As all previous yelpers have stated...They saw the reviews, took a chance and it paid off. After being given a 1.5week window for repair on our dryer that went out, I panicked (freaked out) as I have a newborn and a toddler (Plus a husband and me) where laundry is 24/7 and I wouldn't have survived. Called and got a same day appointment and Vladimir showed up and helped fix the dryer and gave me tips on what l needed to do. When we need anything fixed in the future as far as appliances, we will use him. Very nice man and honest. Highly recommend. read more

On Aug. 29, 2016, I arrived home after being in Europe for 30 days, to find that both doors on my big GE fridge were glued shut! I could not pry the doors open. When I pulled harder and stuck my fingers between gasket and fridge, OMG, it was so glued shut, that I was horrified to see that I was pulling the gasket off the freezer and fridge doors! I had to use hot water to get the gasket to release off the fridge, then I saw what happened. The fridge stopped cooling and all the various forms of ice cream I kept in the freezer door had melted and traveled all the way around and into both freezer and fridge gaskets, dried and fused the gaskets to the body of fridge, so when I pulled hard, it pulled the gasket out of the doors, instead of off the fridge. Some of my food in the freezer was still frozen, other food cool, but not frozen, but nothing smelled bad. Lower fridge, quite warm and obviously not functioning right. I Yelped "Appliance Repair" using "highest rated first" filter, and came up with Vladimir and Phoenix Appliance Service. It was 2 pm and Vladimir answered with live voice right away. I told him I just returned from Europe and what I described above. He asked where I was located, told me it would be a $75 trip charge which includes some of the service, and said incredibly, "I can be there in 30 min, I just had a cancellation". He told me to remove everything out of the fridge. And at 2:30 there he was, in front of my house! Vladimir is from USSR and has been fixing appliances for 8 years. He had a "trainee" who said he had been following Vladimir on his service calls for 5 weeks now. The trainee removed the back panel from inside the freezer to reveal tons of ice. Most of the hour and half Vladimir spent at my house was defrosting this ice with hair dryer and moping up water with towels, so he could access, test, and diagnose to see what was wrong. He saw that the thermostat which is exactly the size and shape of a 2 liter bottle cap, looked like it had raised and protruded abnormally out of the housing, like a popover would in the oven. He suspected bad thermostat was the problem as the symptoms all matched, and got new one from his truck. Total out-the-door bill was $195.33, cash/check price. He charges % more for credit card. He told me to keep putting hot water in container in freezer to steam the rest of the ice for another 4 hours. After four hours, I plugged in the fridge but the motor did not turn on as I expected it would, but the lights in the fridge were on. Oh no! Fridge isn't working. By now it was 8 pm, and my now defrosted food would be without refrigeration all night. After 20 min, fridge still did not turn on, dead! I called the business, but got answering service who took my message. Vladimir did not call back that night, but after another 30 min, I could hear that the fridge motor was finally now running. After a few hours, I could feel it was certainly cooling. Vladimir called me in the morning, and told me that it was "normal" for the fridge not to start right away, but I wish he told me when he was here, so I wouldn't panic. I am writing this review 4 days later and my fridge is running GREAT! He saved my food, and I couldn't believe he was at my door in 30 min after calling him. Vladimir is my appliance man now, also fixes microwaves. I like to fix rather than toss and buy another one. read more

Vlad has done it again. Another fridge wouldn't get below 45. Vladimir was at the house within 24 hours. He fixed the fridge without a fuss. Fair price. Happy tenants. Happy landlord. read more

Vladimir helped us out on a holiday and had the part we needed for our refrigerator in his truck. Thank you for your great service and kindness in coming to help on such short notice! Highly recommend! read more

They were on time and very nice. He stuck with us through a troubled trash compactor issue until problem was resolved. Very responsible and honest. I highly recommend them. Also, he actually called and told me he could come early if I would like him too! YES.... that never happens. Good people read more

My refrigerator and freezer was running at high temps, when I had a previous technician (from another company) come to perform a diagnostic, he opened the fridge, closed it and said I needed a whole new control board and sensors. charged me $70 and handed me a $475 work order and went on his way...REALLY??. Shortly after, Vladimir showed up at my door diagnosed the problem as being simply a heater replacement, performed the service professionally and the complete bill including time, parts etc. was SIGNIFICANTLY less than the other company. As consumers we feel a sense of vulnerability whenever service professionals visit our homes. Vladimir was kind, professional and clearly put my mind at ease with honest affordable and efficient service! I highly recommend Phoenix Appliance services and have the comfort in knowing who to call in the event any other appliance maintenance is required!! read more

Washing machine broke down....called Phoenix Appliance Repair. They were responsive and communicative. Had my washer looked at within a few days. Two weeks after it being repaired they called to see how it was working. Wow! To me that's excellent customer service! Definitely recommend this business and will continue to use them. read more

