If you want quality nail services done efficiently and at a reasonable price- Cindy's nails should be a go to for you. I come here for pedicures/gel manicures and they are often able to complete my services in an hour to hour and a half. This is a large salon and I enjoy the ambiance - just keep in mind that they are often busy. If you call in advance they can almost always squeeze you in. And they have a wide variety of nail colors- I love the 112 purple shade! read more

Sigh... I've come here on occasion for at least 5 years now, but I can't confidently go back again after this. When I arrived for a walk-in, I told and showed them exactly what I wanted, and they said ok and took me back. As my appointment went on, they avoided doing the design I asked for on my toe and took me to do my fingers. Then they said they can't do cat eye nails on short (mid sized) nails, but I can't do acryllics for my job. Why not say that from the beginning? I stated at the door cat eye no acryllic. Btw my friend has done cat eye on my regular nails before and I was happy with it... unfortunately she was busy... I didn't know what to say and felt embarrassed trying to decide what I wanted on the spot, my tech was definitely frusterrated with me and at that point I wanted to leave. But my toes weren't done. Same thing, they took me to do the design on my big toe with acryllic paint and it looked bad :( so I just asked to take it off. At that point my expectations were crushed and now I paid full price for nails I never wanted. I was rushed out for another customer and I get it bc it was a waste of my time too. My nails don't look bad, but it's nothing like I imagined. Have low expectations and simple designs only if you choose to come here. Katie is the only one I would trust and she took great care of my mom. My mom and I had totally different experiences unfortunately read more

It's been a month since I've gotten my nails and toenails done. After 2 weeks of getting acrylics, I had to remove them - and man was it painful or what! Typically I just soak them in acetone and wait for it to loosen up and slide off. I'm pretty sure part of my nail got cut off so I had to wait for it to grow. I'm also pretty sure she drilled my nails too much because it's been exactly a month and they aren't back to their healthy nails. However, this review is mainly for my pedicure. As mentioned before my pedicure was only 30 minutes long and felt super rushed. It's been exactly a month and the nail polish is already chipping! My toes look disgusting! Even when I do my nails myself, the nail polish will last at least 1.5-2 months. I expect my nails to last even longer if I got them done at a salon. Considering it's winter and I haven't been wearing open toed shoes, not sure why the nail polish is chipping. I'm upset that this place didn't meet my expectations. I'm definitely going back to my regular salon for pedicures! read more

I treated my little brother to a pedicure as our family vacation approaches. We both got pedicures and the service we received was nothing what the reviews stated. The ladies who took care of us didn't wear name tags and when I asked for their name they began speaking in their language to disregard my question. The massage chair people talk about while getting a pedicure didn't work. The lady who serviced my feet let the water overflow and made a huge mess everywhere. She told me to walk barefoot to another chair as she was in the middle of clipping my toenails. The second chair also didn't function correctly. Due to the water spillage she caused, she tried to catch up my brother's treatment and I noticed she skipped everything he got. I feel ask if she took out her frustration on me and began cutting my toes aggressively and hurt me, as I said OUCH! She then tried to blame it on the form of my toenail; unacceptable. When I asked for a discount they laughed and told me to stay longer at a working chair for the massages. After speaking with the lady at the cashier, she apologized and charged me full price. I asked for a discount and she uncomfortably accepted after other customers who were around agreed they saw what happened and how we were treated. Men, do not go here, you will be treated unfairly and charged full price! Today, my big toe is still bleeding from her deep cut out of frustration. Any recommendations for men elsewhere will be high appreciated. read more

