my children had gotten gel. If not I would have paid the difference to ensure they had gel polish. I told them they needed to fix it. They didn't apologize for their error. They didn't apologize for the sloppiness of their work nor would issue me a refund for having to come back only gave me an attitude and told me I should have paid more for the gel when that's what I told them I wanted from the beginning. The quality of their work is horrible. It's rushed and sloppy. I asked for hand painted designs and got a sticker which isn't being cured just sealed with clear polish. She has polish on the top of her toes and on the cuticles not a clean job at all. They also do not change gloves in between person just takes them off and turns them inside out to use on the next person. They have this wax they request you to dip your hands in yet everyone in the salon dips their hands in. How often is this wax changed? Why aren't people required to wash their hands before dipping it in this wax? My daughter received used flip flops from out a bin which disgusted me and to top it off here we are again at home and her nails are yet chipped again. I do not recommend nor will I go back. This place is a joke. read more

I love Jenni's work at Pheonix Nails. She truly takes care of my nails and helps me keep them long. She is patience and detail when cleaning and painting the nail. Some technicians, or at least the one in Bethesda, don't clean my cuticle name much and says that it's best to leave it alone because it will harden the skin around it. I believe her, don't get me wrong. I found my happy medium with Jenni though. If you go to Pheonix the owner TK is super nice. It's usually packed in the evenings and mornings so call ahead. This is the worst nail experience I went to this location to have my a fill in the nail tech sucked and could barely fill my nails after 6 days my whole nail lifted and Eventually broke they refused to fix it unless I payed 8 dollars. I've been getting my nails done for years and never had a lifted or broken nail 6 days after a fill on top of that the the shop won't take Responsibility for it. I not only spend money here but I brought a friend and the polish on her toes are already chipping. I won't be back i am greatly disappointed and dissatisfied with the customer service. read more

Awful experience. They overcharge and it wasn't even a good manicure. They don't clean your nails and it's $10 more if you want even your cuticles cut. Still dirt and polish on my nails. They rolled their eyes and talked about me while doing my nails. Understood everything. This was $65 dollars. I would absolutely not go here again. read more

Rude. Rip off. Unprofessional. My sister brought me here today to treat us both to a full set, pedicure and we both also had our current nails taken off. She looked at our bails, quoted us $205 for all 3 services for both of us. After starting my nails and and my sisters pedicure (she was also soaking off her nails) the owner approached my sister and told her she "forgot" to tell her that for a longer length it was be $10 extra per person and an extra $20 for the shape we wanted. (Coffin) So, my sister decided to finish getting her pedicure and not to get the full set. Because my nails had already been started, I decided to finish my nails and not get my pedicure. When we politely declined the other services, the Owner became very rude saying that we should expect to pay extra for a longer length and coffin shape. (Below you can see what her idea of "longer length is....my nails are normally longer & I have never been charged this much extra for the length and coffin shape) The owner charged my sister $120 for her pedicure, my full set and for soaking off her nails. When we got home, we realized she charged her card TWICE!!! $240!!!!! We have been getting our nails done every 2 weeks for a very long time. I am always very polite and I always explain upfront what I want and ask for a price. I expect that to be the same price by the end of the service. To change the price half way thru and then get upset when we choose not to continue doesn't make any sense and is extremely unprofessional. I will NEVER come back to this nail salon and highly suggest anyone take their money elsewhere. read more

My first visit was a mess that's why i didn't write a review right away, i gave them a 2nd chance today but still didn't do great, i guess my expectation was too high because of the good reviews here. First visit gel manicure after 23 hours my thumb nail chip in, i called in the next day for it to be fix, they fixed it for free of charge that's why i decided to come back. ( not happy making 2nd trip for manicure) 2nd visit gel manicure with regular pedicure, they have appointment coming so i feel rush and just judge the outcome, i'm attaching a photo. i paid 83$ including the tip and not sure if it's worth it! read more

Got dip nails and a pedicure. Both were great! They did a wax dip on my feet I've never had before and they are so smooth. I don't get dip often because I always think they look chunky but my nails are nice and thin! Great experience. read more

Friend of mine recommended this place. I had a Diana as a nail technician. Her technique is good but nail polish application was not as good as her other skills. I attached the photo of freshly done manicure. The gap between cuticle and nail polish is way too big. Then, it was a time for pedicure. First what I noticed - they don't use liners in a bathtubs. They just spray it with clean bubbles and rinse with hot water - that's it. My technician had a long nails which were digging into my skin all the time through her gloves. It was not pleasant. I don't have any other concerns regarding my pedicure, I just hope I did not catch any fungal infection in there. I can not recommend that place. read more

This salon is consistently better than many others I have tried in terms of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. I was recommended this place years ago and have made it my go-to spot ever since. I highly recommend. All of the technicians are friendly and remember your name and things you have said to them in the past. The manager, KC, runs the establishment professionally and politely. Needless to say, highly recommend. Also, they have great movies playing every time! Added bonus. read more