Wow! What a fantastic experience. My guests at my vacation home had ice cream that melted in the freezer! Literally everyone was closed on Thanksgiving Day. I was referred to PAS by my contractors. Great communication and prompt service. Finding someone that is willing to take time out of their holIday to come take care of a failed appliance goes above and beyond service. Thanks again! As a Realtor out of state working remotely to find someone that is trustworthy in AZ I will be sharing your info with other agents! read more

I contacted this company based on the reviews here on Yelp. I'm so glad I did!! Prompt, professional service, even on a Sunday! Vladimir was helpful, asking questions before he arrived to make the best use of his (and my) time. This preparation enabled him to quickly verify the issue and get it addressed when he arrived. I recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again!! read more

Vladimir came on time as scheduled. He was professional and reasonable in cost. I would recommend him to all our family and friends. He was perfect! read more

Very nice and friendly! Did not pressure us but gave us options on what to do. Would definitely use them again.

Our dishwasher quit draining and we needed it repaired. We had used Vladimir in the past and liked the service so we called him again. He was punctual, friendly and experienced as expected. But he went well above and beyond expectations over the course of the service. After trying an initial fix the problem reoccured so he came right back the same day. I tried to tip him for that but he refused saying it was part of the service. He tried several things and came to the conclusion it was a circuit board and left us with the decision to repair or replace. He did not push a repair but instead provided valuable council on the repair/replace decision. We were thinking about it when my phone rang and it was Vladimir. Instead of leaving us to decide he had done additional research and had one more thing to try. He came back a third time the same day without being asked and took the maching apart. Sadly that didn't work as the original conclsion was correct but the fact that he went that extra mile to help was was well above what I would expect. Again he refused extra payment. In the end we will buy a new machine but I will be a forever customer of Vladimir's. read more

Our dryer went out and Phoenix Appliance Repair was able to come out the day after we called them. They were so helpful and really knew what they were doing. I would definitely use them again. Highly Recommend them for any appliance repair. read more

Do not use Appliance Geeks- not a legitimate company & their ad is bogus!! Ad has coupon for free service call but when they walk in the door & look at appliance - not running any test etc. but call it a diagnostic fee & charge $79.00 which what is what legit companies call a Service Fee!!! They also quote exorbitant repair prices which is only way to get your "diagnostic fee" back! RIP OFF !!!!!!!! read more

I needed a fridge repair and called. They came out same day, had to order a part. It came in and they came backend replaced it. Great job. read more

I called Phoenix Appliance Repair regarding a repair to the icemaker in my subzero refrigerator. I spoke with Alec. Very professional and kind. He personally came to my home, on a Saturday, and replaced my icemaker. I had previously called other companies and many charged a trip charge but would not apply it to the work. Phoenix appliance charges a trip charge but they apply that charge to the work. Their trip charge is also less than many other companies. I was happy with the work and professionalism of this family owned business. read more

Paid the service charge. Got nothing fixed. No plan to fix anything. No estimate. It's like you call the company and they send a guy to take the service charge. Not sure if if it's a real company. read more

I So thankful for Phoenix Appliance. Our motor fan went out on our fridge over the weekend. Phoenix Appliance was the only service company that could accommodate our repair the same day. I will definitely be using their service in the future! read more

A pleasure doing business with Phx Appliance Repair. Nick was such a professional, knows exactly what is wrong and assesses the problem, informs you of the fix, gives an honest quote and performs the repair with expertise. I didn't know if it was worth fixing my 10 yo side by side fridge, but Nick explained things in a highly satisfactory way so that I went with the repair instead of expending $$$ to order and buy a new fridge. So glad that I did. Was in a panic and the response I got after my initial phone call to Phx Appliance Repair was prompt; my repair was done the very same day. This company deserves all 5 stars. Highly recommend it. Thank you. read more

Grateful! Honest, on time, and very reliable. Two thumbs up from a single mom who now has a cold fridge and freezer again

Phoenix Appliance Repair scheduled time within 24 hours of my initial call to come and repair my French door refrigerator. Vladimir was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and addressed the issue with my appliance the same day. Their price was fair and appropriate. I would recommend Phoenix Appliance Repair to my friends and would use them again in the future. read more

FYI...THIS APPLIANCE GUY WAS GREAT! On Sunday we awoke to a broken fridge and freezer. We had a big mess on our hands. GE Service would not come out until Monday, so we reached out further with a hope and a prayer. Phoenix Appliance Services is located up north and the owner was happy to come out that very Sunday morning! He had us take a picture of the refrigerator/freezer so that he came with potentially all the proper parts. He couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. The job was done at a very reasonable cost within three hours. We will definitely call him for normal maintenance. Vladimir is the owner and the man who came out. They service all kinds of appliances. 5 Stars for sure! 602-330-6920 read more

