Wow, didn't know my last review would be ROTD alongside a bunch of support so thank you everyone! Not much has changed since my last review (including prices) but Cindy's is still doing a wonderful job with running their business safely. I still recommend calling in to make appointments, but if you do decide to walk-in, you may be subjected to wait outside or in your car for a few minutes before receiving service. Upon entry, they'll take your temperature and you'll have to sign-in (they have a jar for clean vs dirty pens provided to you!) to acknowledge that any liability issues will not fall upon their business as nails and waxing services still require some person to person contact. The employees try to take extra precautions by wearing arm guards or face shields in case of aerosols when filing nails or waxing. To avoid other customers, weekdays (Monday - Thursday) are the best days to go. Business has been relatively slow but I enjoy supporting this establishment as they really abide by these safety regulations. Again, I would recommend Jennifer for any waxing service you may be interested in. She does a phenomenal job, is very professional and friendly. read more

It's been a month since I've gotten my nails and toenails done. After 2 weeks of getting acrylics, I had to remove them - and man was it painful or what! Typically I just soak them in acetone and wait for it to loosen up and slide off. I'm pretty sure part of my nail got cut off so I had to wait for it to grow. I'm also pretty sure she drilled my nails too much because it's been exactly a month and they aren't back to their healthy nails. However, this review is mainly for my pedicure. As mentioned before my pedicure was only 30 minutes long and felt super rushed. It's been exactly a month and the nail polish is already chipping! My toes look disgusting! Even when I do my nails myself, the nail polish will last at least 1.5-2 months. I expect my nails to last even longer if I got them done at a salon. Considering it's winter and I haven't been wearing open toed shoes, not sure why the nail polish is chipping. I'm upset that this place didn't meet my expectations. I'm definitely going back to my regular salon for pedicures! read more