I came here a few weeks ago and had a pedicure. I tried to get a pedi and nails done today. I got a pedi. They were able to accommodate me and said we can do it. So I was happy. So I go to the pedi chair and the person came to do my dip nails, she started putting on my tips by the pedi chair putting on my tips. I know its done sometimes, so I didnt think twice. I looked over at my nails and I mentioned my tip was shifting to the right (crooked) and I thought to myself, it was because she is standing up,I was being understanding, but asked for her to please replace, it was going fine, so I assumed. She put it on again and it was crooked again, this happens sometimes and I politely addressed it again, she stopped abrubtly and said someone else will do your nails. I was confused, like what did I do? Noone came, they all looked down the shop but noone came what did she say about me? Everyone stopped to look at me. It was embarrassing. My nails were soaked in acetone to get the tips off and she tried to clean them but left it dry and pieces of glue and tip on there. Then this one lady came and was very vocal and came and looked at my nails with tip and glue and this was going to be another stand by the pedi chair, not station , she said some more things to the previous nail tech and was hesitant, so I felt uncomfortable and asked should I come back another time and she immediately said yes. I never have been treated in this manner. Management was willing to have someone else do my nails. I accepted, but as I was explaining and why I was confused about what happened. I wanted to explain what happened noone wanted to do my nails. I was as polite as possible and did not make a scene. I explained to the manager what happened and as I walked by and the tech who didnt work on my nails , she started saying thats not true. She called me a liar, basically. I told the manager, I am sorry, I am not going to give you anymore business. I paid for my pedicure and left. Pictures speak for themselves. read more

Only giving 1 star because they did a great job of taking off my old dip powder. I was a walk in and was seated right away after choosing a dip powder. Their dip powder selection was very scarce in comparison to other nail salons. I was seated at one station to remove my old dip and then was quickly shuffled to another station a few moments later (super weird). I will note that when removing my previous dip the nail tech was very gently. At other nail salons (Sandy Nails) they have removed my dip so harshly that it's removed parts of my natural nail but Cindy Nails didn't do that which was great! After removing the dip, my nail tech did not clean or do anything with my cuticles. She simply started applying my new dip powder. Everything felt super rushed and in the end I was given a very sloppy manicure. I don't think I can even call what is on my hands a manicure bc this seriously sucks. This was not worth $45 and will be going elsewhere to have this removed. read more

I am so thrilled to say that I have finally found a nail salon worth driving from D.C. to Rockville for. This is my 5th time here and I can promise you that you definitely get what you pay for (service, professionalism, and customer service). Cindy's is one of those places where you can make a reservation, but literally everyone is just as experienced with super short nails, damaged nails and long nails. They make great conversation with a guarantee that you will be out of there in about 30 minutes (depending on what you get obviously and in this case, I always get gel). Their polish is always new and usually lasts a little over 2 weeks. The salon is very clean and so are their tools. They also have a parking lot, they're walking distance to white flint metro station and Pike&Rose. Best of all, their employees have been there for YEARS. read more

I've been going here to years and I would say it's a hit or miss for a manicure/pedicure depending who on you get. Vy was my go-to (she no longer works there), now I recommend Candy for gel manicures. She listens to what you want, is detailed, takes her time, and there's no chips or bubbles! Pretty average pedicure here. Would've been higher rated, but they did not put a liner in the foot tubs. I can only hope I don't get any diseases. The woman also kept telling me to put my feet on the bare portion of the tub without a towel on there. I might sound like a clean freak but this is really what all the other places i've been to regularly provide. The pedi itself was fine but then she rinsed me off with cold water. Not pleasant. So my feet were cold even though it was 90 degrees outside. She comes back with a hot towel which felt extra hot bc my feet were cold. Polish selection was a bit limited. I wanted a neon color for summer and they only had neon yellow or green, neither looked appealing. She ended up picking out a blue for me. It looked nice until it chipped after a week. That is extra irritating when the polish doesn't last. It rarely happens to me because i'm generally in flip flops in the summer. read more