I had chosen to contact Phoenix Appliance Repair Services because I saw good reviews here. When I called the listed number, Vladimir answered, he said that they could come and fix our washer and refrigerator, but he could not speak because he was with a client. "Send me your address", he said. When I texted him our address, he said that Oleg, will be contacting me. Oleg got in touch with me the same day, and we set up the appointment for him to come and inspect our washer and dryer. He did not come at the appointment time because he was busy and I told him that we could reschedule it. When he finally came, he said that motor in the washer needed to be replaced, and the compressor in the refrigerator needed to be replaced as well. He said that his father, Vladimir would be sending me the repair costs. I never got the repair costs from Vladimir. I called the same number a few times, but their answering service was telling me that Vladimir was in the field and offered me to schedule an appointment. Every time, I needed to explain to them that I already had the appointment and was waiting for the estimate from Vladimir. They would take a message, but no one got back to me. After waiting for a while, I just called a different company. They came on time. And it ended up that the cold control panel was bad in the refrigerator, nothing wrong with the compressor. So it's $80 part vs the $800 for the compressor. And in the washer the motor starter and the censor needed to be replaced! I would not trust this company again! read more

My washing machine broke over the weeknd. I called & received a next day appointment. Mike & Kevin, the owners were most reassuring. Mike's partner Kevin arrived on time with Jason, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part & had my washer up & running as promised within two days. The work was done efficiently & carefully. Pricing was fair. My washer is working better than ever. The laundry room looked as good when they left as when they arrived. They certainly know what they re doing. read more

The best service for repair in the valley, no doubt. Vladimir did a great job diagnosing and repairing my broken refrigerator, making the process smooth and swift. He was kind enough to provide same day service, great pricing, and was a very nice gentleman to deal with. If you need something fixed right the first time, give these guys a call! read more

Alec was amazing! Alec insisted that I be certain the part he installed fixed the problem before he sent me a bill. Highly recommend!

Vladimir is top notch at what he does and is gentleman through and through. Not only was he prompt in responding, but explained the possible causes of the problems (as well as the costs) before I began diagnosing. He was quick to get to the root of the issue and was very efficient in remedying it. He was a straight shooter and very courteous to deal with. I would recommend him without question. read more

I guess I hit them on a bad day. After a great experience with Vladimir a few years ago, I called this morning with a leaking issue. After pictures being sent and a three hour wait, Nate told me the only way to diagnose the issue was for me to pull out the fridge and send more pictures. It would be a minimum of $250 if I didn't move the fridge myself. I can't move the fridge myself so I will have to go elsewhere. read more

Do not hesitate to call Vladimer with your appliance repairs. I've had terrible luck with venders since moving to AZ. He was hands down the best!!! I have an older Sub Zero freezer that many would have replaced. He was able to fix my freezer for me and now it's running like it's brand new. He went through various tests to ensure he was only fixing what needed to be fixed. He was professional, friendly and very fair. I will always use Vladimer for my appliance needs. Do yourself a favor and call him if you need someone. read more

My experience with this company has been nothing but frustrating! I contacted them after seeing the good reviews on yelp which gave me high hopes. I highly rely on yelp for any services. I contacted them on a Thursday afternoon only to be told the technician would contact me to schedule. They never did. I called them again on Saturday morning to try and schedule, again I was told a technician would call and it was marked "urgent". I finally did receive a call only to be told a technician would call and schedule a date to come out. Weird process! Finally I received a text message from Nick the technician that asked what was wrong with the washer. After I explained thru txt what was going on he had a txt message diagnostic! Really Nick! He never even came out to see the unit and already knew what was wrong with it. He says it's $500 to fix and takes 7-10 business days to get the part. All this without coming to look at washer. It seemed clear to me that he did not want to come look at the unit. Wish I didn't wait 2 days for this BS, not worth my time. read more

After reading the reviews, I decided to go ahead and call. My mistake. We bought a used Whirlpool refrigerator that suddenly stopped worked a little over a week after we got it, then started working again. Needed to diagnose and fix the problem. The tech called back very quickly and scheduled for the next morning. Wonderful! Then he proceeded to tell me that just for future reference I should never buy a used appliance. Whether I buy used or new isn't his business or open to his opinion, which I didn't ask for. I called for service, not unsolicited "advice." Therefore, I called a different company and they'll be getting my business. read more

I was very pleased with the quick response when my refrigerator quit working. They technician (Vladimir) quickly analyzed the problem and made repairs. He took the time to show me which part had malfunctioned and even had a replacement part in the service van. I would recommend this company for any major appliance repair. Phil B. read more