If only I could put zero stars. Yesterday I went in for a full set. They looked ok to me in the moment so I paid the total, $50. I left and 20 minutes later really looked at them and was like omg this is terrible but I was already out at an event so I just dealt and went back today. But they tried to charge me $30 to fix their work. I refused to pay that. You need to fix your mistake! I went to three nail salons to get them fixed before someone would do it because they were so bad. DO NOT GO HERE. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. read more
YASSSSS YASSSS ! i had to pay a visit to phoenix nails with all of the hype from yelp. I had been really disappointed lately with other nail salon visits I have had, especially since I would ask for a design on toes and the technician would refuse or didn't know what they were doing. So I had good hopes for this place and was satisfied ! Walked in and greeted by the receptionist and she asked me if i would like a water , which I was impressed with because no other nail salon has ever done that before. They played calm music and a lot of techs were on duty which is a really good sign ! I had a color change on my toes and a fill in full set gel. Good prices and superb service ! My nail tech Jenny went above what I am usually used to for a toe color change. She rinsed and washed my toes , and painted and designed very well.Everything was brand new and just ahhh! Plus when you see young male techs yes you know it's legit ! She did not refuse to do a design on a french pedicure which i appreciated . My nails were the perfect length ! I just moved from CA and was needing a new place to go to but was feeling really Nervous trying a brand new spot. Jenny did a great job with my gel manicure. Always great service. Very clean, very professional and definitely the best nail salon in the DMV. I have been coming to Phoenix for 15 years, literally. As a hairstylist, My hands are my living. My nails always last, even in chemicals & water. I send all my clients here. I am so very picky when it comes to my nails & I have never been disappointed. INCREDIBLE!!! I made an group appointment for 8 people about a month in advance for my wedding. They accommodated us all so graciously and we had a wonderful time. We all loved our nails - my bridal mani pedi was perfect and flawless. It's been 3 weeks and my dip manicure still looks amazing! I took my fiancé here after we had previously went to another place that she was not pleased with their work. She is incredibly picky and critical of most things. So that being said, you can imagine my joy when she said this place was great. She got a manicure and a pedicure, and she was pleased from start to finish. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to me, who had to wait around. They set me up at a table so I could work on my laptop and gave me a bottle of water. They had several fans so the air was refreshing and cool. Thank you for making her experience, and mine, great! We will be back! Pictures attached. read more

I started going there this summer and have been very happy with the service. I love the Paraffin wax that comes standard. The customer service is wonderful. The gentleman at the front desk is very friendly and remembers everyone. I was offered color changing gel at no extra cost, and its been fun. I was up-charged one time for extra gloss colors? Not sure why that cost more. I only wish that the price wasn't so high. I paid in Cash its $68 for a Pedi / Gel Mani. (Saving 6% off the reg cost for Cash) Gel I feel is a bit over charged. It costs more for Gel then for a full set. Perhaps i'm paying for the quality. However I do not like the location of the shop. Its in a trashy strip mall with some unsavory people lingering outdoors. In summary: Quality of service: 5 stars Quality of Massage: 4 stars Location would give 3 stars Cost: 3 stars. I averaged my score to 4 stars. read more
Ladies need to hear this and beware. I paid $35 for a gel manicure. Every woman knows that proper gel is supposed to last for two week plus! Mine started chipping terribly after just 5 days. When I returned to the salon and spoke to the manager, he smugly told me "After 3 days, there's nothing we can do. It's time to re-do whole thing, sign in have a seat." WHOA Any other salon would repair the chipped nails and at least apologize for the shoddy work. Nails are a huge investment to us ladies and I'm appalled at his attitude towards my experience. Red Door Spa will repair a nail no questions asked. Shame on me for cutting corners and trying to save a few bucks at Phoenix. read more

I was here a few days ago and loved it After driving to 3 different nail salons I found this place. I asked for black matte stiletto nails. At first she did not understand what they were so I showed her pictures and she worked with me. I already had 3 nails that were just repaired 2 days ago so she suggested a cheaper way so instead of removing my full set and replacing she did a fill in. They are welcoming and try to give you exactly what you want and don't half ass. I will be coming again :) I wish I remembered her name though :( read more

