I believe these were hand dyed yarns.

I really like this shop. I don't know a lot about the craft yet, and I am working on crochet. They had crochet hooks and I'm not sure what else they're supposed to have for crochet items but someone else said they had none and that isn't true. It seems like to me that they have a good selection and color variety of yarns. I loaded photos of the products because no one else has and that was something I wish had been here before I went. There are a few more cabinets and shelves but I didn't want to include any people in my photos. My visit to Phx knits happened to line up with a distributor/procurement person visit taking orders from the owner, and I spoke in length with them about the yarns suitable for my projects and they helped me make a more educated decision on my yarns. They even offered to order in some colors I wanted that they didn't have in stock at the time, so I thought that was above and beyond service. I've been to some other shops where it feels like they can tell you aren't "one of them" yet and they treat you differently like you're a burden or too much work. Not here. I'm appreciative of that. Will be back.

This was my first time to Phoenix, Arizona. I enjoy finding yarn shops in the different cities. My first time in Phoenix Knits. There was a worker at the cash register helping a customer. I had to be in the store at least 3-5 minutes. The working never acknowledged me, didn't say hello. The store was very limited on yarn selections. As I was walking to the door to leave the worker finally acknowledged me by asking could she help me. I said no. As I walked out the door she thanked me for coming. I will not visit this store again. The crochet supplies were not available and I did not feel welcomed at this store.

Hands-down, they have the greatest selection of spandex and Lycra fabrics. They're beaded laces and special occasion. Fabrics are also stunning. If you see something you like, it's best to buy it all because it may not come back. I have never gone in and not found what I wanted or needed for my projects. Sometimes I just enjoy wandering for an hour over lunch to see what's new and say hi to the staff. I wish they stayed open later on Saturdays and maybe had limited hours on Sundays because now that Joannes has closed, it's hard to grab things in a pinch. But I'll take what I can get because I really love shopping there. The value is absolutely incredible for the quality of some of these performance fabrics that you will pay 2 to 3 times more for online and even more than that with shipping.

Being 7 months pregnant and asking for a bathroom and denying cause it's " not for the public " was ridiculous to me. I'm literally waiting for my fabric to be cut in a long line and asked politely and was denied. Where do all the employees go?! It was very dismissive and disappointing that they would deny someone of my condition for a very special circumstance. Fabrics are fine staff were not nice - ruined the whole experience for me

DECEPTIVE SERVICE CHARGES -- BUYER BEWARE I visited this…read moreestablishment intending only to purchase a replacement belt and lubricating oil for my vintage 1950s sewing machine. I required no instructional assistance whatsoever -- merely the supplies necessary to complete routine maintenance myself. Upon arrival, I was directed to the service department to obtain the correct belt size. I brought my machine along specifically to streamline this process, since the original belt had stretched considerably. A female employee attempted to determine the appropriate size between two options but was unable to reach a conclusion, despite removing my belt for comparison. She subsequently enlisted a male colleague, who tested both sizes directly on my machine -- a task requiring minimal expertise and no specialized training. Only after determining the correct size did this employee inform me that a $25 service charge applied -- a fee neither he nor his colleague had disclosed beforehand. Had I been informed in advance, I would have simply purchased both candidate belts, tested them at home, and returned the incorrect one -- avoiding the charge entirely. While the establishment does post signage indicating a $25 hourly rate (with a $25 minimum) for servicing, I never requested a service; I sought only to purchase merchandise. Compounding matters, the store keeps all sewing machine components locked behind the counter, entirely inaccessible to customers, effectively compelling patrons to rely on staff assistance -- assistance that then incurs an undisclosed fee. I left feeling deceived and taken advantage of by a business practice that appears deliberately structured to manufacture billable interactions. I strongly encourage prospective customers to clarify all potential charges before allowing staff to handle their equipment. Where to report this: Better Business Bureau (BBB) -- bbb.org -- file a complaint against the business; it becomes part of their public record and rating. Arizona Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division -- azag.gov -- handles complaints about deceptive or unfair business practices in Arizona.

Brides: please save yourself the stress and stay away from this shop…read more I came in with a clear vision for a custom gown. The owner rushed me and my friend (a professional fashion designer) to make snap decisions about materials--without ever asking to see my design ideas. Later, she tried to put the blame on me for not providing every single detail up front. She insulted the sundress I was wearing, treated us like we were wasting her time, and then quoted me twice the price for the same style of dress I later purchased at Brilliant Bridal North Phoenix. Whether she was intimidated by my friend's design background or simply had somewhere else to be, the message was clear: our business wasn't valued. Warning: The staff may sound warm and convincing over the phone, but the in-person reality is very different. Expect the ambience of a 1980s time capsule--fun only if you're nostalgic for that decade. The glowing reviews here are either wildly generous... or bought and paid for. If you want to be treated with respect and find a stunning gown for under $10K, I highly recommend Brilliant Bridal or Don't Box It Bridal instead.
