Not every project or job is a 1,2,3, to finish operation, so anything that takes out the error and saves you money is a bonus in my book and Reynolds does just that. I had never heard of the Phoenix Glass Center before, but thought it would be fun to make a stained glass sun catcher. Make sure you have your GPS activated because it's a bit tricky to find their location. It's hidden in an industrial area right next to the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport runway. We made sure to get to class early, as they had requested in their email. They have a shop with beautiful glass items for sale. They provide bottled water for students as well. Our class was in a second newer building just across the parking lot. Our instructor was Sarah. She was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and extremely patient with novice glass artists like myself. The class was set for three hours but it was a long process with many steps, so the class ran over. I didn't mind. I was happy not to be rushed through the process. All in all, it was a really fun evening! They are offering an upcoming stained glass class where you can make a Mother's Day frame.