I.LOVE.PHOENIX.NAILS! There's damn good reason for this place having 4.5 stars. I've been going to Phoenix Nails intermittently since May 2013. It came highly recommended from my sister in law after being denied an appointment by a place that I frequented for nearly 2 years. My mom, sister and I were looking to have a Girl's Day to celebrate mine and my sisters graduation from our given Masters programs. After being so disgusted with how I was treated by my former salon, I called Phoenix in hopes of them having availability for 3 mani and pedis. The owner, TK, was extremely pleasant over the phone and gladly got us in with fairly short notice. With just that phone call I could tell that Phoenix Nails was going to be a hit! We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and immediately escorted back for our pedicures. Let me tell you something. I've had many pedicures from many establishments over the years. But this pedicure...my goodness! It was amazing! I was lucky enough to have Hannah as my tech. Boy, was that a gift! She was friendly, engaging in genuine conversation as if we'd known each other for years! Not only was her personality a gem, but her work was out of this world...not to mentioned the paraffin wax that was included with the service. When she was done it felt like I had a new set of feet! The same was true for my gel manicure. Amazing! Both my mom and sister were highly satisfied as well. My mother lives 2 hours away. Since this appointment, she has come back with me twice just because she loves the service! I've made it my mission to make all my appointments with Hannah, but she is soooo popular that some times she is unavailable. I just love her! But, no worries. That salon is full of talent! I went back on this past Wednesday evening for a full set after being absent since the summer time. Even after being gone for so long, TK remembered me and asked how and where I've been! Hahaha! As Hannah was already booked, I saw Holly. Another gem! I told her I wanted short, very natural looking nails. Goodness, did she deliver! My nails looked amazing and exactly what I wanted! About 3 hours after leaving I foolishly broke a nail. Ugh! Not to worry! I went back yesterday after work and Holly repaired it, looking as if I'd never broke it! AND they didn't charge me! I'm not one to typically write reviews, especially this long, but I must give credit when it is due. I got a full set this past visit to make sure I have more frequent visits. This is my second time at this salon and I still love the quality I receive in nail care! I came in for a mani/pedi and it was so relaxing. My pedi was painless! I've gone to places that just stab the edges of my big toes and it's so painful! NOT THIS PLACe! The lady that did my toes was so gentle and did a great job! I was pleasantly surprise when I got Hannah to do my nails today! I have heard so much about her through yelp I was so excited....it was like meeting a celebrity! Not only did she do a wonderful job with my jacked nails (hadn't done anything to them in ages), she was the most pleasant person to have a conversation with! She was so friendly and talked about our lives as if we were two friends hanging out. This is my go to place! Love everything about this place! read more

I was in desperate need of a wax and pedi and was in the area running errands. After doing a quick Yelp search of the best nail salons in the area, Phoenix Nails came up. Normally, I would steer clear of anywhere near Lakeforest Mall, but I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside. I had to wait a bit to be seen, which probably speaks to how popular PN is, as every nail tech was busy on a Monday around noon. The young lady who waxed my brows did a great job. She listened when I told her that I was trying to grow them back thicker after a mishap at another salon. When I first walked in I was handed a small baggie with new tools. As for my pedicure, the nail tech did an amazing job. They also offer a paraffin dip for your feet with the basic pedi. This really impressed me because I've had deluxe pedis at other salons that cost $55+ where they offer the paraffin wax. She also cleaned up around my nail beds with a brush and nail polish remover to make sure there was no polish around my cuticles. You can't tip on your card, so bring cash, but if you forget there is an ATM two stores down at the beer and wine store. read more

I absolutely love love love this place! I've been going here for about 5/6 years. Although I am not as consistent as I used to be back in the day I still try to make it in to my favorite salon at least once a month! I usually go to Holly, but I've had the pleasure of getting serviced from Linh & Hanna who are just as great! They really take their time in everything they do. Everyone there is super cool and super nice! TK will always offer you a refreshment and there will always be a newly released movie playing on the TV screens. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and they always give you your "own" set of new tools to give to your tech to use during your visit there. I highly recommend this salon to everyone! read more

This nail salon is the best! All of the technicians I've had know what they are doing. If you find someone you like, it is best to make an appointment, but you really can't go wrong just walking in. Lynn, Nina, Hanna.. All great at what they do, and I know there are others that I am forgetting off the top of my head. The salon is clean and all the tools are taken out of sealed packages, which means yes they do sanitize them. I get acrylic nails with gel polish on top, and the gel polish really does last much longer. My nails will grow out long when I wait too long between fills, but the polish never chips. For a gel fill-in (with the acrylic nails) it is $40. I get it done about once a month because it lasts. They don't recommend waiting that long to get it filled, but hey I am on a budget. If you get a new set, they do charge $8 to take the old set off so keep that in mind. And the color selection is great- you will be able to find a color that sparks your interest. They also offer you a water bottle as you are waiting, and if they don't offer, just ask for one. Overall this salon does the most thorough job. I am always happy with how much attention to detail they have and, most importantly, my nails have consistently turned out looking great. read more

I have been coming here for YEARS. I absolutely will never ever, ever, EVER go anywhere else. Hanna is phenomenal, and her work is nothing short of stunning. I walk out feeling like a new person ever single time! I have gotten so many compliments on my nails, whether they were done by my girl Hanna, or someone else if she wasn't available. I tell EVERYONE to go there! I would definitely suggest making an appoint so you don't have to wait around so long, but they always accept walk ins! TK is the man, he's the one you'll see write when you walk in. I honestly love everyone there, and have never heard anyone complain about any work in the seven-ish years I've been coming here. I am loyal to Phoenix forever! read more