I have been going to Cindy's nails every week(reg mani) to 3 weeks (gel) for over 6 years. I love it there. They do a GREAT gel manicure and pedicure and have colors for days. They also have tons of seating and you can always walk in! The nail service itself is great, and they cater well to children too. Almost anyone you get there will do a fantastic job, and with the probably hundreds of manicures I've gotten there, I've never had a "bad" experience. I just moved here and have been looking for a new nail place. I've tried a couple, and I fell in…read morelove with one, only for the nail tech I loved there to move to Texas after 2 appointments.‍ For the review: I'll start with the fact that the guy who appears to be the owner is absolutely lovely. I called to inquire about aura nails; I never do designs but my birthday is in a few days and I wanted a little extra something to feel fabulous. It's been an absolutely insane week and I rescheduled here twice. He was very accommodating and kind about my scheduling needs. Now, the less positive part: ***please note that I am only doing this review for the folks like me who take reviews really seriously and are particular about beauty-related things, specifically, in this case, nails. I have no desire to trash this place, because then were nice.*** That said, I was told that they could do the nails I wanted and I was excited based on the photos in their Yelp page. I felt really confident that they could do something I would absolutely love, specifically because their Yelp page says they do nail art and design, and whenever a salon does nail art and design, their basic nail techniques and everything else are typically great. Unfortunately that is not the experience I had today. I got an incredibly mid pedicure that actually looks 2 weeks old as I'm walking out of the salon right now. (Before leaving I told them that I did not like it, but it was late and I had to go and I could tell they were tired, which I didn't think would help my issue.) On my way out the gentleman who did my manicure (he only did my hands, not feet) told me to come back the next day to have it redone. The problem is that I don't think I have time to go back tomorrow, and frankly, I shouldn't have to. I'm sorely disappointed in a $70 pedicure looking like I did it myself. My other major issue is the color selection. I know not everybody is as maniacal about color as I am, so eat the fish and spit out the bones here. If you are pretty routine or have a basic range of colors that you're willing to try, you probably will not have an issue. I, however, am a brand designer/graphic designer and happen to be very color-sensitive. I always go to nail salons that have robust color selections because my eye can spot a vast difference between two pinks that might be right next to each other on the display. Not every color looks good on everyone's skintone, and I like what I like. It was SO challenging to find a color here that I liked and honestly I was just looking for a pink from a Pinterest photo. The sample nails that they gave me to choose from were inside of a plastic container, which 1. Dulled the color 2. Put the nails under a glare from the lights so you couldn't really see them The colors also just weren't great. It felt like a very old-fashioned selection of dip colors. When I actually did choose a color (one I only liked a little) and she went to put it on my feet, it turned out to be a COMPLETELY different color, and I'm talking maybe 20 shades different than the color that I chose and a totally different undertone. I didn't want to belabor the point because she had another customer she was rushing to try to get to that seemed to be a regular customer of hers and I didn't want to take up more of her time. But I'm really disappointed because I came here with a vision, wanting something very specific and I left with a manicure and a pedicure I wish I just had not even gotten. Honestly, my nails looked way better when I came in than when I left, which is saying a lot because both my hands and feet were nearly 3 weeks old. The only reason I didn't go back to who did them was because i was seeking nail design, and I ended up leaving with no nail design at all anyway! I feel like I flushed $140 down the drain, especially bc I will have to have this all fixed. In summary, lots of people seem to love this salon, so although I really had a two-star experience, I gave them three, because I truly think this is a matter of just not being a fit for me. Every place isn't for everyone. If you're pretty easy like Sunday morning with your nails, you should likely just ignore this. But if you are also particular about your nails like me, let this be a forewarning that this may not be the experience you're seeking. Stay beautiful, guys.