One of the best nail salons in the area especially during this pandemic. I have been going here for years now. They are popular in the Rockville Pike area. The owners are friendly and nice. This salon is clean and big. I don't have a particular nail stylist. All staff is attentive and sweet. They take their time doing their manicure and pedicure. I love doing their pedicure the massage is so relaxing. Their prices are reasonable and they do quality work. I took my parents and my sister-in-law here, now it's their favorite nail salon. They follow the covid-19 protocols. Everyone is wearing a mask, they provide hand sanitizer, and they have plastic covers on every manicure and pedicure station. Wow, what is up with their gel nail polish? I came in on Monday as I was heading out of town. My regular lady at another salon doesn't work Monday's and I needed to get it done. They soaked off my dip powder and I got a gel manicure (as I don't trust everyone's ability to do dip powder) and three days later one nail cracked the next day 4 nails had cracked, polish chipped. I finally got up to see them on the fifth day, they fixed the four nails and then later that evening the day before Easter Sunday this one now chipped, what kind of cheap gel polish are they using?!! I haven't been cleaning I have only gone to work. I paid $47 for this and to think it couldn't not even last one week!!! Never had this happen. I will never be back! I treated my little brother to a pedicure as our family vacation approaches. We both got pedicures and the service we received was nothing what the reviews stated. The ladies who took care of us didn't wear name tags and when I asked for their name they began speaking in their language to disregard my question. The massage chair people talk about while getting a pedicure didn't work. The lady who serviced my feet let the water overflow and made a huge mess everywhere. She told me to walk barefoot to another chair as she was in the middle of clipping my toenails. The second chair also didn't function correctly. Due to the water spillage she caused, she tried to catch up my brother's treatment and I noticed she skipped everything he got. I feel ask if she took out her frustration on me and began cutting my toes aggressively and hurt me, as I said OUCH! She then tried to blame it on the form of my toenail; unacceptable. When I asked for a discount they laughed and told me to stay longer at a working chair for the massages. After speaking with the lady at the cashier, she apologized and charged me full price. I asked for a discount and she uncomfortably accepted after other customers who were around agreed they saw what happened and how we were treated. Men, do not go here, you will be treated unfairly and charged full price! Today, my big toe is still bleeding from her deep cut out of frustration. I came here a few weeks ago and had a pedicure. I tried to get a pedi and nails done today. I got a pedi. They were able to accommodate me and said we can do it. So I was happy. So I go to the pedi chair and the person came to do my dip nails, she started putting on my tips by the pedi chair putting on my tips. I know its done sometimes, so I didnt think twice. I looked over at my nails and I mentioned my tip was shifting to the right (crooked) and I thought to myself, it was because she is standing up,I was being understanding, but asked for her to please replace, it was going fine, so I assumed. She put it on again and it was crooked again, this happens sometimes and I politely addressed it again, she stopped abrubtly and said someone else will do your nails. I was confused, like what did I do? Noone came, they all looked down the shop but noone came what did she say about me? Everyone stopped to look at me. It was embarrassing. My nails were soaked in acetone to get the tips off and she tried to clean them but left it dry and pieces of glue and tip on there. Then this one lady came and was very vocal and came and looked at my nails with tip and glue and this was going to be another stand by the pedi chair, not station , she said some more things to the previous nail tech and was hesitant, so I felt uncomfortable and asked should I come back another time and she immediately said yes. I never have been treated in this manner. Management was willing to have someone else do my nails. I accepted, but as I was explaining and why I was confused about what happened. I wanted to explain what happened noone wanted to do my nails. I was as polite as possible and did not make a scene. I explained to the manager what happened and as I walked by and the tech who didnt work on my nails , she started saying thats not true. She called me a liar, basically. I was just there and got a gel manicure for my wedding this Saturday. I KNEW the gel light wasn't working correctly on my right hand but trusted the process. When I got home I noticed the polish was completely full, coming off, and discolored - this was less than an hour after I left the salon. My left hand is totally fine. Only giving 1 star because they did a great job of taking off my old dip powder. I was a walk in and was seated right away after choosing a dip powder. Their dip powder selection was very scarce in comparison to other nail salons. I was seated at one station to remove my old dip and then was quickly shuffled to another station a few moments later (super weird). I will note that when removing my previous dip the nail tech was very gently. At other nail salons (Sandy Nails) they have removed my dip so harshly that it's removed parts of my natural nail but Cindy Nails didn't do that which was great! After removing the dip, my nail tech did not clean or do anything with my cuticles. She simply started applying my new dip powder. Everything felt super rushed and in the end I was given a very sloppy manicure. I don't think I can even call what is on my hands a manicure bc this seriously sucks. This was not worth $45 and will be going elsewhere to have this removed. read more

I am so thrilled to say that I have finally found a nail salon worth driving from D.C. to Rockville for. This is my 5th time here and I can promise you that you definitely get what you pay for (service, professionalism, and customer service). Cindy's is one of those places where you can make a reservation, but literally everyone is just as experienced with super short nails, damaged nails and long nails. They make great conversation with a guarantee that you will be out of there in about 30 minutes (depending on what you get obviously and in this case, I always get gel). Their polish is always new and usually lasts a little over 2 weeks. The salon is very clean and so are their tools. They also have a parking lot, they're walking distance to white flint metro station and Pike&Rose. Best of all, their employees have been there for YEARS. read more

Pretty average pedicure here. Would've been higher rated, but they did not put a liner in the foot tubs. I can only hope I don't get any diseases. The woman also kept telling me to put my feet on the bare portion of the tub without a towel on there. I might sound like a clean freak but this is really what all the other places i've been to regularly provide. The pedi itself was fine but then she rinsed me off with cold water. Not pleasant. So my feet were cold even though it was 90 degrees outside. She comes back with a hot towel which felt extra hot bc my feet were cold. Polish selection was a bit limited. I wanted a neon color for summer and they only had neon yellow or green, neither looked appealing. She ended up picking out a blue for me. It looked nice until it chipped after a week.
