This makes it easy to find an original gift for anyone on your list since they do seem to have a little bit of everything. A cute aspect to the store is Trixie Carter- shop girl. Her work impressively ranges from jewelry, wall art and sculptures to home and garden metal work, such a gates, window covers, etc, including commissioned works. Her studio is open to the public during 4th Friday Art Walks, and often on Friday or Saturday, otherwise an appointment is needed. In addition to her work, she has guests artists who will display their work or offer classes. During the last Art Walk she has a guest artist doing a glass blowing demonstration. It is a fantastic 2-day festival held annually on the four-acre Sharlott Hall Museum campus. This year it was held on July 14-15. The variety of beautiful items on display and for sale is impressive: jewelry, clothing, wood carvings, ceramics, sculptures in all sorts of mediums, paintings, baskets, blankets... If you love Native American artistry as much as I do, this is definately an event to watch for. A blurb from the museum website for the 2018 festival says: "More than 102 juried American artists, representing 30 tribes and pueblos, will present traditional and contemporary artwork making PIAM one of the Southwest's premier Indian-art markets." This is one of the better shows in Prescott.