Ladies pay attention on my review Owner Paid for YELP to take the TRUE off (they took my friend review off) Ladies look for all the shop around before TRUSTING YELP Why other SHOPS are over 10 years and only few BAD REVIEW???? Laddies !!! Don't Go here Never come to the empty place to get the RUSH JOB I've been here 2 times, a good friend treats us when I come to visit. My first time was good, 2 stars, but this last time was less than exceptional. There was a young woman who was clearly the daughter try to rush for my manicure and pedicure, the issues of dirty no clean tools at all. My two friends had great experiences for their spa manicure and pedicure. The staff that worked with them were solid and thorough. No wait at all. seem empty. had the pedicures begin. The chairs do massage which is nice and they are not very loud. When a staff person came to me, Mindy, she was less than welcoming. She didn't ask if I wanted my nails cut, she just started cutting, she hardly spoke to me, and she was done with my pedicure (where I needed polish to be removed and applied) BEFORE my 2 friends, again both men who are not using polish. Clearly she rushed through this. For my hands she did the same thing. She also took a phone call while doing my nails, which bothered me a bit, but when I realized it was a client calling her I figured "why hate on her hustle" but was a bit sad when I saw it was a much older (at least 60) man who has her personal cell phone number and expects her to cater to him and will interrupt others appointments to get his needs met. she left my manicure to go write his name on the appointment book before he arrived. When he arrived he interrupted again to ask which chair to sit in to wait for her to attend to him. No massage of any sort, she was basically going through the motions. I bet that dude who showed up would have what the services are expected to provide. My manicure was completed BEFORE my friend, again who was not receiving any polish application. My polish was a rush job, it started chipping in a few hours. She tried to get me to do a gel manicure but when I said "no" she didn't push, which I appreciated. If I had paid for this I would have been so mad, but this is a hit or miss kind of spot. The older women are more thorough from my experience, but the location is good, products good, and a good selection of essie and opi colors. TRUE REVIEW for RUSHING JOBS DON't GO HERE read more

I go to the nail salon every two weeks. I get a gel manicure. Stacey is the best and she usually does my nails. Unfortunately, yesterday Stacey was off. So I took my chances and got my nails done by someone else. HUGE MISTAKE. The lady I saw was the owner's sister. She is little older compared to the rest. DO NOT LET HER WORK ON YOUR NAILS! She starts to take the shellac off my nails. Since she was in a rush she did not let the cotton balls with the acetone sit on my nails for long so she was struggling to take the polish off, she proceeded to get the bottle of acetone and squirt acetone on each nail one by one to take the extra shellac off my nail in a beyond rough manner. After, the shellac is all off she starts to cut my cuticles, and that ended up in a mess when she caused me to bleed on two different nails. I thought manicures were supposed to be relaxing. I guess not. So later, she starts to paint my nails and put them under the light. The final product was a disaster between it having bumps and the side being clumpy. She finishes off by putting lotion on my hands, first hand is left with lotion still on my hand and she proceeds to tell me I'm done and to go pay. As I go to pay I realize how much worse the nails look, so I pay them for the horrible service, tip, and immediately ask when Stacey will be back so I can book an appointment with her. I book my appointment for the very next day. I booked my appointment with the owner. He sees how unhappy I am. I walk to my car and realize that I can't walk around for a whole day with my nails looking as if a child painted them. So I go back in and ask them to take off the polish and that I would have them fixed the following day. Next day, I go in and have Stacey fix my nails! They ended up looking great. But as I am leaving they try to charge me another $25, when I had already paid $35 the day before and they were well aware of this. They tried to tell me that I should of complained the day before to avoid being charged twice. I explained to the owner that I did complain and that I was so unhappy I had the polish taken off immediately. Should I have to pay again because a job that was not done properly the first time and was left with two bleeding fingers? Poor customer service on behalf of the owner and his sister. read more

I didn't really enjoy my experience here...in fact, quite the opposite...it was stressful. My pedicure was terrible, RUSHING. I had a french gel manicure with the girl that works there. She is not very detail oriented and her english is not good at all (such that I couldn't even communicate to her what I wanted). I asked for rounded square. Some of my nails were VERY square and some were round square and some were round. I asked him to fix this, and she did...although one of my nails was filed such that it made my nail look crooked. She asked me if I wanted my nails short, I told her I like the length they are now, just make them clean and even (which would mean you can cut them to make them the same length). She read this as not to take off any length, even if they are not even with the other nails. Because of this, to get the whites of the french manicure right, he showed my nailbeds on some of my nails (some, not all...which would show that they were NOT the same length)...which is the sign that you need to get a french manicure redone because it's grown out! This is unacceptable! She redid it and her face looked vary RUDE to me. In addition to showing the nail beds, the french part of the manicure was very sloppy in general. Some of my nails' white line didn't look straight, didn't go to the edge, or even the white was ran down from the line into my nail bed on the side. I asked him to fix it...had to get the sweet guy at the front to translate for me. The owner is argumentative that the customer was in the wrong, but they will fix it (I heard this argument with two other customers while I was in there). She tried to fix it, and only made it worse. I asked for the owner to fix it, and it did look a lot better...of course I could still see the beneath white lines of the previous try. In the end, after three tries, my nails are fine and not embarrassing. My pedicure had is terrible. I didn't enjoy the attitude of the owner or the sloppiness of the man's technique. I also didn't enjoy that noone could understand me except the poor man that works at the front who had to get in the middle of all issues in the store. anyway, my polish chip off in 2 days. I will not be back for RUSHING. read more

