You can also just go in and get help, or sit with other beaders to finish a project your working on. Their seed bead, delica's crystal selections and findings are amazing at great prices. So many colors!!!! All around the store they have displays of beading projects completed to help you with ideas and colors to use with your own projects. The owners are so friendly and always willing to help with any question or any project your having problems with. I found this store because I took a class here, and had such a good time that I started to bead again. If you are looking to make beautiful jewelry for yourself or friends as gifts come here you won't be disappointed.

I also put in the notes on my registration the names of my friends so that we could sit together. The workshop was at 6pm on a Friday and lasted about two hours. There was my group of three and three others, plus the owner/instructor Lauren. Her instructions were easy to follow, and she would jump in if we needed help. I made a few errors, and she was able to fix them for me. I ended up making my loops too loose on the outside and too tight on the inside, so my blanket came out a bit small. But I think it was decent for my first attempt. It's so soft. I keep it on my couch to use as a lap blanket. We all had a great time and would definitely come back to try other workshops. My coworker had tried one of the resin workshops and really liked it too.

I had 2 pearl bracelets, neither expensive, which had broken cords & needed to be restrung. One jewelry store quoted me a total of $250 for both. Yeah, right. I took them to another jeweler I'd dealt with before, a nice guy who'd been very fair with me in previous dealings. He said that it was something they didn't do anymore because it's so labor intensive that it usually costs more to restring pearls than they're worth. He referred me to Bernie's Beads. When I showed Bernie what I had, not only did he string both bracelets that very afternoon, he also charged me a very fair price. I took the opportunity to wander around his store, too. If there is a bead on this planet Bernie doesn't carry, it's probably never been discovered by humans. I've never seen so many beads, charms, etc in one place before! I'm not a big bead guy. I fact, I don't use or wear them at all. I was at this shop with a friend. But, after seeing the variety an quantity of beads and other items I was impressed. I was even more impressed after meeting the owner and his two adult children. First of all they were very pleasant and outgoing, but it turns out Bernie is a world-renown authority on all things beads. He knows the history of all of them. He knows their significance in religion, trade, adornment and fashion. He knows how and where they were made. He knows what makes a bead valuable. He also knows how to put them together. This store is amazing! If you are looking for beads, necklace cord, charms, bracelet elastic or jewelry chain, or just a fun experience shopping, you have to check out this store. Bernie and his staff are friendly and knowledgable and can help you find almost any jewelry crafting supplies you might be looking for. As for prices, after buying a large quantity of supplies and then checking online prices when I got home, Bernie's prices are the best, hands down. So good, in fact, that even with the high gas prices these days, I still drive the long distance from my house to his store just for the price saving, large selections and friendly interactions. What a find! I'd been wanting to get some beads and also needed some repairs done, and a friend remembered the old Bernie's at another location. When we called and realized that the new place was farther away, Bernie said he'd wait for us even though it was near closing time. Well, we ended up spending close to three hours there (way past his dinner time :) and I came away with the most amazing selection of unusual beads. Plus Bernie took the time to take care of every little repair and restringing I had come with, making great suggestions all the way. Plus he taught us how to do some things on our own for the future. Bernie is personable, a nice guy, also an absolute expert and long time collector of rare and vintage African Trade Beads, and also a drummer! I get most of my gemstone, trade beads and findings from him. He is helpful and teaches me something new almost every time I go in to his shop. He always has new treasures but old ones too. And he has much more inventory than meets the eye. He'll sit with a customer for a long time to make sure he or she gets what they need. I know he ships. She took a look at the earrings and told me what options I had for converting them to a necklace. I went with a chain because it was easier and faster. She let me pick out whatever chain I wanted and triple checked to make sure I was comfortable with the length I chose, and then she made the earrings into two necklaces right there! I spent some time browsing afterwards and ended up coming home with a bracelet and some other beads that I'll just keep as trinkets. Highly recommend this place for anything you might need. Very reasonable prices too!

Most places would brush you off without even looking at it! She also cleaned a pair of my wife's diamond earrings and was super helpful and kind throughout my visit at the store. In fact I ended up buying a set of earrings there just because I was impressed with the help and kindness I received while there. A little small talk later, I walked out a happy customer. Multiple cases of jewelry, along with pieces hanging on the walls. It is an impressive selection. Employees are ready to not just sell jewelry but also give background information about the artist. Dream catchers found here are not limited to the standard design. Many have unique center patterns. Blue Nugget has their share of touristy items as well. They try to stay on brand with those being Southwest and South American themed products. A good portion of the items for children are touristy. A selection of prickly pear and spicy foods, mugs, shirts, small polished rocks/geodes, books, and mass produced jewelry. The list goes on. Commercially made jewelry is displayed seperate from the handmade pieces. This store is well stocked with merchandise. Items are thoughtfully arranged to maximize the space. Shelving matches the old west building they are housed. Historic look and the plethora of products are decor all on their own. When it comes to prices, for the most part, Blue Nugget has the other stores beat. Some of the best prices for a giftshop. Signs declaring this fact are not wrong. I wasn't expecting a giftshop in the ghost town to have such non tourist items. This giftshop could hold it's own outside of a tourist attraction. Blue Nugget is a great resource for gifts. They have different rules, they actually care about the person walking through their door instead of the items?!?! Their priority is honesty between them and the customers, they're more likely to pay out more each time you come. I needed money in a last minute situation and all I had on me was my $1000 2 in 1 laptop and charger. My problem was the trackpad wasn't working but it was touchscreen so I figured it was still pawnable.... I spent ALL day going city to city and shop to shop. Most stores wouldn't even look at it if it wasn't already at %100, nor let me charge it there. Cause the trackpad issue and the serial number being scratched off (even though I had used a label maker to print out the serial #) I almost went home empty handed. I called this location and even over the phone he answered EVERY question, especially ones that other shops would avoid or lie about. I picked it up today, and the clasp I selected works perfectly, because it also has safety hinges. I brought some scrap gold and broken silver bracelets to trade in for the repair cost. Abby, who originally helped me when I dropped the Omega necklace off, was there today as well. She meticulously tested each gold scrap and silver bracelet for authenticity and logged everything. She was professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I appreciate how thorough the procedures and rules are at the Gold Vampire when one sells precious metal.
