Not only did the warmth environment of conversation made me comfortable but hearing other artist interact with their customers as well was great. My appointment started at 6:15 and I was out of there by 7:00pm she was fast and efficient but the quality was amazing! She took extra time to make sure my nails were cleaned up and were healthy before putting any polish on. She asked me for quality checks before drying and even when I slipped up and chipped my nail during drying she didn't even blink an eye to fix it for me. Angie has a lovely personality, thoroughly explains procedures, and does top notch work. I recently had a mani and pedi by Tiffany. The pedi was amazing because of the massage. I've had a lot of manis and pedis in my life, but these were the best. Also, I was the only person getting a mani and pedi. Their set up suggests that only one client at a time is allowed to get a mani or pedi. I don't know whether this has always been their set up or if it's new due to Covid. Also, when getting the mani, Tiffany and I were separated by a plexiglass shield. From now on I'll only get manis and pedis from Tiffany at Radiance. My regular (non-gel) mani lasted almost 2 weeks! I recently had my hair colored by Teresa. She did a great job. She has also blown-out my curly hair a few times, making it nice and straight, but with bounce. Gabby has washed my hair and gives an awesome scalp massage! Radiance at Lansdowne takes Covid seriously and follows strict protocol to prevent transmission. They got an all-new building air filtration system early in the pandemic. All employees wear masks at all times: they don't even eat in the building as that would mean removing their masks! And, if you'd like the employee you'll be seeing to double-mask and wear a face shield, you can just let the front desk know and they'll accommodate your request. They follow an anti-Covid cleaning regimen that's VERY thorough and do not allow employees to work if they are sick. Before your appointment you must complete a questionnaire that assesses the possibility that you've been infected. You must call the salon from your car when you arrive for your appointment and they will let you know when you may enter the building. They have hand sanitizer at the door and expect all clients to sanitize their hands upon entering the building. I am super paranoid about getting Covid, but feel safe going to Radiance at Lansdowne.

I go to pay and am charge $113 before tip. When I ask where the other money is coming from they say, "you got your hair curled which is an additional $33" (plus another $5 eco charge?). If I would have been told that curling my above-the-shoulder hair was going to be an additional $33 I would not have moved forward with that. I was shocked that I was not told that at the time of styling that it would be a surcharge (and anyways, $33 to curl hair??) Writing this review to warn others of "hidden" charges. Perhaps this is standard but I was completely surprised and am turned off from returning.

just now New This is…read moreTHE worse place I've ever had the displeasure of going to. Not just for the bad service I received but for the horrendous behavior from the staff. I went in yesterday to get a milky French tip with funny bunny as the base. After coat 2 I spoke up and asked why he was leaving so much space near the cuticles, because I knew if I wanted him to fix it then he was going to have to do ANOTHER coat and my nails were already looking white instead of sheer. He cut me off and dismissed what I was saying. Proceeded to tell me "this is the base, we have to add another coat" since when did the nail techs decide what the customer wants?? I hate my nails and they had the nerve to charge me almost $70. I called this morning and spoke to a woman who said I could come in and get them fixed, no problem. When I entered the salon this woman who I believe is the current owner (Tammy) said "let me see your nails" I started to explain and she said nothing was wrong with them. Then her and the guy who did my nails dismissed everything I was saying as I was trying to explain what I didn't like. This was all in front of other customers. As soon as I started to feel the tears coming, I just walked out. Why would you tell me to come in to get my nails fixed and then humiliate me and shut me down when I get there? Salons who actually care about the customer and are proud of doing great nails would fix the issue. These people are truly disgusting and only care about making a buck. I would never treat anyone like this.