I joined yelp specifically to write a review about this salon. Now, I don't trust YELP after I knew that Onwer paid for YELP to rated them good. I have been here twice once for a pedi and eyebrow wax and the second time for a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax. The mani and pedis were too quick, rushing to get another customer, and a little higher price than someone closer to this salon. The main technician was not overly friendly, she was rude. The salon is comfortable and appears smelly, not clean tools. However, the eyebrows waxing were a problem. The first time I went the job was just so-so, no cooling lotion or clean up after so I should have known better to get them done there again. But I was there so I figured why not? The wax was too hot and it burned my skin above my eyelids and below my eyebrows. It felt a little warm she asked me if it was too hot but by then it was already on my face with a strip of paper on it, so I don't see why it mattered. Afterwards my eyebrows were tingling and the salon worker kept looking at my eyebrows, so I figured something was up. I asked if I was red and she said yes so I asked for lotion. The lotion she applied burned so much it brought tears to my eyes. She said I had sensitive skin and should just put cold water on at home and it would be fine. I've gotten my eyebrows done many times and NEVER had a reaction like this. A day later my eyebrow area was red and swollen and the burn marks, two red slashes beneath my eyebrows, are dry and starting to scab. I'm furious that this happened and furios that they tried to tell me my skin was senstive when in reality they burned me. I feel that the worker clearly knew she had done something wrong. I will never, ever go back here. NO MORE TRUST YELP read more

Stay Away! Owner PAID for YELP to rated them good. I used to go there about once or twice a month and would get a great manicure and pedicure. After moving to big as factory nail. I stopped going there as regularly. While in the area this past weekend, I decided to try get a mani/pedi there. It was an uncomfortable experience. The nail tech had to rush quickly finished the woman he was working on and motion me that they are rushing to get another client. She worked very methodically and rushed through the pedicure for 15 minutes. I asked for the sides of my big toe to be cut down which he never did except for cutting the skin side of the toe and letting it bleed. She did not seem to care that it was bleeding and just smiled and continued doing it. It was a horribly painful pedicure. The manicure was not any better. My nails are still uneven and look as though they have not been filed or cleaned up. A few hangnails remained after the manicure though she did hurt my nail bed. I was so relieved when the mani/pedi was over. She actually had the guts to ask about an eyebrow wax. If the mani/pedi was painful, I can only imagine what the eyebrow was would have been like. This is a place to avoid. None of the employees who were there two years ago are still there. all new employee had once told me that the owner expected them to work fast and simple which this girl seemed to do. With management like that, I can not blame the old employees for not staying. It is sad that the quality has dropped so drastically. The polish came off in 2 days. I decided to try out LA NAILS, 1 block away, they do much better job. read more

Cindy Nails is undoubtedly one of the best nail salons in the Rockville and Bethesda area. My family and I have been going here for over 5 years, and within all our visits, we have all left there with satisfactory and quality service. Rachel, Luy, and the front staff have always provided me with accommodating and cooperative service. Especially during the pandemic, the owners have gone beyond to follow the CDC's safety protocols. All staff wear mask, gloves, and wash their hands frequently. They clean the chairs well and use table sheets to ensure your safety. They also have plexiglass covers for every manicure and pedicure stations. In terms of nail services, they have a variety of colors, ranging from regular nail polish to gel, dip, and acrylic. If you don't find the color you are looking for, they will find it for you, check in the back, and even order it for you for your next visit. Although I don't have a particular nail stylist, all of the nail technicians have provided me with exceptional service. My nail technicians in the past, who have done an amazing job, include Jessica, Wendy, Tien, and Tracy. Overall, I would highly recommend this nail salon to everyone. The staff are very professional, friendly, and patient! read more

