Happened to be in Scottsdale for vacation and my husband dropped me off while he went to run some errands. This is the place to shop for needlepoint if you have to stop in just to pick up a certain thread or if you want to browse for hours. More finished samples than I have ever seen at one shop! Exquisite stitching - not just basket weave and a few others thrown in. Actual works of art with many examples of ways to finish your canvas- not the same old pillows and frames. They had not one, but two trunk shows when I visited! Suzie picked out the most beautiful fibers and beads for a Melissa Shirley Vicki Sawyer canvas I happened upon in the sale room. She is definitely color and fiber expert! Suzie also helped me with fibers for two canvases that I had purchased somewhere else but could not seem to find the right fiber at my local needlepoint shop. And for someone who thought she owned it all, I came out with a couple of new accessories and a project bag.

Stopped in here while in Scottsdale- what a lovely store! I spoke with the owner and she was extremely friendly, helpful and pleasant. The store samples/models are amazing and make a stop in the shop worth it alone. They have a large supply of canvases as well as accessories- scissors, glasses, threads etc- everything you could want! I loved browsing at the amazing store samples as well as talking to the owner. I ended up picking up a canvas from the trunk show they had as well as a pair of readers- since I forgot mine! What a wonderful shop to browse, buy and talk all things needlepoint and needle arts crafting!

I would give negative stars if I could. I have never been treated so poorly and I am so deeply hurt and frustrated by my experience with Quail Run Needlework. I live in Connecticut and was confident in sending my canvas to Arizona in April as I had heard great things about their finishing. As an experienced stitcher, I have sent my canvases to many different places to be finished so I understand the process quite well. Rather than telling me they needed more time, they told me that I was being impatient and that clearly my life had not been affected by COVID. They called me "young", spoke to me rudely, and have continuously lied to me. I haven't seen my canvas in 9 months and would just like them to own up to the fact that they must have lost it and that I am never getting it back. I have called numerous times only to get shut down by Joanna. She would claim she had no clue what I was talking about and that Susan the owner would get back to me. Susan would never get back to me. She has only emailed me twice throughout this entire 9 month process. Not once has she picked up the phone to call me, a concerned customer. I'm really not sure how they find this to be an acceptable way to run their business. You can read through the details of my experience below. At the beginning of April 2020 I had reached out to inquire about finishing my canvas into a pillow. They responded yes, but informed be that fabric stores were closed at the time due to COVID. I sent my canvas in towards the end of April and never heard from them confirming they had received it. I continued to check in on it as the months went by, and I never got a true update from them as to the status of my pillow, or the fabric that I had asked them to get for me. At the end of July they finally informed me that they were able to get the fabric I requested and that my pillow was to be made within the next two weeks. I continued to check in on the status and continued to receive little to no information. On October 21st I received an email from the owner of the shop suggesting that it was best to return my unfinished canvas to me as I was being impatient and my life hadn't been affected by the pandemic. I agreed that they should send my canvas back. I felt so disrespected as it was extremely presumptuous of her to assume that my life has not been affected by Covid. Being a teacher myself, my life has largely been affected in many many ways. I told them that I did not want my canvas mailed back, and that rather someone would come in to pick it up for me once it was back at their stores location from the finisher. I would check in occasionally to ask if the canvas was back from the finisher. On December 11th, I received an email from the owner saying that the store will no longer accept my calls and that my canvas had been mailed FEDEX with a signature required. I replied asking for tracking and have not heard from them since. It is now January 10th and I still have not heard from them OR received my canvas via FedEx which leads me to believe it was never put in the mail in the first place. If they had lost my canvas, I wish they had just been honest and communicative from the beginning and reimbursed me in some way. Needlepointers take great pride in their work and trust that the final steps in their products are also treated with care. I will never recommend this company to anyone in the needlepoint community.

We supplied this work in May and got the items returned in October with no efforts made.

What a horrible experience! From the start the lady in the shop, Susan, was rude, inconsiderate, and disrespectful. She never addressed us and then when we came to her for help she turned to another custom and rudely ignored us again. After the less than average customer service, we still decided to give them a chance. We provided a Hardanger cross stitch egg and the fabric to complete the item at their shop. This was in May and they took 1 photo of the work. Then, months later in July they ask us to send more photos as they weren't "provided enough" when Susan took the photos herself. Poor job planning and poor customer service. Was it your first time? Now in Pate October after months of calls and emails to Susan and her team, they returned all materials and never did any work! Pathetic! Don't come her unless you want terrible service and you items to be held without any response or efforts put into them. The litany If excuses was mesmerizing and just plain lame. It doesn't take 1,2,4,or 5 months to reply to a call or email and no excuse is acceptable. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

Nice selection of threads and unique canvases. Absolutely inspirational finished work on display. Expert help if you ask.

I have not received my $1200 payment from a December trunk show. It's basically theft in my opinion.

I was on the hunt for some specific paper for bookbinding and was not disappointed by the options. Not only did I find the blank paper I needed, I found a great selection of more specialty and fun paper as well as stationary pens and a few other basic bookbinding materials. They have much more than that though, including all your arts and craft needs, paints, pens, pencils, canvas, etc and fun trinkets, cute stationary type such as journals, stickers, etc. The prices are all very reasonable and they do offer student/teacher discounts. They were running a back to school donation drive for the local schools, which you received a 20% coupon for a return visit. It's only downfall is the parking, alas it is on campus and shared space with lots of high traffics restaurants and groceries, but if you don't find a spot right away, usually a lap or two will do it.