A friend of mine recommended Cindy Nails when I asked for a good place to get a Brazilian wax. I didn't request a specific person and when I got there I was told Wendy would be waxing me. First, the place itself felt a little factory-like, with a lot of tables and rooms for waxing...it felt very impersonal. I was told to go to room #3, and waited a few minutes for Wendy. She came in and without many words started my wax. It was horribly painful, she went over the same areas repeatedly. She was not gentle and I wasn't able to understand much of the few words she said to me. I felt completely uncomfortable and ended the appointment early to go home and finish the job with tweezers. Never going here again. In my opinion, you get exactly what you pay for with the cheap cost of $38. read more

I don't usually write a review but I think this place deserves one. We had a wonderful experience! Tammy and Yen took great care of us, and we were really happy with the results. They're both very friendly and clearly take pride in their work. They took their time to make sure everything was perfect. I got a manicure and pedicure, and my friend got a manicure--we could tell they really knew what they were doing. Unlike other salons we've been to, there were no gaps along the edges of our nails. Everything looked flawless." I recommend this place. Don't just read all these unpleasant reviews, go get your own experience and see how it is. Check out this place and use your own judgment. Based on my own experience and my friend's, we would go back!

All of my sets lasted close to a month with little to no chipping until the last week. The only reason I had to get a new set was how grown out they were! I also got a gel pedicure two months ago that hasn't chipped at all. Overall, the most long lasting gel I've had in the DMV area. Wonderful service, clean location, and stellar results. This salon is close to where I live and I used to go there before. I liked their quiet place and…read moremassage I received there. The reason I stopped going there: nail polish was not spread evenly. Today I needed pedi and I was in a rush, so I thought maybe they fixed it and went to the salon out of convenience again. They were understaffed, the girl took me in nicely, gave a few good advices, but then the process was rushed (I did not mind it as I myself was in a rush, but if I would come there to relax, that would be an issue). In the end a new client came in and the girl was spreading nail polish on my big toes. As salon is very dark, I just had a feeling it was done poorly, but when I came home: OMG!!!! All these bumps! Seriously? Who does it??? Probably the girl thought that she does not need to try for 50+ lady, well, it was my costly mistake. The whole thing cost as my regular pedi in DC (which already includes callus removal, scrub with massage, towels, lotion with long massage without gloves) + a gel manicure. I entertained the idea of going back and asking them to fix it, but then thought - what is the point? I will receive negative vibe, plus the very reason they did it - means they do not care. Why would they care all of a sudden? Will be scheduling with DC lady so she could remove this mess and do what she does. Never again!

(4/5) I've been…read morecoming to Nails Allure for 3+ years now, and overall, it's one of the better nail salons I've tried. The biggest tip I can give: always book an appointment--the service is way better when you do. Jenny is amazing with designs (hands down the best!), and her partner Andy does the cleanest polish jobs. They're both super professional and clearly know what they're doing. I've had a few hiccups here and there--like once I paid $70 (plus $10 tip) just to get my nails taken off and filed. My nails ended up super brittle and honestly, it felt like a waste. I wouldn't recommend that service--just get them redone instead. Also, I've been cut before to the point of bleeding (not with Jenny or Andy, but another tech), so just a heads-up. That said, most of the staff here are really good: Sofia is gentle and cleans my nails better than anyone else, even Jenny sometimes. Hannah takes her time and does a great job--super patient and detail-oriented. Julie knows her stuff and is really steady with her work. Sometimes Jenny can feel rushed, so I rotate between techs depending on how I'm feeling and what I want done. At the end of the day, I definitely recommend Nails Allure. I've had way worse experiences elsewhere, and despite a few bumps, I keep coming back.Good vibes.
